You're feeling a little peckish, and you have some money to burn... Maybe you'll go out to a restaurant! And maybe you can take someone with you?
Out to Eat w/Touchstarved LIs
This'll be more modern cos, to be frank? The food in Eridia scares me. And I'm the type of person who'll eat most stuff.
Vere
“Think very carefully about where you want to take me. If you make the wrong choice... I just might punish you for it.”
If you are taking him out, do NOT take him to The Cheesecake Factory. Wherever you're going better be nice, and you better be paying.
While “nice” in this case does usually mean “ridiculously expensive”, I think Vere would appreciate you taking him anywhere the food is exceptional, once he gets over the plebian aesthetic. Michelin-starred fast food, y'know.
I definitely empathize with Vere in the sense that I think both of our approaches to food at restaurants is, “I like what I like, and what I like is usually the most expensive thing on the menu.”
I think Vere prefers eating food with his hands over utensils! How he doesn't get rice and sauce under his nails, I wish I knew.
If Vere takes you somewhere, it'll almost certainly have a dress code, and he'll expect you to put some effort into following it. He's showing you off as much as he's taking you out.
He's also going to choose a place with a decent drink menu, one where the selection of wines and cocktails aren't just an afterthought. Alternatively, he might take you out for a nice dinner and go for nice drinks after.
SIDE NOTE: It is alright to go to The Cheesecake Factory if it is solely for the cheesecake. Vere will NOT be going inside, though. It's tacky as hell in there. What if it infects him or something?
Kuras
“I have no preferences. So choose wherever you'd like.”
He won't be eating anything, but he is more than happy to be your conversation partner for a quick meal.
He will take a single glass of water, though. And he will think worse of the place if their water tastes like shit.
[insert Neuvillette Genshin Impact: "Water comes in many flavors to the discerning palate...”]
And by the way? He takes his water with lemon, garçon. Please and thank you.
He would have no idea where to take you to eat, because, you know... he doesn't need to eat. But he'd do a lot of research in advance to pick someplace he thinks you'd like.
This can lead to Kuras taking you places where the food looks amazing but tastes just alright. He does read reviews, but he just gets so enchanted with the appearance of it...
Regardless, you always appreciate the effort. And even though Kuras doesn't need to eat, he might like to get a little cup of sorbet or a cappuchino with you after dinner.
Ais
“Sure, sparrow. Where to?”
You can take him somewhere fancy! But don't expect him to dress or act according to etiquette. He will not.
You can also take him somewhere trashy! Ais will pretty much eat anything, though he's got a strangely blasé aversion to seafood.
That's not to say he doesn't have his preferences, he's just...not picky. Like, at all. You've seen him put stuff in his mouth that you wouldn't touch with gloves on, nevermind eat. He's never gotten sick, though, so maybe that's why he's so cavalier.
Ais knows all the secret spots (and their owners) so if he takes you out it'll be to some hole-in-the-wall restaurant or food truck you've never heard of that doesn't appear anywhere online.
It will be some of the best food you've ever had, though. I could see Ais being a huge fusion cuisine fan, so he's taking you places with, like, mac n' cheese egg rolls and tandoori chicken quesadillas on their menus.
Depending on how much the owner likes Ais (they usually like him quite a lot) you might get your meal at a steep discount, or even free! Thanks for being so likeable, Ais~
Leander
“Take me—? No, no, no, let me take you somewhere! It's the least I can do.”
Taking Leander out is easy cos he never complains about the place. He's the type of person who always finds something good to say even if it's a 1-star experience.
He will leave a 1-star review, though. LOL.
And, of course, if it's bad he will fall all over himself to make sure you know it's not your fault and he loves and appreciates you for bringing him. And he always pays for both of you score!
Wherever you take him, he'll insist that he loves it, which obviously isn't true. He definitely has preferences, but his rich-boy's palette doesn't rule him.
I feel like there's a specific type of cuisine he probably really likes. My first thought was Mediterranean? He could probably tear up some moussaka.
He'll maybe try a little too hard to impress you if he takes you out? he takes you somewhere that's way too expensive but the food itself is... just alright. He was easily charmed by the high price tag.
Mhin
“...if you insist. Hmph. This better not be a waste of time.”
I actually think a huge consideration for Mhin when going out is the restaurant atmosphere. Like, it can't be too loud or too quiet, not too dirty but also not sterile, and so on and so forth.
It's almost like Mhin wants to get out of eating here and just wants to take the food to go...
Mhin doesn't really care about the food tbh. They will pretend they hate all of it, with some exceptions, and they will still eat most of the meal because old habits die hard.
Any place with good soups and stews will rank highly for Mhin. I wonder how they feel about the Panera broccoli-cheddar soup?
There used to be a “dessert restaurant” near where I lived that exclusively served cakes, cookies, pies, and simple drinks in a cozy, fairy-lit space. Take Mhin there and they will love you forever.
Mhin also has some secret spots of their own, but these are mainly family-owned places making time-tested recipes.
You can rest assured that if Mhin takes you somewhere to eat, you'll leave feeling like you just left your grandma's house. Unless your grandma can't cook, in which case you'll leave feeling like you just left the house of a grandma that can.

this is super random but in a modern au what do you think jean and pieck's favorite foods would be?
for some reason I've always seen jean liking fish, and pieck being averse to seafood (lmao) bc I think it'd be fun to see how they'd work around their day to day like that, having opposite tastes in food.
in any case, I'm always interested to hear other people's jeanpiku headcanons and would love to hear yours if you're willing to share! :3
Hmmmm okay great question!!!
So I feel like Jean is very much a steak and potatoes guy who would always be down for a date at Ruth Chris or some other upscale steakhouse, but his guilty secret is that he could fuck up an Olive Garden any day of the week. He’s a big dude with a big appetite and he likes to get his money’s worth, so he doesn’t mind springing for the big portions. He doesn’t seem like the type to branch out a ton so you wouldn’t really see him at real hole-in-the-wall places that serve really obscure food. He’s OKAY with sushi but doesn’t really go past salmon sashimi. On VACATION? This is a man that loves to go fishin’. You can see him booking a deep sea fishing day with Reiner and Connie (while forcing Armin to come as well), and is very excited to show off his catch to Pieck when they get off. Any of those beach front restaurants that serve blackened snapper caught early that morning HATE to see this man coming, and he loves some good oysters if they’re grilled and swimming with garlic and butter. He likes a lot of dried fruit as well and does the “dad wiggling peanuts in his hand” thing. Pieck makes fun of it. He doesn’t have a sensitive stomach but very spicy food will definitely make him feel terrible later.
Pieck is a pickle girl. Pieck is a pasta girl. Pieck is a “full packet of sauce and an extra helping on top” Buldak noodles girl. Pieck will eat anything once and actually does manage to expand Jean’s palate a bit, but he leaves her to tackle raw oysters and uni by herself. Pieck will go into the dingiest restaurant on the street because she KNOWS the B rating on the health code sheet just stands for “best food on the block”. She has never gotten food poisoning. She will never get food poisoning. She also LOVES cake and will eat anything with cherries. She always argues that she can finish her entire meal, but usually gets about 3/4 of the way before tapping out and letting Jean take the leftovers. Jean always insists on taking her somewhere nice on her birthday but he’s learned to not even fight it when she says she wants to go to Cheesecake Factory.
Both of them like a good charcuterie board and some wine and oftentimes make a board that costs upwards of $150 just to sit in front of their fireplace and gossip all night long.
Their kids also grow up with a healthy relationship with food because neither of them really care much about calories more than they push the need to balance things out. The kids ONLY get candy if they eat ALL their broccoli, but they don’t complain because Jean can steam the SHIT out of vegetables.
Anyway thank u for the ask this was fun :3

I just went to the cheesecake factory for the first time. I spent the past few days looking at the vast ocean of options, meticulously calculating my perfect meal. By the time I got to the restaurant, I knew what I wanted, except the cheesecake. I had narrowed it down to a few options, but I felt very indecisive.
I kept looking at the cheesecake options, and the white chocolate raspberry truffle kept sticking out to me, I felt like I had heard good things about it before.
Then it hit me
Retch and Twink had ranked it #1 in their cheesecake factory gut check
I got it even though I'm not a big fan of white chocolate. When I tell you that was the best cheesecake I have ever had in my life, believe it.
I tried all the other cheesecakes that were ordered, and the next best one was the classic strawberry. Everyone at the table wished they had ordered the white chocolate raspberry truffle.
Moral of the story, trust Rachet and Clank's gut checks if you want the best foods

Transcript:
One week.
My apologies for not posting this one here first... I didn't have time to do any replies though this morning, so I figured waiting til I had just a little time would be best. Either way, in case you hadn't read it yet, here's a post from our Tumblr earlier today:
One week that I hardly even remember since we finished the record. I use the term “finished” lightly because even while I’m typing all this I’m listening to an unfinished mix of one of the new songs. The guys and I still have approvals of all those to go through, album art, masters… is this boring to read yet?
Well, at least let me tell you this before we all from excitement over here. We have the extreme pleasure of working with yet another of our heroes on our 4th album… as if this process wasn’t already unbelievable… Ken Andrews of Failure/Year of the Rabbit/ON (some of our biggest inspirations/influences as a band) is mixing this album for us! Between Ken, JMJ, and Roger Manning, Jr. we are sort of in a musical daze. The amount of talent that is going into what we’re a part of right now is awe-inspiring for us as music fans. As a band, it’s humbling. If you’re not familiar with any of these guys’ past work, please do yourself the grand favor of using The Google to research and discover what each of them have created respectively. And if you’re interested in hearing an album that truly gave Paramore a beginning… then buy a copy of Failure’s ‘Fantastic Planet’.
And if you’re bored now then there is simply no hope for the future.
So what now? Basically, we’ll be “off” and “on” for the next little while putting together all the pieces that will (hopefully) be in your very hands before you know it. Just thinking about it makes me dizzy. In the greatest way possible. Like first kiss, first show, first time seeing the Cheesecake Factory menu… that kind of dizzy. It’s been, what, 3 years since we put out an album? Life at home, alone with my thoughts is cool and all but it feels like my brain is swelling up inside my head. I think I need to do something besides cooking healthy meals and fixing up Martha Stewart paper-craft decor for each holiday season. Blahhh domestication. (Let’s get this show on the road please!!)

end of year asks 12 13 18 kiss i love you
Hiiii babe
Talk about a new friend you made this year - oh my god where do I even begin? I have made sooooo many new friends this year and it’s hard to pick just one, but sometimes you meet people and it feels like they’ve been apart of you all along, and that’s YOU, baby 💙💙
How was your birthday this year? - well, I’ll paste my Instagram caption here:
I have so many unanswered birthday messages to return as I have genuinely been in a puddle all weekend.
Birthday weekend pictures feat:
Pierre Gasly’s P3 Sprint Race finish which resulted in me crying.
Barbie which resulted in me crying.
People being too nice to me which resulted in me crying.
Charles Leclerc’s P3 Race finish which resulted in me crying.
Going to get a very very important tattoo which resulted in me crying.
And the album which Carly Rae Jepsen released on FRIDAY taking over my monthly music wrap up because I’ve played it nonstop and it’s perfect and it’s resulted in me (let’s all say it together) CRYING.
Thank you for the birthday love.
I’m stronger, better, funnier, and weirder than I was last year and holy shit, I wouldn’t change a single second of it.
A memorable meal this year? - oh I’ve had a few!
Some of my favorites:
- I make a roast chicken as our “last meal” in every house we leave behind and I did it again this year. It was the first thing I ever cooked when Goose and I moved in together and now I use it to mark the passing of time
- the burrito I ate while driving to LA in Friday afternoon traffic because they canceled our train and I had Louis Tomlinson tickets at the Bowl
- the Cheesecake Factory I ate in a random hotel outside of Portland because I bought a last minute plane ticket to see two of my best friends in the entire world and by the time I landed, and we got to our hotel, everything was closed except for Cheesecake Factory??? And then we sat up and gossiped all night and my heart was full
- the breakfast I had with River and our flat Sol sitting in a restaurant that I directly reference in Blue Neighbourhood where we talked for far longer than we should have but it was worth all the missed work emails
- the sandwich and potato salad I ate at this cafe in the square in my hometown when I had a crashing realization that I didn’t hurt to be there
- the hot dogs and smores my kids and I cooked over a campfire in TN while on our cross country roadtrip after the most perfect day exploring a town and laying in the leaves

Traditional Eastern European Frozen Foods: The Best Way to Buy, Enjoy, and Order Authentic Taste Online
The growing popularity of Eastern European cuisine across Germany and beyond has made it easier than ever to enjoy traditional delicacies like pelmeni, vareniki, borschtsch, blinis, and chebureki from the comfort of home. With the surge in demand for frozen food delivery and ready-made meals, many now prefer to buy frozen dumplings, order homemade pelmeni, or buy Russian food online instead of spending hours preparing these complex dishes themselves. This comprehensive guide will help you navigate the best ways to buy caviar in Germany, order manti, and stock your freezer with high-quality Eastern European frozen foods.
Why Frozen Eastern European Foods Are So Popular
Frozen Eastern European foods combine convenience with rich culinary tradition. Dishes such as Russian pelmeni, Ukrainian borschtsch, usbekischer plov, and tschebureki are complex to prepare from scratch. They often require hours of marinating, slow cooking, and dough-making. With homemade food with delivery services, customers can now access authentic flavors without sacrificing their time.
Quality is no longer a concern. Thanks to advanced freezing technologies, texture, taste, and nutrition are preserved. Whether you’re looking to buy frozen vegetables, buy pork fat, or order frozen cabbage rolls, you can be confident that the quality meets modern expectations. For busy individuals, students, families, or anyone craving Russian food or Ukrainian food, buying frozen semi-finished products online is both practical and satisfying.
Essential Products to Buy Online: What to Look For
Eastern European food lovers often seek authentic products that aren’t available in standard supermarkets. Here’s a breakdown of the most in-demand items:
1. Pelmeni, Manti, Dumplings
If you’re craving meat-filled pasta, pelmeni kaufen, manti kaufen, and dumplings bestellen are excellent options. These stuffed dough pockets come with pork, beef, chicken, or mixed fillings, and are typically served with sour cream or vinegar. You can buy homemade pelmeni or opt for factory-made versions — both retain authentic flavor when frozen correctly.
To make your own, you can also buy dumpling teig or buy dough for khinkali — ideal for custom fillings or a fun cooking project.
2. Vareniki, Wareniki, Teigtaschen
Vareniki kaufen or wareniki kaufen for sweet or savory stuffed dumplings — think potatoes, cherries, or cottage cheese. These are often confused with pelmeni but differ in their dough thickness and fillings. Teigtaschen kaufen is a broader term that includes both vareniki and manti, allowing you to explore several regional varieties.
3. Borschtsch, Gemüse für Suppe
You can now easily buy borschtsch gemüse or even ukrainischer borschtsch as a frozen ready-to-heat option. Whether you want to fertiggerichte bestellen or buy frozen food products online, ready-made borschtsch is an ideal comfort food. Want to cook it yourself? Gemüse für Suppe kits, sometimes labeled buy borschtsch Kasachstan, offer everything pre-chopped and portioned.
4. Caviar, Blinis, Seafood
Luxury meets tradition with russischer kaviar. You can buy caviar, order red caviar, or buy caviar in Germany with fast refrigerated delivery. Perfect when paired with blinis kaufen, sour cream, and chives. Also explore seafood delivery services that offer marinated herring, smoked salmon, and crab sticks — popular items in Eastern European cuisine.
5. Meat Products: Schweinebauch, Speck, Lard
Many traditional recipes include pork fat as a base for flavor. Schweinebauch kaufen, speck kaufen, or buy pork fat online and add it to your soups, stews, or pan-fried dishes. Looking for convenience? You can order lard pre-packaged and frozen for long-term use.
6. Prepared Dishes and Sides
Don’t overlook classic dishes like usbekischer plov, russian kotleti, or cheesecakes. You can also buy frozen pies, buy frozen cabbage rolls, or buy frozen cevapcici — all of which can be oven-baked or pan-heated in minutes. Many providers now offer buy frozen food products online that cater to dietary needs, including halal, vegetarian, and gluten-free.
7. Chebureki, Tshebureki, Pancakes
Crispy and juicy tschebureki are ideal as a quick lunch or party snack. You can buy pie for tschebureki or even tschebureki teig kaufen if you’d like to stuff them at home. For convenience, many now choose to buy frozen chebureki or chebureki delivery with reheating instructions. Want something lighter? Try order pancakes with delivery, especially stuffed with sweet cheese or meats.
8. Dough and Semi-Finished Ingredients
If you enjoy cooking but want a head start, buy frozen semi-finished products like doughs, meatballs, or partially cooked entrees. You can buy cookie dough, buy dough for khinkali, or buy frozen dumplings ready for your favorite sauce. Many of these options now fall under fertiggerichte online bestellen, meaning you can prepare them fresh, fast, and on your terms.
Ordering Eastern European Food Online: How to Choose the Right Store
The market is growing, and options are expanding. When you decide to buy ready-made food, homemade food to order, or simply tiefkühlprodukte bestellen, here are critical factors to evaluate:
Authenticity: Look for suppliers that specialize in Russian food, Polish food, or Ukrainian food. Products should be labeled with ingredients, origin, and cooking instructions.
Freshness and Packaging: Frozen items must be vacuum-sealed or securely packed to retain flavor and safety. Ensure your provider has reliable delivery pelmeni or manti delivery systems, including cold-chain logistics.
Diversity: A good store should let you order seafood, order soup, order dumplings home, or even buy frozen vegetables and snacks in one go.
Customer Reviews: Always check how others rate the provider’s delivery, quality, and customer support before placing your order.
Reliable platforms now let customers across Germany order homemade food with delivery, including unique items like buy frozen chebureki, buy tschebureki, and order borschtsch that was prepared using family recipes passed down generations.
Tips for Cooking and Storing Frozen Eastern European Foods
Once you’ve stocked up on items like buy cheesecakes, buy frozen manti, or buy frozen semi-finished products, it’s essential to store and cook them correctly. Keep your freezer below -18°C, and always follow defrosting guidelines for optimal taste.
For pelmeni and vareniki:
Boil in salted water until they float plus 2–3 minutes.
Serve with butter, sour cream, or fried onions.
For tschebureki or manti:
Deep-fry directly from frozen, or steam gently if labeled as steamed dumplings.
Pair with yogurt-based sauces or spicy ketchup for contrast.
For borschtsch:
If frozen as a block, defrost in the fridge overnight or microwave on defrost mode.
Enhance with fresh herbs, a dollop of sour cream, or rye bread on the side.
These dishes aren’t just meals — they’re pieces of cultural identity, now made accessible through buy ready-made food at home services across Europe.
Final Thoughts
Eastern European cuisine offers a robust, hearty, and flavorful journey into the soul of traditional cooking. From dumplings kaufen and kaviar kaufen, to fertiggerichte bestellen and teigtaschen kaufen, modern consumers can explore rich culinary experiences without leaving home.
By choosing to buy frozen food products online, you gain access to premium-quality meals, often handmade or semi-handmade, and delivered directly to your door. Whether you want a comforting bowl of ukrainischer borschtsch, a plate of Russian pelmeni, or a crispy tschebureki, the modern frozen food market brings tradition to your table — quickly, safely, and deliciously.
As the demand grows for homemade semi-finished products, regional food delivery services and specialized stores continue expanding their offerings. Start with a few staples like buy frozen dumplings, order pancakes with delivery, and buy frozen chebureki — and you’ll soon discover just how easy it is to enjoy authentic Russian and Ukrainian food in your everyday meals.

Why F&B Brands Need to Think Beyond the Menu to Win Customers
In the competitive world of food and beverage, it's easy to think that a killer menu is all you need to succeed. But in reality, the best brands know that the experience is what keeps customers coming back.
It’s about creating a space, an atmosphere, a feeling that resonates with your audience long after the meal is over. Take The Cheesecake Factory, for example—while their menu is extensive, it's the experience of dining there, with its inviting décor and bustling energy, that turns first-timers into loyal patrons.
Here’s the thing: today's consumers don’t just want food, they want a story. Think of Blue Bottle Coffee, which doesn’t just sell coffee—it tells a story about craftsmanship, sustainability, and the art of brewing. It's this story that connects customers to the brand on a deeper level.
At Rare Ideas, we specialize in creating these immersive experiences for F&B brands. From menu design that speaks to your brand’s soul to communication strategies that amplify your unique story, we help build brands that stand out in a crowded market.
So, how are you creating experiences that your customers will remember? Ready to elevate your F&B brand and create a lasting impact? Let’s build an experience that goes beyond the plate.
