Four months ago Rob n I had the privilege of taking a Vietnamese Class in Kansas City. We were both excited and anxious. I was very anxious: Would I be able to make it thru the entire course? What if I got sick? Or worse, what if i got sick in class? We were also concerned about the 3-hour drive from Wichita. How we would fund this? What about food, gas, etc? Orientation day we all meet, it's about 12 of us. The youngest three are 17 yrs old! The oldest is 60! Then there's the middle aged ones. Our Instructor is amazing. We knew this was gonna be a good class. Our accommodations were taken care of and Rob N I were thrilled to be staying with Uncle Gary. Then we were just 9. We all grew very close. From being completely confused in class, all of us lookin at each other like, "What?" to applying what we learned in the ministry and cheering each other on, "Lelelelele". We were joking n laughing all the time. Occasionally eating @ San's Sandwiches. I had few close calls: an anxiety attack before class with unstoppable crying, migraines etc. But thankfully I did not miss any classes!
