"We were at the same party?" Rebekah questioned, still playing dumb, as she was questioned about smelling like Shiloh. Of course she did - they were all over one another. And Shiloh smelled wonderful. As she was pushed aside, off her girlfriend's lap, she knew beyond a doubt that somehow Alex knew for sure. Asking was only a courtesy, and a test Bex failed.

"You think I picked her? Fucking hell, Alex, it wasn't like it was intentional!" Not at first. Maybe even not at second. And even then, though it wasn't an excuse, it was even less of one now. But how long? Almost half a year. Actually, she remembered it clearly, seeing as how it was soon after the first slip up, she told Alex she loved her. Okay, she had told Alex she loved her before, but also told her she wasn't sure what in love felt like. It only took a couple months of dating before she said she loved Alex. Also telling her she couldn't wait to fall in love with her. Love was hard for her, after all. She was traumatized.

Rebekah definitely couldn't give even close to an exact timeline. She didn't want Alex to be more hurt. To put together that Bex only said she was in love with Alex, days after she had fucked her best friend, hoping to resolve the guilt. "I haven't kept track!" She responded, instead. "It was supposed to be you, you know. All of it! Who else could it be? I couldn't even function when you smiled! Doesn't that fucking mean a thing? That's something that's still fucking true, at least.." There was no doubting Alex's smile was something else, even still.

Meredith had been woken by the shouting, and instantly jumped out of bed. She was elated! She hadn't seen Rebekah in almost four days, and hadn't heard from her, either. But she was alive! She ran out and hugged her, even though she knew she should wait. But she couldn't - if something happened to Bex and she had just gone back to sleep, instead, she'd hate herself.

"Read the fucking room, Runt!" Rebekah shouted at the girl, pushing her aside, angrily. Only two things caused her to be especially mean to Meredith - when she drank, and when she got herself in a mood. Otherwise, she actually showed how much she loved her.

Tears instantly stung the younger sister's eyes, as her big sister rejected her - again. "Almost half a year." She whispered under her breath, wiping her eyes and stepping away from Bex. She coudln't bring herself to make eye contact with Alex. Alex, who had always been so sweet to her. And she kept this to herself, all so she didn't upset their family dynamic. So Bex didn't hate her. So Fletch didn't worry more than she already did. "Sh-she.. they- at least.. f-five months.. I-I'm sorry." She apologized to Alex, before sneaking into Fletcher's room. As long as her sister wasn't home, she could crawl into her bed. Otherwise, she often put herself on the floor.

"Okay, sure, maybe that fucking long. I told you, I don't keep track." At least the truth was out there. Or, part of it. "You know the first time we hooked up, you were there?" She was getting mean now. "Kev's birthday bash? You were up for pong, and I got dizzy. Shy followed me so you could keep playing. I don't even fucking know who kissed who first. Mentioned I probably shouldn't be kissing my girlfriend's best friend. She definitely shouldn't be kissing her best friend's girl." Shrugging, Bex ran a hand through her hair, letting out a dry laugh.

"Apparently neither of us fucking cared. We fucked right there. Twice. I don't even know what the fuck happened after that, because it was supposed to be just that time. But it wasn't. And now.. fuck, Alex! Now it's like I'm cheating on her with you." Another laugh, though it was longer this time, like she could hardly believe it, herself. But she coudln't stop talking.

"And it's so fucked up! How could we hurt you by saying anything? I don't even fucking know if she realizes I wasn't joking! It's you that feels like the other woman, Alex. I wasn't supposed to fall in love with my girlfriend's best friend, but fucking hell, here we are, aren't we? I really thought you were what love was, but I'm wrong about a lot of things. I haven't even told her how I feel, because how do I do that? I'm probably just a good fuck to her, anyways. But how can you even be mad!? It's not like you weren't the other woman, either!"

If there was a local award for best actress then Alex would have been at the top of the list for who would win by tenfold, her best friend and her girlfriend also top contenders. It had been about a month since Mikey informed her about seeing the two of them at a party getting closer than two people who weren't dating, and shouldn't actually be, doing just that. A month since Alex waited patiently to see if either one of them would come clean. A month of willingly putting herself through pure torture with pretending that everything was okay. A month of connecting all the dots to the point where even she slowly started seeing the way the two of them would look at each other, the tiny little touches when they thought no one was looking, the desire, the yearning. It honestly made Alex feel sick to her stomach, and now she was finally at her tipping point.

All she could do for a moment was glare intensely until even that got too much and she had to quickly avert her gaze, eyes slamming shut while her head began to shake. "Who!?" Fell from her lips in an exasperated breath. This honestly felt like some twisted game Rebekah was playing, though it didn't stop Alex from allowing the woman she had fallen in love with to take up residence on her lap. She knew she should have pushed her away the minute she got close, but for the time being, she just couldn't. "You smell like her, you know." Even with the overbearing smell of alcohol and weed, Shiloh's scent still lingered. That thought alone was enough for her to finally come to her senses and she quickly moved her hands up to guide her girlfriend off her lap. Standing up almost immediately, she paced back and forth a couple of times.

"My best friend!" Eventually slipped into the open in a rather excruciatingly loud manner, Alex was quite positive that Fletcher and Meredith would have heard it, hell... even the neighbours. "You could have literally chosen anyone else to cheat on me with to maybe make this a little easier, but you just had to go and pick the ONE fucking person that makes this hurt the most," it was let out in a much quieter tone, but the feeling of utter betrayal couldn't be missed in the way she spoke.

Letting out a sigh, her lips then pressed together as a hand rose up to run through her hair, allowing an agonizing silence to surround them. "Fuck..." she whispered under her breath. Glancing back to Rebekah, her head shook once more. "I thought Shiloh wasn't your type," nothing but bitterness. Alex could remember their first interaction where Bex had been quite adamant about that very fact. What an absolute joke. "How long, Rebekah?" Using her girlfriend's full name was definitely foreign and it left an even bigger unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach. "How long have the two of you been fucking behind my back and betraying me so damn easily!?" Voice once again raising a little more than she would have liked.

I've seen questions about Andi's birthday that require an explanation.  Fans are wondering why some people celebrated her 15th birthday on Sept. 28 while others are saying she's 16.  Is she 15 or 16?

The 16th birthday idea derives from Andi's hospital bracelet shown in the very first episode, "13", that clearly shows she was born Sept. 28, 2003.  However, this birth year had to be changed to 2004, retconned due to the slow-moving timeline of the show that kept the teens in 7th grade for two seasons.

The first episode of Andi Mack premiered on March 10, 2017 on the Internet and April 7, 2017 on Disney Channel.  Andi is about to celebrate her 13th birthday when Bex returns home.   Andi and her friends had just advanced into 7th grade.  The hospital bracelet birth date verifies the episode took place in Sept. 2016, several months before the show premiered.

The show confirmed it was no longer set in the past when it jetted into the future in Season 2, Episode 2, “Chinese New Year,” which aired Nov. 3, 2017.  The episode celebrated the Chinese “Year of the Dog” which didn’t occur in our real world until Feb. 16, 2018.  

Now the slow timeline comes into play.  Cyrus celebrated his 13th birthday at his Bar Mitzvah shown in "Cyrus’ Bash-Mitzvah," airing on Feb. 23, 2018.  The teen characters remained in the 7th grade through the end of Season 2 (Episode 25, "The Cake That Takes the Cake") which aired on Aug. 13. 2018.

Jonah left for frisbee camp during the summer and returned to enter 8th grade with Andi and her friends in Aug. or Sept. 2018  This was shown in the Season 3 premiere episode "The Boys are Back" which aired Oct. 8, 2018.  Now the show's events almost match our real world timeline.

Although it was not seen on the show, Andi turned 14 on Sept. 28, 2018.  She was still 14 during the series finale, "We Were Here," which first aired on July 26, 2019.  The episode took place the previous winter, probably Dec. of 2018.

Based on this, Andi would have started at the arts high school, SAVA, at the beginning of the school year for Andi's 9th grade in late August or Sept. 2019.  She would have celebrated her 15th birthday on Sept. 28, 2019.  Her birth year of 2003 no longer worked and had been abandoned.

Of course, if the show were to return as a series or movie, this could all be undone with a time jump.  Depending on when/if the show returns, a one or two-year time jump would be required due to the aging of the teen actors.  Luke Mullen recently turned 18 and Joshua Rush turns 18 on Dec. 14,  2019.

Wait the show changed Chinese New Years from 2017 to 2018? The timeline is messy lmao

Yes, originally the show was supposed to take place a little bit in the future, so it premiered in our world in April 2016 but the story started in September 2016 but later on the show decided to retcon it so that the show started in September 2017 in an attempt to keep ahead of our real world time which ultimately failed. That’s why instead of having the Year of the Rooster in 2x02 which would have been the correct lunar new year for 2017 they changed it to the Year of the Dog which was the correct one for 2018. The timeline is not as messy as people like to claim it is and there is a rough timeline for the series contained in the context clues in the dialogue as you can see when I lay it out in production order. Obviously we get scenes in 2b that should be taking place in late Spring clearly being filmed in Winter but that’s the price the show paid for filming on location in Utah and we just have to suspend our disbelief for that. 

1x01- Takes place September 28th 2017 on Andi’s 13th birthday. People get too hung up on the hospital bracelet dates, just spring it forward a year like the show did from 2003 to 2004

2x02- Takes place on February 16th 2018 as that was the date the lunar new year of the dog fell on.  So Cyrus coming out to Buffy happens in early to mid February

2x15 -  Takes place around April 20th 2018. We know this because it’s the day after Cyrus’ Bash Mitzvah and Buffy reveals she’s moving in ten days but Andi tries to get her to stay with Celia since there’s two months left in the school year and in America the school year typically ends around June 20th. So working backward we can tell that the Marty left sometime in March, the muffin scene was early April, and the swings and invitation scene were mid April shortly before the Bash Mitzvah.

2x21- Takes place around May 1st 2018 as Buffy moves as her 10 days are up. Now it wasn’t really ten days, we can tell by the number of weekends that it would have been closer to three weeks but that’s on the writers. The timeline get’s much messier after this which unsurprisingly correlates with the writing getting worse.

2x26- Takes place around June 20th as it’s almost the end of the school year. Buffy was supposed to be gone for two months but in the only Disney editing decision I agree with, they cut that title card from 2x22 when Buffy returned. That wouldn’t have really made sense since that would put her return in July after school is out but it is what it is. Jonah has already left for Frisbee camp in 2x25 despite school still being in session which I think was an artifact of Jonah still being a year older at this point and in some schools different grades may get out a little earlier.

3x01- Takes place around August 20th as it’s been two months since Jonah went off to camp for summer and the American school year starts around August 20th. Things get messier after this since technically 3x02 would have had to take place on September 24th 2018 as that’s the date of the mid autumn festival but there’s no way to make that work because of the info we get in 3x04. In the show’s timeline 3x02 followed quite closely after 3x01 as Andi is unsure whether to officially end things with Jonah despite trying to do so at the end of 3x01. 

3x04- Takes place around mid September 2018 as TJ mentions that it’s the third week of school.

3x07- Takes place around mid September 2018 as Buffy mentions she just founded the Spikes that same week and Andi refers to Jonah running off in 3x04 after she jokes about him liking someone new as something that happened the other day. Again it’s impossible for 3x04-07 to actually take place within a week given the number of weekends that occurred but we just have to roll with it.

3x12- Takes place in late October 2018. Jonah says that he learned a couple of months ago that his parents had to file for bankruptcy and that they would lose their house. Since he was gone all summer and 3x02 took place shortly after he got back we’re looking at 3x12 taking place two months after he got back in late August. 

The timeline is actually pretty smooth from here on out. 3x13 takes place immediately after 3x12 and costume day seems to be stand in for Halloween which fits with the timeline. 3x14 takes place right the weekend following costume day as Andi is just then telling her friends about the wedding, which was just weeks away according to Buffy, being cancelled. 3x15 seems to be the next weekend after that and 3x16 picks up the next weekend as the kids start their community service and then the rest of 3x16 and 3x17 take place in the same week or so of time. 

The cut 318 was almost certainly the next weekend after 3x17 ended as we know the Jamber breakup scene and Muffy friendzoning scene in 3x17 were re-shoots to replace scenes lost in 318. 3x19 must take place the school week after 318 as Buffy’s friends just then find out about her boot which Buffy didn’t have in 3x17. Buffy’s injury also makes for a nice way to track the timeline as we can see her foot get progressively worse over the weeks. 

3x19 must be late November as Andi says her SAVA application is due at the end of the month. 3x20 takes place shortly afterwards as Jonah mentions his family moving into an apartment in 3x19. And 3x21 must take place shortly after 3x20 as Bex and Bowie have their first dance as a married couple which puts the finale in early December 2018. Those pre finale texts make no sense as even stretching the time line ridiculously does not get 3x21 anywhere near the end of the school year and they deliberately put snow on the ground on the backyard set because it’s meant to take place in winter. 

So we have a rough time line for the show of September 28th 2017- early December 2018 from pilot to series finale. It’s not perfect and you can add or subtract a few weeks here or there but it works fairly well and follows what the writers told us in the dialogue.
