Thank you so much!! I’m mostly doing the dragons on Procreate and using Shale Brush from the default calligraphy library.

I also draw in Photoshop a lot and like using Kyle’s Inkbox - Classic Cartoonist and Kyle’s Drawing Box - Happy HB (btw u can download Photoshop brushes to Procreate and vice versa!)

I tried to keep my personal opinion out of the post so as to not skew the data. That said, the tags are doing what tags should do and opening discussion, and ignoring their points would be a waste! Hope you guys don't mind me reblogging:

first of all @mossmittens and @bi-hop you're right, we're gonna have to do this based on vibes until extra content gives any indication of the answer, lol. I agree that the "dead dad" is the easiest hurt to be open about, and most likely to be brought up in conversations. In fact, Falin tells her a lot about Laios, so family has been brought up at some point. What's left to know was if Marcille deflected or not. On the other hand, "half-elf" is something I don't think she'd get into unless other elves were around for comparison (which they pointedly did not have in the academy)

@optimismbias which leads me to the opinion I'm more partial about... while I think farcille has a genuine friendship, for the most part their relationship has been Marcille as a "mentor" of sorts + Falin /not/ pushing. Marcille does respect the mage Falin later becomes in the dungeon, of course. btw kinda unrelated but it's funny how the initial stage of Marcille joining the party inverts the ostracized girl/"popular" girl (and even after she starts getting along with the party, outsiders like Kabru think she's a "mystery girl" while Falin has been around enough that they know she's a magic school graduate)

@bitternanami I swear there's SO much potential in Marcille's goal of denying death for literal thousand years out of loneliness VS Falin, someone who appreciates the ecosystem and talks to ghosts. I think a part of Falin, the part that saw her brother be killed by living armor, can sympathize with the sentiment; but I have to wonder how /wrong/ that would still feel. And it took so much for Marcille to be vulnerable like that with the main party, so if she did talk about any of that (her goal, being half-elf, dead dad) with Falin, how long it must've taken.

I'll concede that her goal was more grounded before arriving to the island and talking with the winged lion pushed her the most into fantasy land. And to some extent Falin knows what Marcille was researching. So to clarify, when I put the option of ultimate dream, I mean THE dream she told her party in the tree house
