📢 “The Most Educated” — But the Children Are Still Falling Behind?
They say the Black woman is the most educated group in America… Yet our children are consistently ranking the lowest in literacy, math, and overall academic performance.
Let’s ask the hard questions:
🧠 What good is a degree if it doesn’t pour back into the community? 📚 How can we fix generational cycles if we’re not teaching our children how to read, think critically, and know themselves? 💼 Are we being trained to serve systems — or to liberate our bloodlines?
Many of our mothers are doing everything — working, studying, surviving — but they’re exhausted, unsupported, and often alone. And our kids are paying the price.
This isn’t shade. This is a wake-up call.
We need to return to ancestral education — where learning wasn’t just books, but character, spirit, wisdom, and survival. We need villages, not degrees. We need mothers who are well, present, and spiritually equipped.
The system may reward us with papers, but our babies need our presence, principles, and power.

"JUSTICE IS NOT A GAME" tee
2 Store Reviews
from $40.23
The King, takes a stand with and for the people, basketball serves(ed) as a route to financial freedom for many black men. However these same black men understand their roles are bigger than dribbling and while they’ll always do it for the love of the game, they know justice is not a game!

On May 4, 1959, Ella Fitzgerald made history becoming the first Black woman to win a Grammy Award.
Known as the “First Lady of Song,” her voice broke barriers and opened doors in an industry that often tried to silence Black talent.
Ella didn’t just sing she made space for generations to rise.
Let’s celebrate her legacy, not just with music, but with recognition.

Black History Month Day 1
Alright, alright, my brothers and sisters, gather 'round and let's talk about some **TRUTH** for this first day of Black History Month! You see, education, that's the cornerstone, the very **foundation** of liberation. And for too long, the narratives, the powerful voices of Black women in education have been pushed to the margins, rendered invisible. We gotta rectify that! We gotta sing their praises from the rooftops, yes we do! So let's begin with these five phenomenal, **prophetic** Black women educators, whose legacies are etched in the struggle for justice and equality: * **Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune:** A titan! Founded Bethune-Cookman College. A powerhouse, advising presidents, and fighting for Black folks' rights with a righteous fire! This sister knew education was the key to unlocking the chains of oppression. * **Dr. Anna Julia Cooper:** A **VISIONARY**! Earned her Ph.D. in 1925! Wrote "A Voice from the South," a groundbreaking work of Black feminist thought. This sister understood that Black women's voices needed to be amplified in the academy and beyond! * **Fanny Jackson Coppin:** Principal of the Institute for Colored Youth. A **TRAILBLAZER**! Believed in industrial training and academic excellence for Black youth. This sister was laying the groundwork for economic empowerment through education, long before it was fashionable! * **Lucy Diggs Slowe:** First Dean of Women at Howard University. A **PIONEER**! Founded the National Association of College Women. This sister knew that Black women needed mentorship and support to thrive in higher education! * **Dr. Inez Beverly Prosser:** First African-American woman to receive a Ph.D. in Psychology. Her research challenged racist ideologies surrounding intelligence and highlighted the vital importance of culturally responsive education. A true **INTELLECTUAL FORCE** that paved the way for generations to come. These sisters, they were **more** than just teachers. They were **architects** of a new world, a world where Black children could dream, could achieve, could become the best versions of themselves. We owe them a debt we can never repay, but we **MUST** honor their legacy by continuing the fight for educational equity and justice. Let us never forget their names, their struggles, their triumphs. They are the **soul** of Black History Month! Let's keep the conversation going! Let's learn from the past to build a brighter future! Amen! #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackEducators #BlackWomenInHistory #EducationIsLiberation #UpliftBlackVoices #RememberTheirNames #yourDEES #DEEmploymentSolutions

I am going to write a story of the past 20 years, and people will swear it is science fiction.
In it, I will describe love, loss and a return to life on my terms. People will say it’s not true.
I will speak of my ability to change shape based on my environment. People will say that Shapeshifters don’t exist.
I will chant and sing of my warrior spirit, as well as that of my nurturing side. People will say that warriors don’t wear glasses, and that they certainly don’t have bad knees.
Nevertheless, I will write it, and it will all be true.
Those of you who exist with me here, in the now, will know the words before they open the book. For that, I am grateful.
You watched the broken lover rebuild herself.
Saw the shifting into so many shapes.
Heard the song I sung and told all who would interfere “don’t fuck with that girl; she’s not one of them.“
Again, grateful.
Come be a part of why I continue to love, serve, and change. Thank you.
