sometimes when i wanna hurt myself i think about how simon would force himself to love you because he sees the way you love him. it’s not born from a malicious place, not when simon thinks he is doing this for you – and isn’t this more damning?

he is a perceptive man and your secret admiration would not remain hidden from him. and he sees the way you adore him, the way you revere him. the way you go out of your way to make him feel like a man bigger than he knows he is; the way you make him feel like he isn’t so hopeless. like he isn’t so lost.

so he begins mirroring your affections, cataloguing the way you do things and reflecting them back to you. and simon is always good at what he does – being this loving man, magicked by his skillset, is just another act.

so simon loves you in the way he can see you want to be.
