A huge THANK YOU to @aelwen-art for this gorgeous commission of my newest boys, Thorfinn and Solvi. This scene takes place in chapter 10 of Blink.
Together, they swam until the sun rose high in the sky, and their stomachs complained about wanting a midday meal. Sitting by the water’s edge, they ate and continued to talk until a natural lull fell over them. Thorfinn began to untangle his damp hair with his fingers. It was longer now, reaching his shoulders, and would need a trim soon.
“Here,” Solvi said when Finn’s fingers caught a particularly knotted spot. He reached into his bag and pulled out a comb. Thorfinn went for it, but Solvi held back. “I’ll braid it for you if you wish.”
“All right,” Thorfinn agreed, and he sat in front of the other man when Solvi moved to sit on a rock overlooking the pool. He felt that tingle across his spine again as Solvi teased the knots away and pulled his hair into sections. His hands were cold from the water, but it was pleasant against the day’s heat. While the elf pulled his hair tightly into the plaits, it did not hurt. If anything, the small tugs turned something in his belly.

Day 12: Discovery writing. I give you a prompt, and you write at least three paragraphs of a character reacting to it. Let's see who you discover.
Unfortunately, things never go according to plan around here.
As the door slammed shut, Ian felt pinpricks of uncertainty dance across his spine. Regardless, he held onto their captive tightly when the human struggled. His fingers dug into the man's arms as he and Lora forced him to his knees on the stone. Some of the fight was gone from him now, and the man wheezed for breath around his argument.
Leif wasn't having it. He backhanded the man across his face. "Pets should not stray from their masters," he said as he bent to yank the ring from the man's nose, simply to cause pain. The dying fire cast a long shadow across Leif's face, painting him in darkness as he spoke of the reasons a human could never be trusted.
Swallowing his trepidation, Ian couldn't help that his grip loosened. This wasn't what they planned on. Leif said they were just going to menace the human a little- not this. Glancing at the others, he found Lora sneering at the human but Tam met his eye and looked just as horrified as Leif picked up the fire poker.
"Hold him down."

This snippet is from an alternate point of view for a scene midway through Blink. It was fun to find out who Ian is and see his spiral beginning. This is 100% not Ian's plan!

Day 35: How do you describe sounds?
This one may be easier to show you.
Somehow, the elf didn’t appear phased in the slightest. It held its arms out almost as if to say, I tried. That’s when Thorfinn heard it. He shouldn’t have been able to, not really. Maybe it was all those days in the meadows, listening for cracking twigs over the bleat of sheep and groans of cows. Though as he turned, it wasn’t a wolf he faced but a man.
“We’re under attack!” Someone down the line shouted before Thorfinn could call out in alarm. The loud boom of rocks falling preceded screams, and arrows whistled as the trees parted and elves began to appear every ten lengths.
Before he could pull his sword, Thorfinn staggered.
