do you think we're gonna get any kind of interaction between louis and armand next season? how do you think they're gonna frame it?

I'm certainly gonna believe we are every step of the way, that's for sure. There's like, not a lot to go off of in the book because Louis doesn't show up until the last chapter yk? TVL itself is entirely backstory, the rockstar thing is kinda just a half formed set up for QOTD. And so the series is fleshing out the present day stuff a lot more than Anne Rice did. It's still too soon to tell what is going to be flashback, or how hard they are committing to Lestat spilling all his secrets via visual album- think Dirty Computer or Lemonade, which will define how much time we have to simmer on what is happening outside of the interview.

I will say, I can't imagine they'll truly be in the same room together much. I think Armand's whereabouts in the modern day is going to be a point of intrigue, going off his absence in all the Talamasca promo. In my dreams Louis reflects on their relationship, mostly bitterly- sometimes painfully tenderly. Armand would be attempt nonchalance if talking about it but clearly still upset about it. And they would have a late season interaction before shit hits the fan at the concert that's like their breakup in the book with the hurling of insults, but its just the bitter exes of it all.

I think I just want them to go into QoTD having broken the silence barrier but not..."made-up" in whatever way that could look. That's where we'd really get into the forced proximity.

I will never make this because it would be for an audience of one (me) but ever since reading "If we Were Villains" (story about serious drama kids in college who perform shakespeare and deal with a murder) I have been entertaining the thought of a crack fic crossover with High School Musical The Musical The Series where the staff decides they will no longer put on shakespeare after the tragic accident that happened at Thanksgiving, because Shakespeare plays would only increase the tension and drama. So they hire Ms. Jen who decides their spring play will actually be High School Musical (which exists in the 90s in this universe) and it ruins the vibe so much that everyone gives up on being dark and mysterious because they're universally pissed at Ms Jen for making them learn choreoraphed basketball dancing.
