I'll be 40 this year

Almost 20 years ago when my wife and I first moved in together when we were first starting out. She wanted a bread maker.

My usual reply was "I'm your bread maker! I love baking if you ever want bread, let me know. I'll make your bread."

And I did I made many a loaf. But throughout our 20 year relationship so far she's still asked many times for a bread maker.

Now, she hasn't said like "please sir can I have a bread maker" she's just kind of said we should get a bread maker and I've always replied with. "I'll make you bread. We don't need to waste money on a machine."

It was maybe two months ago the last time she mentioned it and recently I got an Amazon ad on Instagram for bread machine, and it was fairly good quality and on sale.

I purchased it. I was a fool for 20 years. I could've just… Wasted time wasted youth.
