another snipbit from my fic [dcxdp]
“Dan thinks I should see Frostbite, which is… ugh.”
“Whose Frostbite?” Bruce asked.
Danny didn’t seem like he wanted to answer but did anyway. “He’s the chief of one of the yeti villages in the Far South. Great guy, super chill.”
“A what?” Clark blurted from the other end of the room where he still stood, “Sorry.” He added immediately, “Continue.”
“I’m pretty sure your pretending to not listen is worse than if you were just a part of the conversation.” Danny said teasingly. “But, yeah, a yeti.”
“And why did Dan say you should see him?” Dick asked again.
“Who knows why he does anything?” Danny grumbled. Danny doesn’t make it obvious, but after many years of dealing with tight-lipped younger brothers, Dick knew there was a clear answer that Danny didn’t want to say.
There was a stretch of silence that Clark ended by asking in a low conspiratory whisper, “Is he your ex?”
“What?” Danny exclaimed, affronted, “No!” He gaped at the apparently insidious question.
“Sorry, are you guys still together?”
“No.” Danny said, disgusted, “No.”
“Then—” Clark tried again.
“He’s my doctor.” Danny finally admitted it, like it was a war crime he’d spent a lifetime hiding. He seemed to realize belatedly that he’d cracked under the pressure and grumbled curses to himself.
“You have a yeti doctor?” Dick asked.
With a deep sigh, Danny deflated onto his knees. “Yeah,” he admitted, dejected.
“We should go visit him now.” Bruce decided with a finality.
Incredulous, “Now?” Danny questioned.
“Do you need to make an appointment?” He considered.
Danny’s eyes widened with realization as if the idea was only then occurring to him. “Yeah.” He nodded.
“Bullshit.” Dick called immediately.
“Well, he’s a really busy guy. You can’t just drop by. Plus we have to, y’know, pay him.”
“Money isn’t an issue.” Bruce crossed his arms.
Danny rolled his eyes. “You can’t pay a yeti with money.” He said it as if it were the most obvious thing.
“Then what do you have to pay them with?” Clark asked.
“Space ice.” Danny decided.
Both men nodded, as if it made complete sense. “He’s obviously lying.” Dick explained.
Bruce looked at Dick as if he’d grown a second head, then turned to Danny. “Are you lying?” He asked.
“No.” Danny shook his head, with wide innocent eyes.
Dick turned to Clark, hoping at least he could back him up. “He has a really weird heartbeat.” Was all the man could offer, not as apologetic as he should be.
Danny turned to Dick, with his wide blue-gray puppy eyes, “Do you really think I would be so irresponsible and lie about my own health?” He asked, his voice a whisper.
Dick could only gape at the manipulative teenager that sat in between the three of them. Bruce looked at Dick sharply, seemingly completely oblivious to yet another one of his lying cohort of children lying to him. “Fine, we’ll get you that stupid space ice.” Dick conceded with a huff, only because of the guilt those eyes pricked in his stomach.
“Besides, even if we didn’t need the space ice—which we totally do—I don’t have enough energy to teleport to the Ghost Zone right now.”
“You can teleport?” Clark asked, surprised. Dick and Bruce already knew about this.
“To places I’ve been before.” Danny nodded.
“What’s the Ghost Zone?”
“It’s a region in the Realms that’s the easiest to access from Earth. And also where most of the ghosts live.”
“If it’s a specific location, then we could reconfigure the Zeta Tubes to take us there.” Bruce considered.
“Wow, that sounds really convenient.” Danny nodded, wishfully. “I’d probably go to the Zone all the time if I had one of those.”
Bruce nodded. “I’ll see what I can do.”
“It might take me a while to get the space ice.” Clark said, “They melt if I fly too fast. And Jon has a school thing tomorrow, and I was going to try and take Kara into the city the day after. We’ve been working on her being-human skills. But I’ll try to get it as soon as I can.” He promised Bruce.
“No rush.” Danny assured.

We've all heard of the classic playboy/girl ×nerd where the playboy eventually falls in love with the nerd and they live happily ever after, the end.
But how about
The Nerd dates the playboy out of pity thinking "this poor boy! He is such a love sick fool. " and when playboy cheats and or breaks up with the nerd. Instead of the reaction the playboy was expecting... The nerd celebrates because hello? longer having to put up with him that freaking a reason to celebrate. The nerd throws a party and the playboy is dumbfounded .

Sleepy King
The Justice League Dark caught wind of a cult trying to summon the Ghost King. A being with power so terrible and great, that all of the chaotic Infinite Realms feared him. A true tyrant. Long ago it took the effort of ghosts equal to gods to seal him away into a permeant slumber.
And now this cult wishes to wake him and bring him to the living realm. It was a race against the clock to find the ritual site and all members were called on board, magic or not. Even Constantine looked stressed.
They did find the site.
But it was too late, the ritual was completed. The entire inner circle of runes glowed before being swallowed in a column of green light. The air filled with static and a ringing that made Supergirl crumble to the ground.
The light dissipated, but there was no great figure or being of pure evil. Instead there was a boy, a teenager. He laid on the ground curled up in his sleep. He was a ghost no doubt, dressed in regal clothing.
Despite this when he stirred, everyone froze. It seemed the cold hard ground woke him up. He got up slowly and yawned, revealing his sharp fangs. Once sat up he opened his bleary eyes to look around. He looked confused and tired, really tired.
"Where am I?" He mumbled. "I was trying to get some sleep." Constantine internally screaming, latches onto that last sentence. He glances over to Batman. He caught that last part too. Batman approaches calmly and crouches down in front of the boy king. Hardening his resolve, Batman takes on a gentle tone.
"Hey kiddo, sorry we woke you. Lets get you back to bed yeah?" The boy nodded in agreement. He pulled himself to his feet before looking around in a circle. "Where did my blanket go?" He asked rather sadly. Batman is quick to shed his own cape and drape it over him. "You can borrow my cape until we get you a new one." He nodded again, pulling the black fabric around himself.
John quickly summoned a portal door, while Batman led the King through it. John threw looks around at everyone. Everyone could tell he was mouthing the words. 'Find me a fucking blanket now'
Running on the logic of getting the king away from Earth, away from graves and the undead, that could give him power. The portal led to the Watch Tower.
Batman took advantage of the King's bleary state to send a base wide alert for all noncritical members to evacuate immediately. With a priority that death adjacent members leave first. "The stars are pretty." Bruce looked at the boy staring out the window in wonder. He almost looked like a normal kid, almost.
"Yeah they are, it's pretty late so we should get you back to bed." He nodded, going along with Batman's gentle coaxing.
He takes the boy to an unused bedroom. Making sure the room isn't dusty and that lights are dimmed. He glances back to see about a dozen different leaguers all holding blankets, one thought to bring extra pillows. The bed was pretty barren with only a single pillow and a thin bedsheet. So Bruce took a thick duvet, one of the fluffier blankets and a second pillow from his team before shooing them away.
The boy ended up keeping his cape, mumbling how it was warm. He tucked the boy in, before quietly exiting the room and turning off the light. He was pretty sure the King fell back to sleep before he even reached the light switch.
After the door shut, he made direct eye contact with John. "Constantine." They needed to figure out what the hell was going on.

Danny and Damian are related, with a twist.
Danny is the son of Talia Al Ghul, however he is NOT the son of Bruce Wayne. Ra’s has had his eyes on various people across the world that have either impressed him or show a unique skill set that he’d like to have. One such person was under the both categories and he got Talia to collect a DNA sample and as a result Danny was born.
This was before Bruce’s time with the League by a few years, but very quickly Danny was not meeting expectations. And by the time Bruce did show up Ra’s had lost all interest in Danny, moving on to better things.
Talia always hated Danny because she was forced to have him with a man who she never liked in the first place. Furthermore, because his skillset was lacking she found that even more reason for her distain. In her eyes, he wasn’t worth even considering her blood.
Danny, knowing that he was doomed if he didn’t make an escape, left the league sometime around when Bruce was moving up the ranks and was making waves within the organization. Perfect timing honestly, any attention he might have had was quickly gone when this prodigy showed up.
Danny escaped the League and went into hiding quickly after, settling on a rural area of the United States after bouncing around countries for a few months. This was mainly because Jasmine Fenton saw a young boy pick pocketing strangers while her family was visiting Chicago and scolded him. Her mother and father saw the boy and also lectured him to which Danny responded it was his only option (he was trying to get this loud family off his back so he could sneak away). Eventually the Fentons decide that if he has nowhere to go he might as well go with us, and Danny decides blending in with a Nuclear Family is the best way to ensure that his peaceful life away from the League stays that way. Oh how little did he know.
Flash forward a few years, Talia, who was visiting Gotham to check on Damian, sees a glimpse of a boy (now man) she thought she had forgotten. Her blood runs cold, if this abomination is in Gotham then her son is likely in danger and she would never let anything happen to Damian.

John Constantine: Hey, Batman, you have kids, right?
Bruce: I do.
John: Great. How do you keep them alive? Mine keeps trying to pick fights he can barely win.
Bruce: You're a father?
John: Just adopted a homeless half-ghost boy named Danny. He's a bit of a menace, but I love him as my own. Want to see a photo?
Bruce: Sure.
John: There's my boy, and here he is in his ghost form. He calls himself Phantom when he's glowing like this, a little on the nose, but he's only fourteen.
Bruce:.....Can I buy you a drink?
John: I would usually say yes, but Danny's astronomy club is almost over and he needs me to pick him up
Bruce: How about you both come over for dinner then? My kids would love to have a new challenger for their video game night. My butler is also making Yorkshire pudding-
John: We will be there, Handsome, if only for a fellow Brit's cooking and pick your brain for parenting tips.
Bruce Mentally: I'm going to become Danny's step-father, yes I am.

Venting
The GIW had gotten on his last nerve. Danny wasn’t at all worried about them actually managing to catch a ghost they were just that bad. But when their pure incompetence managed to mildly injure 12 people and seriously injure another 5, with one in the ICU and no confirmation on them ever coming out of the coma, Danny felt his patience fraying.
After getting the cryptic okay from Clockwork, he enacted his plan to get rid of the jerks. Death by debt. As in, their funding wouldn’t be enough to keep them afloat and they would be disbanded. He started by getting Tucker to locate all their bases, and had Sam work on creating a sedative (using plant products, because she would kill him if he used chemicals).
Once the bases were located and gas canisters were prepared, he was off. All the agents were knocked out, removed from the building, and all weapons taken. After that was Tucker getting into their systems and taking all the data, then wiping it. Then was setting all paperwork on fire and destruction of the building completely.
Watching it crumble gave him so much satisfaction. He stuck around invisible to watch the agents wake up and have a meltdown about their clothing before even noticing the destroyed building. He only barely made it away before nearly dying of laughter.
Luckily this all happened during the summer, his parents had decided to go on a convention road trip, so he was free to leave the state and destroy more bases. He ended up in Gotham and was shocked the Agents had managed to even step foot in the place. It felt like the air itself would stain their white suits.
Shaking off the feeling and sending out a ‘I’m a guest here to remove some pests’ to Lady Gotham, Danny moved towards the base in what was a well oiled system by now. He had managed to knock all the agents out and was moving them outside when he heard a cough behind him. Turning he saw one of the Bats, Red Robin.
“What exactly are you doing?” RR asked with mild curiosity.
Danny glanced down at the agents then back up to RR. “Teenage venting through destruction of government property?”
They stared at each other silently for a minute before RR broke out in a grin. “Can I help?”
Danny smirked. “Sure! You go inside and bring the rest of them out. I’ll search them for weapons and stuff.”
RR was about to walk away to do as asked when he saw Danny taking off the shoes. “Are the shoes weapons too?”
Danny snickered. “Nah. They have this thing about getting their white suits dirty and it fills me with glee to make their white socks dirty too.”
Danny swore he could hear someone howling in laughter through RR’s coms.

Danny has been having issues trying to find a job that allows him to use his powers. He’s no longer in the superhero scene anymore but why not still put his powers to use?
After successfully gaining a job as a Stuntman, he didn’t know what he signed himself up to do but he took multiple classes to prepare and fell in love with the profession. His powers letting him further excel in his career as things like flight, intangibility, and duplication all were things that studio heads were delighted of as it lessened the cost of production.
Stuntman don’t get a lot of recognition by average film goers which is fine for Danny. Staying under the radar and living a normal life is all he could ever ask for.
Sadly for Danny, that anonymity didn’t last forever. Danny was hired as a stunt performer in a 90s satire esque autobiography movie written and starring the Gotham Billionaire Bruce Wayne.
During an on set interview midway though Bruce explaining to the interviewer that Hot Shots was his biggest inspiration for this film, Danny casually walked behind the set, just trying to get to the costume department and thinking nothing of being temporarily on camera behind the Billionaire.
The day the interview was uploaded onto YouTube, Danny’s phone was blowing up from messages from his friends and family telling him he had become an internet sensation overnight. It turns out his casual walk behind Bruce Wayne led to the internet losing their minds trying to find the Bruce Wayne look-alike. I mean, Danny DID become Bruce’s primary stunt double because he looked so similar, that’s the whole point of stunt doubles, but Danny didn’t think it was THAT similar.

All Seeing
DpxDc
Bruce Wayne had been many things in his life: billionaire, businessman, vigilante, father. But a long-lost uncle? That was a new one.
The SOS from a small town in Illinois had sent him racing against time, but he had been too late. An accident had taken the lives of an unknown distant cousin and their entire family—except for one. The sole survivor was a boy named Danny, left blind from the incident. When Bruce had arrived, he saw no other option but to take him in, to give him the support he needed.
Months passed, and Danny quickly found a place within the Wayne family. He was kind, gentle, and an overall bright presence in the manor. But grief had its way of clinging to people, and Danny was no exception. He had his sad days, times when he retreated into himself and let silence be his shield. Even so, the Batfamily took to him, each in their own way.
There was just one thing about him that none of them could ignore: he gives out cryptic warnings.
It had started small. He would mention the weather, and it would turn exactly as he said. He would casually hand someone an item—a band aid, an extra set of gloves, a lucky charm—and say, "Be careful." And without fail, later that day, they would end up needing it. It might have been coincidences at first, but the pattern grew undeniable.
Danny could see the future. Or, at least, something close to it.
The family, skeptics that they were, had tried to prove otherwise. They set up small tests, all of which Danny passed without even realizing he was being tested. Eventually, they stopped trying to disprove it and started trying to understand it instead. Bruce, being Bruce, documented everything. Tim, ever the investigator, compiled data. Damian remained skeptical but watched his cousin with a hawk’s eye.
Then Danny was kidnapped.
It had been a random act—a desperate group of criminals seeking to ransom Bruce Wayne’s newest ward. They had no idea what they had walked into. The moment Danny went missing, the Batfamily mobilized. It was Red Robin who found him first.
Tim had worked swiftly, dismantling the criminals with precision, tying them up before they even had a chance to process what was happening. He had moved quietly, intent on assessing Danny’s condition before alerting the others. But before he could even speak, Danny, bound and blindfolded, tilted his head slightly and murmured, "...Tim?"
Tim froze.
It wasn’t a confident statement; it was uncertain, questioning. But Danny, who should have had no way of knowing, knows.

Impossible Task? Not when you hire a ghost!
Bruce and Damian have a deal that if Damian can keep an animal hidden from everyone in manor—meaning he can't ask anyone else in the family to help him—for 1 month he'll be allowed to keep it. There are a bunch of other rules and amendments that apply, but by the end a contract is signed by the two of them.
Damian starts to pretty quickly regret agreeing to the deal when it becomes clear that he won't be getting anything past Alfred. It also doesn't help that the rest of his siblings have made it a game to see who can catch him the most. Because of this no animal has ever lasted more than a week.
This leads to Damian planning the ultimate animal hide-a-way plan for the next time he comes across an animal he must have. The problem is that no plans he comes up with works; until now!
It happened completely at random, he had been walking down the street when he noticed a boy around his age laying down in the alley, his arm outstretched under a dumpster. The boy clearly doesn’t notice Damian’s approach because when he starts to question what the other is doing he simply vanishes from view for a second before reappearing.
The boy just as quickly is pulling his arm out from under the dumpster and in his hand is now a small, fluffy gray kitten. Damian knows the little kitten would be the perfect friend for Alfred the cat.
After a bit of discussion Damian learns that the boy’s name is Danny, and is currently living alone in a run down building in Crime Alley.
Now Bruce said that he wasn’t allowed help from anyone in the family. Danny is NOT family and can turn himself and an object he’s holding invisible. Damian hires Danny to live in the manor for 1 month and to make sure no one sees either Danny and the kitten.
He’d normally be more invested in finding out more about this unknown meta, but he has a kitten to take care of now.

He’s not gay enough for superhell
Dc x dp dead on main:
Danny moves to Gotham for college and falls head over heels for the ecto contaminated beef cake in his English lit class.
He’s constantly tripping over himself anytime he’s around and wants nothing more than to grab his attention.
Now thanks to all Mr. Lancers hard work, Danny’s actually pretty good at English, but thanks to a certain walking distraction he starts to fall behind.
The first time he gets a D on a test he nearly sobs. Thankfully he has a merciful teacher that decided to help him out, so they asked Jason if he could tutor Danny so he could bring up his grades.
Unfortunately that doesn’t stop Danny from being an absolute mess, and an absolutely terrible flirt.
While discussing Jane Austin, Danny decides to just bite the bullet.
“So what would it take for someone to win your heart?” He asked with a dopey grin.
Jason snorted, “The Joker’s corpse.” He said, half paying attention before continuing on with the lesson.
Danny blinked, “uhhh, which one?”
Jason paused, “what do mean which one? There’s only one joker.” He looked at Danny like he was stupid.
Danny just shrugged, “well, yeah, now there is. But, like which corpse did you want? The first, 2nd, or 3rd joker?” He asked, giving Jason a dopey grin. “I can definitely get you the 2nd jokers corpse, the third is still active so he’d require some extra effort, but I may have a problem with the first Joker.”
Jason narrowed his eyes, “and why’s that?”
Danny shrugged, “oh Batman killed him years ago,” he paused, “well technically he didn’t land the final blow. He did however cause the concussion that caused him to stumble off a cliff, but he would have died from the internal bleeding anyway.” Danny explained, not understanding why Jason was so shocked but not at all mad about the attention.
“I’m pretty sure most of his body’s been eaten by the local wildlife at this point, but I can try to find his skull if you want?” Danny said, batting his eyelashes.
Jason just stared at him in shock. “How-how could you possibly know that!?!?”
Danny smiled, “oh, I have some friends that are constantly in and out of walker’s prison in the ghost zone. Apparently the guy won’t shut up about Batman and bragging about killing a Robin.” Danny frowned, “stupid move really, living or dead, people are rarely chill about child killers. Walkers had to put him in solitary just about every week.”
Jason huffed, “you expect me to believe Batman killed the Joker after he killed m-Robin and now he’s in ghost jail?”
“Well where did you think he would end up?” He rolled his eyes “He’s not gay enough for superhell.”
Jason just blinked. “Was that a Supernatural reference?” He smirked, making Danny blush.
“Uhh. Maybe?”
Jason smiled, “alright, prove to me that joker is dead and not only will I go on a date with you, I’ll introduce you to my family as my boyfriend.”
Danny turned bright red and beamed “Deal!”
An hour later Jason walked out of the weirdest prison he had ever seen with his new boyfriend and a new lease on life.
When Jason brought Danny home for dinner that night, they ended up eating without Bruce, as he was still frozen in shock by the front door after his son came in, introduced him to his new boyfriend as his dad and gave him a hug!
A real hug! A hug that lasted a full 30 seconds!
Danny wasn’t sure what was going on but he had a hot new boyfriend who was familiar with the ghost zone! He couldn’t wait to introduce him to clockwork!

excerpt from my fic (bio wayne danny)
“Sorry, am I interrupting?” Dick asked teasingly, slipping in next to Bruce.
“I was just telling Danny how having a space station as a base of operation is a tactical call.” Bruce said, pointedly.
“As if. It wasn’t a good idea when the JL was just the main seven, but after their expansion project, it’s a liability if not a straight out disadvantage.” Danny scoffed, rolling his eyes.
“How is it a liability?” Dick asked intrigued.
“Whenever there’s a huge invasion or something, where do you think the evil aliens are going to attack first? The huge space satellite with at least a handful of heroes on it at all times, with state-of-the-art weapons and tech, full of information about literally everything worth having information on probably has no external defenses because no one would think to sneak into a space station, seems like a pretty good start.” Danny explained, Dick watched Bruce appraise his information. “I bet I could get in if I figured out how to get to space.”
Bruce raised an amused brow at him, “You think you could break into the Watchtower?”
“Easy.” Danny proclaimed, sporting a wicked grin.
Before Dick could say anything, someone came up to their table. “Danny!” The boy, Dick recognized as Tucker, said with an exaggerated fake surprise, “What a surprise seeing you here. At the Nasty Burger. Around 6 o’clock. Today.”
“Tucker? Why- What are you doing here?” Danny asked surprised.
“I was just passing by,” Tucker said, shrugging dramatically. Danny gave him an accusing and disbelieving look. “My, my who are these people here with you, Danny?” Tucker asked, sliding into the seat next to Danny.
“Tucker, you know who they are,” Danny said exasperated.
But it seemed like they had more guests. “Danny! Wow, I wasn’t expecting you here. Small world, huh?” Sam (?) walked over preppi-ly which didn’t match her grunge aesthetic. Her hands hooked with Val’s as they walked together.
“Small world,” Val repeated with a fake smile. The two of them sat down next to Danny and Tucker.
Danny put his head in his hands, “I should’ve known.”
“You should’ve.” Sam nodded.
“But you didn’t.” Val chastised jokingly.
Next another boy comes dashing into the restaurant wearing a basketball jersey.
“You’re late,” Val says, admonishingly. Tucker and Sam shake their heads, and Danny sighs in exasperation.
“I literally ran here.” Wes said in between huffs of air, slumping in next to Val.
The group of teens who had been teasing each other, in a very strange synchronous action, turn their heads to look at Bruce and Dick. Dick was really regretting watching Anabell last night.
“I think we’ll need more food,” Bruce comments lightly.
---
“So, dick.” Sam started, munching on a fry. “Tell us about yourself.”
“Like what?” Dick asked
Valerie (“Do not call me Val.”) answered, “What do you do?”
“I’m a cop in Bludhaven.” Dick was met with four pairs of dubious eyes. Danny sent him a small-lipped look of disappointment, he wasn’t sure whether it was for him or at him. Maybe Dick should look into getting a new day job.
“Write that down.” Sam gestured to Tucker.
“Already on it,” Tucker reported, scribbling something with a stylus.
“You guys are taking this very seriously,” Bruce commented, smiling.
“It is serious.” Tucker responded.
“What if you guys are in some child trafficking ring?” Wes commented,
“Why would they be-” Danny started, before Wes turned to him and very seriously said,
“That’s exactly the question, Danny. Why would they?” Wes thoughtfully turned to look at Bruce warily.
“Y’know let’s just dive into the important questions shall we?” Sam asked her preppy attitude from before gone, replaced by a hard glare at the two of them. It reminded Dick of Titus. “What’s your opinion on the basements?”
“Basements?” Bruce repeated, confused.
“Well, you wouldn’t be the first eccentric billionaire to insist Danny be their son. And we’ve noticed a few patterns.” Tucker informed them as if they were talking about something completely normal and mundane. Though, Dick couldn’t really argue. Bruce was also an eccentric billionaire with a secret basement.
“Well, we have a basement,” Dick said hesitantly. “Does that dock us points?” He asked Tucker, half-joking, half-concerned.
“Tentative.”
“So what do you do in your basement?” Wes asked, sipping on a milkshake.
“Normal basement things.” Dick lied.
“Such as…” Valarie implored, eyes suspicious.
Dick hesitated thinking about what to say. Bruce hadn’t said anything either. But Danny took the time to tell his friends, “Guys I really don’t think that should be a problem. I mean, would someone like Vlad really go for the ‘let’s have dinner so my family can meet your family and we can get to know each other’ approach when the ‘let me drug and kidnap you and stick you in a cloning pod’ approach was right there.”
His friends seemed to consider this before they all nodded and agreed.
“Vlad Masters drugged and kidnaped you to put you in a cloning pod?” Bruce asked, concerned.
“No,” Danny said, offhandedly, not bothering to elaborate. Someone should really look into that guy.
“O-M-G, is that Paulina?” Wes said pointedly, a menacing grin on his face as he looked at Danny, who in turn looked alarmed.
“Aw, Danny you should go say ‘Hi’.” Tucker cooed, teasingly, Danny groaned, his ears flushing in embarrassment.
“Guys, stop.” Sam said finally, “We wouldn’t want another spoon incident.” A grin cracked on her face. Danny buried his face in his hands.
Dick looked over to see who they were talking about. There were two girls, one was a blond girl with her arms hooked around Kwan from The Mall, and the other was a darker skinned girl wearing a pink crop top. Dick wasn’t sure who Paulina was, but it didn’t really matter, as he took his chance to tease his brother. “You have a crush on Paulina?” He asked teasingly. Bruce is smiling next to him.
“No.” Danny denied it fervently. “I mean- I did. Like forever ago. But not anymore.”
“He’s since moved on to more attainable targets.” Tucker nodded. Received a smack from Sam and a spoon to the face from Valerie. “Ow. What? It’s true.”
“Y’know what they say. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.” Wes added with a snicker.
“Wes,” Danny groaned at the same time as Sam and Valarie hissed his name.
“I sense a story.” Bruce commented, sipping his drink.
“It all started when we were fresh little freshmen. Danny had his little crush on Paulina. I was just trying to get by, y’know. Not all of us have Wayne genes.” Tucker started pointedly.
“What- we didn’t know about that till this week.” Danny pointed out.
“Doesn’t mean it wasn’t there, dude.” Wes spoke up. Sam and Valerie stayed suspiciously quiet. Dick’s smirk only grew.
“As I was saying, we’re just doing normal freshman things, when Sammy here,” Tucker points to Sam with his head, “starts crushing. Big time.”
“It was not that bad.” Sam points out.
“It was, in fact, that bad.” Tucker said, looking at Bruce and Dick, “But at the same time Danny and Val have a little enemies-to-lovers thing and then they both start crushing on each other. And they dated for a while, but then they broke up cause Val had a lot on her plate at the time. Danny was all mopey and heartbroken. And then Sam swoops in like his little knight in glowing armor, then they start dating. And all the while I’m here single and alone.” Tucker shakes his head mournfully.
“I was not all mopey and heartbroken.” Danny defends himself.
“You so were dude.” Tucker says.
“Yeah.” Sam agrees.
“But then Sam and Danny decide that they’re better off as friends because Danny kinda had a lot to deal with. And now we’re all best friends.”  Tucker concluded, cheerfully.
“Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, huh, Bruce.” Dick says slyly. Bruce huffs.
“Then what about the spoon incident?” Bruce asked.
“Oh, that was back when there were a lot of ghost attacks, and the school had my parents come in to run security. And this one time we were having lunch outside, and they just showed up out of nowhere. And I got kinda spooked and…” Danny’s voice trailed off into a mumble, and Dick couldn’t catch the last bit.
“Sorry, what was that?”
“He said he swallowed a spoon.” Wes spoke up.
“What?” Bruce asked, alarmed. “Are you okay?”
“Oh yeah, I got it out.” Danny waved dismissively.
“How?” Dick asked, confused.
“Uh, I just did.” He waved again. Before Dick could ask any more questions, someone else decided to show up.
“Oh good, I thought I missed you guys.” Another red-haired boy showed up. “Hi, I’m Adam, Wes’s brother.” Dick recognized the accent the boy had. He stuck out a hand for Dick to shake.

“Dad!”
Bruce didn’t recognize the voice, but it was young and close, so he turns. It turns out to be a teen, maybe thirteen or fourteen, and he’s jogging right up to him and Damian.
They had come to the festival as a father and son outing (encouraged by Dick) pretty far from Gotham as a bonding experience. He didn’t think anything crazy would happen in Pennsylvania, but he’s found he can be wrong about a lot of things.
When he turns, the boy doesn’t look confused at all. The teen stops in front of the two of them, Damian not bothering to hide his scowl at the boy.
“Geez, I turn around for a second and you disappear. Now who’s the ghost, huh?” The teen snarks.
Bruce blinks, but before he can say anything the boy’s attention is on Damian.
“You okay? Got separated from your people?”
“My father is right here, you idiot.”
“Damian,” he scolds.
The boy blinks in confusion before looking back up at Bruce with searching eyes. It takes him a lot longer than is normal before the teen blinks in surprise.
“Oh, yeah, you’re not my dad.”
Bruce gives an awkward smile while keeping an eye out for a man looking for a child.
“Sorry about that. You look just like my dad, like you could be twins.”
“Is that right?”
“Except he would never wear a turtleneck and he might be a little taller.”
Bruce blinks down in surprise.
“What’s wrong with turtlenecks?”
All the teen does is raise an eyebrow in silent judgement.
“Since you know this is my father and not yours, should you not be looking for him?” Damian asks in an annoyed tone.
“Oh, that’s easy,” he shrugs off with a cheeky grin that clearly says ‘watch this’. He turns toward the crowd and sucks in a deep breath before shouting at the top of his lungs, “GHOST!!”
Several people around them back away with appalled expressions that the boy doesn’t pay any attention to. A commotion is heard just to their left and suddenly there is a large man breaking through the crowd.
“Where?!”
“Dad!”
The man goes from ready to brawl to delight in two seconds flat like a golden retriever.
“Dann-o!”
The teen points to Bruce.
“I found your doppelgänger!”

DpxDc The Ultimate Enemy AU:
When danny goes to the future chasing after his evil future self, he runs into Batman, the only surviving member of the Justice League. The hero helps him track down Vlad and discover what happened. Before Danny goes back in time to stop the dark timeline, Batman stops him.
Batman gives him a code phrase and tells him that if things dont work out, if he cant save his family or if he needs help in his own time he should go to Bruce Wayne and tell him the code and the man will help him.
Batman with years of experience when it comes to his deranged teenaged vigilante children assumes that Danny will know that Batman just shared his secret identity. After all, all of his kids would have put it together with ease.
Unfortunately for Batman, Danny is not one of his detective kids. Danny assumes that Bruce Wayne is a friend of Batman's. He goes back to his past and manages to defeat Dan and Clockwork saves his family. He never forgets the code Batman gave him.
Fast forward a couple years, Danny is on the run, he needs help. He does what Batman told him to do and goes to Bruce Wayne. He gives the man the code and is immediately taken to Wayne Manor for some medical care.
Danny doesnt want to tell Wayne about his ghost half. When the man asks him why he was hurt and how he can help, Danny said he needed a place to stay and that Batman said that Bruce would help him. Danny begs Bruce not to tell anyone he is here, not even Batman. He needs a safe place to hide.
The code Danny gave? A batman original that means "this is a trusted part of the bat family who comes from a doomed timeline, do whatever they say"
But Danny doesnt know Bruce is Batman????
So like, from Bruce's perspective, this beat-up kid shows up from out of nowhere and gives him a code phrase that basically sets the entire bat fam on red alert. Because this kid just came back in time from a doomed world right?
But the Batman of that time didn't reveal his identity. So surely there must be a reason for that? Bruce has to trust the version of himself that lived that failed timeline, which means he can't reveal his identity.
But no. There was no reason. Batman just did that thing he always does where when talking to a dark haired, blue eyed teenage hero he just doesn't finish his sentences and assumes they understand him perfectly.
They almost never do, at least not at first, and he never, ever learns.
Shenanigans, as always, ensue.

Gut Feeling
DPXDC
Commissioner Jim Gordon meets an odd kid in the precinct.
--
“Come on, you really don’t have a way to directly contact Batman?”
Jim smiled. Kids came to the station and asked that all the time. Usually, it was just curiosity and showing them the signal was enough to get them to sign up for the Junior Police program. This one looked a little older than most, teenagers were often “too old” to believe in Batman, but again, give them a little faith now and they’ll never loose it.
“Lookin’ for the Bat, kid?” Jim asked, knowing he was about to make this kid’s –
Jim froze. The kid turned to face him and it was Bruce Wayne. Not playboy billionaire Bruce Wayne, but freshly a teenager Bruce Wayne. The Bruce Wayne who Jim had checked in on time and again from age eight until he ran off on a globetrotting trip to find himself. The little Bruce Wayne with too pale skin and dark bags under his eyes, and not enough love to make up for all the grief weighing him down. And he didn’t look like Damian either, where Bruce was obviously his father but there were distinct traits from his mother. This was a carbon copy of a boy Jim remembered vividly.
“I am.” He even sounded like teenage Bruce. All business, like he was on a mission.
“I might be able to help you, but it’ll take a while.” Jim said and the officer the kid had been talking too gave him an odd look. He waved her off and told the kid to follow him to the commissioner’s office. Normally, he’d be more dramatic, put on more of a show for the kid, but his gut told him this was different, this was important. He offered the kid a styrofoam cup of water then closed the door behind him. “So, what do you need to talk to Batman for?”
“It’s personal. I need to talk to him in person.”
Jim took a sip of coffee from his cup. “He doesn’t appreciate me calling for no reason in the middle of the day.”
“So you do have a direct line?” The kid nearly jumped out of his seat. “If he’s upset, it’ll be my fault, just call him, please.”
“Who should I say wants to talk to him?”
The kid hesitated. “He doesn’t know me, but I have to talk to him.”
Jim frowned. “What’s your name, kid?”
He swallowed and looked like he wasn’t going to answer for a moment. “Danny.”
“Danny…?” Jim wanted a last name but Danny kept quiet. Jim sighed, “He’s likely not going to show up until sundown.”
“I can wait, as long as you guarantee he’ll show.”
“And you’re not going to tell me why you need Batman?” Jim just got a glare in response. “What about one of the other heroes?”
“Only Batman, no one else can help.”
“You sure about that? Not even Superman?”
“Not unless Superman can get me in the same room as Batman.”
“Why’s it so important that you meet him in person?”
“It’s personal.”
Jim liked this less and less by the minute. “Do your parents know you’re here?”
Danny looked away but right when it looked like he wouldn’t say anything he mumbled. “They wouldn’t care anyway.”
After another moment to give the kid time to reconsider, Jim pulled out the Bat-phone. It was a normal Wayne-Tech cell phone, but Jim had been given very specific instructions on how and when to use it. The phone listed all the Gotham Vigilantes without visible numbers so they couldn’t be copied and handed out. He pressed the one for Batman.
“Stand outside, would you?” The kid gave him a look, but followed the request. Jim could see his shadow in the door’s window, not so subtle eavesdropping.
It rang a few times, and Jim sat there awkwardly with a teenager listening to his every move. Finally, a familiar voice picked up the other end of the line. “Commissioner Gordon.”
“Sorry to call you out of the blue Batman, but I’ve got a kid here who needs your help.”
“Who?”
“Says his name is Danny, that you’ve never met him but you’re the only one who can help him.”
“Why?”
“Refuses to tell me.”
“What’s your best guess, Commissioner?”
Jim looked at Danny’s shadow, it looked like he was straining his ears to try and hear what he was saying. Danny had given him almost nothing to work with. Just his name, that he’s never met Batman but needs to talk with him in person. But Jim was here because he listened to his gut. A feeling like when you see a random rock on your neighbor’s doorstep but you’d never go in without an invitation. A feeling like you know what’s in the present and are preparing your surprised face. A feeling like when you cheated on your wife and you know she knows.
“He looks like Bruce Wayne.”
A beat of silence. “What?”
“Danny looks exactly like Bruce when he was a teenager. Exactly the same.” Jim hoped Batman would get it, feel in his gut what Jim felt.
“And he wont say why he’s there?”
“No, and he demands to see you in person.”
“I’ll be there in an hour.”
“10-4.” The line cut off before Jim had finished saying it. He called Danny in again. “He’s on his way.”
Danny glared at him. “If he’s not, if you called some social worker or something, you’ll regret it.”
“I’m sure.” Jim sighed and downed the rest of his now cold coffee.
The sun hadn’t set, but only just barely. Jim ended up taking Danny up to the roof in the end after all, if only to save his window from being broken into. The kid had a red hoodie on, but he was still shivering in the autumn chill and it was just going to get colder by the minute as the sun made its way behind the horizon.
Jim checked his watch and, at exactly an hour from when he called, he acted surprised when Batman and Robin appeared out of nowhere. “Bats.”
“Commissioner.” Batman greeted but his eyes went straight for Danny. “Danny, I assume.”
“Yeah, I…” Danny hesitated, looking at Jim and Robin.
All it took was four words from Batman. “What do you need?”
The kid held out his hand with a flash drive in it. “I’m your clone. My par- The people who made me wanted to make a stronger version of you, but they got ahead of themselves. My DNA is degrading and I’ll die if I don’t get your DNA to stabilize me.”
Holy cow.
“You don’t expect us to believe that, do you?” Robin sneered at him.
“The flash drive has all the info on it. All the data about the cloning process and the, uh, relevant experiments after that.” Batman gave the kid a look. “I didn’t want to waste time on unnecessary data.”
“If what you’re saying is true, why are you here, alone? Are they working on a different solution?”
Danny’s shoulders hiked up. “I’ve been a failure for a while now, I’m not worth the resources and they’d learn more from an autopsy.”
Oof, kid. Jim looked at Batman who seemed to feel the same… if Jim was reading him right.
“So, you wont object to a DNA test?” Robin asked with a cocky head tilt, at least he was relatively easy to read.
“You can try.” Danny said, and then realized what that sounded like. “I mean I wont stop you, but my DNA degrades faster outside my body. You’ll have to take me to whatever lab you plan on using.”
“Then we will.” Batman said and jerked his head towards where they’d probably parked that ridiculous car of his. But then he looked at Jim with a nod. “Commissioner.”
“Batman.” Jim returned the nod. “You’ll tell me how things turn out, yeah?”
“I’ll give you a report.” Batman joked – Jim could tell, it was gut feeling.

Alfred: I'm afraid I don't have any open positions right now available
Danny: There isn't? But what about the ad on Gotham Job Connects saying a nanny was needed at Wayne Manor?
Alfred: I am unsure how that go on there but I can assure you, no one here put up that-
Damian: Excuse me, are you Daniel Fenton?
Danny: *Blinks down at child* Oh um yes I am.
Damian: Excellent. You're right on time for your interview. Please follow me.
Alfred: Master Damian? You put up a ad for a nanny?
Damian: That's right.
Alfred: You....want someone to care for you?
Damian: Heavens no. I'm searching for a nanny for the real child of the house. I know you're overwhelmed with the day to day duties running the household and didn't want you to have a heart attack from the stress. A professional nanny would lift the load off your shoulders.
Danny: That's so sweet that you care so much for your staff. Who's the child you want someone to help take care of? You're baby brother or sister?
Damian: My father.
Danny: .....
Alfred embarrassed: Master Damian....why would you-?
Damian: Richard says Father acts like a child, and children need minding if they make idiotic decisions too often.
Danny: .....
Alfred: I'm terrible sorry about this young man. I'll reimburse any millage you wasted driving out here.
Danny: No, it's okay. I-
Damian: The pay is fifty dollars a hour. Eighty hours every two weeks. We cover all benefits such as medical, dental, vision and auto insurance, and lodging can be provided if needed. Depending on how long we need your services I'll set up a retirement fund for you matching your bi-weekly pay.
Danny: So I would be like a in home caregiver? Most of my experience is with children but I'm sure I could handle your father.
Alfred: Master Damian!
Damian: *Hands Alfred a piece of paper*
Alfred after reading it: How soon can you start sir?
