Normal Strangeness
Fukazawa's death might as well ignite another dark era but this time with Ranpo. He's like the Levi Ackerman in this world and it doesn't help that they share the same Japanese voice actor. Might as well play it up to this unless Yosano shows up.

Okay so I was in the bsd tag and I read some things that make me believe that none of you guys can think. like, honestly, no shade, but fuck.
So, Theory Time!
The Untold Origins' whole plot is around a organization who is after the most mysterious old guy in that fucking place, a.k.a Natsume Sensei, and they would have had him if it wasn't for Ranpo's smart ass.
Even more interesting, is the whole plan to get Natsume is around a murder threat that says "AN ANGEL WILL BRING DEATH" signed by a V person. And this murder is to happen in a theater play about an angel who kills the twelve character of the play. An angel who uses a holy blade to kill the last character. An angel who is killing because the characters are sinners and the work of this angel is to purge the ones who wronged him. Purge the twelve sinners who once were angels themselves.
Fukuchi uses the metaphor of Divine/Celestial Beigns for the government, and is trying to take over the world so there is no more wars, but also because those people were the ones who let him and his friends to die in the battlefield. Fukuchi is punishing them, and for this he became one of them.
In this same play, they also said that the ability users were once angels who paid for their sins and were able to return to heaven with God's blessing. Fukuzawa, during this part, remember some things and understand that the person who wrote the play has deep understanding about ability users. He also seems to make a conection between the name "V" with the fact that the play is about a search for an ability user.
This novel also talks a lot about the power of a "performance", which had great impact in this DOA arc too, with Gogol's and Fukuchi's acting.
In the novel, they use a "false" murder to mask Natsume's kidnapping. The murder happens by a blade that comes from nowhere and penetrated the victim's chest. The blade disappear right after.
Also, there is another interesting thing: right after the murder, Ranpo says "It's easy to catch the shrimp. And it's okay if you just catch the shrimp if it's the best you can do. But if you want to catch the whale, you have to use the shrimp."
It's ADA the shrimp that will lead to catch DOA in the end? Or is DOA the shrimp and there is something bigger behind all of this?
To be honest, all of this is leading to where I want. The actual whale.
Ranpo, in the sequence, explains the story. The angel was the public (Natsume, who was watching the play), and was the actual victim behind everything. The jugdment of the angel was only a performance while the "victim" (Murakami, the one who got stabbed) was faking. The judge became the victim and the judged became the murder.
I will not unfold myself in the novel's plot, but Natsume was the actual victim of the whole thing. And it's amazing that someone had put their hands in him because, as everyone knows now, he is very slippery and no one knows his whereabouts, so whoever thought about all of it was smart.
And the whole final plot is interesting. By the end, the partner of Murakami, the actual criminal, Kurahashi was the one that wanted to capture Natsume, and he was killed by a blade that came from nowhere and penetrated his chest. The blade disappear right after.
Ranpo is captured too, by a fake police officer who receive his orders through the radio. And Ranpo discover that Kurahashi was actually dead even before the play started. All these people were used only to capture Natsume sensei. Even better, to catch the informations Natsume was keeping inside his cane. Also, Odasaku knew about this guy "V" who was trying to capture Natsume.
Oda also says something that caught my attetion: "They are killing for justice. Once they are done killing for their justice, they will continue to kill. They will simply stop caring about who are dead." which remembered me about the ch 104.5.
FINALLY, we got here, where I want you to be, with the organization "V" revealing their ultimate goal: To end all the ability users. I think we heard it before (here is a clue, starts with Fy and ends with odor).
Where am I willing to end: The Untold Origins has a lot to conect with the current arc. Not only everything I listed, but also the Fukuzawa's story. Asagiri used a lot of metaphors with "Angels" during this novel. There is a lot of times where I can recall either Gogol's or Fukuchi's ability, like the blade that disappears. The whole performance thing and how that was the strategy used by the DOA to incriminate ADA in the beggining of everything. The shrimp and the whale thing, that also can relate to how Fyodor used Fitzgerald to get closer to his goal. How this organization "V" is known by the dark streets in Yokohama.
The way the novel were released in May 15, 2015, in Japan, and Doa arc started around the beggining of 2017.
Am I saying this organization V is behind everything? No but Yes. You can read it any way you like it. Am I over analyzing BSD again? Probably. Totally possible.
I talk about this A LOT because since I read this fucking novel i was like wAIT A FUCKING MINUTE but never saw no one acknowledged it soooo I shuted my fucking mouth. It's open now :)
Hope you guys liked. Bye.

The real Åkuro Teruko was an apprentice of Natsume SÅseki. I wonder if she'll be revealed to have some sort of connection to him in bsd, especially since Natsume has had many mysterious connections and we don't know much of Teruko's past (hell, we don't even know her age).
In the latest chapter (104.5), Teruko told Atsushi Fukuchi's past. Fukuchi and Fukuzawa were significant figures during the war. We know Fukuzawa knows Natsume and Fukuchi knows Teruko, so there is a chance these two also know each other.
Additionally, both of them have abilities that allow them to change the shape of their bodies.

Maybe Natsume saw the mental state Fukichi was in after the war and sent Teruko (yk, as she was an apprentice / secret agent /subordinate of his) to him to keep an eye on him and keep the world in peace?
#idk but I like it very much bc she plays an important and cool role in this theory and natsume theories are very interesting#if you have any theories SHARE THEM#bsd#bungou stray dogs#bsd teruko#bsd natsume#bsd theory#bsd manga#bsd fukuchi#bsd fukuzawa

Hello! I just read chapter 104.5 of Bsd I just wondered what do you think Fukuchi goal is ?
Hmm... I'm actually not sure. Even I looked back at the analysis I shared here,Ā there, and this.Ā But I feel like it has something to do with Fukuchi's beliefs on war that Teruko understood on a personal level in which I fully agree on OPās thoughts.
*Disclaimer: This is just my opinion so feel free to disapprove of mine.
So let's take a look back at what Fukuchi said to Atsushi, Akutagawa & Tachihara.
He basically talked about the government, or politicians to be exact, needs to be received for what they did to their military forces. An excruciating & painful punishment for letting the soldiers fight in a war & torture the civilians while the others only gave orders without a feeling of sympathy.
Then we check what Fukuchi said to Fukuzawa.
Fukuchi thought that fighting in the war is not just to bring peace but also to save lives of others, including his comrades. Whereas Fukuzawa thought that the war could means killing people mercilessly. Both of their opinion varied. And that led to their friendship broke apart.
Fukuzawa thought that Fukuchi is trying to take revenge on the world nations for giving him & his comrades suffer in the war. A Hell broke loose during that time. But Fukuchi said it was wrong. What Teruko told Atsushi a true intention of Decay of Angels is beyond revenge.
Thereās something happened to Fukuchi throughout his thirty six years of life. Maybe way before he went to the war (or could be time-looping he repeatedly going through during the war thanks to his sword). Something that slowly changed him into a different person. And that caused his opinion about wars contradicts with what he believed and Teruko understood that. Fukuzawaās not wrong though about his fault of not being with him, to support him in tough times. Itās more than that he never get a full picture of.
This maybe the reason why that heās a part of Decay of Angels.Ā The meaning of ācleansing the world from evil and sinā, thereās more than just about ridding of ability users, more than to rid of the nations.
Iām sorry for giving a vague answer but thatās all I can think of.

An Oddity
Hereās an interesting parallel for you. Notice how it was first Akutagawa, Chuuya, and now Fukazawa. I guess the power of friendship means nothing when three generations of soukoku arenāt protected by plot armor. But fear not we have still have single white, black, and gray, the holy trinity or whatās left of it.
