Bitcoin Jesus continues to claim that BCH is Bitcoin

Roger Ver, the CEO of Bitcoin.com, popularly known as the Bitcoin Jesus recently tweeted that Bitcoin [BTC] supporters stand against the definition laid out in the title of its whitepaper. The statement made by him faced a lot of criticism on his social media platform.

Roger Ver Tweeted:

“Consider the fact that BTC supporters are opposed to the use case laid out in the very title of the white paper that defines what Bitcoin is. BCH is Bitcoin.”

This is not the first time Roger is seen voicing against Bitcoin [BTC] and supporting Bitcoin Cash [BCH]. ‘Bitcoin Jesus’ has been continuously promoting Bitcoin Cash [BCH] as the token envisioned by Satoshi Nakamoto. Recently, he stated that BCH is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system and not BTC because Bitcoin Cash processed more transaction in a single day while maintaining a low transaction fee than that of Bitcoin.

The statement on this social media platform was followed up by a lot of support as well as dissent from the community. Some claimed that if Bitcoin is supposed to be the way it is mentioned in the whitepaper by Satoshi Nakamoto, then there are some alts which are already providing those services which would mean that they are Bitcoin as well.

Rodney Tambling, Twitterati said:

“The part about micro payments to adult sites technically makes Verge #xvg the bitcoin in the white paper too”

The BTC community shifted to defense mode by stating that Bitcoin remains true to Satoshi’s vision. The news that it is to be accepted by Starbucks for payment was also stirred up. The statement also witnessed a huge support from the Bitcoin Cash community.

David, another Twitterati said:

“Lol, how many times has ver used the buying a cup of coffee example? This totally invalidates btrash!”

Plymouth Freemason said:

“@rogerkver – do you wanna go to Starbucks with your BCash junkcoin? Oh well… you can’t.”

Craig Mason, a person who makes videos about cryptocurrency said:

“When the day comes that Starbux is ready to accept crypto, a team of smart people will be tasked with figuring out which one(s) to accept. They will care only about it’s usability and profitability. They’ll probably research the lightning network, BCH, and others…”

He further adds:

“and consider how each may play out in their stores. They’ll bring in experts, compare costs/benefits, and try them out. They’ll see that LN needs to be online, can’t handle big payments (there will be some, even at sbux), and is a general hassle to use. They’ll see BCH and/or others work simply and reliably (and also work similarly, not some oddball kludge like LN). They will look at the trends, which is gaining adoption. I highly doubt they’ll end up using BTC.”

  Cuando una de las partes en un conflicto es culpable de actos inmorales, no tomar partido equivale a tomar partido por la inmoralidad. Y si en ese conflicto se juega la separación de Moneda y Estado, desdeñar la radical diferencia entre las fuerzas de ocupación y la resistencia a la ocupación te convierte en cómplice de las atrocidades que hace posible el monopolio estatal de la institución moneda.

El establishment financiero sabe lo que está en juego; es hora de que nosotros también tomemos consciencia y hagamos lo que las circunstancias exigen, si es que realmente somos partidarios de la noble causa de la despolitización del dinero.

Aquí no basta con tener razón. Divulgar los méritos de Bitcoin (léase Bitcoin Cash, BCH, o Bitcoin tal como lo diseñó satoshi nakamoto) es importante pero no suficiente. Derek Magill nos invita a pensar estratégicamente, abrazar nuestro lado oscuro y aprender de los innumerables ejemplos que la historia nos ofrece.

Antes de que pasase una hora de la publicación de este ensayo, varios seguidores de Bitcoin Core intentaron hackear mi cuenta de Twitter.

Un argumento comúnmente utilizado por Bitcoin Core es que los usuarios de Bitcoin Cash deberían dejar de atacar a Bitcoin Core y centrarse en lo suyo.

Esto es gracioso viniendo de un grupo de personas que hacen que se suspendan cuentas de Twitter, censuran foros de Reddit, difaman a héroes como Roger Ver, y gritan “BCASH BTRASH BCASH” (Nota del traductor: “trash” quiere decir “basura”) a la menor oportunidad. Si la gente de Core no quería que las discusiones se volviesen tan hostiles, para empezar deberían haber dejado que tuviese lugar un debate abierto y civilizado. No lo han hecho y nos vemos obligados a ser más agresivos. A falta de una frase mejor, “ellos empezaron”.

Al mismo tiempo, su argumento es demostrablemente falso y no puedo evitar verlo como un intento de neutralizar a Bitcoin Cash. Una de las estrategias más poderosas que alguien equivocado puede utilizar es hacerse inmune a las críticas. El hecho es que las cosas buenas de Bitcoin Cash están inseparablemente ligadas a las cosas malas de Bitcoin Core. En realidad no se pueden discutir las unas sin discutir también las otras. Bitcoin Cash nació de la necesidad creada por los límites artificiales impuestos por los cárteles de Bitcoin Core, no de una simple ocurrencia de algún desarrollador en sus ratos de ocio. Tal como escribe Chris Pacia:

Recuerda, ni uno solo de nosotros quería que tuviese lugar Bitcoin Cash. Hicimos todo lo que estuvo a nuestro alcance, tendimos la mano en son de paz de todas las maneras imaginables, incluyendo reducir en un 90% nuestras demandas de incremento de capacidad y activar segwit para evitar una división de la cadena.

Pero los desarrolladores de Core y sus seguidores fueron tan intransigentes que no quisieron ceder ni un centímetro. Así que no hubo más alternativa que dividir la cadena. Ahora nos atacan agresivamente estos imbéciles por dividir la cadena, algo que era 100% evitable.

Simplemente sería impreciso –e imposible– que fingiésemos que esta parte de la historia de Bitcoin Cash nunca ocurrió. También debilitaría nuestra defensa y permitiría a la comunidad Core continuar libremente con sus campañas de propaganda y censura.

Y desde un punto de vista estratégico, cabe recordar que nunca nadie ha triunfado presentando una visión estrictamente positiva de su postura, sin hacer referencia a lo negativo de la postura contraria. El odio, la indignación, la frustración y la ira son potentes motivadores.

Cuando observo la historia de la Revolución Americana, con la que a menudo comparo el movimiento Bitcoin Cash, obviamente veo la noble imagen de la humanidad presentada en la declaración de la independencia, pero también veo las denuncias contra el Rey Jorge. Veo la visión del “destino manifiesto” para América, pero también veo plebeyos arrojando alquitrán y plumas a cobradores de impuestos británicos1. Veo a Thomas Paine escribiendo sobre los derechos del hombre, pero también a rebeldes arrojando té británico a la bahía.

Criticar a tu enemigo es una necesidad estratégica. Por poner otro ejemplo, la propaganda anti-alemana en la Primera Guerra Mundial fue una de las fuerzas que impulsó a los Estados Unidos a la guerra. Funciona.

El fallecido clasicista e historiador militar John David Lewis señaló que los registros de la historia de la guerra…

…muestran que el poder decisivo pertenece a aquellos que tienen, de hecho, razón, si quienes tienen razón lo saben. Puede que hoy en día esté pasado de moda decir esto –en un clima intelectual que desguaza hechos y valores, e interpreta las reivindicaciones morales como cuestiones de opinión intrínsecamente irresolubles–, pero sigue siendo un hecho demostrable que los sistemas de esclavitud de Esparta y de los Estados Confederados de América eran moralmente corruptos y que la libertad respetada y defendida por los tebanos y por la Unión era moralmente superior.

Si queremos que Bitcoin Cash sobreviva, necesitamos comprender la validez de los argumentos técnicos y económicos a favor de BCH, la visión para el futuro, y sí, la idiotez de la posición de Bitcoin Core y la inmoralidad de muchos de sus seguidores. Y necesitamos usar toda esta comprensión para construir un mensaje convincente y robusto.

Cualquiera que diga lo contrario no es un aliado.

Bitcoin [BTC] and Bitcoin Cash [BCH] ‘who is better’ controversy

Bitcoin Core is known by its symbol BTC. Since the commencement of BCH, also known as Bitcoin Cash, the group has been bargaining laws. The question of ‘Who is better’ is something BCH has been fighting to prove to the crypto-world.

Satoshi Nakamoto is the creator of Bitcoin and has not been unmasked yet. Nobody knows his or her identity or origin.

Bitcoin tweeted:

“Current fees on the BTC network are 11,414x higher than fees on the BCH network.”

Along with this, the Bitcoin Cash’s team added an image:

Shaz Ahmed, a Twitter user commented:

“Bcos nobody is using your btrash. Fees is high on BTC bcos network is clogged.”

The image talks about the current transaction fee of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. While BCH has a transactional fee of $0.001, BTC charges $10.11.

There’s a vast difference between 5.08T and 650.82G difficulty index of mining. As 1000 GH make 1TH, the difficulty level is way high for Bitcoin than Bitcoin Cash.

As observed, there’s a difference of 7127 ledgers in the block heights of Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin. BCH has a Block height of 5,35,608 while BTC has a Block height of 5,28,481.

While Spartacus, another crypto-enthusiast commented:

“Can you change your twitter name to Bitcoin cash? Ur not bitcoin”

At the time of writing, BTC is traded at the price of $6785.69 while BCH is traded at $894.41 it ranks #4 while BTC ranks #1 on CoinMarketCap. BCH has a market cap of $15 billion while BTC has the high market cap of $116 billion. BCH and BTC both the coins are currently running green, with a hike of 3.56% and 4.62%  in their weekly cap.
