I actually like Georgian dancing, and I thought maybe Killer would be good at it

And I started thinking about other famous characters, like Cross for example

SUMMARY: Hard launching your relationship with Paige Bueckers on court after a good game.

WARNINGS: Second person point of view, fluff, light kissing, and cheerleader reader.

The loud ring filling the basketball court, UConn winning once again. Each fan cheering and screaming in their seats.

You on other hand are cheering on the sideline, moving your pompoms in the air as you’re screaming “Let’s go Huskies! Woo woo!”

A wave of people rush on court, hugging each other and screaming.

You feel a gaze on you as you’re cheering, your eyes immediately tracing down the person who’s looking at you— Paige.

You feel giddy as you make eye contact, giving her a wide smile, shaking your pompoms. As you do, she mouths “Come over here” while waving her hand over.

You rush over, weaving your way through the crowd as you grip your pompoms.

As soon as you get in close enough proximity she brings you into a hug, a tight hug as her arms wrap around your waist.

“Paige..what about the cameras?” You whisper, wrapping your arms around her neck as you tighten the hug.

Paige shakes her head, giving you light kisses. “It’s fine, who cares.” She murmurs in between her kisses.

You nod as a light blush creeps on your face, you finally return her kisses, giving her a quick but genuine kiss on her cheek.

After a minute of you two together, a wave of cameras and interviewers circle around you.

Paige let’s go of the hug, but keeping her arms wrapped around her waist; not caring anymore.

As she answers questions your gaze is locked onto her, your mind buzzing from excitement. Everything else around you two a blur, just you and Paige.

i fully support the azzi to dallas agenda and here’s why:

- first and foremost paige and azzi have something you can’t find everywhere—chemistry. they know how to play with each other and they have an undeniable connection on the court. also uconn blood runs in both of them and the biggest thing this team needs is a little bit of geno.

- but what about the whole “too many shooters” problem in dallas? arike is nearing the end man. and by the end i mean her dallas era. i’m sure she’d do great somewhere else but i think her time is up in tx.

- between li and luisa (also lyss, she's played center before) the current centers are not bad. i think if they really need one they trade for one with arike but imo they could make it work for now.

- if a center is not needed, dallas trades arike for a passer player, someone less selfish with the ball who can utilize paige off ball when she inevitably has to be. this is not to say paige should be off ball a lot, i am a full supporter of PG paige and every one her teams play well when she orchestrates their offense.

- now here’s another thing. a lot of yall think that if azzi goes to dallas then she’s just gonna be in the shadow of paige again and i even saw someone say she’s considered as an “accessory” to paige. and ykw maybe that was how it looked to the general public when they played at uconn together, even though real fans definitely understand how incredible of a player azzi is. it’s kinda nuts but some of my favorite games last season were the ones where paige was sitting, where we got to see azzi explode for 30+. (i love paige do not kill me)

- ok so to the whole “in paige’s shadow” thing, i say: we’ve already seen how much azzi has grown on social media and in the public eye after more attention was brought to her during the natty run. in my opinion, this next year at uconn is going to be amazing for her, she’s going to be one of, if not uconn’s main star player and she’s going to get a shit ton of attention. i think she’s gonna be super super hyped up and her whole underdog/comeback storyline is gonna be just as big, if not bigger than paige’s whole narrative in the 24-25 season. there’s a lot more attention coming to women’s basketball and i think azzi could be one of those players that the media really hooks onto (like paige, caitlin, or angel)

- if azzi shows out in her senior season i see her going no. 1 (hopefully to dallas), and it’s going to be insane. with the moves dallas is making it seems like they are kind of looking at drafting her and i think the team understands that paige and azzi’s chemistry is not just something they can buy.

so. that’s why i think azzi to dallas works, the coaching is a whole fucking other problem and temu jesus needs to get his head out of his ass before paige and dijonai start running off the books basement practices themselves (i love life!). let me know if there’s anything else im not thinking about but that’s where i stand. anyway, thank you for listening to my ted talk and hopefully it makes sense.

Media Preservation Monday

Yeah, yeah, as of this original post it's actually only Wednesday but hey, take this as a sign to take some initiative, and keep to it each Monday at minimum if you're actively writing!

What's Media Preservation Monday, you may ask?

MPM is your reminder to back up your writing at least three ways at least once a week or whenever you make major changes to your document(s).

Here's some incredibly easy ways to back up your writing:

One your Master Document(s), put a date on the file name, and every day you make changes, "Save As" the Document and change the date. Do this every time or day you make major changes.

Example: You start writing your Novella November Story on November 1st.

You name your master document "Novnov Project 11-01-2024"

The next day, you write some more, and at the end of your writing session, you go to save your document, and instead of simply hitting "Save" you choose "Save As" and save the new copy of the Document as "Novnov Project 11-02-2024".

You now have two copies of your project, and if you keep this up throughout the whole month, you will have a live snapshot of your writing progress.

Each day or after each major writing session, open up the folder containing your document, and back it up. The Easiest and simplest way to do this is to simply email it to yourself, but you can also create multiple backups by:

Save a copy of your dated Master Document(s) to different locations on your Hard-drive, to an external hard-drive, to a thumbdrive, etc.

If you're writing offline on a writing program like Libreoffice, upload a copy of your Master Document(s) to your preffered Cloud-based Writing Program of your choice.

Vice Versa: if you write on a Cloud-based writing program, download it to various offline-based locations.

Download the base document as well as download it as various ebook formats and send them to your ebook library on your phone or kindle or nook or reading app.

Make a personal discord server and upload the document/epub form of your Master Document(s) there [this is also a good way of making a kind of personal journal / diary etc]

Whatever you do, do not be complacent and assume nothing can happen to your writing. Back it up. Preserve it.

Don't have all of your hard work go down the drain because of one tiny unforeseen accident.

When it comes time to clean up your hardrive, always assume you don't have it backed up. Before deleting anything always take the time to copy it over to another physical drive or a cloud drive.

SUMMARY: You—a new student from ASU just transferred to UConn for cheer, and start to see Paige everywhere you go on campus. ( first part of a new series ) WARNINGS: Second person point of view, fluff, cheerleader!reader, and that’s it!

You walked to your first class, it also being your first day at UConn. You had been transferred from ASU to UConn because of cheer stuff. But the way you had felt right now you couldn’t put into words.

You were used to Arizona, the nice weather, the hot burning sun, and most of all; used to ASU. ASU’s atmosphere, and the fact you had so many friends there.

Now it’s just you in the chilly Connecticut weather as you most definitely underdressed. You had worn leggings and an athletic top—which it was way too chilly for you to be wearing just that.

But as you pushed your thoughts away you stepped into the class, immediately heading for the back of the class.

You get yourself settled and pull out your laptop, hearing the professor ramble about something until he is shortly interrupted by a girl rushing in.

You see her apologize to the professor as she lightly jogs up the steps, sitting right next to you.

You’ve seen her before—maybe. She looked familiar you thought.

You are though quickly snapped out of your thoughts as she asks for a pencil, “Yo, you got a pencil at all? I kinda need one..” Her voice barely above whisper but still being able to hear the sheepish undertone to her voice.

You nod, “Oh yeah! I only have mechanical ones.” You smile, whispering back to her as you grab the pencil out your water bottle pocket on your backpack.

The girl swiftly grabs the pencil, immediately starting to write stuff down. “Thanks.” She shortly says, her gaze drifting back to you every few seconds.

You ignore her, not in a rude way but in a ‘I need to focus’ way.

“What’s your name?” She whispered again, tilting her head as her eyes flicker over your face.

You blink, you sort of mumbled your name as you were more focused on the professor. “Whats yours?” You ask right after, sort of interrupting the girl.

“My names Paige. It’s nice to meet ya.” Paige nodded, leaning back into her chair.

You nod, smiling politely as you go back to your work.

The class had finally ended an hour later, you had a break in between now and your next class. So you decided on going to the gym area—to just practice stretching and stuff. You had heard that a few other cheerleaders would be there so you weren’t nervous at all.

After walking around campus in attempt to find it you finally did, as you walked in you saw one side of the court with the cheerleaders and the other side with the basketball players.

You shrug as you get onto the court, lightly jogging over to where all the cheerleaders are.

The three other girls quickly introduced themselves, you introduce yourself after and immediately started clicking with them.

As you guys were stretching your gaze fell on Paige—the same Paige you saw in your first class.

As if she could feel your eyes on her, her eyes look right at you, making eye contact.

You awkwardly smile for a few seconds then go back to stretching, all of sudden feeling hot.

Paige on the other hand kept looking back at you, you being right there. Knowing Paige she’s never been scared to talk to any girls, that just wasn’t Paige. She’s usually cocky and quick to sweep girls off their feet—but you were different. You gave this giddiness in her chest when she saw you, and even though she’s seen you twice she knows you’re the one.

Paige gets interrupted as Kk stands next to her, following Paige’s gaze. “Ooo Paige has a crush!” Kk sarcastically says, laughing as she nudges Paige.

Paige’s face flushes and shakes her head, “I do not.” She defends herself, pushing Kk away.

Kk shrugs, “I meannn it sure look like you do.” She pauses, “Just talk to her or somethin.” She nonchalantly says, her gaze flickering between you and Paige.

Paige shakes her head, turning around to face the hoop. “I can’t and won’t, she’s different, I can’t just talk to her. And anyways she looks straight.” She shortly says, stumbling her words a little.

Kk snickers, “You won’t ever know unless you do somethin.” She mutters, going back to the other girls.

Paige turns her head, frowning a little, her gaze flickering back to you.

But as soon as her gaze went to you, yours already on hers.

You feel a light pink blush creep up to your ears, you smile at her.

Paige awkwardly returns the smile, nodding as she swiftly turns back around.

After an hour your mini cheer practiced had finally ended. You were sweaty like crazy as all your baby hairs were sticking to your forehead.

You said your goodbyes to all your cheer teammates a few of them walking with you, as you gave Paige one last smile as you said goodbye.

Paige stumbles her goodbye as she smiled back.

Kk comes up behind Paige, nudging her shoulder. “Yo, look what ya girl left.” She snickers, nodding her head towards your Stanley that you had left.

Paiges eyes look over to where Kk was nodding, immediately feeling that same giddiness in her chest. “I can bring her water bottle back to her, and I could talk to her!” Paige says excitedly, rushing to grab your light pink tumbler.

Kk nods, “Mhm.” She hums, turning back on her heels as she feels proud of herself.

Paige awkwardly holds your Stanley, bringing it close to her chest as she walks down the path you just went down.

Her gaze shoots around as it finally lands on you, Paige feels a nervousness in her chest as she walks up to you.

“Yo, you left your water bottle back there, and I just wanted to bring it back to you, so you have water for the rest of the day.” Paige somewhat confidently said but still stumbled over a few of her words.

You give her a wide smile, ushering your cheer teammates away. “Omg thanks Paige!” You beamed. As you grabbed your Stanley your fingers brushed against hers, a small blush appearing on your face.

“I don’t know what I would do without it.” You continued, having to look up at her to make proper eye contact.

Paige shrugs, “Yeah of course.” She nonchalantly says, her gaze flickering around your face.

“Well I’ll see you around, yeah?” You asked, tilting your head as your eyes scans Paige’s eyes.

Paige nods, dropping her mouth but pausing as she thinks of what to say. “Um yeah, I’ll see you around.” She try’s to say in a nonchalant manner again, but failing.

You give her one last smile as you turn on your heels, your heart racing as what feels like a thousand beats per minute.

While Paige’s is also, feeling a blush appear on her face as she walks back out onto the court.

TikTok remains a chaotic mess this season, with you reluctantly dragged into every challenge, dance and prank video.

The team introduces a new “Manager Cam,” where they document your reactions during games and road trips.
