genuinely disappointed by natlan character designs, on top of being colourist/racist to repeatedly exclude darker skin tones on everyone but enemies, it also just doesn't make sense for the region like "immersive storytelling" why the fuck is that twink reflecting 200,000 lumens off his skin when he lives in a region based off south america/africa not only does it break the suspension of disbelief but I also can't see my screen because his skin glare is vaporising my retinas

another fun fact: marshall can beat lime in a fight BUT only if hes buffed by mochi or another one of the top 5 witches
#as a white canvas he can soak up magic like a SPONGE baby#can take whatever buffing spell mochi wants to put on him#speed/strength/def/skill boost up the ass#combined with the m-34th training hes so powerful#against someone non-magic (like lime) the amount of buffs he gets can out-class him#things that piss lime off number 84392#and mindful that the potion effects are time-limited with stronger potions = less time#but during that short timespan.....boy oh boy#i think he could actually take a temporary res potion too to masquerade as a black canvas for a short time#but if he does that he cant have any other potion buffs#if hes fighting a magic user its a different story. he would need the res potion more than the buffs if he doesnt have some kind of shield#because one magic hit is all it takes to down him#so i guess the marshall strat changes depending on the opponent. magic = res potion and non-magic = buff potions

as much as i dislike a lot of the backstory re-writes in darkest dungeon 2, i still think it's cute that plague doctor loses stress when she sees her professor cough up blood. you can take the freak actions away from the scientist but you cannot take away the freak behaviour.

'pd frankensteins her professor in dd2 how is that not freak action' well you see#the original comic heavily implies she tested poisons on him and then dissected his body once he died to check the results#and i miss that version of her so much#anyways. enabled cheats on my game file so i could increase the anim speed by 1.5x and it's now way more bearable to sit through#i hear that the game is a lot more fun once you unlock everything so. im brute-forcing it#that said. i will never forgive red hook for. so many of these writing choices. and honestly also the game design choices#not even going to get the dlc. the hasty add-in crusader is nothing to me. red hook you should AT LEAST stick to your guns and keep him MIA#BUT LIKE WHATEVER. good for the crusader fans i guess#i get to see jester do his gay little poses whenever he gets buffed so i guess we all have our own wins#beepbeep.txt#darkest dungeon

Man, I feel very "old man yells at clouds/back in my days" right now, but powercreep has made the game so... unfun.
Sure it's nice to do things faster when you're in a hurry, but when all challenge in open world group fights is gone and meta bosses melt in less than 2 minutes...
I don't want to play an autoclicker when I open gw2, but it's really starting to feel like it.
#sure the return event is making it worse because maps are bursting with skilled players but last time it wasn't THIS bad#and NO I don't want to run a boon build just to get credit because I can't even TAG enemies ffs#I shouldn't have to use the skyscale fireball in HOPES of tagging something because it dies before I can even register it's there#and again I'll die on the hill that the JW warclaw is too OP for the health of the game#maybe hot take: builds shouldn't do more than 40k even when it's one that you need skills to pull it off. 30k for dps is FINE.#current balance team is doing many good things but they absolutely have to nerf damage across the board ffs#and buffing health bars isn't the answer#Skye says stuff
