So, you've probably been asked what your favorite bug is already, so let's change things up. What's your least favorite and why? Curious to see what weirdly specific rant will come from this :)

hmm my least favorite bug would have to be cockroaches!

Side note: I have actually done the cockroach tag with my ocs and it reminded me of the horrible times I have encountered those bugs!

In one home I've been in, there was a cockroach infestation in the attic! They crawled on the ceilings and I feared they would fall on my face at night so I huddled under the sheets like a burrowing rabbit. No one was safe.

My college dorm (which I no longer live in, thankfully), was also visited by cockroaches, which made me quite paranoid! I would find them at the oddest hours: 7 am before leaving for class, 10pm right before bed, and 3 am when I turned the bathroom light on....

I contemplated sealing up the air vents (in my room at least), because that's where they came from. One time I awoke from my slumber to find a "dead" roach in the middle of my tiny room, but as you can probably already guess, it was alive and scurried away quickly. (But I did manage to reach it.)

They are horrifying and remind me of the times I couldn't even rely on the safety of my home to protect me from the horrors that lurk in the darkness hehehe!

Little bug tip: remember not to use bug spray in air vents because the fumes can hurt you! Try to get a professional if things get too out of hand!

Bug (4) is going to start school now so we’ve been doing literacy practice. One set of exercises was about “opposites” and I drew a card reading “fat”. Ok what’s the opposite of fat.

Bug thought about it and then said dreamily: “meat.”

Any tips for being a suicidal 15 year old?

When I was a suicidal 15 year old everyone told me “it gets better”, and it sounded like bullshit. And frankly, it still sounds like bullshit. Like oh, what, I’m living in hell and you’re not gonna help me or *do* anything or give me any useful advice and I’m supposed to just hang in there on the nebulous, pithy promise that things are just gonna work out on their own? And you can’t tell me how or why, I’m just supposed to take it on the faith that I don’t have that something might change in ways I haven’t considered?

But yeah. It does. And it’s frustrating as hell.

Yes, things are gonna get better, and they’re gonna get better in ways I can’t describe even after experiencing it myself. Things you don’t even know CAN be different WILL be different. One day you’re just going to step outside and realize things got better somewhere and you didn’t even notice it happening.

And there’s really nothing I can say that makes that sound even a little bit believable.

I guess all I can tell you is that you have to want to believe it.

Big things happening

I have no problem with slice-of-life AUs, but it bugs me when they don't try hard enough to adapt the characters' whole deal to the new milieu. "Samus Aran would be a gym instructor" nah, man – think pest control. She used to work for one of the big outfits in town, but she was forced to go freelance after that one lady's house burned to the ground during a routine bedbug fumigation. Officially it wasn't her fault – the client didn't properly disclose what kind of chemicals she was keeping in her basement – but word gets around, you know?
