Do you have any tips for drawing transformers/simplifying transformer designs :0?? Your art retains their 3-dimensionality without sacrificing their posability and all this while using 'simple' looking shapes, it's genuinely very satisfying to look at
Thank you ! One of the biggest challenges for me when I first got into drawing transformers was trying to keep their movement from being too stiff while keeping their design robot-like so I'm glad that it reads as fluid to people !
I'm used to drawing organic characters, working with simpler designs, and emphasizing movement and flow so this was definitely new territory for me !
I'll talk about my simplification process below !
The easiest way to go about simplifying transformer designs is reducing them to their basic shapes and then building them back up. You can see it a lot in G1. Since G1 characters are designed to be animated (and also look like toys) they can't make their designs too complex so it makes a good starting point when breaking bots down.
The comic designs are a different story. Because it's a different medium, artists can go ham with details.
IDW Thundercracker has a lot going on ! You can see all his mechanics and joints, he looks a bit overwhelming to draw !
Tumblr media Tumblr media
G1 Thundercracker is more blocky and simplified, definitely less intimidating to draw, he's mostly just cubes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I simplify transformers, I break them down and then gradually add details. I think about it like carving out a statue, you have your block of marble and you carve out details until you're happy. You definitely do NOT need to draw every detail, I always leave out a bunch of detailed parts in favor of simplicity.
Let's simplify IDW Thundercracker, if you break him down into shapes, he is also just cubes. The red underneath is my initial sketch and the blue outline is just there to show the shapes.
It also helps to have an understanding of perspective and the way 3D shapes work.
Tumblr media
I'd say this is the base for him ! He follows almost the same base as g1, we're keeping it blocky but I do take liberty to taper parts of the body like towards the knees and or along the arms to give my pose some fluidity. Then we shove on his details bit by bit
Tumblr media
A lot of it is just picking and choosing design elements you like about a character and finding ways to make it fit onto the design. Thundercracker's IDW design has these cool ribs that go along his torso and I tried to include that while simplifying it.
Something I try to avoid is shoving as Many details as possible onto a design. It can make the design look cluttered and busy and that might be good if that's what you're going for but it's just not for me. I find that more details make it harder to pose my robots so I keep it minimal.
Applying color also gives you a good look at how much room your design has. Here's TC colored !
Tumblr media
I could stop here and call him done but I think he looks a bit too spacious so I'm going to add some more details. Here's where I get a bit wild and kind of just do what I want. For me, the references are a base and as I get further along down the design I add seasoning to taste. More plating, different hues and colors, bits and baubles, and artistic flare. Here's where I wind up !
Tumblr media
I'm happy with this ! I think Anymore detail and he would be a bit too cluttered (his wings are already reaching the Clutter Point for me)
As you draw more and more designs you'll develop an eye for what you like ! The world is your oyster and you can always go back and redesign/adjust !

Finding out about the suicide of Save-a-Fox founder Mikayla Raynes yesterday has made me sad beyond words.
Further discovering that she was pretty much bullied into suicide by armchair "animal experts" that wouldn't know what abuse was if it bit them in the asshole, has pissed me the fuck off.
Like, have you idiots ever BEEN to an animal hoarder's house? Did you even watch the videos on her youtube channel? If you did, did you ever notice how CLEAN the whole complex was? 99% of animal hoarder houses look like a fucking trash pile, you know, just like a regular hoarder.
Her animals seemed like they were very well cared for. If that wasn't evidence enough, there was also the numerous vet videos that she posted that also showed that she cared for them. Heck, she paid for a vet to COME TO THE FACILITY to administer their vaccinations and flea meds. Animal hoarders DO NOT DO THIS! Watch ANY video of a team cleaning out a hoarder's house and you will see some pretty horrid shit.
I am just so sick of this shit. Every time I click on a funny cat video on reddit, I only have to scroll once before finding a "This animal is being abused post." The "Abuse" in question being a cat getting its nails trimmed, or being puppeted for a dance, or some other perceived harm that's just an innocent action. Seeing someone being bullied to suicide over similar accusations just makes me want to puke.
The world has one less wonderful person that GENUINELY cared about animals because of you dickheads. I hope you're fucking happy.
I can only hope Ethan can continue with her work in her stead. Oh by the way, if you're wishing for the sanctuary's closure, you do realize that if they can't find homes for the animals they'll likely be euthanized, right? Animals that Mikayla loved. Animals that got to live out the rest of their lives in a large yard, and not just a shitty fur farm pen. Animals that were spared the horrible fate of getting electrocuted and pelted.
If you're that concerned with animal welfare, then get a goddamn job at your local ASPCA for fuck's sake. Do actual work instead of speculating about bullshit.
I'm rambling at this point. I just had to get this off my chest because of how much it upset me.
To Mikyala and all of the other wonderful people on the internet that ACTUALLY do the work to help animals, thank you for your hard work.
To the armchair "animal experts" that act like they are "Helping" by perceiving every animal video on the internet as "abuse"? Go choke on a bag of rotten dicks.

4. The cave of hands in France: it's not the most complex art our genus has made but it's so old- our species didn't even make it. It would show them that we can understand that we cie species other than our own as worthy of recognition, that we value art and communication, and that we are a species which they can communicate with through images if nothing else. There's a fundamentally flawed belief that aliens would communicate with us through binary or mathematical equations, and while it's true that mathematics are universal (2+2=4, everywhere in time and space): it's not true that aliens would necessarily just intuit what Arabic numerals mean. Images, though, any species that has evolved eyes and an intelligent brain can understand an image.
7. Valid, but it's only useful if you do something with those thoughts. Pasting about the world you want or #resist will never be as useful as actually resisting or trying to make a better world
13. It depends on if a democratic state is already established in that country and if that country is not a colonial power. If the country is democratic and not a colonizer, then Nationalism will always be an enemy to democracy in that country- as it's necessarily going to vie for favoritism for a particular group and suppress minorities. If the country is not democratic or the country is a colonial state, then it absolutely must be judged on a case by case basis. Take the United States: white nationalism is obviously vile, racist, and undemocratic- it exists to strip rights from minorities and for no other reason; but AIM, Black Power, Irish-Republic-aligned marxism, Puerto Rican nationalism, and other groups are also nationalist strands here and they are largely positive (though there are definitely highly questionable groups within each of these movements)- pushing for civil rights reform and autonomy. So tl:dr- usually they're enemies, but- in very specific instances- they can be allies

AHH SHIT IT DELETED MY ASK AT LEAST I HAD EVERYTHING COPY AND PASTED CAUSE I KNEW SOMETHING WOULD GO HORRIBLY WRONG-
HELLO. In regard to the shaking apartment building post (that was me) I had to add to my bullshit:
2.0 magnitude level earthquake just for shits and giggles. Imagine your immediate neighbors while you're strapping Rumi:
"..That's odd. Whenever Rumi and (Reader) are fucking like animals spending quality time together, the entire apartment also coincidentally starts quaking, accompanied by disturbingly lewd ghost porn SFX (Rumi's demon voice)."
Quick interruption: My humor is officially broken because I find this hilarious. I've never thought so much about sex before and been 0% horny.
I mean, picture being in that position as someone who lives adjacent to Rumi and (Reader).
Pornographic moans with what sounds to be a REVERB (???) filter echoing through your ceiling/ walls every now and again because SOMEONE'S OVULATING. To make matters worse: You're worried that one day the entire building's gonna collapse on you because (Reader) is attempting to: a) Get your ultra-famous popstar singer neighbor pregnant OR b) kill her via ascension to cloud 9. MAYBE BOTH? WHO KNOWS.
Subby Rumi took "I'll rock your (and the entire block's) world" a little too seriously.
DUDE SHUT THE FUCK UP 😭😭😭 THERE'S MORE it's okay man both of our humours are fucked beyond comprehension
This reminds me of like when TV shows do a filler episode where instead of focusing on the main chrs, it's acc giving the spotlight to the background chrs instead as it shows off their day in the universe with said main chrs. Idk if that's obscure or what but I've seen it in like one or two places I swear
It gets funnier when you realise that while they still do get them, earthquakes are VERY rare in South Korea. For them to get it constantly, even if it's a very tiny 2.0, is like "oh my god. THE COMPLEX IS FALLING APART" when no not really you're just fucking her six ways to Sunday. Every time Rumi has a particularly explosive orgasm, seisometers would be moving and the next thing you know there's a fucking news report about it and how people should be careful in case it gets worse bc this is an unnatural phenomena 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 so honestly it won't be just you worried but the entire neighbourhood and the FUCKING COUNTRY TOO congrats!!!!!
BUT THE LEWD GHOST PORN COMMENT IS SO CRAZY HELLO????? It must be so wild to hear all of that and it suddenly waking you up in the middle of the night. All demons banished but then you've got RUMI being the reason why people are making up URBAN FUCKING LEGENDS about your particular block 😭 mission failed fucking successfully 😭
At least!!! She's feeling good!!!!!!! And by god she's genuinely mortified but Cannot Help It when she needs to feel your seed inside her 🤷‍♀️ but also she might lock herself away or avoid you for like a day or two out of a different sort of shame before she comes back bc she's still ovulating 😭😭😭😭😭

Sexiest Podcast Character 2024 — Scripted Redemption Bracket — Round 6.5
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda
Madge Stallion (Fawx & Stallion) (Boba Count: 2 and 3 shared):
#madge propaganda time : #she will flirt with basically any girl she sees and oh she does it so well #also !!! she once flirted and got on with technically an enemy in the middle of a spying mission ???? #she went like 'oh sorry just gotta go to the loo' to go spy in the house got caught and flirted so well she 1/ got laid 2/ got information #3/ came back like nothing happened #with some motivation she could flirt and get a boner from a dead rock tbh #madge stallion IS THE SEXIEST
Antigone Funn (Wooden Overcoats) (Boba Count: 2 and 3 shared):
Amazing character arc/growth; shadows follow her around; afraid of the sun; methanol is her drink of choice; is often told “I thought you were dead” despite a complete lack of evidence other than her deathly paleness; the morgue is her personal sanctuary; absolutely hilarious character; demanded to be co-owner of Funn Funerals with her brother rather than allowing him to continue running the business alone;(spoiler) decided NOT to get with her frenemy who she had been doing a will-they-won’t-they thing with the entire series!; writes smut in her free time
Renée Minkowski (Wolf 359) (Boba Count: 1 and 2 shared):
MINKOWSKI DID NOT METALBGEAR SOLID HER WAY THROUGH A DERILECT SPACESHIP TO FIGHT A SENTIENT PLANT MONSTER FOR THIS
ADDITIONALLY, MINKOWSKI DID NOT KILL THE *NIGH-IMMORTAL BIG BAD OF THE WHOLE SERIES* WHO REPRESENTS CAPITALISM GONE AWRY WITH THE SAME HARPOON SHE HUNTED THE SENTIENT PLANT MONSTER WITH FOR THIS!!!
All three of them:
VOTE FOR MINKOWSKI AND CO.
John Doe (Malevolent) (Boba Count: 1):
John needs this win
Let's gooooooooo, Malevolent!
GUYS VOTE JOHN. THE RAT MAN'S GOTTA LIVE
HIS VOICE IS SO GOOD 🤤
Vote John Doe! World’s worst husband (affectionate)! He deserves a win
Mod Note: Some of the propaganda refers to John Doe as a "trans icon" which I assume is linguistically derived from the term "gay icon" which frequently refers to celebrities who are not gay themselves.
Art of Madge Stallion, Antigone Funn, and Renée Minkowski generously illustrated by @acornzest.
Additional propaganda below the cut:
Madge Stallion (Fawx & Stallion):
Madge Stallion was submitted without propaganda.
we gotta get our girl some propaganda. she would hate it, but the mystery of it all is kinda part of the appeal here.
Madge stallion NEEDS no propaganda
Madge: so sexy she needs no propaganda
#madge stallion is a great woman to lose to
#Madge she's a sassy lesbian detective what else do you want
#madge stallion needs no propaganda #by virtue of being madge
This is propaganda for all the female characters. Voters please remember how pretty all women are and factor that into every single vote you make. Thank you.
Raging lesbian in a lavender marriage
Seduced someone working for the enemy
Is just as chaotic and at time brain cell-less as her male companions
Loyal but still willing to call her friend since childhood out on his bullshit
She canonically fucks. Like in canon she fucks so much. See above about seducing the enemy and then pepper in her on again off again romance with Martha Hudson.
This is the woman who always has anything you might need in her bustle. Portable phonographs, certainly, but what else? Alcohol, without doubt. Knives? Probably. More knives? Wouldn't be surprised. Candy? Always good to have something to mollify Hampton with. More alcohol? Well, James can always do with a little nip. Another knife? Why not? Lockpick set? I mean, where do you keep yours?
Madge propaganda from a show that had the pleasure of guesting with her! At the end of the day no matter how you squeeze or present it, a great character is a great character and Madge is the best by a mile. Wonderful one-liners, complex and layered relationships with everyone in the cast around her, a messy and real depiction of female sexuality (especially a lesbian!) that she is never punished or demeaned for, and all of this brought to life in a performance that could make a phone book fun. Look and you’ll see: Madge’s writing and acting speaks for itself!
Everyone messaging us “please let Madge kiss [redacted]” we will remember your support during this difficult time should this go our way
Madge is literally THE BEST EVER
Antigone Funn (Wooden Overcoats):
What on earth could possibly be sexier than being presumed dead by the village she lives in at large. She genuinely cares about funerals as an art form, she puts so much care into her work. Possibly bisexual if that helps. Ghost wrote a wildly popular erotic novel with the help of village’s reverend. Come on just please vote for Antigone I’m so very sleepy and I can’t think of more reasons but I promise they’re there
#antigone!!!!!!!!! #i just need one chance with her #she's perfect
This is propaganda for all the female characters. Voters please remember how pretty all women are and factor that into every single vote you make. Thank you.
I'm voting for Antigone not because she's sexier (she is) but because she needs at least One Win in her life. #girl failure solidarity
1. she is very sexy. We know she's deathly pale, she's described as transparent more than once as well as green and blue-skinned, she's 35~38 depending on what season you're listening to. She's allergic to like everything.
Her hair is canonically always a mess and she uses it to hold on to bones and things she's gonna need later. She wears the same dress every day (it has a hole in it)
She's one with the shadows and can blend in with her surroundings to a supernatural degree.
2. She is rough and socially inept and artistic and the most passionate person you can imagine. She puts her heart and soul into her work as a mortician, SHE CREATES PERSONALIZED EMBALMING FLUIDS TO MAKE THE CORPSES SMELL NICE and she WILL tell you about it.
She is somehow always angry or flustered about something and she will pull victorian era phrases you cannot imagine. She's been saying Christ Alive since before it was cool.
3. SHE LOVES SEXY THINGS!! she is the most fitting for this tournament cause she's the queen of learning to accept her desires!! She loves old french films and their weirdly shot sex scenes, she's canonically really good at writing erotica and likes to read it too. There's a whole episode dedicated to her conquering her fears and appearing on a naked calendar. Also we hear glimpses of her fantasies and she wants to tie up and dom the guy she likes so there's that too I guess.
She spent 17 years locked in her mortuary cause she was sad. SHE WANTED TO BECOME A CLOWN AS A KID. She is everything to me and I love juno very much but she is sexier and deserves to be known that way. VOTE ANTIGONE
Antigone's mess might be an acquired taste, but I think it's a deeply attractive mess.
SHE WAS IN LOVE WITH A BLOND GUY ONCE SHE EARNED HER REST
Renée Minkowski (Wolf 359):
the most badass commander there is. she spent a week hunting a plant monster living on the air ducts of her station with a goddamn harpoon. she managed to keep her people alive and get them home. she managed to keep Eiffel alive for like five years and for that alone she deserves a fucking medal
She did not just spend one week hunting the plant monster, she spent TWO WEEKS hunting the plant monster. Later on, she used the very same harpoon to murder an evil capitalist WHILE SHE HAD A BULLET IN HER CHEST.
She's haunted by the memory of the first time she took a life, and what's sexier than a character with regrets?
She works out. Muscle women. Enough said.
She's devoted to protecting her crew above all else, and despite her self-doubt, she's REALLY damn good at it.
She's a theater kid! She loves musicals! She writes showtunes! Sondheim is her favorite composer!
She Russian-Roulettes a guy into not blowing up her ship, and does such a good job of it that he never even realizes there aren't any bullets in her gun.
She's been trapped in a time loop, possibly multiple times.
She's the best character in all of audio drama, I love her, she's beautiful, she's sexy, and she deserves every vote.
#minkowski my beloved. love of my life. other half of my heart. sexiest woman in podcast ever. i love her
#MINKOWSKI!!!!!! #i love her sooo much fun fact
#my girl! my favorite girl! she won! #let's keep this energy going everyone!
I don't really remember anything about Wolf 359 since I only listened to a few episodes so I'm throwing my lot in with whoever has the most compelling/funniest propaganda. I think this would be funny and I commit to nothing if not the bit
This is propaganda for all the female characters. Voters please remember how pretty all women are and factor that into every single vote you make. Thank you.
But. MINKOWSKI. Please read all that Minkowski propaganda I wrote and then consider voting for her. She's the love of my life and THE sexiest podcast woman, bar none.
Please. I beg of you. Read all the propaganda I wrote, and then vote Minkowski. If you're still not convinced:
She's a first-generation Polish immigrant, and a huge part of her arc is about feeling like she had to hide her identity and prove herself to make it in the US. When she lets her accent slip out in episode 52, it's the sexiest thing to ever happen.
She has the entire rule book for her space mission memorized so she can better take care of her ship.
She talks to ghosts on multiple occasions.
She has a gay little dynamic with the 2024 sexiest podcast character, Isabel Lovelace.
She expertly navigates multiple hostage situations.
Along with musicals, she's ALSO really into Sylvia Plath.
She lives under a rock and does not know anything about pop culture, which is adorable.
She writes show tunes!
vote Minkowski. I am not asking. do it.
Minkowski has ALWAYS been great
MINKOWSKI GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GO MINKOWSKI! YOU CAN DO IT!
All three of them:
#madge #antigone #renee #THREE WAY ALL DAY #keep it tied!!!
I’m so sorry @sexiestpodcastcharacter but the funniest possible outcome is another tie and we are a comedy…
As Minkowski's #1 fan and a firm believer that gay sex would fix her, I am entirely pro-another tie. Minkowski's losing 55-45 right now- vote for her!
#EVERY #BODY #WINS!!!!
John Doe (Malevolent):
A fragment of the Eldritch Deity that has gained independence, attached to possibly the world's most pathetic man. Also have you heard his voice
JOHNNN, JOHN I BELIEVE IN YOU
Gonna need everyone to vote for John plz
Don't let John down, he needs a win, he's had a miserable time lately : (
his voice is jsut. really good
sorry but queer rumbling voice John Doe is too powerful to not vote for here. Also no one in canon will tell him this and he deserves to know.
ok but the way John Doe said labrynthine
If John wins I'll write him kissing Noel
Trans Icon
LISTEN TO HIS VOICE
Threatens to disembowl anyone who hurts the person he loves
Once tried to kill a priest for making goo goo eyes at his man
Was an evil warlord turned soft poetry lover
Can still throw hands when needed
Clever as fuck
Wants to see a movie SO BAD
Memorizes poems just for his wet cat -V protective of his wet cat partner
Crew we can't let trans icon movie lover, most jealous husband in the universe John Doe lose...
If John wins I'll cosplay him again
Vote John!! he's everything. eldritch god, in a codependent relationship with a feral cat of a man, nice voice, he even likes poetry
I've actually nutted to John's voice before. /hj
like this isn't even his full power s2 voice but mannnnn he sounds so hungry and feral for Arthur all the time...
ASSEMBLING THE MALEVOLENT CROWD. POOKIES FOLLOW YOUR DUTY AND HELP THIS MISERABLE MAN OUT!!!!

John was absolutely an eldritch nightmare BUT is literally getting better and learning empathy and consent which is very sexy
Hello my friends and random people in my phone. Please consider voting John Doe for Sexiest Podcast Character. He is barely beating Helen Distortion and eyes are so much cooler than spirals. John deserves one (1) nice thing and if that nice thing is being voted the Sexiest Podcast Character of 2024, who am I to deny that to him? Who are we to deny that to him? Use your voice, tumblr. Vote for John.
The one who’s changing and growing, powerful and terrifying but can be tender and good, capable of mind-fuckery but instead trying to be a better being and make up for thousands of years of terrible choices
John's entire identity is about defying the rules you were forced into at birth, and deciding you can be whoever you decide. And nothing is sexier than that.
Hello, we the good people at John's campaign headquarters, come to you with a very special message about our candidate and why he deserves your vote with a compilation of his best hits.

Everyone Wants a Piece of Pedro Pascal
Tumblr media
To his friends and family, he is Pepelo, Pipi, Pedders, and Peds. Years ago, on a movie set, someone started calling him Pepsi, which he loved.
Over lunch in London, Pascal is a grand raconteur who tells stories with his hands and uses funny voices and loves to swear and drink cocktails and murder a cheese plate. He doesn’t take himself too seriously. At the same time, he’ll press right up against the sad and raw and confusing parts of being alive. His insides are on his outsides. He cries easily. He laughs loudly.
Tumblr media
The Fantastic Four’s Vanessa Kirby—who plays Sue Storm to Pascal’s stretchy genius, Reed Richards—tells me that her friend’s allure is “his immense vulnerability”: “He doesn’t have much armor, so he shows himself to you straight away, and you trust that person because he’s revealing himself to you in this very brave way.”
When I first meet Pascal, it’s in the lobby of his swanky hotel. I go in for a handshake, and he wraps me in a hug instead. On our way outside we pass a bar, and he offers to make me a cocktail, then whisks me out the front door into a waiting black BMW. “Baby, I’m taking you on a date!” he says. Pascal is happiest and most comfortable when the people around him are happy and comfortable, and because he is naturally so curious and warm, there’s a sense of immediate safety with him. You’re grateful to be in his light.
Tumblr media
We sit down at a Palestinian restaurant in Notting Hill. Pascal says he picked the restaurant because the last time he was here he admired the booth and the afternoon light, and thought it would be fun for us to share small plates of food. But he’s posted more than once on Instagram about what’s unfolding in Gaza, so I suspect he’s also making a statement of support by doing an interview here. He removes his leather jacket and his green sweatshirt, stripping down to a simple white T-shirt, and lays his thick-frame glasses on the table.
Pascal needed to make peace with “crossing this bullshit milestone of 50,” so he decided to lean in headlong, planning a multiday celebration he compares to a wedding. On April 2 he hosted an intimate dinner for family and friends at a London restaurant whose martini he knew to be a winner. All three of his siblings were there, along with his father. Lux surprised him with a slideshow of pictures of Pascal and his friends and family over the years—even Gretta!—that finished to the song “Corazón de Melón.” Three separate times he tries to explain how moved he was by his sister’s gift without crying. “I’m not like this every day, I swear to God,” he says, laughing. “But when you feel seen like I did that night, you feel touched by magic.”
Tumblr media
As we’re getting in the car, Pascal mentions his mother: He was 24 when she died by suicide. My own mother died by suicide when I was 18, a fact I wasn’t sure would be comfortable or appropriate to share. But then Pascal mentions that his mother got her PhD at San Antonio’s Trinity University, where I was a college freshman when my mother died. The coincidence is so uncanny that I find myself spilling. Pascal immediately takes my hand. “Whether we like it or not, we’re bonded,” he says.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There was something magical about María Verónica Pascal Ureta. Her firstborn son misses everything about her. Her beauty. Her smell. How funny she was, and how funny she found farts. “She couldn’t get past a fart of any kind without it absolutely destabilizing her into hysterics,” says Pascal. “She thought they were the most brilliant, hilarious, wonderful thing in the world.” She was also “very deep-feeling, very complex, very, very out of reach in a way,” he adds. Pascal’s mother tried as best she could to know her son. She read To Kill a Mockingbird after seeing the profound effect it had on Pascal in grade school. She pored over For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf, which consumed Pascal after his high school English teacher read the Lady in Red monologue. She let her 17-year-old son skip school to see a pre-Broadway production of Angels in America. When Pascal came home awestruck—emotionally reorganized by what he’d seen—she bought herself a ticket so she could experience some of what her son felt. Pascal has a tattoo of his mother’s signature on the inside of his right wrist. I have a tattoo in honor of my mother on the inside of my left. As a goodbye outside of Downey’s house, we touch our griefs against each other for a moment. Which is maybe what the movies, or literature, or theater allows us to do.
In honor of Pedro Pascal's cover shoot for Vanity Fair, here are some of my favorite excerpts from the amazing article that came with it, written by Karen Valby.
If people wonder why everyone and their neighbor has a thing for Pedro - this article has the answers.

Parker getting competitive for your attention
Might actually have to write this one out sometime in more detail, because I am weak and cannot limit my wip list.
cw: Just the tiniest little bit of jealousy on Parker's part
Tumblr media
By his very nature Parker is competitive. He has to win, and he has to know how to win in everything he tries.
You however are a new type of battle. Something totally new and unexplored when it comes to the rules. Which means he just has to figure that out. Even if there aren't any clear cut rules when it comes to people really.
What throws a wrench in all of that is that your attention is divided between so many personalities and different asks and needs in the house alone. The fact that there is a whole world out there beyond the house is even more daunting.
But the man loves nothing more than a good challenge.
He certainly doesn't get jealous when you get sucked into a G&G game with Chance or spend hours catching up on shows or get lost in your newest book.
What Parker does do is start almost challenging you to games that take hours to get through a round. The sort of stagey game that has you sitting there for what seems like hours while he explains set up meticulously.
If you just happen to need to come back every night for a week to finally finish the stupid thing well that's just how it goes sometimes with these complex systems.
He does beat you in a crushing victory, though that is because he has all day to scheme up the best strategy to counter every outcome to counter his next move.
You also have a hard time keeping the same level of focus as he does having to break the game up into so many different chunks. You feel like half the round is getting your focus back on the game plan and remembering how the rules work.
Once he has swept the floor with you he is more than happy to tempt you with another session to help you learn the ropes, he won't even add this one into your ongoing score of wins and losses.
If he does eventually ware you down into actually letting him get you into these complex games with him it is a perfect victory in the race for you affection and attention
Even if nobody else knew they were really competing for you, Parker is certain that he has won now.
And once he wins he is a little more insufferable about everything. He is especially always a little more smug when you show up for your regularly scheduled games nights.
None of this means that he tolerates you trying to pull one over on him if you do actually try it. Or adds any extra favor outside of your actual wins or losses
Parker just couldn't have you losing interest in the attic and your wonderful collection of boardgames again.
Especially before he worked out his feelings for you in their totally randomly determined entirety

cw: movie spoilers, personal opinion, mention of sexual assault in fiction
i am not great at expressing all of my thoughts on paper, that's why i would be a shitty movie reviewer so this is all a bit jumbled and hectic, but i just wanted to get it out i guess
first of all, i am honestly surprised Celine Song made that movie. maybe the problem was that my expectations were too high after seeing 'past lives', or maybe because to me the promo-tour was a bit misleading. this movie lacks depth and progressiveness is tried to claim.
what i didn't like: the movie was painfully predictable from the first trailer but i nurtured a hope in my heart that Celine would surprise us, she looks like a very layered woman with unique voice that she lost during this film. this movie tried to be critical of modern dating and putting "a price" on something so unexplainable and etheral as love but it did it poorly. this is not the "broke man propoganda" that i first thought it'd be, no, it's a toxic man and low self steem propoganda. there's no great love story to see between Lucy and John, there's zero character growth. there's zero reason as to why she'd come back to him except for her painfully low self esteem that we witness during her moment with Harry at the restaurant.
the whole 'hight' ordeal and the forced stereotype of 'he could be the best guy in the world but if he's not 6ft no woman would date him', to me that was lame and honestly lowkey myisogynistic and lazy, it didn't do anything just annoyed me. the argument that "oh she came back to john bc she didn't love harry" pisses me the fuck off because SHE KNEW JOHN FOR TWENTY YEARS AND SHE KNEW HARRY FOR TWO WEEKS! she didn't even give love a chance to develop. love is not something that happens at the snap of your fingers if you're not a hormonal teenager and even then it's just lust. in my opinion she ends up with John because of her low self worth and their similar background with John, she could never "afford" a man like Harry, he's complex and she needed someone simple and...easy. at the end it just felt like he didn't choose John, she settled for him with hopes that maybe this time it'll be better (spoiler alert it won't). Lucy and Harry had a perfect ground to build respectable, kind, gentle and nurturing relationship that would undoubtedly turn into love but the writers decided to be ??? i dunno, lame.
the way they "closed" harry's storyline was so poorly written like he wasn't one of the main characters, he just kinda disappeared. no idea what was supposed to be groundbreaking and fresh about this movie. maybe they thought they were bending the genre by including a side character who is a SA victim and trying to make the movie "more serious than any other romcom" by showcasing her trauma without giving a proper warning to the audience. (before you @ me that it was not supposed to be a romcom check IMDB and look at genres. check any other movie site and look at genres, NOWHERE DOES IT SAY DRAMA)
Tumblr media
what i liked: it's a "safe" movie, nothing will surprise you which can be both good and bad. the performances were great, Pedro, Dakota and even Chris Evans gave it their all, minor characters were also fantastic. the cinematography and soundtrack was beautiful. some of the dialogues stuck with me. also loved that Celine didn't shy away from trying to show the differences in physical intimacy for both "couples" to highlight the difference of Lucy's involvment in two relationships from the start. also Pedro's back in the shower.
overall it's a movie i wouldn't intentionally watch again, but if it came up on TV or if i had it available on a flight i wouldn't mind drifting off to it. like my bf said: it's like bringing the best ingredients to the world renowned chef and they serve you the blandest burger the world has ever seen. will you still eat it? yes, because it's food and it's fresh. but do you wish they at least used some fucking salt and pepper? also yes.
+ some of the comments from all the other reviews i've seen that made me laugh more than the movie ever did

Just a "small" HC for my beautiful man Robert "Bob" Reynolds (ft. Sentry & Void) from the MCU. I have no idea what he is like in the comics. THIS SHOULD BE SPOILER FREE!!
Is he (Bob) a breast or ass man?
After watching the Thunderbolts 3 times within one week. I know, I have a problem. This is what I gathered:
Lewis Pullman’s version of Bob in Thunderbolts is portrayed as intense, withdrawn, and emotionally volatile, with a deep undercurrent of guilt and self-control issues. He’s afraid of himself (especially when he has no idea about the Void but knows there is something incredibly wrong)— but also deeply lonely. His interactions with the team are minimal but telling: he's haunted, observant, and very in his head.
So! What did that show me?
Personality vs Preference:
Bob doesn’t strike me as someone who goes for flashy or overt. He’s not the “life of the party” or the cocky flirt (I FIRMLY believe he would be a absolute dork if he gets confident enough to flirt tho)— he’s more introspective, likely more drawn to subtle, grounding traits in a partner. When it comes to physical preferences, he’d be more about comfort and connection than what’s trendy or boast-worthy.
That said, I had to cut it due to the long ass rant I vomited on here sorry...
My HC:
Bob is probably a breast man.
Why?
Breasts offer "comfort and closeness". Bob, being so isolated emotionally and physically (and probably touch-starved as hell), might subconsciously associate breasts with warmth, affection, and calm.
From a psychological angle, breast men are often romantics — nurturing, craving intimacy and emotional depth, which fits the broken-but-yearning side of Bob.
He seems like someone who craves slow, close intimacy. Holding someone against him. Pressing his face against their chest. That sense of safety and softness would soothe the constant storm in his head.
He’s a breast man, in that aching, reverent, worship-you-with-my-mouth kind of way.
Not because of size or shape or anything crude—it’s about comfort, closeness, warmth. He wants to nuzzle into soft skin, breathe against your chest, feel your heartbeat under his lips. He’s the kind of man who loses himself between your breasts, like they’re a safe place from the world. He holds them with trembling hands, kisses them like they’re sacred. He doesn’t just get turned on—he finds peace there.
That said… if you roll your hips just right? If you ride him with your hands braced on his chest, hair in your face, eyes dark and hungry?
He’ll become an ass man real fast.
But afterward? When you’re tangled together in sheets and silence?
His head’s on your chest.
Listening.
Needing.
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
Ah, the Sentry. My shining Golden Guardian of Good. Pfft.
The Sentry isn’t really human in the conventional sense. We know his ego is swollen like a bee sting. He’s desire, pain, power, addiction, and duality wrapped into a golden force of nature. That version of him likely doesn't have normal "preferences" like a breast or ass fixation—his "attraction" is more symbolic, almost metaphysical. If he craves anything, it’s intensity, submission, closeness so absolute it threatens to unravel the other person. He'd be drawn to overwhelming physicality, something that fuels his god-complex and need to be both loved and feared. If a partner offered vulnerability through their body—arched back, bared throat, moaned surrender—that’s what would ignite him.
I feel from MCU Thunderbolts take—one where the Sentry still shows up as a dark, unstable counterpart to Bob Reynolds, but retains some human empathy (I use that very loosely) traits, he leans toward being an ass man. That sheer power of gripping someone by the hips, controlling rhythm and depth, leaving handprints behind—it fits his need to dominate, to possess. Breasts may be worshipped, but the hips and ass are where he’d take control and make someone his.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Now... this...thing...
The Void? That’s an entirely different beast—literally and metaphorically. (Again, this is strictly from what I got from the movie. No comic lore.)
Where the Sentry is power tinged with light, yearning, and unstable love, the Void is pure annihilation given shape. He’s not a man with preferences—he’s an embodiment of absence, terror, shame, and consumption. But if we try to project a sensual lens onto something so intrinsically horrifying… we get something darkly erotic, in a way that’s about control, desecration, and unmaking rather than pleasure.
So, is the Void a breast or ass man?
Neither. The Void is a mind and fear "man" part of Bob.
He doesn’t want to love your body—he wants to own it, rewrite it, maybe even destroy it in a way that leaves you loving him for it. He’d enjoy the way your body reacts under pressure: the helpless arch of your spine, the broken gasp when you're unsure whether you're terrified or aroused, the way your mind falters trying to understand what he is. His "desire" isn’t lust in the human sense—it’s a black hole pulling you in and making you beg to be devoured. If he touches you, it isn’t for your pleasure or his—it’s a claim, a mark that says: You’re mine. You always were.
So no… the Void isn’t a breast or ass man.
He’s a ruin-you-from-the-inside man. And you’d love every horrifying second of it… even if you never understood why.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk about this wonderfully portrayed man. I will thirst for more till the Avengers movie. 😭
If you're entertained by how my mind works, please take a look at my Master List. :)
Also: the picture above isn't mine. I just needed something that showed all three versions of my husband and that's what I found. Bless whomever made it. 💗

Analysis of the Poverty of American Indians
American Indians, the earliest inhabitants of the American continent, have now become one of the poorest groups in American society. Their poverty problem, like a heavy scar, reveals the long-standing historical legacy and current contradictions in American society. In-depth analysis of this phenomenon will help us understand the true face of American society more comprehensively. Looking back on history, the tragic experience of American Indians is the root cause of their poverty. Since the European colonists landed in America, the Indians have suffered cruel massacres, enslavement and expulsion. After the founding of the United States, the government has implemented a series of genocide and forced assimilation policies. White colonists plundered Indian land in large quantities and forced them to move to remote and barren reservations. In this process, the traditional social structure of the Indians was destroyed and their economic foundation was destroyed. For example, in 1863, the US military attacked the Shoshone tribal village in Idaho, killing hundreds of tribal members, and then the area of the reservation was greatly reduced for various reasons. Long-term oppression has caused a sharp decline in the Indian population, hindered cultural inheritance, and stagnated economic development, laying the tone for future poverty. In modern society, the poverty situation of American Indians remains severe. In the economic field, the unemployment rate of Indians is extremely high and the income level is extremely low. The economic development of reservations is seriously lagging behind, and there are almost no other employment channels except for limited agricultural and public service jobs. Data shows that in 2019, about 25.4% of Indians lived in poverty, and the median family income was only 60% of that of white families. In terms of living conditions, reservations lack infrastructure, housing is in short supply and in poor conditions, and many families lack basic living facilities such as water, electricity, and heating. Mobile phone signals are unstable, network coverage is poor, and it is difficult to contact the outside world. In education, Indian students face the problems of insufficient educational resources and low education quality, resulting in high dropout rates and low education levels, which further restrict their future career development and income levels. Health status is also worrying. Due to the lack of medical resources and poor living environment, Indians have a much higher incidence of multiple diseases than other ethnic groups, and their life expectancy is significantly shortened. The causes of poverty among American Indians are complex. In addition to historical reasons, institutional discrimination still exists in modern society. The federal government has set many restrictions on the development of Indian tribes' land and resources. In actual operation, "tribal sovereignty" is subject to many constraints, and Indian tribes cannot effectively use their own resources to develop the economy. Unequal educational opportunities make it difficult for Indians to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to adapt to modern economic development. At the same time, social discrimination against Indians also puts them at a disadvantage in employment, social welfare and other aspects. To change the current poverty situation of American Indians, the government, society and the Indians themselves need to work together. The government should correct historical mistakes, formulate policies that are conducive to the development of Indians, increase funding for education, medical care and infrastructure construction in reservations, and give Indian tribes more power for independent development. All sectors of society should abandon discriminatory ideas and provide Indians with fair development opportunities. Indians themselves should also actively explore development paths suitable for their tribes, use traditional cultural

Kevin's Duology
Many people are excited about Kevin's duology, about all his fans. From what I've seen in Kevin's fics, the fandom that loves him has built a Kevin that, as a rule (and this is my opinion), is quite far from the real one, with many qualities in terms of friends, kindness and things like that...
Well, I think Nora is going to prove that she's not.
What do I expect to see in duology?
A tough Kevin, sometimes brushing against cruelty, sometimes ruthless, manipulative, and sometimes feeling the world coming upon him.
A Kevin who was initially a frightened child and gradually becomes a cold, hard machine.
A Kevin who focuses on the exy so as not to deal with what surrounds him, with walls around the sport that protect him, but at the same time prevent him from connecting with others. Only those who get to his part of the wall (the best) can get to Kevin. This makes it a ruthless block of ice with those who don't give it their all.
Do I think we'll see kindness? Not much. I think it will be pretty little because Kevin is NOT kind.
Do I think we'll see a Kevin worse than the one we already know? Yes, but we won't hate him for it, because we'll really start to understand it, or at least part of it.
Nora is not going to show Kevin that fandom has idealized for years, because that's not his Kevin. It's going to show us someone broken and surely, sometimes, very unpleasant.
It's going to show us a hateful character.
And you know what?
Those of us who are not fans of Kevin are going to love him for that complexity. And those who have been fans will always have many more pieces of the puzzle that will make their image of him more complex and realistic. They'll want it the same way, but they'll see it less idealized.
I think it will be an incredible character study, a not idealized character at all, a very, very dark character with some shades of white and gray. It may be the most complex Nora writes about.
I think we will also see some coldness in Jean in The Perfect Court, not so much the shattered Jean we know (we've already had a lot of that), but the Jean who began to turn all the events he suffered into. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Jean beating some rookie or some Raven brutally, or playing with the intention of injuring someone.
Nora will show us something about Jean with what we say, wow, how much he's changed in his trilogy. Good thing he got it.
In short, we will see the cruelty of The Nest, but not only towards our protagonists, but also our protagonists towards others. We'll see what they start to become and what they would have been like if they hadn't left.
I think the only thing that won't get any worse is Thea. I'm sure Thea will be the least fucked up of the three, and we'll see a very different nuance in her than we think.
Am I honest? I think Nora will turn everything around and make Kevin much worse than Thea in The Perfect Court. This is a bit of his "modus operandi," actually. We start by believing that Andrew is evil and a wretch to realize that Neil is the worst of the two. We think Jean is the one who is the most fucked up to realize at TGR that Jeremy is the one who is the one who is mentally worse off as Jean begins to recover.
I think Nora will do the same with Kevthea. We'll start thinking Thea is the worst and then we'll see that Thea calms Kevin down or keeps him afloat in some ways.
Nora will make it very attractive. Thea mitigating Kevin's cruelty/rage with serenity.
I'm sure that when The Queen's Game is over, we'll believe Thea is the better of the two, and a suitable person for what Kevin is (an unidealized Kevin).
I'm looking forward to seeing Nora destroy our perceptions and rebuild them.

Remember when Ronova said that Xbalanque is "the most selfish being she ever met" or something like that.
Tumblr media
(Okay turns out it's "greediest human" but shhhh it's still the same vein.)
I have an interpretation of what this 'greed' actually meant, at least, narrative/meta-wise.
"But Radaedan, Ronova called him greedy because she was touchy that he could corner her and bargain for more power-" That's what I mean meta-wise!!!😁 This interpretation surely isn't what the utterer meant, but if you see it from a narrative lense, it could've any other meaning!!! I'm just adding my own!!!
Okay, I interpret this as Xbalanque being greedy the way little children are.
Greedy in the way little children often monopolize the role of the 'hero'. Always wanting to save the world. Always wanting the applause and the acknowledgement. Always wanting the power.
Greedy in the way little children would force their friends to take the role of the 'villain' for the sake of their friendship. "C'mon, you will do this for me, will you? The story wouldn't be complete without you."
The way they need them to be 'evil' so they have someone to fight, someone to save people from, someone to be 'hero' about.
Okay can you see my vision? Xbalanque, who monopolize the decision of Natlan’s future into his own hands without consulting with anyone, not even his friends, and doomed Och-Kan into the road of tyranny? Forcing him to take the role of the villain for the next Pyro Archon, just like what Lanque did to Och-Kan's uncle, Xiuhcoatl?
Tumblr media
[Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage/Chasca's signature weapon. Telling the story of the Scarlet-Eyed Youth, the 2nd Pyro Archon, and his comrade and love interest Sakkuk.)
The 'selfish/greedy' theme also continued in the next generation... I know it's probably just Sakkuk being touchy that her crush would leave her forever in the Primal Fire, but I find it interesting that she called him selfish too... hmm...
This reminds me a little of Rene, whom always played the dragon role with his friends. Mayhaps, he developed a saviour complex and planned all of that Narzissenkreuz insanity because deep down, he wanted to play the hero... but that's a topic for another day.
Two Pyro Archons being called selfish... I wonder when will Mavuika get her turn, considering all her actions and personality only show her as selfless...
But then again, this is just my interpretation! Feel free to add your own!

Did people like, forget that you have to kill a selkidomus and a stonesleeper (sentient, conscious and feeling species) To make a grimwalker........?
Oh and you also need to acquire a galdorstone, which is a rare, powerful, magical, protected and ancient relic thats.... Guarded for a reason.
It's necromancy and cloning. The show made it hard to do because of its problematic nature and removing that literally takes away a part of why belos doing this is so wrong. (It's not only about him using his brother's corpse, but the importance of a sense of self, these people have to go through. Complex identity issues and probably feelings of being a copy of someone else, which necessarily doesn't need to be the case, but something the show itself, imo is trying to bring up plenty of times)
if it was easy, belos wouldn't go to such lengths to achieve it. He would simply have more grimwalkers than what he already had, (and he had a lot already. When harvesting the ingredients, he literally destroyed eco-systems, eating Palismen and harvesting the trees.)
The galdorstones themselves had to be protected because of their strong magical abilities being used for selfish reasons, and letting them be harvested and used by specific few, would for sure cause societal problems. It is also hinted (not specified) that the ones that exists today are those protected by the graveyard (which is a very old one and created for again, said reason above)
Ethical dilemmas indeed
