Big fan of stories where the character doesn’t realise their mind is processing great grief..

Been rotating an idea where tucker (inbetween the ending of restoration and post Canon) is living in a dream where everything’s back normal in blood gulch with his church and him hanging out. About the era where caboose is there but not completely integrated into the team yet.

And caboose acts as a “wake up call”, sometimes he’ll ruin tuckers fun by saying stuff in the most serious tone like “church is gone”, “this isn’t real”.

Of course tucker doesn’t believe it cause it’s caboose. But he knows caboose, even if technically in this time period he doesn’t know him at all yet. He just knows he’s not doing that thing where he fumbles and backtracks when he’s caught lying or when tucker calls him out on his bullshit. He’s not speaking the way he usually does. He’s speaking low, serious. Even when caboose is serious, he’s never this serious. Tone that is too calm for what is coming out of his mouth.

First pic was reffed from My Own Private Idaho, which ended up being a really bad idea because this focal length was ridiculous to try and flatten out and match with the others lol

Second pic was obvi The Pieta by Michelangelo, but shoutout to my partner for suggesting the role reversal cause I was initially gonna draw Viktor in Jayce's arms again, but having it the other way around gave me the idea for the last piece where they're mutually in each other's arms and on equal ground in the composition

Third pic was reffed from The Blossoming Of Love by Miquel Blay! Had to move Jayce's hand to Viktor's shoulder because he was too yolked for his arm to fit between them lmao
