OC list of fun facts and lore even tho no one give a fuck but thog dont car

it's actually german shepherds went west (GSWW) but i misspelled it the first few times and i can't be assed to go back and fixx all of my tagged posts

the actual stories occur in the following order: the gloam, GSWW, and cannibalistic pigeons (CanniPi). (although i'm trying to consider if these should be things that happen at the same time, just like in separate places, kinda like a sweet-tooth style narrative)

GSWW title came from the fact that there's a german shepherd named BB in the story. Spencer actually named her after a BB gun but Jordan ignores this fact and insists it means Baby. and guess what direction they go in at one point in the story. go on guess

BB eventually escapes and finds a new owner named Giana Crane (from cannibalistic pigeons). She sees the name on her collar and assumes it means Baby.

Giana loves that dog to death. She spends all her measly earnings on her and buys outfits for her (though BB hates them, it's the spirit of things that counts). Her doppelganger, Gigi, however hates BB since it was able to immediately tell that she was not Giana. BB is kept on small leash and in a way too small dog house. Paloma sees this and eventually finds a another owner for BB.

the gloam started off as my hero academia fanfic where the prototype version of bnha was an actual parallel universe and both midoriyas ended up switching places and trying to find out how to go back to their respective universes. the plot kind of got away from me and the characterization did too. and i was like wait!!! this could be it's own thing. the actual story now is different from how it started tho

In GSWW, it was originally supposed to be a standalone story about a boy and a man being the last humans left alive. the man in this case was a former hairdresser.

cannibalistic pigeons was supposed to be a direct sequel to the gloam, featuring paloma slowly going insane before bugs over take her and she runs into the forest and presumably dies. this changed cuz 1) it was too similar to the story i was already telling in the gloam and 2) i got attached to paloma :(

early on in the apocalypse, jordan had to physically stop spencer from stuffing their bags with only little debbie products. they eventually had to make a deal that every supply run, he could only grab one box.

merry doesn't remember anything about her past and doesn't retain any of her former personality. for the first few months after her transformation, she's more akin to a feral animal and relies on instinct. she learns to talk and socialize slowly, but by the time she meets jordan and spencer, she only has very basic vocabulary. when the actual story starts, she's back to regular speech, though her grammar is a bit off sometimes

merry isn't a vampire per se, but it's the closest description of what she is. in reality, she was almost replaced by a doppelganger, but fought so hard that the transformation was only half-way done, leading her to become more humanoid. it's a huge question as to whether or not she is more human or more doppelganger; her body doesn't rot, so it can largely be assumed that she's more human.

half-transformations are somewhat common in the apocalypse, but merry is a rare case of actually being able to move past the feral stage. most either stay as they are or are killed by surviving humans or other doppelgangers or their bodies rot because they're more doppelganger than human.

doppelgangers can either be referred to as that or as "angels." the latter of the two terms came about since they usually tried to trick humans by temporarily appearing like people offering help. these imitations are usually easy to spot however, since their faces tend to get uh. a little melty. people tend to avoid groups that refer to them as angels because:

there is a cult surrounding the doppelgangers and it's composed of a motorcycle gang. no elaboration lets move on

ok quick elaboration because shutting the fuck up has never been my thing: so they don't necessarily worship the angels themselves but believe that by bringing them sacrifices, they will leave the earth alone and let everyone go back to their normal lives. these sacrifices are often people that have a higher "sanctity" than other (i.e. being basically catnip for the angels since there are some people that are preferred over others). they're a motorcycle gang because. i thought it would be cool

fun fact every zone/group in GSWW is sort of gimmick-y. like for ex. spencer, merry, and jordan's group are all wild west themed, ernesto's former group were knights, etc. the reason for this was because 1) i thought it would be fun and 2) it sort of is meant to show how other people influence your behavior and thoughts. this doesn't make sense in like a post with funfacts, it makes more sense in story yk

merry has a restaurant called "earthy delights" which she and her group uses as both a home and a way to trade for supplies/blood for merry. they are open to just giving out food, however where is this food source coming from? the meat hole in the kitchen.

see the meat in the meat hole is not any kind of meat that any one has ever tasted. it's just meat. you can scramble it like eggs or sear it like a steak. it's juicy, soft and tender, always fresh, and most importantly: nutritious. jordan has tried lots of different kinds of meat but none of them ever compare to meat from the meat hole. it's not even human (though jordan thankfully did not have to test that one out, merry was able to tell him herself). they try to keep the meat hole secret to avoid having to fight people to the death over it because yk. apocalypse and death and desperation and all that.

the meat hole has, on multiple occasions, tried to eat spencer whenever he tried to collect some. that's why he's not allowed in the kitchen anymore.

ernesto stuck her hand in the meat hole once and she felt someone grab it, even though there was no visible hand.

in the gloam, sylvia is trapped in a house with her husband (isaac)'s doppelganger, who she calls Jack, short for Jackass

isaac's last words were "but she doesn't like the beach."

isaac personally made the stool sylvia uses while she cooks because she told him once that her old one was too tall for her to comfortably sit on

sylvia's cane is covered in stickers. the blame goes to both her niece and nephew. no matter how much she complains about it, she refuses to let isaac remove them.

the meat hole survives and outlives everybody peace and love on planet never

I forgot I actually needed to introduce the Bouges so here’s the whole thing if you wanna know. I’m not gonna tell you the WHOLLEE thing yet because I added extras at the beginning. But here’s where it turns into an Au -

At the end of AAT, Fenchurch is transported back with Arthur, and by sheer probability and my will, Arthur does not transport randomly throughout the galaxy. Him and Fenchurch are still as I remember it (I haven’t gotten thru the series again yet but I think that’s it) going to look for colleges for Random. Arthur is so happy and Fenchurch is happy but confused why Arthur is so happy, because nothing had changed for her. So they continue and come back as promised, Random goes to college and she does what she does. Since Arthur really has nothing left to do, and he has the love of his life back, he decides he finally wants to settle down. He knows he’d said that a million times before and he never really stopped wanting to settle down, but he meant it this time. So he begins to search on his guide, with the help and opinion of Ford and Fen. They finally land on a planet that was logged by only 1 hitchhiker, in which the blog was very old. It describes of ‘only a few civilizations scattered among the planet, including the Bouges, the Vaelas, and the Tahm. Most (emphasis on MOST) of them are harmless. Just watch out for the Vaelas’. They were a little concerned about the last statement, but decided that between a huge mountain and loads of desert, they don’t need to worry. After some discussion, they pack up and meander their way over (Probably through Zaph). They build themselves a house tucked away in a corner of a vast (as vast as it can be on the tiny planet) forest and large mountains. They live happily together, already befriending the local towns folk. They call themselves people of the west, as they have little contact due to the enormous gushing river between them. Sometime a long while later, Random comes back to Mistrule. With a child in her arms and dark streaks running down her face, she tells about how to run in presidential elections (yes, she wants to become the president. I don’t know where I’m getting that from it might be in the book but idk she just is going to be. She needs to be great.) She had chopped out a section of her brain, for it was “getting in the way”. To celebrate, her and Zaph went out drinking to her new projected presidency. Stumbled back to thog, and Zaph drunkenly sat on the improbability button and pressed it (shattering the glass in the process). They went through the whole process, reality was soon set. Probably still drunk, they don’t take long to hear in a child’s cries down the halls: Random searches, to find an infant wailing, lying on the shattered Petri dish that was once her brain. She took it all the way to Arthur, cuz of course she couldn’t take care of this baby while she was president. Arthur, Fenchurch, and Ford are all given the option to adopt a child. It’s an immediate yes and they get to work preparing a room. Random thanks them, and goes back to being the president. This child grows up with her family and the residents of the land, the Bouges. This is where Alax Bugsby and Elai Ferwoud are from, and their families. This is an entire civilization that has been evolving for a good couple thousand years. I can get farther into the evolutionary track later if we want. Next! They live happily for a while, until Ophelia is around the age of 12. Alax confesses his love for her, which causes Elai to break down because he’s in love with Oph. Ophy I honestly just so distressed she made her best friends fight. So she goes back to her house and cries for a bit. Fenchurch asks her what’s wrong, and like a good mother goes to comfort her daughter. Yet this is a BREAKdown, and accidentally with her powers (yes this baby has powers. She is the creation of imagination personified) that she can’t control well, accidentally ends up with Fenchurch dead. She freaks the fuck out, doesn’t even tell arthur, just picks up her mom and starts flying to fucking anywhere. She ends up at the ocean, where she lays her mother down. Arthur only found out and followed because there was a trail of blood coming down from the sky to the ground and no daughter or wife to be found. - (1/3)

1 - Why do you like or dislike this character?

I love Nephry because we're given very little about her actual past but she still feels entirely fully fleshed out--she loves her brother and is both frustrated with him and worries about him; she had a loveless marriage and is thus this example of a person very dissatisified by the Score but has to live with it anyway; she's the freaking governor of Keterburg! Idk I feel like she's a full character but she also makes me wonder about everything else that has happened in her life

12 - What's a headcanon you have for this character?

I think Nephry has a lot of buried rage that she wasn't allowed to or able to express for various reasons and as an adult she's working through it but sometimes...sometimes it slips out

20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?

I know it's cliche but Peony.....I think they have a lot of similarities being, yknow, not stupid but not smart like Jade or Dist, and going through the same trauma...I think they have a really strong platonic bond!!

Peony:

2 - Favorite canon thing about this character?

His absolute willingness to give up the throne and how little he thinks about the Score. Thog did NOT care about all that noise. I think it's a super effective way to give insight into Peony and how he's not power hungry at all. I also think a lot about when he punched Jade in the face like go girl do that again. He doesn't put up with bullshit!

8- What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character you despise?

Whitewashing....I know I draw him far darker-skinned than he is in canon but there's a decent amount of art (including canon published art) where he looks like a porcelain doll

24 - What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?

THIS ONE IS HARD.....HM.....[takes a 5 hour break in which i go to work] okay this may be insane but i think urahara from bleach? there are a lot of differences as well and i think urahara is a lot more manipulative than peony but i think both of them have got that sense of right and wrong without any sort of lust for power if that makes sense

Zero: bby. Bbyboy. I didn't tick the 'I have so many headcanons' because I feel like. I do have a lot of thoughts about him but also they come from other sources/people? (You and jonah for the most part) I love him but I'm also happier soaking up the thoughts of people who love him even more. He's incredible protagonist overall I wouldn't have the game any other way

Anthy: oh goddddd anthy... I have to rewatch utena sometime. I think I have like half the series on my laptop? Anyways. I love Anthy she's one of the women of all times to me and I adore a good mpdg subversion. Her role in the narrative cannot be understated she is the crux of this series. She's so complex both as a character and then also thematically. She could do Katana ZERO, but i would never subject Zero to Ohtori Academy.

I think like. The rgu fandom is filled with incredibly intelligent people who treat her with the respect she deserves and they all have much smarter things to say about her anyways so. I shall just stare at her lovingly from a distance <3

Madoka: She's literally the bravest little girl in the whole world and if no one claps and cheers for her right now i'm blowing this whole building up (homura voice.) Anyways god yeah she's incredible. I really hope the newest movie has her as the protagonist again (unlikely but lol) i believe in her strength of will and ability to overcome the impossible. She's the girl who made a bargain with the devil (metaphorical) and became god. She's magical girl jesus. women can do anything

Homura: oh god homuraaaaaaaa. I'm so not well about her as you can tell from my bingo sheet. Somehow the most selfish and selfless girl in the whole world. She definitely has some form of BPD. she's john and judas and lucifer and canonically catholic, she's like three layers of repression in the form of a japanese middle-schooler. He tries to pull the man away from what's left of the thog without using his superpower, broken and badly beaten-up on the floor after Twoface is done. Does John enjoy it? He can only say he was lucky he met 'Harvey Dent' when he found this place after they kicked him out of superheroes team. Harvey is.. well, the man is complicated but to John, he has been nothing except honest to him from the start and John loves and adores him back, he can say the feeling is mutual because he can sense and see Harvey's vitals whenever he's around him, heart beat picking up and that small, almost invisible to others but not John, respect that is in Dent's eyes when he catches him staring sometimes..

And his generosity, he gave a home to John when no one welcomed him in the town, even brought him here, in Gotham city rogues meetings and gave him a chance to be on his own, be whoever he wanted.

John never thought he falls in love.. maybe it's what they call 'a puppy crush' but John is ready to die for this man.. for both of his personality, actually.

"Look what you did.." He holds Harvey's hands, thumbs brushing over bloodied knuckles "let's patch you up, my knight in shining armor" He says with a mocking tilt to his voice, sending up a silent pray that Harvey can't hear his heart.

The smile drops from the man's face when Homelander's eyes glow red but then Harvey stops him with a hand on John‘s chest..

John loves these moments.. when Harvey forgets that he actually has superpowers, when Harvey uses his Two-Face voice and when he gets protective over him.

"I'm not a fucking damsel in distress, you know?" But, God, he already feels weak in his knees for this man. "I want to watch." The sentence is demanding but his voice has a small pleading tone with it. Only for Harvey, always for him alone..

Gods I’ve tried to write this post so many times and find it so hard to express everything the way I want.

So, villains. I am kind of obsessed with villains and otherwise morally dubious characters and have been for as far back as I can remember. I think probably 80% of the this blog is devoted to analysing villainous characters. They’re the characters I am most likely to be attracted to and most likely to spend ages thinking about.

Hence why Rich Burlew’s comments on writing villains spark a lot of thoughts in me.

There are a couple of things he says that I wanna talk about in particular:

1) He doesn’t have a problem with readers loving the villains as characters, he only has a problem if they love the villains as people 2) It’s possible to appreciate characters for their different traits without needing to pass an absolute judgment (more detail on this in a sec)

Basically I think these are pretty important points that people don’t always seem to recognise when discussing fictional characters. In almost every fandom, I encounter people who either:

a) don’t want to admit to liking the ‘wrong’ characters, or feel guilty for liking them, OR b) will actively judge and condemn other people as being morally or mentally deficient for liking the ‘wrong’ character (or ship)

I’ve never particularly understood either of these things. At least part of the reason why is summarised in Rich Burlew’s comments on one of his own villainous characters:

“I don’t understand treating his lovability as overriding his Evilness, nor his Evilness overriding his lovability. Because he’s a fictional character and it’s not necessary that we pass a binding absolute judgment on how we feel about him. We can simultaneously appreciate his comedy in this corner of our brain while condemning his evil in that corner.”

- Rich Burlew on Thog, from Order of the Stick (see a perfect example of Thog being both amusingly adorable and despicably awful in this comic).

And for a start: yes, exactly! And secondly: I think the fact that these characters take up so many corners in my brain is part of the reason I end up so obsessed with them? Because they have a tendency to stir up a lot of different thoughts and strong emotions, both good and bad, and trying to wrap my head around all those things is a fascinating process. There’s just so many different angles to think about, like:

Analysing the psychology of the characters themselves; how do all these sometimes contradictory pieces fit together?

How do they fit in with the overall message of the story?

Why do I respond to them the way that I do? What feelings and thoughts do they evoke and why?

Saying you love a character is definitely not the same as saying you wholeheartedly endorse their every action and viewpoint. Anyone assuming that there’s a straightforward relationship between the characters we love and the morality/behaviour we want to see in real life is probably missing the point. I agree that the way we respond to fiction can be revealing about our own internal world, but sometimes it’s more like a convoluted path through a hedge maze to figure it out, rather than a straightforward reflection of our morality and desires.

And basically everything I mentioned above are topics I want to talk about in more detail at some point.

Random Jackbox headcannons that I wanted to share.

(Possible trigger warnings ahead, prosied with caution.)

The first time Cookie hosted You don't know jack, he was terrified and could barely utter a word.

The YDKJ hosts are a squad and they hang out together.

Schmitty takes anger management classes

The Champed up host is Cookies brother and his name is Chip. (Like, chocolate chip cookie.)

Chip is kind of aggressive towards others when it comes to showing affection to Cookie. He will not hesitate to fight anyone who upsets Cookie (even though he's much smaller than Cookie and will most likely loose a fight.)

Cookie is robophobic and he believes in the conspiracy that highly advanced tech will kill us. (He can handle Iphones and smart watches, but not VR headsets and home assistants and especially AI.)

Nate is totally fine with this belief, as he has interviewed people like this on his radio show Truth Talk 23/7 and has heard much stranger.

The Binjpipe lady is an artificial intelligence female robot called the Artificial Binjpipe Intelligence of ABI (I know it's a terrible acronym but I couldn't think of a good one that spelt something similar to Aby.)

The only reason Cookie agreed to collab with Binjpipe is because Donny forged Cookie's signature on a contract behind his back hoping Cookie could face his fear.

It didn't work and Abi gaslighted Cookie in to thinking she resets him and brainwashed him into thinking he's code and that nothing and nobody he knows is real.

This causes him to neglect his own health, not eat, sleep, or take care of himself, and he eventually lost his mind. Abi planned for this to happen and intended for him to die of malnutrition.

Her plan was to collect data from the Jackbox hosts, put it on a chip, kill the hosts, then download a replica of them onto Binjpipe to put their shows on the streaming service. Aside from being morally messes up, this would've totally drained the life and comedy out of the shows and make them bland and boring.

Nate was suspicious of Abi from the beginning and asked people to send him any info on Binjpipe they could find on his show.

Nate, Schmitty, guy, and Buzz had to save Cookie and rush him to the hospital because by the time they where able to stop Abi, he was to week to even stand up and was incredibly mentally incapacitated.

When Cookie was released from the hospital, he was too week to walk, he barely spoke, and he couldn't think straight or remember anyone or anything. (Basically Cookie is not having a good time.) He's mostly better now but now he's kinda traumatized.

In fact, he was so traumatized that he quit trivia for years (At least until a new YDKJ comes out, if it comes out, and if he's the one who hosts it.)

[REDACTED] insisted on helping Schmitty and Raul (I ship Cookie and Raul) nurse Cookie back to physical health, mental health, and his memory when he was released from the hospital because the state Cookie was in reminded him of the state his mother was in before she died.

[REDACTED'S] Mother had Alzheimer's disease and Redacted helped be her caretaker and would sing her a lullaby she used to sing to him before bedtime. That song was the last thing she heard before she died and her death really hurt Redacted.

[REDACTED] doesn't support su***de, it bumes him out and makes him feel bad for wanting to kill the person.

[REDACTED] Is friends with Schmitty and Schmitty forgives him for torturing him, in fact he acts like it never happened. (Nobody understands why.)

Since [REDACTED] isn't allowed to kill the other hosts, he gives them the dolls he made, kills the dolls when they lose, and makes them stay in 'the looser room,' where they watch a projector screen of the rest of the game and eat snacks.

[REDACTED] Was genuinely hurt when he finds out that you aren't his mother because he was really hurt when she died, and really happy when you got the wig since he thought could see her again

The others heard [REDACTED] in the tattoos mini game, but they couldn't see anything. [REDACTED] purposely left them in the dark about it until they played the mini game to mess with them.

The host of the devil's and the details is a demon who changes his form into a human because his true form would most likely drive the others mad. Also his name is Stan

Stan sees humans as simpletons and he looks down on them. The only human he actually likes is [REDACTED.]

There's a cult related to Stan (Who's real name is Y'thogsomore, pronounced Yo-thogs-a-more) and he thinks the cult is pathetic for following him.

It was really awkward for Cookie to find out that one of his old cats is now anthropomorphic and a game show host.

Back when Mayonnaise was a normal cat, he would somehow change the channel on the TV to The Twilight Zone and watch it whenever Cookie fell asleep while watching TV.

Cookie is a cat dad.

Felicia was surprised to find out that none of the hosts were dating each other, so she threw a make out party to try to have set them up, it didn't work and she just made everyone uncomfortable.

She wasn't allowed to do that for a long time. She's now allowed to hold singles mixers, just as long as she doesn't be as pushy as the first time.

Glargan O'Toe is and Alien who wears a space suit while on Earth. He has one eye and he glows in the dark

Glargan O'Toe likes to go to Clubs and parties

Glargan O'Toe is good friends with Felicia, and they share a single brain cell.

Gene sees DODE as an angel since he's always sent to hell and he loves her.

Toby, Lena, The shadow master, and Rachel had to save Gene from a terrible co-worker relationship (I'll spare you the details but let's just say that my version of the survive the internet host is not a nice person.)

The host of Guesspionage (Whom I've taken to call "Andy") is dating the CEO of Binjpipe (who I like to call "Malefica.")

Malefica has a daughter named Petunia who hates Andy, and Any doesn't like her.

Chip always presents himself as a ride and immature little man who holds grudges too easily and will see you as dead to him if you get on his bad side, but he's a nice guy once you get to know him.

When Chip heard that Cookie quit trivia, he was like 'Well it's about time, all that trivia stuff was so lame." When really he was shocked and genuinely upset for Cookie

When Cookie and Chip where kids, they would do this cute thing where they'd dress up as the Snow miser and heat miser and sing their songs (Cookie was always the Snow miser and Chip was always the heat miser.)

I like call son of Mayonnaise and the Mother from monsters seeking monsters (and that's not me shipping something weird, that's actually cannon) is named Mustard.

I'm just gonna go out and assume that they adopted Mustard.

Cookie was not happy at the mother when he learned that she was seeing mayonnaise

Schmitty absolutely hated almost every show on Binjpipe.

Beatboxing and rapping is a hobby that Gene picked up.

Gene always gets nervous and awkward when playing patently stupid, wich is why he makes and presents strange inventions. Toby and Lena try not to judge him, but sometimes they're just too weird

The host of Bidiots is a total hypocrite. He judges and scolds the other hosts for being so weird and sometimes violent, when really he isn't really any better.

Cookie's hair used to be black. One day he dyed his hair brown, but left some spots black to make it look like a chocolate chip cookie.

General ghost headcanons

Ghosts don't technically NEED TO eat and sleep, but a lot of them do both anyways because it's a pleasant experience, and a lot of them never stopped those habits after they died.

Ghosts can make themselves solid and transparent as they like; meaning they can make themselves solid to interact with objects and people (like Luigi), but can also make themselves transparent to go through walls, people, etc.

Not all ghosts are people who died - some ghosts are born that way. Portrait Ghosts/Boss Ghosts however ARE people who died.

Ghosts curl their tails together as a sign of affection, akin to holding hands.

Ghosts can change their bodies a little bit, like extending limbs, etc. Some ghosts (like Morty....mostly just him) like to change their tails into legs from time to time!

Hotel Staff

The hotel was functional before the events of the game, and served as a hotel for ghosts. The staffing was the same (i.e. all of the portrait ghosts were there) as well as some of the Goobs and other ghosts working for the hotel.

Even though they're ghosts and don't technically NEED TO rest or anything, the staff still have an end to their work days to sleep and do as they'd like...but they still have to work LONG days.

On the second floor on the left side of the hallway, there's a door that leads to a hallway containing a set of rooms for the hotel staff to stay in, since they all live there.

 Steward

He died in the 1940s at the age of 25, working as a bellboy - he lost control of a trolley of luggage and fell down a flight of stairs, snapped his spine, and was smothered/suffocated under the luggage when it fell on top of him.

He has nightmares sometimes about his death.

He overworks himself to please Hellen because he MUST Be A Good Worker. He does the jobs of at least three people all at once and is constantly moving.

He's very anxious and is prone to having anxiety attacks.....about work and just life in general.

He's trans and gay and is dating Kruller!

 Chambrea

Chambrea was murdered in the 1940s on her way home from work one evening, by an unknown man. She was 36.

She's a HUGE Gossip, and she loves to listen in on people's conversations to get the Tea. She's known to spread rumors and not have all the facts though...so take her gossip with a grain of salt.

She has a HUGE crush on Johnny Deepend. (She's into very toned guys.)

 Kruller

Kruller died in the 1980s at 42 years old, from a heart attack while running around on the job. He had high blood pressure and high cholesterol from poor diet his whole life that led to the heart attack.

He feels much more confident with his sunglasses on.

He wears glasses when he's off the clock. Poor guy can't see without them! His sunglasses are prescription too.

He LOVES board games!

He's really nervous and easily flustered! He tries really hard to be tough, but in the end he can't do it because he's just a really sweet guy.

He falls asleep on the job a lot.

He's Bi and loves his boyfriend Steward!

He's best friends with Morty and DJ Phantasmagloria!

Chef Soulfflé

Soulfflé died in the early 1910s after getting locked in the freezer overnight of the kitchen he worked at. He was 51.

He thinks all of the food he made is Top of the Line, and he WILL get angry if you say otherwise.

 Amadeus Wolfgeist

Amadeus died in the late 1700s from an aneurysm brought on by his temper after a performance. He was 49 years old.

He sleeps in his piano more often than in his room in the hotel. He prefers solitude and doesn't like being around the others. Most of his free time IS spent alone in his theater or dressing room.

He has a BIG sweet tooth and can't resist sweets....especially donuts!

He doesn't like DJ Phantasmagloria's music.

 King MacFrights

Died in the mid 1300s at the age of 41 in battle, when he took a Lance to the chest and was impaled.

He's very sensitive about his height and he will get VERY angry if you comment on it at all.

 Dr. Potter

Died in the late 1970s from old age at 85.

He was a recluse and took care of dozens upon dozens of plants all at once and he loved every one of them dearly.

He sweet talked his plants and would Hum to them softly as he made his way through his gardens.

He names every single one of his plants!

Morty

Morty died in 1972 at 37 years old, when a stage light fell on him after he uttered the word "Macbeth" in the theater. He didn't believe the superstition.

His real name is Mortimer, but he prefers Morty. Don't ever call him Mort he will Kill You (unless You're Kruller. He's the only friend who's allowed to call him that)

Morty was an actor as well as a director when he was alive and performed in theater, plays, musicals, etc as well as on film.

He was fluent in a handful of languages including English, French, and Italian. 

He has a wonderful singing voice and also performed in an opera or two!

After he died Morty continued to haunt the theater he died in for a good decade at least. Mostly he spent his time moping about and crying in the theater, upset over his death.....the locals began to tell stories of the Weeping Ghost that haunted the theater, and his death became a sort of joke - the man who died because of a superstition and now spent his days crying about it. Morty did NOT like that and that just made him ANGRIER.

Eventually he got fed up with that place and in a fit of rage absolutely trashed the place before leaving to find a new place to live, coming upon the Hotel and being given a job there by Hellen.

He's got a big gay crush on Luigi let's be real here guys. They're dating!

He has a fainting couch in the studio that he'll throw himself onto while wailing....he's a big drama king after all!

Ug

Ug was trampled to death and then eaten by a T-rex, around 30 years old.

He doesn't understand anything going on in the rest of the hotel and is prone to destroying everything he sees, so he just stays in the museum.

Thog Ug don't care.

Clem

Clem died in the 1960s due to exposure from the various toxins, diseases, etc. In the sewers where he worked. He was about 28 years old.

He has a rubby ducky collection!

He collects things that people drop down the drains/that end up in the sewers with him, and will bring them back up to be found and collected.

He's dating that weird mop with a face drawn onto it. It's been a steady three year relationship so far.

Serpci

Serpci died around 2000 BC~ at the age of 31, being sacrificed to the Gods. She was the reigning queen at the time, and gave herself up to the Gods for a better afterlife, as well as to help her people flourish.

She's very attentive to how she looks and dresses; a queen such as herself must always look the part, you know.

She's intrigued by all of the new technology and things around the hotel, and enjoys going from floor to floor, learning about it all. Though she does get a bit scared of things like movies, DJ Phantasmagloria's music, etc...

She's a lesbian and is dating DJ Phantasmagloria!

Nikki, Ginny, Lindsey

The triplets died at the age of 12 when a magic trick misfired, and caused the building they were performing in to catch fire and burn to the ground, in the early 1980s.

Ginny is the oldest, Lindsey is the middle child, and Nikki is the youngest.

They like to switch and change hairstyles to confuse others as to which triplet is which!

They think all love and romance and affection between the adults is GROSS!!

The three of them will flock to Chambrea when in need of comfort....the maid is almost like a pseudo-guardian to the three girls, and reminds them of their mom.

Captain Fishhook

Died in the late 1600s during a conflict between his pirate ship, and a band of soldiers. He was shot in the chest and fell overboard, only to be ripped apart by a shark.

The shark however did not survive attempting to eat the captain and died as well.

He very much likes how he looks now and thinks he's a lot more intimidating than he ever was when he was alive!!!

Despite the fact that he thinks and acts like a human, he has an animalistic side as well and sometimes succumbs to those instincts.

Johnny Deepend

He died at the age of 26 around the 1980s, when his swimming trunks got caught on the drain of a pool and he drowned.

He's very cocky and confident about his looks and he loves to show off his muscles.

He's a bit of an asshole......he's just a straight fuck boy, honestly.

He knows Chambrea's head over heels for him, but she isn't his.....type. Not thin or young or pretty enough for him.

DJ Phantasmagloria

She died in the 1970s after overdosing on ecstasy, when she was 29 years old.

She's self conscious of her actual hair and doesn't like it all that much, which is a big reason as to why she wears wigs all the time.

DJ Phantasmagloria is her stage name! When she's not performing, she just goes by Gloria.

She tends to call people "baby" and "sweetheart" as friendly pet names.

She's dating Serpci and is very.....very gay for her gorgeous girlfriend!!

She really enjoys Amadeus' music, even if he doesn't like hers. She understands! She loves listening to him perform.

Hellen Gravely

She killed herself in the 1930s at the age of 43.

She was a model for a period of time before her death. She didn't become the owner of the hotel until she'd already been dead for a few years, but it had been an ambition of hers in her life.

She HATED how she looked as she started to get older, and layered on the makeup to make herself look young and pretty again.

of my own?? DREAMSTUCK. FOR SURE. ABSOLUTELY. def my current fav and probably will be my fav for a while, it's a love letter to both source materials and i love it so much. dreamstuck is my favourite child <3 also my shitty sanders sides crime au tbh, it's so ooc and quite terribly written but it holds such a special place in my heart for being my first fic that really got popular and it got soooo much good feedback and gained me a lot of consistent readers. it's insane. ohhhhh When The Chips Are Down you are so terrible but i love you <3

49. Where do you draw inspiration from?

hmmmm good question!!! kind of just. anywhere and everywhere!!! sometimes i'll be thinkin about some old media i like, and i'll imagine some of my current fav characters in that media, and i'll be like BOOM. DREAMSTUCK. Or i'll see a tumblr post or a tweet that says something like "hey what if ___?" and i'll get thinking about it and suddenly i'm like ohhh man. i wanna write that now. like i saw one post that said "hey what if the sages could view link through their avatars" and now i'm 15k words into a totk fic. it's a problem <3 And sometimes I'll even get inspiration from dreams I've had!! the book i'm writing is actually based off a dream where i was stuck in a time loop and trying to save someone i cared about, and they finally lived past the time they usually died at in the loop and i cried. then i woke up and was like ohhhh man. yeah. thats gotta become a book STAT. it can come from anywhere for me, which is an issue because i am only one person and i do not have time to write all of the things i want to write, but!!! i can usually write most of it!! and sharing those ideas with the world is what matters to me :3

When I started shipping: Around when I reached Romance of the Four Clans. From re-watching, I think they started dating between Deck of Disaster and Wizard High School. I don’t know when that is in terms of actual time, though.

My thoughts: It’s a very good ship, I think they’re adorable together

What makes me happy about them: They’re really cute together!! They both care about each other a whole lot, as well as their other friends.

My happily ever after for them: They finally fully escape Alaran and Meathe and get to get married and live in a cute little cottage where Thog writes poems and teaches Ashe to read and Ashe gets to carve and climb trees and cuddle with her husband and it’s really cute.

Who is the big spoon/little spoon: Depends on the day.

What is their favorite non-sexual activity: Reading together. It’s a bit difficult, but Ashe is getting better at Free and Thog is happy to help. Sometimes he recites poems he wrote for her.
