It had been a day since her sudden arrival, summoning the strength to wander down into the study room, the warmth of the fire calling her name. A blanket wrapped around her, head leaning into the high side of the lounge chair, with a mug of tea in her hands.

Alecto had tea with his mother earlier, a little conversation had, explaining the incident she found herself in, leaving some key points out. Those were points that would be dealt with later.

Her head twists to the entrance of the study at the sound of heels clicking against the stone. The sight of Bellatrix standing there was a welcoming face. "It is I down here. Rabastan is upstairs with company."

Apolline had heard what happened at home, a letter sent from her mother, and at the end, it requested her to come home. She knew she would have to share with them what happened with Rabastan and why his family suddenly pulled away. She hated that she was disappointing her family, but she held no regret for her actions. He deserved to know how it felt to be powerless, that to have something held against him that he had no control of. The half-veela held no qualms for what she was. She had finally stepped into her her potential.

She was walking down the street, about to make it back to her flat, when she caught sight of a shadow from the corner of her eyes, turning around to find one covered by his robes and hood.

Lucius was cautious with the words that spilled from his mouth. The last thing he wished for was to give his sister-in-law the fuel to tear him apart. The blonde was a confident man, wielding the power to gain what was required of him with the cause, and able to deal with those that crossed his path, yet, when it came to Bellatrix, he was inclined to remain in one piece.

He blinked a few times, silent, not sure if he heard her correctly, agreeing with his thoughts. This was a first. Lucius took the opportunity to further this notion. "Why then, why don't we scheme a little." A devious smirk crossed his features, ordering them another round of drinks.

She didn't miss his apprehension, observing it like a vulture hovering weakened prey. It caused her skin to prickle pleasantly, adrenaline pulsing through her rich heart and pulling a mirthful smile across her lips, where annoyance had been present mere minutes ago. Inconstant and turbulent, her moods were at least steadied by her love for cruelty - even if this was just making Malfoy stare at her with over-zealous caution.

His words, however, did cause her pause. Who'd have thought he'd come up with a suggestion that was worth considering. Certainly not her. She studied him, reluctant appreciation crossing her expression. "You make an excellent point, Lucius. I was going to attempt to get him fired, but perhaps it would be more useful to let him destroy the Aurors from the inside. I wouldn't mind giving him a helping hand over the brink of sanity, either."

This was what happened when Alecto was left alone to her own devices. Rabastan had gone away for a couple days with Emmeline to Italy, leaving her to uncontained chaos that needed to be released. Restraint teetered, tugging in both directions, emotions that seemed suffocating, and even after the torture she ensued interrogating with him, it was never quenched.

There may have been requests made and she would not wish to break them, yet it didn't hinder her to discover loopholes. The witch sauntered down the dark streets of London with Bellatrix at her side. The two together, death reapers on the prowl, meant only demise would trail behind. "I need a challenge. I thought mudbloods had stronger wills." She huffed, annoyance lanced in her tone. Her words were a lie, mudbloods were like flies, easy to pick off, but she was bored. "At least the last had more resemblance."

Alecto spent the night with her champagne glass that was filled with sparkling water, the thought of alcohol making her nauseous. "They shall be disappointed." A teasing tone to her voice, taking a sip of her drink. "We must deny their deepest desires." She was certain that was not on their minds, but who knew when it came to the Lestrange brothers.

Had she thought about it? A small snort escaped her parted lips. There was one that lingered on her mind throughout the whole evening, the restraint slowly waning. "I cannot lie to you, so yes, there is one that I would wish to eliminate." Extreme? Some might say, but the moods that hit her like a tsunami wave wished for nothing more to see the demise of Miray. "We do not wish to ruin this for your sister. I am sure we can refrain for one night."

Bella scoffs, though her mouth quickly turns into a smirk. She takes her champagne glass off the table, eying it fondly as it magically refills. "You're right, wouldn't want to play into whatever twisted fantasies are going on in their half rotted brains." She thinks back to her own wedding: Standing around, making small talk. Existing as a show piece for snobby, rich men with nothing better to do than wipe their grimy paws in the lace curtains. She shivers.

"Don't tell me you haven't thought about it, Alecto," she says teasingly. "Starting a fight." Bellatrix, for one, only thought about it every time she left her house... or, really, every time she was disgraced with another person's presence in her vicinity. Even in her own damned bedroom. "I wouldn't be surprised if there were bets placed. This is half a Black family event, after all."
