Carson was sitting on his couch when he heard the door to his apartment open up. He looked behind him, knowing exactly who it was. Maddie was the only one who had the spare key. "Was it really that bad that you had to use me as an excuse?" He was referring to the date she had called him in the middle of to come and save her only for him to call her five minutes later as said decoy.
He already had the popcorn popped and the wine in her favorite glass on the table. "You know...I don't know why you just don't date me."

WHEN & WHERE... Fur and Suds (morning) @carsonxbentley
Golf liked animals. He really did. Given the whole 'self-cleaning' thing, he thought pets like cats were pretty tolerable, and he really liked elephants. But something about the scraggly Chinese Crested dog his aunt owned gave him the creeps. He hated looking at that thing, with its one blind eye and tongue sticking out... Golf predicted it'd be on its way out by now, but ten years had passed, and now he was taking him to the groomer as a birthday gift. Entering through the doors, Golf lays the dog carrier by his side, waiting for someone to greet him.

❛ you don’t have to keep me company, i’m fine by myself. ❜ -Carson to Theron
~~
"I know," Theron nodded, "I know I don't have to. You're always good by yourself, I just..." he paused then shrugged. "I just happen to be here so," he shrugged again. "Deal with it."

One dimple carved itself into a porcelain cheek as Theron spoke. Deal with it, huh? Her head tipped back, enjoying the small tickle of strawberry vines weaving their way through her hair. She had just gotten done being recreational, to say the least. But she had never been a fan of other campers being nearby, lest they begin to wonder.
"Hope you have good taste in music," she hummed, sliding her iPod to him to choose the next Playlist. As a young theatrical actress, her music choices varied far and wide.

A vague semblance of a laugh shook her shoulders. It wasn't exuberant, like normal. No head being thrown back and feet stomping. But it was the closest she had had since before Rory passed a few days prior. "You'll be fine."
She took him the long way around camp, easing them through trees and walking casually when they were in open space. The blonde said few, but her smile was sharper than her blade when she led him through the dusky evening towards where the cars were kept. Predictably, Carson had made a copy of her brother's keys. Even more predictably, his was the expensive and sleek Mitsubishi.
"Buckle up," she whispered, tossing him the keys and casually walking up to the door. History proved the more you ran for what you wanted the more likely you were to get caught.
The Aftermath [Theron/Carson]
deluca-demigods:
One dimple sank into her cheek as he answered. Not quite a Hermes child, but raised enough by one still gave a girl a permanent air of mischief. She climbed to her feet, brushed her butt off, and reached for his hand to tug him to his feet. “I’ll worry about the car. You worry about driving.” Her elder brother Nicky kept his car here by the big house. The only trouble was it was parked next to Argus’s van.
Tumblr media
“Oh? Okay then,” he frowned cutely then pushed himself up to his feet following suit. “Not cryptic at all. I like it. Some plausible deniability is always good.” Theron paused then held his hand out, offering her to, “Lead the way then.”

a patch of white anemones
the iliad, tr. emily wilson / electra: a tragedy, tr. anne carson / the lathe of heaven, ursula k. le guin / @insomniac-arrest / the first bad man, miranda july / what resembles the grave but isn’t, anne boyer / rabbit heart (raise it up), florence + the machine / burrows end, @dimension20official / the burglar of babylon, elizabeth bishop
[Image Description: Ten images of text. The first image is a photograph of a book page but the rest are black text on a pure white background.
1: “You already know this story. You will die. Everyone you love will also die. You will lose them forever. You will be sad and angry. You will weep. You will bargain. You will make demands. You will beg. You will pray. It will make no difference. Nothing you can do will bring them back. You know this. Your knowing changes nothing. This poem will make you understand the unfathomable truth again and again, as if for the very first time.”
2: “Electra / And I know there is something all wrong about me - believe me. Sometimes I shock myself”
3: “The end justifies the means. But what if there never is an end? All we have is means.”
4: “The first rule of tragedy is to be yourself. The second rule of tragedy is to be literally anyone else. The third rule is that however much you try there is no escaping being yourself forever.”
5: “Then I realised that we all think we might be terrible people. But we only reveal this before asking someone to love us. It is a kind of undressing.”
6: “Always falling into a hole, then saying “okay, this is not your grave, get out of this hole,””
7: “I must become a lion hearted girl / Ready for a fight / Before I make the final sacrifice / We raise it up, this offering”
8: “i think for myself, when I go back to that time, the number one emotion associated with it is tremendous shame and embarrassment which is the emotion it would take to never mention that to anybody”
9: “You were good to me, and I love you, / But I’m doomed” End ID.]

"Yeah, alright—just forget I'm not exactly as tiny as I used to be." Jacob's tone was easy, slightly sheepish as he rubbed the back of his neck, masking his embarrassment with casual indifference. Truth be told, he'd been plain careless, but there was no need for anyone else to clock onto that particular fact. "Heading home already, are we? Take it this sort of gaff ain't really your cuppa then?"
Tumblr media
He needed a drink. Why? He wasn't sure but he just felt it in his bones that he wanted to go and unwind at St. James's. It had become familiar territory to him, the once sober dragon having found alcohol to be quite a calming companion to him. Sure he didn't drink excessively but it was still enough to make a human drunk. So when he almost collided with another, he figured it was time to go home. "No, you're fine," he said with a raised hand, "probably should go home anyways, you alright though?"

((Can-They-Kill-Macbeth-themed murder mystery party where the victim is Macbeth and you have to narrow down which of the guests feasibly could kill him under the "no man of woman born" prophecy as well as find out who smuggled a piece of Birnam wood into the venue. My brain is huge))

As AMAZING as this scene was and I would NEVER change a single thing I can’t deny how badly I wanted young Kratos to speak and hear TC Carson’s voice.
The moment I saw him I wanted to hear the 2 eras of Kratos speak
This scene was perfection though

Carson dimpled and bounced along, leading them down the street. "We got what we needed done, thankfully." She was there for a musical, one she was actually excited about. But fun times in between were written in her manifesto.
Tumblr media
"Chicken and waffles sound pretty good," Nicky reasoned, dabbing Jace up before following after the shorter blonde. "What are you craving from either place?" Ever one to try and be fair. "We can decide on the way?"

@deluca-demigods continued from here.

jace had been waiting for the deluca siblings so the three could have dinner. he had nibbled through the crackers he kept as a "just-in-case" snack. "hope you guys got what you needed to done," he referenced the rehearsal carson spoke of. the son of mercury was typically one to take people at their word, preferring benefit of the doubt over cynicism.
"i'm thinking either waffle house or a 'n' w. either of those sound good to you guys?" jace asked. breakfast for dinner or a classic burger joint. both were good options.
