“I should hope, a respected doctor.” He chuckled, although showed no signs of any offence. “Although I have been known to wear many hats. So one would hope, I at least project the air of someone competent.” A wry smile blossomed as he observed the rather, odd man. Who apparently had thrown out all manner of politeness, not that Watson minded.
At this point he was used to it, whether out in the streets or in a more secluded function. This all hallows eve party certainly seemed to bring out the worst in people. “And yourself? What costume, have you chosen to adorn?”

“Well, in one's journey to enlightenment, the first step is simply opening one's mouth.” Watson explained, folding his hands in his lap. “How can we learn without asking the necessary questions?”
“I suppose, in laymen terms, that is, that you generally can't deduce anything without seeking out many answers.” He tried a smile, his eyes creased. “Forgive me, I've inherited my flatmate's tendency to ramble. Or perhaps, he is what drove such traits from within me.” A chuckle. “However, I am obliged to make your acquaintance. Should you ever need assistance, our door is always open.”
