【Antebellum/AMV】Psycho Killer

Happy Independence Day guys!! Hope you all enjoy this!

Like I've said the theme of this amv is probably: humorously(?) compressed simple antebellum history (1812-1861) group portraits into 4 minutes. So most scenes are basically related to historical facts, and the numbers there are the years of the events. However I'm historically illiterate in antebellum era, and this was something I decided to make before I even understood antebellum people lol. I hope there aren't any big mistakes x

While playing this song on repeat it suddenly struck me that everyone in the antebellum era was a god damned Psycho Killer, hence the idea for this group portrait. It's kinda sad that some of the characters I didn't get a chance to draw or that I didn't know enough about them.

Theres something so poetically beautiful about New Blood AND Original Sin ultimately both ending with a mixture of “yeahh.. Harry Code’s awesome! It saves lives! :D” and “buuut we also kinda mentally fucked up a child beyond repair”

Say what you want about the original show, but at LEAST its successors have something to say about Dexy. No idea where Resurrection will go, but you can bet Im curious af.

Also Original Sin was awesome in general

DAFNE'S LAST APPOINTMENT STARTS LATE AND FINISHES LATE. By the time she leaves, the sun is setting, draining color and saturation from her surroundings. She calls a Lyft to take her to the address revealed to her by Phil. It—the Lyft—is expensive. She groans as she confirms it, frustrated and aware of the fact that she has little choice.

The street features expansive, spread apart houses; the Lyft driver murmurs her appreciation, her jealous. Dafne politely agrees in a quiet and inattentive murmur. She has too much else on her mind to be envious of the rich and powerful, right now.

Dafne gets let out, and she hurries the Lyft driver off despite her questioning (Are you sure this is the right house? Is there someone to let you in? It's gotten so late...). She creeps towards the wrought iron gate separating the Key house from the rest of the world. She finds a small call box with a speaker. She dials.

The sound drones.

And drones.

“Welcome to Blue River Acres,” Darcy greets, hands falling atop her 7 year old daughter’s shoulders. “I’m Darcy and these are my kids, Ryder and Annabelle. Here at Blue River Acres we have 4.5 acres of land that house this house, a guest house, and a stable with caretakers quarters. Each room has its own thermostat so feel free to adjust the ac to your liking. The master and two bedrooms on either side of it are off limits for obvious reasons but there are 6 other rooms available for your choosing. The guest house has some arcade games, a small stage for karaoke and if you play an instrument, and a pool table. There are 3 suites in the guest house so if any of you want to crash over there, feel free. Both this house and the guest house will be fully stocked at all times. There’s a fire pit, a koi pond with a waterfall, and an oversized spa or hot tub as some prefer to call it. The stables currently house six horses soon to be eight as we have a mare currently pregnant with twins, if anyone would like to give horseback riding a go I’m more than happy to show you the ropes, figuratively and literally. Within the stables is a caretakers quarters with a kitchen so someone can stay there, as well as an office, which is off limits, and a gym. Any questions?”

George and Paul are both Larry David characters but not in the same way. George is a recurring character on Seinfeld who refuses to put his cigarette out and sleeps with everyone's girlfriend. Jerry confronts him in an outdoor restaurant even though he thinks it's a gray area because his girlfriend claims to have asthma. He gets kicked out for making a scene, this sparks a conversation between George and his girlfriend and they sleep together.

When Jerry sees him again after a few years, he looks extremely ill, but Jerry can't figure out if it's lung cancer or AIDS because they both make sense. He's obsessed with finding out, but there's no polite way to ask so he figures after George dies he can just act surprised and say "Him?! What happened?" but then George gets hit by a bus.

Paul is a one-off on Curb Your Enthusiasm who makes an extremely tone deaf, self-aggrandizing documentary on 9/11. Larry laughs during a screening because it's so bizarre, but then it goes around that Larry laughed at 9/11 and he's ostracized by society and Paul wins several awards (partly because people are eager to show they take 9/11 seriously after What Larry Did.)

“You’re cute when you blush,” Lorelai offered, laughing softly as she rose to her feet. “Not flirt in just stating facts, definitely don’t want to end up on the wrong side of your girlfriend. “Please, do you know how long it took me to get sutures right. A little butterfly stitch is nothing more than a bandaid in comparison. I could teach you some things though. Basic first aid so you could help with some of the lesser injuries when needed.”

"Awe, you're going to make me blush," he jokingly said as he looked around, finding some blankets and laying it besides her. "I swear, you make it look too easy - like even someone like me could do it. But please don't try that, I do not want to be responsible for any bodily harm," he laughed
