Hello! I was just wondering what you meant by using the Internet Archive for the bbh vods. Do you want me to upload them there?

oh hey! I just mentioned the internet archive since sometimes vods can be privated or deleted on youtube, which goes against the point of archiving them.

I was on the rats smp s1 vod archiving team, and we used a mix of both youtube and archive. i remember we chose to use archive partially bc some members of rats smp didnt want re-uploads of their vods on youtube to avoid viewership stealing or whatever, but i dont think that'll be an issue with bbh lol

i cant quite remember the benefits and negatives of both platforms, but imo internet archive would be longer preserved (even in the long long run) but youtube vods would probably be more watched.

#id also really reccomend getting a team to help preserve vods #can help with tech issues in opposition to time limits of vods running out #though obv we were looking at ALL members while youre only looking at one i presume #i also reccomend spreadsheets to help track this stuff. we wouldnt have done nearly so much archiving without our spreadsheets #i also just prefer the feeling of uploading on archive #feels less like its been released to the nebulous void and more like putting it on a bookshelf #but thats just a me thing #sorry if this info isnt useful at all btw lol its been ages since i did any preservation and i wasnt even that active on the team depsite #setting it up lol #also i do think its super cool that ur doing this btw!!!!!!! thank you for your service against the greatest threat to mcytdom #twitch streamers and their FREAKING vod archiving
