2k12 April - Sweet Treats OC Ask Game
| Sweet Treats OC Ask Game
Tumblr media
She dosen't get much love here but lets give her a bit anyway, I honestly added her originally cause im a fan of april and leo as a ship in 12 XD and reason shes the only April I have is due to me feeling shes kind of the easiest for me to write cause hot take 12 April became very bland after awhile that any personity given is an improvement XD I promise I don't hate her. I like her best in season 1 personally and like thes bit in season 2 when she wasn't talking to the turtles. since I feel there was some focus on her.
Tres Leches Cake: Describe your character in three words.
Indecisive: Well I'm not a fan of either Caprail or Apritello I DO say it shows this trait in April. With my own take being made in her but my muse so ofc that's what you gonna get XD I feel April always just figured she would live a normal life. But, literally everything in her life makes that not possible. I feel Casey was a chance for normal to still happen but Donnie was accepting. Why the 'chemistry' with Casey feels so forced and the chemistry with Donnie tends to always be so awkward.
Stunborn: April is a very stunborn charater a lot in season one she tends to join in on the turtles missions even when they tell her not to. She finds a way to somehow get involved like pretending shes a cop or a pizza delivery boy. Not to mention the times she insisted on being able to join the turtles on mission well start being fairly new to her training
Smart: It's like a goes without saying thing April is smart she is the daughter of a scientist after all so it makes sense she smart when it comes to some subjects, and it's said that shes able to help Donnie out at times herself. And of course she helps Casey with his homework so he can stay on the hockey team.
Fruit Tart: How does your character feel about spring? What’s their favorite and least favorite thing about the season? Lemonade: How does your character feel about summer? What’s their favorite and least favorite thing about the season? Pumpkin pie: How does your character feel about fall? What’s their favorite and least favorite thing about the season? Gingerbread: How does your character feel about winter? What’s their favorite and least favorite thing about the season?
XD okay it might seem lame but im going to group the seasonal ones cause I feel the answers can be super short and personally I'm not fully sure when it comes to April XD
I feel April is more fan of the warm seasons like Summer and Spring, when the sun is out the weather is nicer the sky is clear this may lowkey sound mess up but I feel she came to love the mere fact she could just enjoy the sun and such with out fear if anything it reminds her how 'normal' she herself can be. But I feel its also why she tries to get the turtles chances to get a sense of it as well. Basically shes able to see the things she took for granted then meeting her friends who can never experience those things? She loves the idea of getting to be out in open with so they can enjoy the sun on their shells. I feel April often helps set up trips for them along with Casey to go to his family's place in New Hamtomp she loves hanging out there with them since its one place they can all be in the open. Shes fine with Fall and Winter as well, it dose give her more time to be with the turtles since well not much todo if its snowing or raining a lot. Shes not a fan of them either herself.
Chocolate Covered Peanuts: Describe one character who’s sweet and another character who’s salty.
Personally? i think April can be both she can be a very sweet person she clearly cares about the turtles a lot even happy to help them with anything they may need or just want. She is pretty quick to find ways for the turtles to enjoy normal life as well like going out for Halloween and sneaking them out todo something that isn't beating someone up.
April has her moments like the whole getting mad at the turtles when her Dad got mutated event, how she can be with Donnie, and then I think about how she kind of can be entitled thinking her self on par with karai when it comes to being ninja mostly I'm just thinking of how April was when Karai stole her weapon and made her prove she should even have it. I don't think shes ever like being a bitch personally I say it can fall on to the indesicveness and other factors at times like her pure wish for normal.
Ice Cream: How does your character feel about the cold?
It's not for April, shes much more for the warmth and sun compared to snow or rain even.
S’mores: Is your character an outdoorsy person?
Sort of? April isn't against nature herself but shes ins't someone who really wants to go out into the woods just cause. She would cause it could be fun of course like friends mention going camping out taking a trip to apple pick but it's not like something she is actively seeking out to do but she's not like 'ew nature' either but only if she still can have some comforts of home XD she ain't going full wildness here.
Milkshake: How does your character deal with change? Do they prefer a consistent routine, or do they like to shake things up?
Oh I'd say April is the worst when it comes to change like I stated before I feel like something of a lost aspect to her charater is how much she wants for a normal life, hanging out with friends, doing teen things like seeing movies and just hanging out. SO when mutants came into hjer life? she didn’t always take it best with her dad being gone and such I feel that didn’t help but she tried her best to keep things as normal as she coul when splinter felt she needed to stay in the lair she wasn’t happy either, when the turtles were causing mutations by mistake ofc she once again tried to return t a normal life with no mutants in it. Even when she tried being friends with casey he was more into the weirdness of the city and she still wanted nothing to do with it. But when Casey did learn about the guys she felt a sense of normal because she could have someone who knew about this other part of her life and I feel that helped her settle a bit better. Which is why I do like the friendship with Casey XD sorry the frced romance ruined it so much for me that I just cant like them romanticly but you know that already XDD
Smoothie: What would your character do on a warm day at the beach?
April would likely do the usual thingsat the beach lay out in the sun playing in the water, go to the boardwalk eat some food likely read as well
Iced Coffee: Describe how your character runs errands. When they have things to do, do they just get up and leave, or do they make a list and a plan?
Aprll is very much a type A person, she tends to always go in with a sense of a plan she is far more flexiable then most meaning shes able to handle anything that might make a change in her plans. Say if you dad needed her to grabbed stuff for one dinner but the store didn’t hav like pasta sauce, the one they like she would ither find what could be used for the flaovor they like like say tey like a garlic mushroom she just grab a garlic nd a mushroom or grab a mushroom and use garlic at home. She also sometime might sewe somethign for the turtles or that could be used for studying with Casey and she’ll grab it just cause it happens to be there. She likes being able to stick to a plan like seeing a movie with the turtles but if something comes up like a foot attack suddenly or Raph storming out cause someone pissed him off again she tries for ome course correction to something else or attempt to keep the plan as is best that she is able to make happen.
Donut: Describe your character’s morning routine.
She’s an early riser even with late nights here and there, she takes at best 30mins in the bathroom between hygeing and doing her hair and getting dressed, she eats a small breakfast when she tends to hang with her dad, she now squeezes in time to see the turtles before school, seeing as they tend to be getting ready t go to sleep so it lets her see if they need anything before they wake up that she can get for them. I imagie she meets up with Casey if he happens to be there too or on the way and walks to school with him.
Brownie: What would your character do if they suddenly became rich? (Or, if they are rich, describe how they spend their money.)
April seems to be at best well off her dad likely makes a decent amout of money if she was able to fed for herself for months at a time when he was kidnapped and later mutated with out seeming to worry about the rent of her place or getting food and such XD so in truth i feel she be good with her funds and ifanything? She just spend the extra money towards the turtles to help them out more.
Sugar Cookie: Does your character enjoy decorating their space or do they prefer keeping things plain?
ZThe one sort of glimise of her room we do get is not a lot, but I feel April lieks to keep her space a bit more open and clean, she has things like a desk and bookcases but its not like she has her room decorated much beyound just like what is needed her room is a place for her to be alone and rest or do school work not really where she wants a mess in.
Strawberry Pretzel Salad: Describe where your character lives. What’s special about it? Does your character like it?
April lives with her dad in a two bed room Ney York aparment she seems to be on a higher level snce she can get to her room fm a fire escapse. I imagie it’s not very specise cause Ney York but also because it seems like her dad isn’t home often due to work at times so its good the place is smaller but im sure her Dad dosen’t need a lot ofspcae himself. Her home is kept neat and clean not much clutter around the place still it’s lived in family photo schoola wards on the wall her dad’s degress even its cozy and tight nit uwu
Caramel: Describe your character’s problem-solving abilities. Do they easily get out of sticky situations, or do they flail until help arrives?
April is a good person to have around en it comes to needing soultions shes like a nice combnation of Leo and Mikey I say in that shes good about planning ahead but she can also thik on her feet. I feel her first run in with Karai shows this best she used her limited training at the time o help herself, shewasn’t able to really use her weapon and ready to fold till she mentioned her mother and saw that gave her an opening with Karai that she used to kicked her down the stairs to the sub way. She has learned to trust her intuution but also still tries to plan on her feet when shecan well keeping in mind plans need to change.
Cupcake: How well can your character cook and bake?
I feel April can at least cook and liekly handles most of it for herself and her dad shes not really a baker though I think she is awful at it hr stuff looks as bad as it tasts but she just gets upset when told her cookies are salty XD
Tiramisu: Describe your character’s layers. How do they appear to others on the outside? What are they like on the inside?
I feel April at her surface is a very normal person, she likes to go to school she loves to hang out with friends, she enjoys watching movies and readign romance fantasy stoires.
Under that she can be stunnborn and indecisve and just crave a need for normacy at all times because it gives her a sense of control over her life if she can know what to expect then she can ahndle any issue that may pop up like slipping on a test or running late to school.
Getting invovled with the turtles I feel did show her she sometimes needs to be able to roll with the punch things will not go how she thinks and she needs to be ready to handle it, I also feel like she isnt great at handling emotions either it comes down to the whole need to have control of what is going on in her life. Sadly she cant control her own emptions let alone those around her being someone who can feel others emotions just makes that a bit more ticky for her.
Crème brûlée: Oh no, your character just started a fire. How would they react?
I say she gets started but knows howto handle it, she grew up with her Dad so she knows how to put of fires but will get annoyed if anyone dose it for her double so if they make the fire worse.
Birthday Cake: How does your character celebrate their birthday?
I feel April’s birthday hasn’t been the same for her since she lost her mother sure she celebrates with her dad but that’s just her and him buying a little cake and eatting out at nice restruant nothing else she gets excited for it sure but just cause it’s a speical day she likes when shes told happy brithday but wont care if it’s forgotten either

FLEKKERØY, a Colin Archer, Norwegian Pilot Cutter.

Photo: SVEN JOHANSSON/SJÖHISTORISKA MUSEET
FLEKKERØY is named for the southern Norwegian island from which she originally operated. She’s shown here in 1940 in an image taken from the deck of a Swedish freighter.
FLEKKERØY Facts
FLEKKERØY is a double-ended pilot cutter built in 1936 in Høllen, Norway. Her keel, stem, and sternpost are of white oak. Her 5″ (sided) frame futtocks are of Norwegian pine, which makes each double-sawn frame 10″ wide; they are spaced about 20″ on center. The planking is 2″ white oak fastened with trunnels measuring 1¼" in diameter. The trunnels have conical heads, go all the way through the frames, and are split and wedged on the inside. The deckbeams are of roughly 6″ × 6″ pine and rest on 3″ × 8″ sheer clamps, also of pine. The deck planking is 2″ pine. The deckhouse, stanchions, covering boards, and caprail are of white oak.
Tumblr media
The boat measures 40′8″ on deck, and is about 57' overall if you count the spars. Her beam is 15′2″ and draft is 6'. Her volume is 17.04 GRT, and she displaces 55,000 lbs. She is rigged as a gaff cutter with a mast measuring 53′ from the waterline, and a retractable bowsprit. Her sail area of 1,345 sq ft is divided into four sails: a mainsail of 610 sq ft, a staysail of 245 sq ft, a jib of 335 sq ft, and a topsail 155 sq ft. We also have two smaller jibs and one bigger one.
For no-wind conditions, she is equipped with a British Leyland 113-hp six-cylinder diesel engine, with a 4:1 PRM gearbox and a 32″ Variprop feathering propeller. She has no outside ballast, so ballast consists of 9,000 lbs of lead ingots placed in the bilges. The rudder is of white oak and is hung outside on the sternpost and steered with a tiller. She has a Windpilot servo-pendulum windvane selfsteering system. The anchor windlass is a manual two-speed double-action Simpson-Lawrence with 300′ of ½″ chain and an 88-lb Rocna anchor as the main bower. There are no other winches onboard.
For heat we have a Kabola diesel pot burner of 4.6W, and a Webasto diesel cabin heater of 5kW.
Lighting consists of a mix of kerosene and electric lamps. Cooking is done on an Eno propane stove with two burners and an oven. The Kabola also has a cooking top. We have a cooler with electric refrigeration, but when the water is cold, the bilges work just as well. The tankage is 135 gallons of fuel and the same amount of fresh water. Communications are made via mail (the one with stamps), VHF radio, HF radio, and the occasional WiFi connection.

Ooh ooh, if you’re still taking prompts, maybe Jerott + K?
K. On the edge of consciousness
The little row-boat rolled and bobbed, but Jerott managed to get one arm over its edge. Its last oarsman was dead, his body sprawled against the bulwark, arrows blooming from a stained cross on his chest. Jerott did not know him.
He gasped through the warm Mediterranean water that streamed from his hair and coated his lips in accompaniment to each playful slap of water against the boat's side. The arm he had over the wooden caprail had begun to shake, and cold was seeping into his extremities as shock battled with the strictures of training. Still, he would not release his hold on the other man whose body trod the purple water next to him.
Lymond was fully conscious, but the distant look of horror remained in his wide eyes, and Jerott's fingers clasped bruisingly around his arm lest he disappear beneath the surface again. Gripping with two pale hands onto the same side of the boat, Lymond seemed oblivious to Jerott's fierce grasp. His hair, run through by the wine-dark sea, clung to his skull and neck like a cap, and he shivered as violently as Jerott's right arm. Exhausted, he was lost in a vision of calamity.
"You get in first," Jerott told him, shifting his hold to encourage Lymond to heave himself on board.
His lips moved silently, once - O mill... - and then Lymond's sharp jaw was set and he pulled himself up, tearing free of Jerott's hand, sending the boat into a riot of movement. It jinked and rocked, and Jerott clung to it with his damaged arm as Lymond's escape from the sea unleashed a new assault of saltwater on his face and head. Lymond's lithe form shimmied over the bulwark without trouble, his sodden, ruined leather boots finally flicking over the edge like the tail of a cetacean in a dive.
It felt like victory, to know that Gabriel was dead and Francis was alive. Lymond was safe, for now, in a vessel and fit to leave the bloody shores of Zuara behind - that was a victory.
The thought made Jerott breathe easy. His fists unfurled and his eyelids drooped as the water rolled beneath him, the waves buffeting his body in rhythmic insistence. He had deferred acknowledgement of the pain in his wrist through the battle and the rescue, and now it came back with its gnawing teeth, agony like poison in his bones, or fire that spread to blaze in his shoulder and elbow as they worked to compensate for the weakened wrist.
He slipped, and took a mouthful of sea as his chin fell beneath the waterline.
"No you don't." Coming from above, Lymond's voice sounded low and angry. Sharp fingers hooked into Jerott's sodden clothes, scrabbling for purchase.
Jerott grimaced, but this new discomfort drove back the black that had been edging in on his vision. He shook his hair from his face and got both arms secure on the caprail. His powerful legs kicked and Lymond's wiry strength pulled at his shirt and back until Jerott fell unceremoniously onto the deck.
He rolled aside but the deck was small, and the corpse of the other man was already rigid. Gasping, with Lymond's fingers still tangled in the wet cotton of his shirt, Jerott lay between the dead soldier's feet and Lymond's warm, rising chest. He blinked, and opening his eyes afterwards seemed like the hardest thing in the world. Above him the sky was the colour the sea had been: soft as royal velvet, sprinkled with stars like precious jewels. On the edge of consciousness, Jerott turned his face against Lymond's chest and listened to the other man's heart galloping like a charger.

Dockmate boarding platform
Tumblr media
Teak decking continues all the way up to the bow. There isn’t a weld visible in the polished stainless-steel rails either. Elongated rails are mounted to varnished teak caprails and top out at 35” ( 88.90 cm). Engine room vents are to the insides, so they remain protected by the 26” ( 66.04 cm) high bulwarks from salt spray. The Summit 54 has a symmetrical layout, so the side decks remain at an average 19” ( 48.26 cm) width to both port and starboard. With everything in the closed position, a switch electrically lifts the whole transom, exposing a large storage compartment. All of this is under the protection of a hardtop, extending from the flying bridge, 7’ (2.13m) feet off the deck. The seating wraps around a beautifully finished table with intricate inlay work. It begins with U-shaped seating, center-mounted, in between two gates that lead out to the swim platform. There are boarding gates to both sides of the aft deck, and this will be the first of many social zones that guests will come to appreciate. Simply stated, she has the quality of a Krogen… with speed. But make no mistake, there are no cut corners and compromises in this yacht. This has more of a modern look, and indeed a contemporary feel, as we walk through the open spaces. Espinoza, doesn’t have that old world yacht-style with varnished wood everywhere. There’s also another big departure from the traditional Kadey-Krogen in that the interior, designed by J.C. Now, owners have a choice of taking her up to over 23 knots or extending the range to over 1200 nm by dropping her down to 7.5 knots. You know, the type that goes slow and forever… as in across an ocean! But we live in a faster world now and Kadey-Krogen is adapting to it by launching the Summit 54… a yacht with the same build quality and attention to detail, but on a Michael Peters designed planing hull. The Summit 54 represents a completely new direction for Kadey-Krogen, and it’s the first build for the company on a planing hull.įor over 40 years, Kadey-Krogen has been known for making premium built distance-cruising trawlers.

Oh, come all you hardy haddockers, who winter fishing go,  And brave the seas upon the banks in story winds and snow,  And ye who love hard driving, come listen to my lay  Of the run we made from Portland in the Mary L. Mackay.    We hung the muslin on her, [as] the wind began to hum,  Twenty hardy Nova Scotiamen chock full of Portland [bootleg] rum,  Mainsail, foresail, jib and jumbo on that wild December day,  As we passed Cape Elizabeth and slugged for Fundy Bay.    We slammed her by Monhegan as the gale began to scream,  Our vessel took to dancing in a way that was no dream.  A howler o'er the toprail [or taffrail or caprail or topsail]  We steered Sou'west [her East] away;  She was a hound for running was the Mary L. Mackay.

Famoso mento soffi: Antrace chitarrista Scott Ian
Kanye West, Idris Elba, Il Rock, Brad Pitt, Brad Paisley, Leonardo DiCaprio, e in Comune hanno tutti indossato cerchio barbe—così Guy Fieri.
Famoso cerchio barbe: Guy Fieri, Kanye West, Idris Elba, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Frederick Douglass, Comune, Manny Pacquiao, Brad Pitt, Brad Paisley, Jim Roma, etc.
Famoso disconnesso pizzetti: Johnny Depp, Tupac, Adam Driver, John Paul White, Michael B. Jordan
Famoso Van Dykes: Anthony Van Dyck, Wild Buffalo Bill Cody, Carlo I, Pierce Brosnan
Famoso Anchor Barbe: David Beckham, Tony Stark
Famoso Trasandato Capre: Tom Hardy, Chris Millington
Krebs era pigro, demotivati, poco intelligente, e usato parole come “mi piace” e “daddy-o”.

Tips on Buying a Boat: Seven Tips on What You Should Look For When Investing In Watercraft
I discovered sailing many years ago and found it to be a wonderful way to enjoy time with friends and family as well as a way to get away from the office and become totally entranced and absorbed with a world that I did not know existed. I love to sail, so much that I became a certified American Sailing Association Sailing Instructor. It has been 30 years now that I've sailed the Chesapeake Bay, East Coast U.S.A. and the Caribbean Islands and I've been fortunate to have owned a number sailing vessels, currently two Beneteau sail boats. I'm often asked by my students what to look for when making an investment in a sailing vessel. I often share the following seven tips and hope that you too may find some value in them. First carefully examine where you expect to use your boat, long term. Will it be on the Ocean, trans-Ocean, near the shore, in a Bay, on the Caribbean or all of the above. If you plan to sail Ocean or trans-Ocean then be sure that the construction is class "A" or rated for extended off shore passage making. Beware of the buying philosophy "I'll buy a smaller boat now and get a bigger one later." If you're buying new you will suffer two large depreciations. If buying used, the money you put into the first boat to bring it up to your own personal standards and needs will go a long way to paying a down payment or many monthly payments on the second boat. You will be upgrading the second boat anyway. Buy now what you expect to own for 5-10 years. Take into account the area where you will be sailing and who you will be sailing with. Decide on the type of berths that will be suitable for you, your family and your guests. For example, aft doubles aligned with the axis of the boat or an aft double that runs across the boat port to starboard. Although the latter tends to be larger and more comfortable in the slip it is definitely not a sea going berth. How easily does the main salon table convert into a berth and is it sturdy enough to do so repeatedly? In a pinch or in good weather can any one sleep in the cockpit? What is your likely cruising range? If just 2-4 days then water and diesel tankage can be respectively 20 and 80 gallons or less. If it is 5-10 days then a minimum would be 50 and 160. If you buy a boat with say 100 gallons diesel and 2-300 gallons water then the designer will have given up berth space to accommodate the tankage. Depending on the size of the boat the left over space may not be well utilized until you reach say a 50 ft. long boat. Look for living and storage space that is well utilized. Odd placement of the main salon settees, chart table and galley may indicate poor utilization of space and hence you may be paying good money for little advantage. Boats that are heavy displacement, say 28,000 lbs for say a 42 ft. boat rather than say 17,800 lbs for a medium displacement, 42 footer will need 10- 15 knots of wind to develop any kind of "feel" at the helm and in many locations such as the Chesapeake Bay with winds typically 5 - 15 knots in the summer you may have purchased a very nice well equipped power boat. However these heavy displacement cruisers are excellent for extended off shore passage making and live-aboard sailing either in the Caribbean or the U.S.A.. One of the best tips, If you are a first time sailor and want to buy a boat in the 25 to 50 ft range, is to sail with someone who knows how to sail, take a sailing class and then charter a boat in the length range that interests you. Picking a boat with out sailing a boat of similar size is risky although many have done it successfully. Keep in Outboard Piston Kits that many of the modern designs of the last 10 years are designed specifically for two people to sail easily whether in the Bay or in the ocean. Lastly, do insist on a survey. If the boat has any of the defects listed below find out the cost to correct them if you are expecting the boat to pass the insurer's surveyor. Insurers have their own requirements. Your insurance agent and the surveyor should be working hand in hand. This is where a purchaser of a used watercraft can suddenly be faced with unexpected costs. Costly defects include but are not limited to: Soft or cracked gellcoat on the deck. Deck leaks around windows, masts, caprail, traveller or through deck fittings. If the engine that has stood idle for more than 6 months diesel may be contaminated with bacterial sludges, have pistons seized, injectors blocked and electrical system contaminated with water. Insist on at least a 2-4 hour run in the water at cruising speed. Check for undue vibration, overheating, proper charging of the batteries and that the engine can come up to its cruising rpm. If the boat is more than 6 years old have the surveyor check that the engine mounts are OK and particularly that all mounting bolts are intact. Two can be broken without any obvious signs or effects. When #3 breaks the engine is loose! This is a common problem on older boats that encounter rough waters while under power and can easily be overlooked by the surveyor. Obviously you will need an out of the water inspection. Check for blisters, gellcoat cracks, soft spots, shaft play in the cutlass bearing and loose rudder bearings, hull integrity around through hulls and the gap between the hull and the top of the keel which should be filled with sealant else corrosion of the keel may have caused the keel to separate from the hull. Rigging should be checked by a rigger and all running rigging must be overhauled end-to-end to detect hidden chafe.
