⛈️ He’s over-possessive of the people he loves, especially his baby

⛈️ He’s lost so much, most to his own actions, so the idea of losing someone so close to him? His friend/partner? Or his baby? He couldn’t bare the idea. He won’t bare the idea.

⛈️ He has a nasty habit of overbabying you, making you feel small when you should be big

⛈️ How? Easy, he’ll just do things for you!!

⛈️ Why would you need to tie your shoes? Raiden can do it for you

⛈️ He’ll put his hand on your shoulder, guiding you through things you might be able to do completely fine normally

⛈️ Getting colorful designed bandaids even when your big and insist that a normal bandaid would work too

⛈️ Normal Lord Raiden has an accident of looming over people, but most times doesn’t notice it

⛈️ But Dark Lord Raiden? He’s constantly looming over you, sometimes accident, other times to make sure your okay

⛈️ He’s very tall, and it’s easy to feel tiny around him (it’s almost like that’s what he wants . . .)

⛈️ In fact, that is what he wants!! You can’t get too hurt when your small!! Babies really shouldn’t be training or doing dangerous big kid things, and get to stay right next to Dada! Dada can easily protect you! He’ll make sure you don’t get hurt! <3

⛈️ While I’ve described Dark Lord Raiden as overprotective and . . . a bit insane - He does love you with his heart soul and body

⛈️ I mean, of course he loves you!! Your his good friend/partner, and at times he’s sweet little baby, how could he not precious you?

⛈️ Other than all ^ That stuff, he’s quite similar to his old self

⛈️ He’s a little more loose on certain rules, as long as it makes his baby happy

⛈️ More candy after dinner? Normal Lord Raiden would set his foot down, but anything to make Dark Raiden’s baby smile

⛈️ However, he’s more stricter on ‘dangerous’ rules, like going near outlets or certain objects in the kitchen (he’ll watch you like a hawk in the kitchen)

⛈️ But all punishments (like timeout or the stairs) have been moved off the table!!! He could never make you cry or hurt you

⛈️ One thing that might make you cry or trigger your regression sometimes is that when Raiden gets angry, loud scary thunderstrikes will be heard outside

⛈️ They’re rarely directed towards you, but he’ll make sure that your okay and he didn’t scare you too badly

⛈️ It takes a lot of conversation to let him ‘allow’ you to be more independent while small

⛈️ No one is good enough to watch you, not in his eyes

⛈️ But he’ll allow playdates and supervised babysitting!! His Brother is his main go-to for these things, but the Earthrealmers will do fine as well

⛈️ His favorite little activity with you is storytime

⛈️ He gets to have you in his arms, most likely bottle/sippy feeding you, reading a nice little story that he knows you love

⛈️ ^ It also counts as cuddle time!! :D (He’ll get another actual cuddle time later though)

⛈️ As established Dark Lord Raiden (Lord Raiden in general) is very tall!! This also means he’s super strong, as the Protector of Earthrealm

⛈️ Which means he’ll have no trouble carrying you everywhere!! <3

⛈️ Your too small to walk, and crawling might hurt your little knees!! We can’t have that happen, now can we?

⛈️ Of course he’ll let you run around for playtime, especially for bigger regressors

Thankfully, 💨 CG!Fujin can always hold his baby big brother! He'd even spin him around and take him flying. And the other mortals (champions, Special Forces, etc) start to work out and train more so they'll eventually won't be struggling when they carry the little thunder god.

❥ Xiao: Strength impresses him. He’s used to protecting others, but if you can hold your own, it’s both a relief and a bond-builder. He might even secretly admire you more than he lets on.

The sun was too bright. Clothes too itchy. It was loud. Loud, itchy, bright - Aether was so tired of it all. The sun beating down on him, the hilichurls chanting and screaming, the grass itching against his back. Aether was so tired of the wilderness. Everything screamed at him to go back and find find his papa or dada; the world was too harsh for a baby who simply wanted to be loved.

Albeit his yearns (and small tears) Aether didn't turn back to head for his carers - no he couldn't. He had to keep moving and find his sister. It didn't matter if Aether's legs felt like jelly has he stepped back on to Liyue Harbor from Inazuma; nothing mattered until he found his sister.

Paimon steadied Aether as he stumbled on the dock, body adjusting to the steady world (and a world twice his size, he feels so smallsmallsmall). "Hey traveler! I think maybe we should take some downtime" Paimon's voice trailed off towards the end.

"No Pai'on can't, we gots to go Su'eru" Aether sniffled and shouldered off Paimons hold. Everything around him was rapidly growing, his head was fuzzing at the seams, and Paimon was being too caring.

Streets in Liyue were loud, they were loud and crowded and tootootootoo much. It was suffocating, Aether needed out. He needed out, he needed papa and dada Diluc and Kaeya.

"Hey goldie!" Hands lifted Aether up under his armpits, pulling him away from the crowd, the noise, the suffocating feeling. "It seems like I came at the right time, huh?" Kaeya stood in front of Aether, smiling up at the boy he held.

Carefully Kaeya shifted Aether onto his hip, moving them out of the crowd. "Hey Paimon, what are you guys doing here in Liyue?" As Aether lifted his head up to respond Kaeya quickly ruffled his hair while moving the boys head to his shoulder.

Paimon floated up to match Kaeya's height and grinned, "We just got back from Inazuma! The traveler had to fight the Raiden Shogun and we helped her and the Kamisato clan and so many others!" As Paimon went into stories of their time in Inazuma, Kaeya worked on settling her and Aether onto his horse, deciding that the boy would probably prefer the comfort of Mondstadt.

Kaeya's horse slowed to a stop in front of Dawn Winery, turning itself slightly so Kaeya could easily get Aether off its back. "There we go bud," Kaeya lifted Aether up and back on to his hip so he could easily hitch his horse up to a post, "are you excited to see papa sunflower?"

At the mention of Diluc Aether excitedly nodded and tapped Kaeya's chest with his palm, "Papa! Hurry, hurry!!" A grin had graced the boys face as he spoke, already looking up at the porch steps. Flowers that the boy had planted by the stairs the last time he was here (the last time he regressed..) were already blooming. Had it been that long?

The porch stairs creaked as Kaeya stepped up them, walking slowly so Aether could look at the flowers and pillars (why did baby Aether always love the pillars). As the two approached the door Aether excitedly leaned over - almost toppling - to knock on the door. "Woah there sunflower! Lets not fall out of dada's hold, kay?"

Aether looked up at Kaeya, big puppy eyes staring at him as if he was going to cry. "Sorryyy, was e'cited to see papa!" Aether's voice rose a little at the end of his apology covering the soft squeak of the front door opening.

"Oh my, my pumpkin has come to visit!" Diluc watched as Aether excited leaned over and reached out to him. A grin blessing his face, he hadn't seen his papa and dada in so long! It felt like eons since they were able to see each other - partially due to Paimon and Aether being locked away in Inazuma and partially due to Aether shoving his regression away.

Now that the blond was wrapped in his papa's arms he could not remember why he ever shoved the fuzzy feeling away. Deep within his subconscious though Aether knew there was a reason, of course he did. Every day he had to remind himself of it so he would keep up the act; he had to keep shoving it away (for the betterment of those around him).

Diluc squeezed Aether's cheeks, dragging the boy out of his own head. "Hey pumpkin, do you want juice or milk?" The question was spoken softly, almost as if Diluc was afraid of breaking the kid with his voice. Each option was resembled with different colored cards in Diluc's hands, an option for if he was nonverbal at the moment (he was, Aether always loved how his carers knew him so well).

Juice was soon brought to Aether and Kaeya dropped down next to boy, "Now what are we playing bud! We have stuffies and we have blocks?" A bag of blocks sat in front of Aether along with a small collection of the stuffed animals that he kept in Dawn Winery's spare room.

Quickly Aether grabbed a stuffed animal and forced their paws into his hands so he could make the animal pick up and stack blocks. "Ooo Mr. Hops is building!" Diluc leaned over the couch and smiled, "what is being built?" Aether looked up and grinned before putting a finger in front of his lips and mouthing 'secret' at both boys.

With that, the three spent the rest of the day running around and playing. Aether 'forcing' (it was simple puppy eyes, the brothers Cannot resist them) Diluc to give him a piggyback ride, and Kaeya helping him hide grapes they snuck from the vines. <3

I loved this Raiden headcanon with a child soldier reader! how about this I would like a Chinese male reader who was a child soldier who lived a (somewhat) normal teenage life and then was rescued, the prodigy reader in martial arts at such a young age, but using these skills for self-defense, I feel like Raiden's relationship together with the reader, whether mentor and student or vice versa, but both respect and admire each other, I was inspired by Shang Chi's film The Legend of the Ten Rings

As a Chinese, I can confirm we are all martial arts prodigies who have mystical powers like Shang Chi. I watched that movie when it came out, by the way, it was ok.

MGR!Raiden x Chinese!Male!Reader headcannons

-Raiden was on a work trip to China when he was told about a martial arts prodigy who had recently been rescued from service as a child soldier.

-He was asked to go meet this kid for a variety of reasons, all of them professional, yet he went out of personal need, because as a former child soldier himself, he wanted to meet this exceptional and lucky young man.

-The young Chinese boy in question was very talented, fiercely intelligent, and spoke both English and his native language.

-The two hit it off pretty fast; Raiden sensed a type of kinship in this kid, and the child saw Raiden as a really cool mentor.

-Even though the child was intelligent and could do nearly everything Raiden could do already, he was still willing to learn.

-Since the child had no parents of his own, at least, none that he knew of, Raiden was more than happy to step in and become his caregiver.

-The young boy even went on to become a full fledged ninja, just like his mentor, whom he adored.

-Raiden was very proud of his little scholar too; his respect for him growing more and more by the day.

-It's clear these two will live a long and happy life together, as mentor and student to the public, but brothers in their hearts.

Elysia's Mostly Angsty Genshin Impact Headcanons No One Asked For (Spoilers)

Sure, Diluc would find Childe's blasé, insouciant attitude aggravating. But, Childe, who loves his family more than life itself, would fucking despise Diluc for what he did to his own brother.

Logically, Collei knows she was once experimented on by Il Dottore and the Fatui for their Archon Residue experiments. However, she no longer has concrete memories of this time—and has had none since returning to Sumeru.

Unbeknownst to her, this is because of Nahida. Upon Collei's return with Cyno, Nahida quickly noticed her tumultuous and often terrifying nightmares. Nahida suppressed these memories to give her peace—believing Collei's illness was terminal, and that she deserved some kind of sanctuary after all she's been through.

If he can, Zhongli actively avoids Guili Plains because he's never quite recovered from Guizhong's death. Seeing the ruins of their original assembly is simply too much for him to bear.

Draff's alcoholism and neglect of Diona has caused her "rebellious phase," as he describes it. I don't think this is rebellion, however. Diona's behaviour and perspective, particularly against the Mondstadt Wine Industry, are the rationale of a child struggling to understand why her father might choose wine over her. Of course, addiction is no simple matter, but to a child, such nuances are lost. Presently, all she can see and understand is that her father, who was once her favourite person in the entire world, would sooner spend his time at Angel Share or another tavern, than be at home with her. As such, I think Diona is hurting a lot more than she lets on.

Similarly, Klee also showcases some of the symptoms often seen of a child who has limited contact with their parent(s) or caregiver(s)—just on the opposite end of the spectrum. Players have no idea how long Alice has been away from Klee, but the context clues we have suggest it's been a substantial amount of time. In Diona's case, her longing for a functional relationship with her father has led to outbursts and anger. For Klee, her longing for her mother leads her to build familial-like relationships with the adults who are around.

Yanfei doesn't quite understand the true weight of her own immortality. Intellectually, she knows she will one day outlive her human parent and her human friends, but she doesn't truly understand what this loss will do to her. Watching her loved ones grow old and frail, perhaps even ill, while she remains strong and physically young. Only Ganyu, who is also half-Adeptus, truly knows the level of grief that will one day reshape her. But that's something Ganyu knows Yanfei must come to terms with herself, when the time inevitably comes.

Sometimes, Ei finds it difficult to look at her own reflection—and by extension, Raiden Shogun. Both remind her too starkly of Makoto, of whom she still grieves deeply.

These are mostly focused in Zhongli, Yae and Childe as I don’t particularly like writing about Raiden/Ei

~Childe definitely bites people in pet space. Just chomps and nips at everybody. It’s probably just him being playful

~Zhongli has long since gotten used to it and hardly scolds Childe even when he probably should

~The kit rubs these habits off on Yae and Raiden has definitely been bit before and was shocked because “who taught you that?!”

~Easy to say the two littles just run to Zhongli to hide behind him as though it’s the geo archon’s fault

~Yae would spend most of her time small and in her fox form, often accompanied by Zhongli in a smaller dragon form himself

~Childe is ever so slightly miffed (he’s very upset just won’t admit it) that he can’t shift into a fox himself. He sits in his caretakers lap and pouts for an exorbitant amount of time refusing to move and let Zhongli join

~Yae would definitely tease the other pet regressor to the point that Childe has probably started crying before

~Childe makes up for this with no lack of petre supplies

~ Money being no object after all so he would have a huge collection of deco pacis, headbands with fox ears, collars and fun gloves that mimic paws

This is my first post so it’s not gonna be the best and obviously ooc but the brain worms were calling to me

Backstory (Pretty long, sorry)

•Liu Kang first learned about their regression when Kung Lao returned from his mission in outworld with Johnny and Kenshi

•He and Raiden had walked to the infirmary where Kung Lao was getting checked over by healers

•There was a slight commotion in the room as they entered the room, Kung Lao cowering in the corner of the room, his knees tucked into his chest and his face his hands

•The healers tried to coerce him out of the corner as he sobbed, crying out whenever someone touched him

•Raiden knew exactly what was happening, whispering a sad, “Lao…”

•As soon as he heard his nickname, Kung Lao shot from his spot in the corner into Raidens arms, crying into Raidens shoulders crying for “Rai”

•Liu Kang and the healers stood there, dumbfounded. Raiden gave him a pleading look which Liu Kang responded to by asking for the healers to leave, agreeing to do the check up himself

•As Kung Lao calmed himself, Raiden led him to the cot in the middle of the room, allowing him to crawl into Raidens lap, wrapping his arms around his shoulders

•Raiden began explaining everything to Liu Kang. What age regression is, how they were both regressors, how they were the only ones who knew about, and that they took care of each other.

•”Something on the mission must have really set him off. I’ve never seen him this inconsolable and…small”

•As Liu Kang processed this information, Kung Laos thumb slowly found his way to his mouth

•Raiden slowly rubbed his best friends back to comfort him. Through his remaining tears, Kung Lao told them about what he had seen on the mission, Kenshi being blinded, the soul stealers, and worst of all, the horrors of Shang Tsungs Laboratory. At least, he told them the best a distraught toddler could

•Liu Kang eventually migrated to the cot next to the pair as he listened to Kung Lao

• While out of his element, Liu Kang took the time to speak: “That must have been scary, little one. But your safe now at the Academy. Both of you .”

•Lui Kang was careful with his words, but felt at ease when Raiden gave him a smile and nod. Liu Kang reached out to put an hand on Kung Laos shoulder

•Kung Lao, looked up from Raidens shoulder, but did not move away. Instead, he let out a small sigh and closed his eyes, feeling tired

•The trio stayed like that for a while, until sniffles turned into soft snores

•Raiden laid Kung Lao on the bed, covering him with a blanket

•Raiden and Liu Kang stood and headed towards the door, Raiden speaking: “I’ll watch him for now. Thank you for your understanding Lord Liu Kang. I just ask that you do not speak of this to anyone. This is important to him. To me. We handle our stress in this way. I just…would really like to keep this between us”

•Liu Kang listened intently, then put his hand on Raidens shoulder: “This is between us, Raiden. I understand that healing comes in many different forms. And if either of you need help or to be…taken care of, I am always here to help”

•While Liu Kang now understood some things about 2 of his champions he didn’t before, he wasn’t officially their caregiver

•That changed after the defeat of Titan Shang Tsung

•A knock on his personal quarters alerted him at this strange hour. It couldn’t be earlier than 1 A.M. and he never got visitors this late unless something was very wrong

•He opened the door to see a distraught Kung Lao, looking extremely worried, with a similarly upset Raiden tucked under his arm, clinging on to his shirt

•Kung Lao gave him a pleading look, speaking with a strained voice: “He’s little. He dropped a little while ago and I’m close to dropping too and I thought coming here would be bes-“

•Liu Kang cut him off by lifting Raiden into his arms and on his hip, using the other arm to wrap around Kung Laos shoulders, pulling him in the room and shutting the door behind him

•Liu Kang led them to the large bed, resting all of them in the headboard. He murmured words soft words of comfort to both of the sniffling Littles. He would figure out what upset them so much later. Right now, calming them down was his priority.

•Liu Kang had one Little tucked under each arm, softly rubbing there backs as their breathing slowed. His words were soft: “It’s ok now, sweet things. You have nothing to worry about anymore. Your safe here.”

•It wasn’t until Raiden softly murmured “Dada” that something shifted in Liu Kang. The need to protect was lit, and he felt prepared to do what he needed to in order to ensure their comfort and safety. They had entrusted him with something so precious and special and fragile. They put there most vulnerable selves in his hands. And he was damn sure gonna see to it that they knew and felt that love and care

•After that, coming to Liu Kang felt natural. It was a safe space for Kung Lao and Raiden. Eventually, Liu Kang adopted the names ‘Daddy’ and ‘Dada’. Their little gear had migrated to his room. That was when they all knew and felt that not only was Liu Kang A caregiver but THEIR caregiver

The actual HCs

•Raiden is easily the softer regressor of the two, easily regressing to very young

•His age range is usually between 1-3, but after particularly hard missions, it can get into the months

•Kung Laos spirited personality brings is age to about 3-6, but like Raiden, certain factors can lower that age to about 2

•Raiden usually spends most of his time regressed in Liu Kangs arms. On his hip, in his lap, and at bed time, being cradled

•Kung Lao has way too much energy for his own good, but he still loves getting cuddles from his CG, especially when he’s sleepy

•When Raiden is on the older end of his age range, he’ll be more inclined to play with Kung Lao, although he rarely is able to keep up

•Kung Lao loves his toy ninjas and his dinosaurs. He doesn’t like sharing with Raiden (which, to be fair, is because the toys usually end up in Raidens mouth) but Lui Kang always tells him too

•Raidens age usually make it hard for him to speak properly. The most he says is usually Dada, Baba and Lao (even though it sounds more like Ow)

•Kung Laos hat and Raidens amulet are put away AT ALL TIMES while regressed

•After many accidents, Raiden was out in diapers and Kung Lao (sometimes) where’s pull ups - he was not happy about it

•What most don’t know is that the back of Liu Kangs quarters lead to a secret entrance to the gardens. During times when nobody is supposed to be there, he’ll let his Littles play

•Kung Lao loves running around and trying to catch the butterflies

•Raiden mostly sits on his blanket and giggles when the butterflies land on his face

•These are Liu Kangs favorite moments

•After a year of taking care of his boys, he got them gifts

•Raiden got a special pacifier, a couple onesies, some wooden blocks and a story book

•Kung Lao got a pair of overalls, some shorts, a couple of awesome shirts, a Johnny Cage doll (please don’t tell Johnny) and new net to catch butterflies

•Liu Kang also put a pacifier in there for him but he doesn’t want to talk about it

•Bed time is gentle. The boys get baths, one after another. Usually Raiden gets his bath and bedtime story while Kung Laos playing one last time before bed

•Raidens bath is soft and sweet. He only lightly splashes around, giggling softly. He’ll hold the bath toys up to Liu Kang, wait for him to tell him what it is, and pick up another

•Raiden has a special bath time pacifier that wraps around his neck like a lanyard. Liu Kang has lost too many pacifiers without it

•Raidens eyes usually start to grow heavy while Liu Kang is rinsing his hair

•Once Raiden is dried and dressed, Liu Kang gives him a bottle. These moments are quiet, Raiden cradled in his arms on a rocking chair*, softly drinking the milk

•Liu Kang holds a book in one hand, softly reading to the baby. By the time the book is finished, the bottle is empty and Raidens almost asleep

•Liu Kang gently burps him and lays him down. Giving him a small forehead kiss, he leaves to start Kung Laos bath

•Bath time with his older little is VERY different

•Water is splashed and bubbles are everywher

•Kung Lao loves to race his little boats with Liu Kang (he wins every time)

•Kung Lao is much more fussy about letting Liu Kang clean him, trying to dodge the wash cloth (he loses every time)

•Eventually, like Raiden, Kung Lao is too tired to put up much of a fuss, allowing Liu Kang to quickly finish up the bath and get him dried and clothed

•Typically, Kung Lao likes his story directly from his bed, though he does like to be tucked under Liu Kangs arm

•Kung Lao ask a lot of questions during the story, which Liu Kang happily answers

•As he slowly falls asleep, Liu Kangs rubs his back softly with his free hand. At the end of the story, Kung Lao is softly snoring and Liu Kang gives him a small forehead kiss

•As Liu Kang rises from the bed, he looks at his two babies a smiles softly

•The peace he has created in this room is just as meaningful as peace that has been created anywhere else in the realms

(Wrote these with MK11 Kung Lao in mind :) )

🚅Kung Lao would go out on picnics with his friends, most likely Liu Kang and brings such delicious snacks to enjoy. Kung Lao will bring along a few trains and some tracks to set up along gardens for a pretty scene.

🦖Kung Lao will sometimes invite Kitana, Mileena, and Jade to a tea party.

🥣Kung Lao's favorite parts of the day are snack/lunch time and play time but he hates nap time. He'll settle down if you put on Dinosaur Train or Thomas but it isn't promised that he'll actually take a nap.

🚅For Christmas once, Liu Kang gifted Kung Lao a trainset and Kung Lao fell in love with it immediately, always going to play with it while in littlespace and then he realized his love for the toy trains.

🦖Around the winter holiday season, Liu Kang sets up a pretty tree while Kung Lao sets up a little train track with a festive train at the base of the tree, little giggles filling the room.

🥣 Skarlet being a painter (at least in her friendship animation) sometimes visits Kung Lao with a child's paint set and plain wooden trains for them to paint together. :3

🚅In MK11 I think Liu Kang would most likely be Kung Lao's Caregiver while in MK1 Raiden would be Kung Lao's Caregiver while Liu Kang might be busy.

Like the answer before I have a few Caregivers but I'll stick with the current two that are on my mind

Mk 11 Liu Kang

Just having him call me "little one" would be enough especially if I'm fussy or sad or happy just anytime I'm showing signs of slipping into that headspace he would just know and gently guide me to that comfort zone that I need . He's give me a fond look and speak gently his voice is so soothing guys like ...if he looked at me and called me "little one" while making sure I was comfy and happy I wouldn't be as stressed as I am now . He would make a great CG not to just me but to others as well ( I headcannon he would take care of Bi-Han[mk 1] , Shang Tsung[mk 1], Raiden[mk 1], Kung Lao[both 11 and 1] and any other kiddo that might want comfort that he would wanna provide of course but thats a whole other post lol 😅)

Just having him smile at me and call me "Kiddo/Kid" that term of endearment (and my nickname) make me so happy expecially coming from him he's my papa bear and I'm his kiddo . Summary: As promised, Noelle, Sucrose and Barbara give Lumine a tour around the school after class is over. One of the three though, is only able to concentrate on Lumine herself, which lands her in an uncomfortable situation.

Notes: Noelle is giving me so much Honami vibes, I just had to incorporate that here!! Anyways, I hope you enjoy some Lumara action :3

NOELLE

Phew, math class was so boring. Noelle rubbed her temples. She was glad classes were finally over. She took one more look at her list of plans for today.

“Let’s see. I need to go shopping for Hu Tao later.”

Hu Tao’s caregiver, Mr. Zhongli, hired Noelle to look after Hu Tao since she lived alone and had struggled to take care of herself properly in the past. Noelle usually goes shopping before her visits, where she then cleans and prepares healthy meals for Hu Tao that last her till the next time she visits.

“But first the school tour with Lumine.” She packed up her things and turned around to see that Barbara and Lumine were already heading out. “Come on, Sucrose, let’s go join them,”she grabbed her girlfriend’s hand, who also just finished packing her bag.

They headed out of the classroom and to their surprise, the two girls were already chatting lightheartedly about the classes and teachers they have this year.

She’s not as nervous anymore. Noelle couldn’t help but smile at that realisation. She had noticed Barbara’s interest in Lumine right away. Honestly, it was hard to oversee.

 BARBARA

“Oh, there they are!” Lumine waved at Sucrose and Noelle as they approached her and Barbara. She had that friendly, excited smile on her face that Barbara could feel herself getting lost in. It was that kind of smile that could make one forget all the darkness and pain of this world. At least that is what Barbara thought.

“Where do you wanna go first?” Noelle asked the group as they started making their way out of the corridor where the classrooms 3A to 3C were.

“I think we should start with the principal’s office and then show the labs as they’re on the way to the gym,” Sucrose shared her idea.

“That’s a good plan. Let’s do that!” Noelle said encouragingly, as she, Sucrose and Barbara headed in the right direction. Barbara gave Lumine a look, signaling her to follow and soon enough they were standing in front of the glass doors, leading towards the teacher’s wing.

“There is Madam Raiden’s office,” Sucrose pointed to the door at the end of the corridor. “Usually, the principal’s puppet, the Shogun, is in there. She is not as kind as Madam Raiden Ei, who you heard this morning over the speakers.”

Sucrose rambled on about the principal and the science teachers as they walked to the labs. Noelle took over when they got to the gym. Barbara on the other hand, couldn’t concentrate on the tour at all. The only thing on her mind the whole time was Lumine. The attentive expression when she listened to her guides, the glances she gave Barbara that broke into a smile every time and all the times their hands almost brushed against one another when they walked to the next stop of their tour. It all felt so special.

The group was heading back towards the main entrance when suddenly Noelle gasped. “I remembered that I still need to run some errands. Sorry, I wish I could stay a bit longer but I really have to go now. Sucrose, will you come with me?” Barely waiting for the answer, she grabbed Sucrose’s hand and led her away, giving Barbara one final encouraging glance before they turned the corner, leaving her alone with Lumine.

Wait, no no no no no, this wasn’t planned! Don’t leave me here alone. I can’t do it!

“Do you know what came up?” Lumine was clearly confused as to why Noelle had to leave in such a hurry.

“Oh,” Barbara cleared her throat, trying to gather her thoughts and ignore that Noelle had clearly left her alone with Lumine on purpose. “She’s helping a student from Teyvat High around the house. Like going grocery shopping and cleaning,” she explained.

“Ahh I understand.”

“…”

“…”

“So, uhm,” Barbara asked carefully, “what was that notebook you wrote in during break?”

“It’s uhh…”

“Ah, sorry, I shouldn’t have asked. It’s probably too private, forget I said anything.” Why would you ask that, you idiot? She doesn’t know you like that! Why the hell would she answer such direct questions?

“No, it’s okay.” Lumine interrupted Barbara’s spiralling.

Barbara looked up at her with wide eyes.

“I write stuff down that leaves an impression on me or makes me think in some way,” Lumine started explaining calmly. She seemed hesitant for a moment as she reached for her bag. “It’s not good though.” She lowered her arms again.

“Actually, I think I should be heading home now as well. See you tomorrow!” She gave Barbara one last look before turning around and muttering something along the lines of ‘Aether is probably waiting’ and rushing away.

She left without having shown her writings in the end. But nonetheless, this interaction had left Barbara curious. Anything that Lumine’s hands brought to paper had to be good, no?

I wonder if Sucrose and Noelle actually left or are still around here somewhere.

With that, she let out a breath of air and slowly made her way to the exit, where her sisters Jean and Rosaria were already waiting in the car.

“Took you long enough, come on, hop in.”

✦ Hurting people was never something Ei had intended to do. It took a while for her to come around to your regression, because she, above anything else, wasn’t sure if she could trust herself. But your constant enthusiasm and affection for her presence quickly soothes her worries.

✦ Very quiet as a carer. Takes on a teacher-like presence and encourages you to write, spell and read. Brings you things like letter blocks and abacuses-even if you don’t use them for their intended purpose, she likes to know you like them.

*Is happy to sneak you (and by extension, herself) tons of sweets. She often takes you out to cafés and bakeries under the guise of ‘getting you a treat’, only to squirrel away and share it.

✦ Very protective of you. Whenever you’re out and about, she’s holding your hand, keeping you in her sight, or hovering over your shoulder. She doesn’t fail to keep you engaged, pointing out pretty sights and taking you out on fun excursions, but everyone knows it’s hands-off of the Shogun’s little dear.

✦ Very lenient with her petnames, but mostly in private. “Darling”, “little love”, “dearest”, “sweet/heart”, so on. It’s rare you hear your own name-that’s mostly from the Shogun.

✦ Ei isn’t enthused about it, but in her absence, she leaves you with the Shogun and a comp-re-hensive list of expectations for the Android to perform for you-essentially, you won’t lift a finger.

✦ Likes when you rest on her lap, she is very inclined to petting your head, rubbing your back, generally soothing you down. It’s hard not to feel sleepy around her, and she makes it especially difficult when encouraging you to have a sip of tea, or telling you how cute you are, or bundling you up.

✦ older regressors get to fight in the dojo with her-but only her, and despite her powers, you always seem to win. Must be your excellent skill!
