I need someone to be mad with me!

Everyone is upset about Seb cheating on Carlos, and most are also upset about Big Red cheating on Ashlyn! And they should be angry because these are the 2 most WHOLESOME characters on the whole show!

But what I don’t see is people being angry about Ashlyn cheating on Big Red! Yes, they were apart, and yes they didn’t technically do anything physical, but their relationship was Emotional Cheating if I’ve ever seen it! Which in a lot of ways is worse than physical cheating. Also they almost fucking kissed! WHY IS NO ONE ANGRY ABOUT ASHLYN AND MADDOX?!?

I understand that Tumblr loves everything gay. It wouldn’t be tumblr if it didn’t. ❤️

But just because you’re figuring out your sexuality doesn’t mean you get to cheat on your partner! She could have said to Maddox “Hey, I’m in a relationship, let’s set some boundaries.” or “Hey, I really like you, but I’m in a relationship right now, so I need to figure out what I want before this goes any further.” Or she could’ve said to Big Red, “Hey, I think I’ve been feeling romantic feelings for this girl. Can we take a break so I can lean into this to help figure out who I am?” Or “Hey, I’ve really missed you, and have been texting this girl a lot. I think we’ve been flirting. I’m sorry. I think it’s best if he break up/take a break so I’m not stringing you along.”

I’m also mad that no one called her out for cheating on the show. In fact, EVERYONE WAS SUPPORTIVE OF THIS EMOTIONAL CHEATING! Did they just forget that Ashlyn was already in a relationship. Like “Hey, I know you’re figuring yourself out, but you’re with Big Red right now. Maybe you guys should break up first before pursuing Maddox any further.

Like if you wanted extra drama, instead, you could’ve literally had a scene where she’s texting Maddox all cutesie and like have like Kourtney be kind of confused bc isn’t she with Big Red, and Ashlyn get defensive because she’s not ready to receive that she’s in a wrong, so she yells at her accusing her that she’s homophobic in a way, and then a couple episodes later, Ashlyn understanding that she’s in the wrong apologize to Kourtney, and then apologizing to Big Red, and them BOTH feeling bad about what they did, but support each other’s bi journeys and still have a sweet ending but acknowledging the HURT

Because like there’s NO WAY two people who cheated on each other aren’t going to feel HURT AND BETRAYAL!

I’m just so mad. This is the worst part of the entire season (and show), and that’s saying something because I hated more things in this season such as Gina going back to Ricky when she deserves better but that’s a different post lol.

Disclaimer: Ashlyn and Maddox can absolutely be cute, but for me, only if you take away the ick of cheating.

notice how not once did Carlos mention Lando's mindset and/or mentality here?? That's my biggest takeaway, and i absolutely love and appreciate that so so much.

from what I've seen, It's the people who know Lando the best who know that his mentality is not hindering him. they know it so much so that Carlos didn't even feel the need to mention it once.

Lando has said on multiple occasions that he's the most confident he's ever been and it really shows. It's the journalists who keep forcing this narrative that Lando is cracking under the pressure, and it's just simply not true.

Yeah, I know that Lando has struggled with his confidence and his mental health as he's said, and i'm sure he still does at times, but he's grown so much since then.

He's grown so much since then and yet journalists and people in media keep pushing a narrative that's just ? not current.

"Lando's mental fragility" this, "Lando's self doubt" that. yeah well, Lando's struggles with his confidence isn't a current story anymore. Like?? that story is so in the past at this point, yet people refuse to let that storyline go. that story is so old at this point, and yet people just keep holding on to that headline.

Max already said that Lando's doing fine. Carlos didn't even feel the need to mention Lando's mentality, Seb Vettel has defended Lando, JB has said that he believes that Lando has turned a corner in terms of his confidence--what more do you want?? If these greats who actually know Lando have commended him, who are we to decide that, no, Lando is struggling and that's that?

what I'd love to hear is stories about Lando that don't touch on how he's managing his mental health. yes, a healthy amount of talk on that is great, and yes it's important, but too much is too much.

Lando has grown from all of this, so why won't the media let him grow? Lando has grown, so why won't the media grow with him?

you know what i think this season really lacked on? FRIENDSHIPS?!?!?!

No big red and ricky, no kourtney and carlos, no ashlyn and gina. we kinda had ricky and jet here and there but i was really banking on having a comfort friendship to lean on this season like in all the others and we got absolutely nothing at all that could be rescued, and that makes me so sad.

we soley focused on romantic issues and infidelities, which sucks. it’s a shame when characters’ actions revolve mostly on the romantic interest and not on a different kind of issue (Except for Kourtney, everything about her was great this season, except for the cringey dialogue). These are all such amazing characters with such incredible bonds with each other so, i don’t know, this season didn’t do it for me.
