Luo Binghe Shimeji (Extended Version!)

a couple years ago, riladoo created an adorable binghe shime! he could be picked up and tossed around your computer screens, climb around on all your windows, multiply, and all the other cute things that come in the standard base shimeji set.

more recently, i reached out to riladoo with a commission request - more action sets for binghe! over the past couple months, riladoo has worked hard to make some adorable binghe art, and i've updated all the source code and config files to accommodate the new actions! 🎉

the extended action set includes: - a 'sit and eat' idle action - two 'head patting' actions when the mouse hovers over him - a 'fall and cry' action for when he falls from tall heights - a 'land nicely' action for when you place him down gently

the original binghe shime listing on riladoo's gumroad has been updated to have all these new actions, so go grab him now!! he's free / pay what you want! 🥰

i've put more details about the new action sets + general shimeji setup tips below the cut, but otherwise -- LET THE BINGHE COMPUTER INFECTION COMMENCE !!

**these extended actions only work on windows, not mac. sorry ;w; the original shime set has a mac version, though!

Extended Action Set Details

when you download the files from riladoo, you're looking for the .zip file labeled "Updated Shime code" !

sit and eat this is an idle action that will trigger randomly the same as any other idle action. if you want to trigger it manually, you can right click the shime -> 'set behavior' -> 'sit and eat'

head pats these are 'stay' actions that will trigger automatically when you hover your mouse over the shime. i recommend hovering your mouse over his head for maximum head-pat-effectiveness! unfortunately, this action won't play if the shime is actively climbing a wall/ceiling - maybe in the future this can be extended further, but for now there are only head patting actions for sitting and standing poses :>

falling variations (crying / default / land nicely) there are now a total of 3 'falling' actions. to see the 'fall and cry' action, allow binghe to fall from the top half of your monitor. to see the standard/original 'fall and trip' action, allow binghe to fall from the low-mid range portion of your monitor. to see the 'land nicely' action, gently place binghe down at the bottom of your monitor. this means you're rewarded for catching binghe when he falls off a window - if you catch him and set him down, he lands nicely, but if you let him fall normally, he'll start crying!! 🥰

Shimeji Installation Tips

if you've never had a shimeji before - don't worry, they're super easy to install! i recommend following this video tutorial created by the person who originally created the source code for shimeji. you can skip the parts about downloading the shimeji itself - you'll get that from riladoo's website :>

if you install everything but opening the shimeji executable does nothing, download jarfix to resolve this issue.

if you follow the tutorial and update the 'interactive windows' but the shime still doesn't stand/climb on the specified windows, restart your computer to resolve this issue. alternatively, make sure you don't have any 'unexpected' monitors plugged in - a friend of mine had their shime constantly falling down through their monitor onto their screen drawpad, which was confusing until it got figured out!

if you are on mac instead of windows.... i am so sorry i actually have no idea how to help 🙇‍♂️ the original/default binghe shimeji set DOES have a mac os folder in with the downloads, but i've never tested it (don't use mac), and even if it works, it won't include the extended actions (i didn't build an executable for mac with the new code).

With your tongue poking out in concentration, you finally finish cutting your own bangs. It started with a video online, a DIY tutorial that made it look so easy and pretty. then, one impulsive decision brings you here.

you pat your bangs down, leaning closer to the mirror to admire the result.

...scratch that. you mourn the result.

“oh no…” you gasp, hand flying to your mouth in disbelief. it’s a disaster. jagged ends, uneven lengths. it basically looks like a five year old cut it with their eyes closed. you’re torn between bursting into laughter and crying on the spot.

“what happened—oh.”

Levi’s voice comes from behind the bathroom door as it creaks open. his head peeks out, and for once every blue moon, he’s visibly stunned. eyes wide, one hand hovering near his mouth, as if unsure how to react.

you immediately cover your bangs. “you scared me,” you mutter, turning slightly away as he steps into the room and closes the door behind him.

“sorry,” he says, stopping a few feet away. “i heard you gasp and thought maybe you’d injured yourself.” then, with a slight tilt of his head, he asks, “trying a new look?”

you nod sheepishly and sigh. after a moment’s hesitation, you force your hand down and motion toward your forehead with a weak little “tada,” followed by a nervous chuckle.

Levi doesn’t say a word. His face gives away nothing. he just stares at the abomination that is your bangs, completely silent.

“it’s that bad, huh?” you ask, your voice small.

he hums, stepping closer. “it’s that bad,” he agrees, honest as ever. but then, without another word, he places a hand gently at the back of your head and presses a kiss to your forehead, right over your messed up bangs, as if attempting to comfort you when he lacks the word to.

I have been mimicking Xia Fei's 'laoban!' for 5 minutes straight lmao. The way Vein looked back and we see a teared up Xia Fei... Ugh that's so nyaka of him tbh. Like a spoiled little wife, precious damsel in distress crying in relief when his husband/saviour arrives (btw when I refer Xia Fei as 'wife' and Vein as 'husband', I do not imply any kind of comphet homophobic standards, some classic/popular culture tropes just fits very well)

Lu Guang is behind Cheng Xiaoshi cause he is scared as fuck and his cat eyes are posing a threat "come near me and I'll scratch your face!" Myriad of emotions, though completely polar opposite to each other, are painted on lg and xf's faces while Cheng Xiaoshi is standing there with his signature : head emptu no thot style.

But the first shot of Vein made him look much younger actually. My red hot pookie 🎀. I need his eyeliner tutorial tho.

his character pv bloody storm continually asserts that whatever he does, he does with dignity. He may be evil but not machiavellian, that's Liu Xiao's department. And idk my *heart* says to me, he is not cruel, abusive and manipulative towards Xia Fei. He genuinely cares about him. There may be other reasons Xia Fei is important to the plot but Vein has a soft corner for him. It's a very irrational but strong innate voice that's telling me to have faith in my veifei and I will.

Actually, I have very few ships I am actually invested in. and crazy like this. I love reading different permutations and combinations of ships but I never emotionally invest. Johnlock, Wangxian, Shiguang...these are the only ships I am devoted to. But their own interpersonal relationships come from a...what should I say, 'clean' and 'innocent' and 'pure' background. It's the society and fate that brings chaos to their relationship. But Veifei is different. But I ship them with no less passion.

- Checks her location constantly. Sends her memes at midnight. Still calls her "baby girl" in front of her friends.

- She says “I hate you!” once and it shatters him for 2.5 hours, then he shakes it off and hugs her anyway.

You expect him to hum. He always does.

Soft and quiet, like he’s not even sure he means to do it.

A Sinatra song, of course—his voice low and gruff in a way that barely sounds like singing at all:

A Toast to Love and Family

Another day, another birthday celebration for Bonnie. Here's Day 2 of Bonnie being appreciated by the unexpected love of life. Consider Day 1 as the beginning of this series as these are all set in the same universe. I'm happy to introduce Ava Bennett-Mikaelson, her parents' pride, and joy. Read Part One

The former prom queen had never thought she would end up here, living a quiet life in New York with Klaus Mikaelson, of all people. After leaving Mystic Falls in the rearview mirror following her high school graduation, Bonnie never imagined that a secret romance with her greatest enemy would turn into something so… normal. They had kept their love hidden from their friends and family back home, knowing they’d never understand. But here they were, in the heart of the city, with a daughter, a home, and a new chapter they’d carved for themselves.

On this morning, Bonnie lay still beneath the covers, the sunlight filtering through the curtains. Her dreams had been heavy, the weight of her pregnancy making every movement a little slower. Yet, the sound of small feet scampering across the floor stirred her from her slumber.

“Mama’s still sleeping, Papa,” a small voice whispered, filled with both excitement and mischief. The daughter of Bonnie and Klaus was a perfect mixture of the two with her mother's eyes and her father's lips. Ava Bennett-Mikaelson tugged on Klaus’ sleeve, the monstrous man turned into a gentle giant for his child.

Klaus, standing in the doorway with a slight frown. “Breakfast? You wish for me to make breakfast?”

Ava’s face lit up, her energy too big for her small frame. “Yes, Papa! We have to surprise Mama on her birthday!”

"I’m hardly an expert in the kitchen, love.”

With a determined look, Ava handed him a tablet, her tiny fingers swiping. “We can learn, Papa! Watch YouTube with me!”

Chuckling softly, Klaus sat beside her on the couch in the living room. They found themselves watching a cooking tutorial—scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. Simple, yes. But cooking was a language Klaus had never quite learned.

Lavender, Bonnie’s sleek, black cat crawled into Ava's lap. Ava giggled, her small hands gently petting Lavender’s back. “You’re so soft, Lavender,” she whispered. The cat stretched out and nuzzled against Ava’s hand.

Klaus looked over and saw Ava’s hands now covered in a thin layer of dark fur. He knew what was coming next. “Ava,” he called lightly, walking toward her. “You need to wash your hands before we cook."

“But, Papa, Lavender doesn't have germs! She's magic!”

Klaus chuckled, "No one wants to eat food with cat fur in it and magic can still have germs."

The kitchen became a symphony of chaos. The next thirty minutes were filled with flourishes of bacon grease and scrambled eggs flying a little too far from the pan. Ava giggled as she handed Klaus utensils. "I think Mama will love it, Papa!"

By the time Bonnie’s alarm clock went off, Klaus and Ava had managed to get enough food ready to fill a small army. Klaus looked at the mess they'd created and, despite the destruction, couldn't help but feel a little proud. Ava was ready to present their masterpiece. Klaus knocked on the bedroom door before entering, carefully balancing the tray in his hands.

Bonnie stirred as they entered, her eyes fluttering open. Ava immediately burst into song, singing “Happy Birthday” at the top of her lungs, off-key but full of joy. Bonnie blinked back the sleep, her heart swelling with happiness as a stray tear or two fell. She reached for her daughter, her breath catching in her throat as she pulled Ava into her arms. Her gaze flickered to Klaus, his expression unreadable but soft.

Ava’s face fell slightly. “Mama, are you okay? Why are you crying?”

Bonnie laughed softly, wiping her tears. “These are happy tears, sweetheart. Mama’s just so, so happy.”

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" (They stood up, their mask cracking, you could feel the violent intentions, the want for, for-)

"STA-STARS!! Killing you is going to make me SO HAPPY!!" (You blink. For a split second, you saw yourself. You saw your own face in Loops.)

(You don't WANT to fight!!! But, but you, you-)

(Loop moves fast. Dashing at you with an almost claw-like hand. Without even thinking your blade was in your hand, reaching out to defend yourself. Loop grabbed your dagger by the blade.)

"Stage! Lights! Action!" (You saw the stary blood run over their hand. With a twist, Loop yanked the dagger from your hands as they talked.) "Teehee~"

"L-loop!" (You cry out. Your voice doesn't, sound like your own.) "Loop you, don't-"

"You know, in a way, I am so very proud of you!" (Loop twirls your knife threateningly.) "You did so good, stardust~! I am so proud, stardust~!"

"But-" (You weren't allowed to talk. Loop charged at you with your own knife. Something took over, you jumped to the side, feeling the knife miss your fave by a hair.)

"You beat the King! You got out of the loops! I'm so, so, PROUD!!!" (They screamed and held out a scissors sign. A wave of craft hit you like a ton of bricks, sending you flying back. You could barely get to your knees again when Loop charged at you.)

"Do you know how long it took for me to beat him?" (Swing, swing, swing, swing-) "Hundreds, thousands, TENS OF THOUSANDS!!! I lost track!! AhahaHAHAAAAAA!"

(JUMP NOW.)

(You jump. Loops swing barely missing you. You land on their arm. You see them wince, now! Go for the knife!! Grab it!!)

(You reach for the-)

(Loop grabs you be the throat and slams you against the Favor Tree.) "And I wished it all away!! All so you could beat him on your VERY. SECOND. TRY!!!!"

"L-loop-" (You try and say, please, please-)

(You feel metal in your mouth. Loop had your dagger to your lips. Your voice catches. You can't speak. You. Headache, harder to, think. You look at them with your one eye.)

"No, no talking, stardust! I'll kill you! I'll kill you right here!!" (They raise the dagger) "You feel it, don't you?!? You burned up your wish!! AHAHAAAA!!! No more second chances, Stardust~"

(You raise your feet as they bring the knife down and kick loop in the chest with all your might. They cough and let you go, rolling to safety and getting to your feet.)

(What. What just happened. You. You just did that. Like you blinked and. You're standing here- you should run now! Now you can run!)

(You breathe in, and out. You run at Loop, holding out a sign, Rock Bottom. The craft skill hits them like a ton of bricks. You use that to swoop in and twist your knife out of Loops hand. Before your brain catches up, you stab Loop.)

"Aah--!!"

(Loop looped back.)

Colors??? Ohhh man, aeh, thats a fun but hard one. I started off my art years ago with just pencil on paper, black n white style! So ive gone on my own little self taught journey over the years when it comes to using actual color in art and ohh boyyyy was it a challenge.

Theres definitely some tutorials out there that explain color theory waaayyyyyy better and are more helpful than me, but ill still explain it my way for anyone whos curious about the way i use colors instead <3

At first i was pretty bad, SO for example IF I WAS PAST ME..... and i drew a purple dragon, the lighting and background id add would be purple too. Thats bad. It looked good, yes...... But it wasnt the smartest choice of lighting/background to make it so similar to the purple character id drawn.

I couldnt really see what i was drawing because everything was the same color, same saturation. It makes present me cry a little inside that i used to do that xD and i had to figure out that overtime... i didnt want whatever i was drawing to blend in to the canvas, disappear, and be really hard to see because it was all the same shade/color.

SO, i experimented >:) i have a vague goal in mind when it comes to colors. I want things to be clear to see, colors to contrast and pop and flow! If your focal point/character is blue? I try to make the background the complete opposite color, or something that compliments blue like pink or orange.

BUT!!!! BUUUUUUT!! Its not as simple as that... it can look terrible if you pick an opposite color and itll clash in the worst way possible >.> THAT, im admittedly still figuring out as i go! But ive learned that when the colors are too bright and clashing, i can reduce the saturation/make them less bright. Perhaps if i used pastel colors instead? Or something closer to grey? Maybe if i darkened this one and lightened that one theyll still stand out but also flow a bit better.

I rely heavily on my gut feelings with colors too, ill test different options all the time and mess with filters to see if i get any cool results until i land on something that makes me go "woahhhh this feels awesome". It can take actual hours just trying to find the right combination of colors...

This ones a great example of a good color combo!! I tend to lean towards warmer/softer colors in my work unless im doing a nighttime scene or something with cold/fresh vibes. The dragon here is a pretty light shade, and i went with a matching light background. I did that to give it a soft/calm look <3

When i look back at my art and any of my bigger/finished works, i notice i have a running theme of finding a nice balance between pastel/light colors and bright/saturated colors.

The saturated/brighter colors are usually used for the focal point, and the desaturated/lighter ones are for the background! I can also reverse that with a saturated/bright background and a light/desaturated focal point depending on the situation!

Heres some examples of what im talking about:

MMMMMMM LINES! Lineart, i love it. My artstyle when it comes to that kinda flip flops around a little. But i often use a thinner brush and the pen i draw with has pressure sensitivity!! So lineweight kind of just revolves around how i literally move my hand against the screen.

But when it comes to purposefully making the lines thicker or thinner though, i use bolder lines for the focal points or areas with sharp details, so they catch the eye.

Thinner or less opaque lines for outlining markings or representing fur, scales, feathers, things like that :D

Tips, refs and recommendations??? OHhhhh, everything i use is specialized for helping myself reach the style/quality of art i aim to make so it wouldnt entirely help others the same way.

But i can say that for refs and tips, i save EVERY little thing that sparks inspiration or looks like it could help me draw something i find difficult later on. I have files organized for that stuff! Things for ref sheets, anatomy, tmnt-related, a file just titled "inspiration" full of anything that makes my eyes happy when i look at it, and one for kingfishers (theyre a fav of mine when it comes to finding the inspiration to design a dragon).

Ironically, i dont often use typical art tutorials so i dont have any recommendations to share because i wing-it like the menace to myself that i am xD I probably should use tutorials though, im constantly trying to improve and those would actually help. Im just, too lazy 💀

Its a great habit to save stuff that helps/inspires you for when your stuck! And just go out there and follow all the artists who inspire you, even the smaller ones. Ive seen so many unknown/underrated artists who are able to draw a certain way that id love too, just gotta hunt them down and follow them so i can keep seeing their art <3

if youre feeling annoyed and you want to cry about it read a book for an hour. theres plenty for free online. you can start by reading it out loud if youre slow to catch focus. if youre feeling annoyed and want to hit yourself about it search up 'beginner crossfit no equipment' on youtube, put on your own music and follow the video. if you feel like you dont have energy to follow instructions you must dance really stupid in your room for 3 minutes then repeat.

if youre not upset at all but instead plain bored and things feel uninteresting: do an origami tutorial with a sticky note. watch people do speedruns, debunk, or reality show recaps and put it on max volume while you reorganize/label your room. if you were fond of studyblr at some point pull up a wikipedia page and play around with making enjoyable notes of it. most of these are an if:else configuration of what i discovered works for me so i hope at least one of them is transferrable

So, here I am—just trying to build my own little corner of the internet. A digital sanctuary, if you will. You know, one of those cozy spaces where creativity flows freely, stories come alive, and maybe (just *maybe*) someone else finds comfort or inspiration in what I create. But let’s be real: I’ve got *so much* to learn. Like… an overwhelming amount. But hey, isn’t that half the fun? :p

I’m diving headfirst into the world of AI, visual novels, and RPG game design because… well, why not? It’s equal parts thrilling and terrifying, but mostly thrilling. The idea of crafting worlds, characters, and stories that people can interact with? Yeah, sign me up for that rollercoaster. Of course, it’s not like I expect to become some legendary indie dev overnight. I mean, I still mix up basic coding terms sometimes (*is it “if” or “when”? Or is it both?! Help!*), but I’m here for the journey.

Digital art, storytelling, AI tools—they all fascinate me to no end. There’s something magical about taking an idea from your brain, feeding it into technology, and watching it grow into something tangible. And yeah, okay, sometimes it grows into something hilariously broken instead. But even then? Progress. Baby steps. Tiny pixelated victories.

oh boy, let's see what I can do!

if you're interested in learning the actual anatomy, I suggest looking up proper tutorials, or pictures of different feather sections - that helps a lot too! but I can give tips for simple ways to imitate real-life wings that in my opinion elevate the wings a lot!

for me the biggest thing is the way the joints bend; it could be just a me thing, but it easily catches my eye if the wing joints look broken. also for simple realistic type wings I go with two shapes of feathers and ditch the rest - if your style is simple, just lump the smaller feathers together without worries, but if you tend to draw single scales, strands of hair, etc. then go wild and add all the feather layers you want!

and as always - realism =/= good art, just have fun! I like to stick to anatomy rules with some things, but that doesn't mean everyone has to. I just think it never hurts to know a bit about it c:

"So, my sister is getting married and she wants me to invite all you idiots to the wedding," Sam huffs as he drops down onto the couch.

"That's great, Sam. I'm sure we'd all love to meet Sarah and join her on her special day," Steve says.

"Yeah? Can I tell her to add you all to the list?" Sam glances around and meets everyone's gaze in question.

A chorus of agreement is heard. "As long as you won't be there," Bucky snickers.

"Of course I'm going to be there, I'm the best man!" Sam huffs in frustration.

"How much did you have to pay the groom for him to agree to that?"

Sam throws a couch cushion at Bucky, which Bucky promptly catches in the air before it can hit him. You giggle from the seat next to him, knowing he'll keep you safe from the oncoming couch missiles.

"Sure, we'll go," Bucky relents eventually. When everyone returns to the movie, Bucky softly asks if you will accompany him to the wedding as his date and you couldn't be happier.

You're floating on cloud nine before you are ripped back to reality when you hear Wanda and Natasha's conversation a few days later.

"We're going to have so much fun at the wedding, I can't wait!" Wanda says, giddy from excitement.

"Yeah, it's going to be a blast. All the hot men, the drinking, the dancing!"

Two weeks later

You instinctively close your laptop as soon as Bucky enters the room, missing the expression your movements cause. "Hey, doll. Everything alright?"

"Hmm, yeah all good." You mumble, not meeting his gaze.

"So, you got everything ready for next week?"

"Next week?"

"Yeah, remember Sarah's wedding?"

Your eyes widen in surprise. "The wedding is next week? No, no, it can't be so soon."

"Afraid it is, doll. But there's more than enough time. Do you need to go buy a dress? I can join you if you're worried about that."

You don't even hear his words, the reality of the situation finally sinking in. There's no way you will be ready in a week.

"I can't go with you to the wedding, I think you should ask someone else." You blurt out before you can stop yourself. For a few seconds, all you hear is silence.

When you meet his blue eyes, your heart rate increases. His expression is full of anger and hurt.

"Really? You can't go with me? I'd ask why not but I'm pretty sure it involves whatever you're constantly doing on your phone and laptop which you don't want me to see. The past two weeks you've been ignoring me and hiding things from me."

"Bucky, no, it's not like that!"

"Like what? You won't even tell me what you're doing!" His voice becomes louder with every word. "If you don't love me then you need to tell me! If you want to be with someone else then-"

"I can't dance!" Tears drop down your cheek at your exclamation.

"Wait, what?"

"I can't dance, ok? I thought about asking Natasha or Wanda to teach me but I don't want the whole tower to find out. I'd be the laughingstock! I've been sneaking off, watching videos and reading tutorials, trying to teach myself but I just can't get it!"

You wipe your cheeks, trying to stop crying when you hear Bucky laugh from where he stands. How dare he laugh at your admission! "You're such an ass!" Anger feels like it's boiling out of you as you rise from the couch and stomp towards the bedroom, but Bucky grabs your arms and stops you from reaching it.

"I'm sorry, doll. I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing at the situation!" He pulls you into a quick hug and then steps back, giving you some space. "That's it? That's what you've been hiding all along?"

"Of course! Bucky, I know how much you used to love dancing, and now you're stuck with the one woman who can't dance!"

"You swear it's nothing else?"

"What do you mean?

"Bucky, there isn't a better man for me and I promise you, I will never stop loving you." Reaching up, you touch his chest lightly, placing your hand over the spot where his heart is beating frantically before you stand on your toes and kiss him softly.

You squeal with surprise when he picks you up, walks to the couch then pulls you into his lap, holding you close. "I love you too, doll. Always have and always will." The two of you sit in comfortable silence for a few seconds, just appreciating being close to each other once again. "So you'll go to the wedding with me, right?"

"Bucky, didn't you listen to a word I said?"

"I heard you, you can't dance. I don't care, Y/N. I just want to be with you."

"And I don't want to disappoint you! All I hear is how much you used to love dancing, and if you go with me you won't be able to dance!"

"Doll, you could never disappoint me. And if it bothers you so much, I can teach you a few moves. Besides, the fact that I'm an excellent teacher," Bucky smirks at this, "I'm also a super soldier. Even if you can't dance, like at all, I can throw you around the room and no one will even notice. You can even step on my toes and I couldn't care less. I've got you. I promise I won't let you be embarrassed. I just want to go with you, I want to show off my amazing girlfriend."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course, doll. Now, tell me you'll go with me."

"Ok, I'll go with you. Oh, but I need to go buy a dress!" You jump up.

When Bucky rises with you and grabs his things, he notices your gaze on him. "Come on, doll. I'll go shopping with you."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I think it's best that I'm part of this important decision. I need to help decide what dress I'm going to rip off you at the end of the evening. It'll be my reward for having you step on my toes at the wedding."

He's too slow to block the cushion hitting him on the back of the head.

i had the strangest dream last night...

so basically there was this school event on the 1st day of school and it was like a collaboration with inanimate insanity or something. all schools in my area were able to come. we all had to go take buses to a big school with a large gymnasium. it was so big that a whole store was able to fit inside it. before everything started, everyone got to warm up. me and my friend went to the store and got a little tamagotchi thing. and then while we had the chance to get on our devices, i went to the inanimate insanity wiki. i was looking through the characters' pages until i saw a character named "choc" like in "chocolate". everyone apparently remembered her being in the show but i never did. when i asked people about her, they told me that i was dumb and asked how i forgot about this character. she was a character who was created by a girl named "colette". colette was apparently the winner of a character contest. the contest involved people drawing "object character" versions of themselves in real life. they weren't supposed to use their real names. instead, they had to make up a name with the first letter of the character's name being the first letter of the creator's real first name. the randomly picked winner got to become a minor character in one of season 2's episodes. wow. someone even showed me a clip of choc in an early season 2 episode 😭 here's how i remember choc looking like:

the reason why she has handles is because trophy was her favorite character and she decided to draw handles on choc 😭 yeah anyways then the whole challenge thing started. i remember one of the challenges where we had to throw cups on this bowl floor looking thing. i was waiting for my turn and i got mad because of how long it was taking. so i threw a glass cup even though it wasnt my turn yet. i immediately regretted it. then this security guard took my hand and told me that what i did was wrong and i won't be able to participate in the competition anymore. i was telling her that i didn't mean to do it and i only did it because i was mad. then we started arguing. i would talk about something she was doing to me while talking with me but no. then she told these kids that i hated to take me to the principal. they all ran away and didnt want me to catch up to them. i fell down and started crying my eyes out. then i woke up. someone please give me a tutorial on how to have better dreams 😭 well the only good thing is it's about inanimate insanity (my favorite show)

Fields of Mistria Log 1

I've been wanting to play this game ever since I saw so many of my friends get into it, and since it had its first update and was on winter sale... time to finally have some fun with it! 💜

I expect good things from this because the style looks adorable, I've seen many little pictures and people have been only giving praise about the characters and such too. Let's go, yippee!

Wow. Just. Already, I'm so happy. the interface is so cute. This is the first game I've ever played with so many pronoun options. I'm happy.

I look fucking cute what the hell. the farm is a mess and it's so cute. everything is so cute. this artstyle is so gorgeous and the whole vibe is amazing, I'm gonna cry! I love how the grass has little flowers in it and even just the sound effects of the watering can make me happy.

Greeting all of the characters already has me excited to speak more to all of them! In some games there's really only a select few that make me curious at first glance and I have trouble remembering who's who, but all of them are memorable and unique here and I want to immediately talk to almost all of them again.

I got completely lost in this game as soon as I had the time to properly focus on it and it's so cute. Genuinely can't decide who I like the most so far!

The way lil Henrietta hopped on the chair to sit next to us I'm gonna cry. Sidenote, the tutorials are all so clear and easy to understand, it's great!

AND YOU CAN PET THE FARM ANIMALS ON HAYDEN'S FARM TOO AAAA!!

This fucking guy I swear. When I first saw him say that I laughed my ass off. Also right now we're going with Scaramouche but I'm absolutely thrilled to see you can just change your pronouns and name whenever the fuck you want. March is hilarious to me because I want to immediately punch him in the face but he obviously likes you even if he acts like an absolute dick. Peak.

Working on the town projects is genuinely a lot of fun so far! I love Eiland and Adeline and I think the pacing of this game is really great. I genuinely love how everything is balanced so far, exploration, building and time-wise - Friday Night at the Inn is always super cute and fun and I love the Saturday Market. I've also been laughing my ass off whenever I talk to Juniper, Dozy is THE CUTEST!!!! and I just adore that you can have a daily bowl of soup at the inn. That's the kind of thing that's super useful when you start out and stays cosy comfy even as you grow and don't need it that much anymore.

OMG YAY YIPPEE! STINGRAY!

This is another thing I really like! All of the plants and flowers and forageables are really lovely? The icons are so cute and I just love all of the stuff you can grab. Like yes, I want to fish up stingrays, pick dandelions and tulips, dive for sea grapes and sea lettuce, and catch A FUCKING TRANS COLOURED FLOWER CROWN BEETLE!

They make the most basic little things so sweet and then come up with such unique lil critters and items too! And oooh, I cant wait to be able to cook more.

What a view! The whole town clean-up scene was honestly so sweet. Everyone coming together was so cute, and this felt so rewarding! Now I can pick lemons and enjoy the view. What a treat!

Spring is already over. I got a little black calf and am saving towards a coop now! Once my farm actually looks like something I'll show pictures lol. Either way, I'm loving this game so far! I can tell I'm going to pour tons of hours into this for real.

It's absolutely incredible that this is only in early access and there is so much more to come. I can't remember the last time I bought a game in EA and had so much fun with it, wow! I heard there's limitations on heart events and that they're planning to add much more to the game before its full release, but this already feels very "full" I dare say.

I think the last time I was this excited about a farming sim was back when stardew valley was released, and I played that since the day it was out. SDV will always have a special place in my heart (I say with almost 800 play hours) and I'll play it forever, but this feels like it might even surpass that for me. I'm super stoked!

Back on the grind! Like Geralt on a monster contract or Gandalf after yelling "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" I’ll be dusting off my brushes, my pens, and my cursed Dwarven sketch tablet. Expect more art, more chaos, and fewer excuses.

A Schedule? MAYBE. We’re aiming for organization here, but no promises—this isn’t Rivendell, and I don’t have Elrond planning my days.

Commissions are opening! That’s right, a shiny new comms sheet will drop in 2025. Look out for it soon! (Or, you know, soon™ in classic D&D planning.)

Just remember, folks: it’s fiction and art here. Let me thirst for the villains with the tragic backstories and the devastating cheekbones in peace. In real life, I promise I’d be the first to call the local paladin squad on them.

Probably. Maybe. Okay, fine—if they apologized really well, I’d consider negotiating. That said, me thirsting for the local baddie doesn’t mean I wouldn’t go full Vicious Mockery on their ass to roast them to filth about their behavior. I’m not a bard—good looks won’t move me from my morals. Not yet, anyway. (Eredin, stop calling. babe)
