That's right.... that's what Aurora had said. It sounded a bit sad to Moon. Sure, family dinners weren't the same once her mother had passed, but Moon still presides over the courses and the selection of the menu. She still strived to make her house feel like a home to anyone who visited.

It felt much the same with that other Aurora in that other Mjaunie.

And ... 'Helped get me out.' Moon didn't know what that meant. What did that mean. It sounded too big to ask just now.

"Well, I'd love to have you over whenever you'd have me," Moon says, trying to be comforting. It was too late to change what had happened. Aurora didn't need Moon, anyways. But if Moon could help or hold any bit of what Aurora was, that would be nice, wouldn't it? "We can have a dinner among friends."

There wasn't lost time, really. Just joy to be gained. The dream had brought about an affection for someone that Moon hasn't expected but now was too attached to to forget.

This time they had ... She was determined to make the most of it. And make the most of it for Aurora, if she could.

It was raining. Or, rather, it was drizzling. The drops weren't so large, coming down in a thin sheets to cover the down. People passed by the shoppe, some with umbrellas, others in rain coats, and then those that were running in an effort to get out from under the weather because they had nothing to protect themselves against it at all.

The shoppe itself was rather quiet and cool, making the conversation between himself and Mrs. Sherman, who had been trying very hard to pull an answer out from him to the question, Who are they, David!

"You're going to be late," he told her as he shepherded the older woman toward the door. Hatter pulled an umbrella from the holder by the door to hand to her.

"Oh, please," she tsked at him. She reached up to pat at his cheek. "You make it too obvious, dear."

Hatter cleared his throat, brushing his own hand over the cheek that was no doubt very red. Though his beard did tend to cover most of that real estate. He smiled politely and held the door open for her as she left, getting her umbrella open, and calling over her shoulder, "Don't wait until you think it's the right time to tell them! Heaven knows you'll be my age. Or worse."

He didn't respond, merely let the door slowly close behind her, and went to tend to return to the only other person in the shoppe. Who was, thankfully, a comforting face.

"Sorry about that," he said, taking a seat back at the table across from Aurora. Mrs. Sherman had come in for something for her husband's allergies, which were kicking in now that the season was changing. "What was I saying?"

BIOGRAPHY

TRIGGER WARNING: death, fire, car accident

Joon grew up in a house full of witches. Their mother died in a house fire, their father a car accident. Behind them were left 6 children. Flora (18), Fauna (18), Merryweather (16), Aurora (10), Briar (9), and finally, Joon (3).

Flora and Fauna moved their family to Raven’s Peak. They had a connection to a coven in the town, figuring it was the safest, and easiest way to stick together. While there, the twins started up a bakery, something small and simple. First it was markets, then out of their own kitchen, and finally a storefront. Enchanted Crumbs bakery was brought to life with warm colors, and freshly baked goods to brighten anyone’s day.

Joon was playful. He didn’t know any different. Growing up he was surrounded by aunts, cousins, various women of the coven he called family. There were often times he was called lucky, often skirting out of danger or bad situations.   He experimented with gender, with clothes, make up, everything he could get his hands on. Joon just existed in his own little plane.

Joon loved it. The smells, the colors, the tastes. He was enchanted by how whimsical things could be. Instead of baking generic loaves of bread he cut patterns onto the tops. He brightened the colors of cupcakes, of truffles, of little treats.

Eventually Merryweather married and moved out of the town for her husband’s job. Aurora moved for college. Briar was around but couldn’t bake to save her life, even with spells. When Flora decided to stay home to raise her children, and Fauna suffered from medical ailments, there was only one left to take over.

He sprinkled in joy to what he was doing because really, he enjoyed what he did. When his sisters passed the bakery down to him he made sure to honor them while bringing his own flavor. He made it some place he could be proud of.

Joon is known to be just as sweet as his treats. He’s got a childlike spirit that no one can break. Joon always finds a positive to every situation.

What a different life she could be leading in her dreams.

Random Thoughts about Silver

Omg I can't believe I never thought about this. It's kinda accepted at this point that Silver is based off Aurora, or at least a combination of her and the prince.

One thing that bothers me is how Lilia claims that Silver didn't have any parents (that he knows of) and just found him as a baby and decided to raise him. I'm pretty sure this is what Aurora would've been told if she ever asked the good fairies where she came from, or why she has three mother figures.

So assuming this is true, does that mean that Silver, when he becomes of age, will finally be told by Lilia of his true nature? That he's actually the REAL prince of Briar Valley, or a neighboring one, and that Silver isn't his real name, the same as Briar Rose was for Aurora?

I have to wonder, is this is all true and part of his story, what the purpose of it would be? To be raised by fae in order to establish a better political relationship with fae when he becomes a prince again? Maybe he really was kidnapped by Lilia for some ulterior motives? It just really gets me thinking (in fact ch 7 in general always gets the cogs moving). What do you guys think?
