“So, let me get this straight,” Felix said, slowly, like he was struggling to wrap his head around the whole thing. He kind of was, if he was being honest. “That was your mom. As a teenager. And your grandparents and aunts and uncles.”
Marty nodded, looking a little bit like he wanted a hole to open in the ground and swallow him. “Uh huh.”
“And you getting hit by the car instead of your dad, that’s how your parents were supposed to meet.”
“Uh, yeah.”
“And originally this was how your mom got interested in your dad. But now that’s happened to you instead. So now your teenage mom has a crush on you.”
Marty squeezed his eyes shut, and this time his words came out high and strained. “That’s about it, yeah.”
There was a long moment of silence. And then Felix stopped in his tracks, plunked right down to sit on the curb, and buried his head in his hands, letting out a loud, heavy sigh.
“One smoke,” he muttered into his palms. “All I wanted was one smoke in the parking lot, and now I’m stuck thirty years in the past with a guy who just accidentally seduced his own mother.”
send me 🎤 + an oc and i’ll pick a quote i can imagine them saying and write a drabble with it!!

𝐑𝐄-𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐆… 𝐌𝐘 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑, 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐗 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐎𝐍

❝ Felix was well-known in Hill Valley only because of his parents. Born to Rebecca and Tom Sturgess, Felix had been abandoned on the steps of the local police station by his parents when he was only three weeks old and eventually adopted by the Wilkinsons. He could've been known for so many other things - being an amazing photographer, being incredibly socially awkward and incredibly sarcastic when he did talk to people, or even (not that he wanted anyone to know this at all) being one of the only gay kids at Hill Valley High School. But no. All anyone at Felix’s school (and in his hometown, for that matter) really knew about him was that he was the kid whose parents had abandoned him, who hadn’t even cared enough about him to see him through his first year of life.
Though Felix genuinely loved and appreciated his adoptive parents, who were kind and supportive and loved him like he was their own, he had always wondered about his birth parents, the people who had created him only to leave him alone in the world, however briefly. He had tried, more than once, to find out any information about them, but it hadn’t been easy, seeing as Rebecca and Tom had skipped town hours after abandoning their son and no one in town seemed inclined to even acknowledge that they existed, at least when it wasn’t in relation to Felix being “the boy who’d been abandoned”. All he had ever been able to discover about them was their names, a general consensus that they were not good people, and two yellowed yearbook pictures he’d managed to procure from the local library. Not exactly enough to satisfy his curiosity.
Eventually, Felix had resigned himself to never learning anything about where he came from, choosing instead to love the parents who actually wanted him. By the time he was seventeen, he was focusing on nothing but earning good enough grades to be able to get into the art school of his choice once he graduated and earning enough money from his part-time job at the local mall’s movie theatre to pay the tuition for at least his first year. Slowly, life faded into a monotonous blur of the same events day after day, with the only thing Felix found joy in was taking pictures and secretly sneaking looks at Marty McFly during the classes they had together.
Until Felix wanders out into the mall parking lot one night to smoke after his graveyard shift, and sees Doc Brown, the crazy old inventor who nobody in town but his crush really tolerates, being shot to death by a group of men in a large van while standing near an odd-looking DeLorean. While rushing over to help the old man, Felix winds up yanked into the weird car by Marty McFly himself, who just appears out of nowhere, and somehow, the two boys find themselves thirty years in the past. Because, Marty explains to Felix, Doc Brown has converted his car into a motherfucking time machine.
Which is all well and good, and Felix doesn’t have an incredibly hard time believing it - he’s read a lot of sci-fi novels, so under other circumstances, this would be a dream come true. But they are also stuck in 1955 with a broken car and no way to get home, Marty has somehow managed to prevent his parents’ meet-cute by getting himself hit with his own grandfather’s car, and Felix is now forced to spend time with his own teenage parents, who are turning out to be just as self-entered and irresponsible as everyone in present-day Hill Valley has always told him.
Plus, Felix now has to help Marty play matchmaker for his parents while simultaneously hiding his feelings and watching Marty’s own mother flirt with him.
He’s starting to wish he could go back to being the invisible, bitter, abandoned kid. ❞

Oh God I want to know everything about Felix!!
Also, could I be added to your taglist? 💚💚
I’ll admit I haven’t given him a whole crapload of thought yet, but I’ll certainly tell you everything I can!!
I mean… mans definitely has social anxiety. 😅
But he’s also a genuinely thoughtful and kind person who would give the shirt off of his back to someone who needed it, and he isn’t afraid to be bold when in comes to helping someone. Basically he’s just my sweet gay baby who I love.
As I said in his introduction post, he was abandoned by his parents on the steps of the Hill Valley police station when he was only three weeks old, his parents skipped town immediately after, and he was quickly adopted by the Wilkinsons, a super sweet couple who weren’t able to have kids of their own. Felix honestly loves his parents and appreciates everything they’ve ever done for him, but he’s also always been curious about his birth parents and what their reasoning was for leaving him.
Felix did come out to his parents as gay when he was fifteen, after first developing his crush on Marty. He was terrified, of course, this being the 80’s, but his parents were incredibly kind and supportive and assured their son that they loved him unconditionally. (Basically his parents are fucking amazing and I adore them almost as much as their son.)
Felix has a part-time job at the local mall’s movie threatre, and his going out to smoke in the parking lot after his shift ends the night Doc and Marty first test out the time machine.
He sees Doc get shot by the terrorists he stole the plutonium from and runs over to help, only for Marty to pop up out of nowhere and pull him into the time machine to get away. Big bang boom, some out of control driving, and suddenly Felix is trapped in the 50’s with his crush.
While Marty and 50’s Doc are trying to matchmaker for Marty’s teenage parents and make sure he can still be born (with Felix’s help, of course, because he can’t deny his crush when he’s in need), Felix also winds up meeting and hanging out with his parents a little bit. He’s desperate to get to know them and find out if there was some kind of reason for his abandonment that might be evident in their high school years, but it doesn’t take long for him to realize that they were really just self-centred and irresponsible people who would never have raised him properly if they had kept him.
This leads to him blowing up at Marty the night before the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance, when Marty is complaining about what his parents turn into back in the 80’s. Felix tries to tell him that his parents aren’t really all that bad, but Marty keeps bellyaching, which eventually winds up with Felix yelling at the other boy, reminding him that at least his parents love him and have always wanted him around, and he doesn’t know how lucky he is to have all that.
Marty doesn’t really know what to think about this, about this quiet, awkward boy who’s never really spoken to anyone outside of his family (this boy who, though he’s always been terrified to admit it, Marty has always noticed and longed to talk to) suddenly exploding and calling him out for taking things for granted. Unfortunately, they don’t have time to talk anything out before Marty has to go escort his teenage mother to the dance.
Felix goes to the dance as well, heading inside the school to wait until Marty comes back in from setting dad up to “rescue” his mom, but gets impatient and goes outside to see Biff and his goons stuffing Marty in the car trunk. He winds up getting into a bit of a scuffle with Biff’s grunts and earns one hell of a shiner.
After getting Marty out of the trunk and onto the stage with the band while George and Lorraine dance, Felix can’t help beginning to hope that everything’s going to be fine. But when the two of them still haven’t kissed and Marty starts to disappear, he completely panics and runs up to the stage, not even thinking before he blurts out that Marty can’t go yet, not before Felix has the chance to tell him how he feels.
Thankfully George and Lorraine kiss and Marty comes back, and Felix is able to do nothing but stand awkwardly near the stage and watch Marty play his song after not having acknowledged the confession Felix just gave. He feels like his heart’s been ripped out of his chest, like Marty’s rejection is the worst thing that’s ever happened to him.
Until the two boys bid George and Lorraine goodbye and run to meet 50’s Doc at the clock tower, at which point Marty stops, turns to Felix with a shy smile, and says, “So you like me, huh?”
Cue Felix’s brain briefly ceasing to operate, followed by three solid minutes filled with awkward, flustered smiles and quiet confessions (which I plan to write a scene about one day, and it will be the cutest thing ever).
Then, once they get back to the 80’s (only to have Doc take one look at them after revealing the letter from Marty that he actually did read and be like, “Well, what happened here?”) and wind up falling asleep together in Marty’s bedroom, they go downstairs only for Marty’s changed family to freak out because in this changed timeline, they are dating.
(Though to be clear, new George and new Lorraine don’t freak out because their son’s dating a boy, they freak out because his boyfriend was sleeping in his room.)
I’m not 100% sure what Felix’s involvement in the next two movies are, but he goes with Doc and Marty to 2015 at the very end, and… roll credits!
(That was so shitty, I’m sorry, but thank you for asking about my newest baby!! And of course you can be added to my taglist, thank you for asking!!)
