My dearest friends,

I'm sorry for my lengthy absence. I probably excited you all with my polls about Sauron/Halbrand, and I fully intend to write those stories at some point, and many more other fics.

Right now I am going through an insanely difficult time. My father is showing increasing signs of dementia and it is no longer a question but a certainty. We lost our cat almost three weeks ago, and along with having to deal with that, we also have had to take care of her 4 orphan kittens. On top of it, I can't for the life of me find a job.

I am exhausted. I want to give up, and some days I just don't care.

I'm still here. I plan to write, eventually. Right now I'm fighting having lost interest in everything I used to love.

Not me trying to edit scenes from my fic.

My baby Enna was so innocent. Look at her. She was just a child. A child whose head was filled with so many stories; a young lady who loved her family and her books. A child whose life was forever ruined by *Ioreth* and a fiery Maia she thought of as a trusted friend. Her only friend.

She trusted him and he manipulated her, exploited her and eventually betrayed her (no surprise here, though).

The only good thing about this is that he kind of (but not really) set Elenwë up. That's pretty much it, I'd say.

Mackenzie Foy as teen Enna (main faceclaim: Synnøve Karlsen)

Charlie Vickers as Mairon/Annatar (I have to admit that he does look the part. He looks like he's balding a little, but everything else is on point. If only he had been allowed to use golden contacts...oh well...it matters not)
