I didn't realize but ralsei is probably the horned headband Kris had since they were young, seeing as it's been mentioned a few times and it's not anywhere to be found

Posting my prediction now, pre-Deltarune Ch3&4, not even as a heavily evidenced theory, just a sudden realization based off vibes while analyzing the new Sweepstakes web pages:
I think the Weird Route will end in a softlock.
Deltarune is a love letter to RPGs and every quirk of storytelling AND mechanical play that makes them what they are. Toby has always loved meta games before he made his own, and the Sweepstakes are RIDDLED with references to glitches, mods, softlocks and more.
What if there is "Only one ending...?" In the sense that there is only one final boss you can defeat and one way to make the credits roll by following the intended narrative on a normal route? (Of course the smaller choices you make along the way still matter as long as the characters matter to you, but the overall result will be the same.)
Maybe the Weird Route will not be an "ending", in the sense that the credits haven't rolled, the "final boss" isn't defeated, and you can still boot up your save just fine - but you cannot progress.
Whether that is because Noelle becomes some kind of angelic, unbeatable guardian of a frozen "Angel's Heaven", a Dark World just to her liking that you can never seal due to her power surpassing your own (in an Undertale style consequence of leading her down the Weird Route in the first place)...
Or because of something even more insane? The Twisted Sword can only be crafted with the Thorn Ring, but gives Trance DOWN when equipped to Kris, which would imply less control. The only thing Noelle seems sure of in the Hospital after a Weird Route is that something is wrong with her friend, and she is going to figure out what. Seam once wielded a seam ripper, for when "you're too far along to simply pull the threads [of a story?] back out". And who KNOWS what Ralsei or Susie will do on an extended Weird Route. Maybe the Weird Route will involve Kris shaking us off and breaking free, leaving us with no way to play.
Or maybe it will be neither of these and some third option, but regardless! I think the ultimate irony of the Weird Route would be if it doesn't properly end.
The player, in trying so hard to contort the narrative and game into a different ending, does nothing but break it. Congratulations! You changed your fate! You found a different path and made your choices "matter"! And now you have nothing. No closure, no accomplishment, only a save forever stuck until you wipe and start over. (And do it right this time!)
That's my suspicion. Anyway, wish me luck getting the Shadow Mantle, because I'm gonna be playing 3&4 blind first, and I am TERRIBLE at missing stuff, so...

just realized we beat the secret bosses paralleling Kris by instead having the main boss of ch3 parallel Kris. sorry Kris you can no longer escape the trauma reminders by skipping optional content, everyone gets to hear about your divorce trauma

Deltarune CH 3 & 4 Content Warnings (no to minimum spoilers)
Lot of eyestrain, flashing lights in chapter 3, especially near the end.
And chapter 4 has some eyestrain with some areas trying to navigate, as well as some mild trypophobia near the end.
CH 4 also have some sections of potential misophonia.
There is also a mild-medium amount of pixelated blood at the end of CH 4.
Additionally, you can not adjust individual volume types, and both chapters have some harsh noises scattered throughout. (High pitch screetchs for 3 and high pitch ring/ding noises for 4)
Any difficulty or skill based locks in these chapters are fairly reachable, aside from a couple.
More details below, will try to keep it non spoilery
In CH 3 near the middle, several TV sets in grids switch between channels, some of withc having somewhat rapid patterns. This is fairly mild.
There's an optional area you can access throughout CH 3. On interaction with an object in this area, a screen will display flashing images, briefly pause and then proceed before stopping. While interacting with this screen, certain actions you can take cause a high pitch screeching noise, and it's hard to tell what cause this until you do. Additionally in these moments, some of them can cause video crt style distortion which is pretty eye strainy
Additionally in CH3, the boss, upon being defeated will cause a long sequence of quickly flashing images.
In CH4, various enemies have sound based actions you can take against them. These actions cause high pitch ringing, dinging, and other such noises.
The trypophobia in CH4 is specifically during the boss, in which eye symbols can flash briefly, as well as being common, but not clustered throughout the sequence and some attacks have projectiles appearing similar to cartoonish eyes that fire at the soul.
The misophonia in CH4 is near the middle. In a dark section, sound queues are used to indicate attack direction. These sound queues are intended to subtly sound like words corresponding to the direction (left, right, etc.). However a very mild flashing visual queue accompanies them, which can be used in place of the sound.
The blood in CH 4 is pixels, and is not in large amounts. However, some of it does drip off someone's hand, and some gets on someone's face.
The skill/difficulty based locks that we didn't find easily reachable were all optional, being the secret bosses of both CH. However, the CH 4 secret boss does not have to be defeated to obtain the rewards.

one thing i will say under the cut (deltarune ch3 + 4 spoilers)
i've become a little bit of a krusie freak but ITS NOT MY FAULT MAN THOSE TWO WONT STOP BLUSHING AROUND EACH OTHER I HAAAAAATE THEM
sorta unrelated but im in glee at the fact that kris feels safe around susie. like i am aware it has taken 3 days for her to gain their absolute trust but man. i get it like. once her defensive shield of anger and hatred slips susie is quite literally the most genuine character in this game. there's a reason that i've seen more "ralsei is untrustworthy" theories than "susie is untrustworthy" theories (of which i've seen none), despite how she acted in ch1. she has proven herself to be incredibly kind to people she feels deserves it, and quickly comes to respect people like gerson who have something of mental value to give to her. she refuses to allow ralsei to talk low of himself, she always lights up when lancer's around and prioritizes his wellbeing massively (as shown when he's undergoing petrification in ch2), and goddamn. in the three days she's known kris, she's gone from slamming them into lockers and telling them their mom would be better of if they disappeared to being their primary source of comfort and composure.
and i dont think that's on accident. i think in the grand scheme of things kris and susie were always meant to be friends, and always wanted to be friends. but susie's defense mechanism after losing friends from moving so frequently, and kris's struggle to make friends in general (according to toriel), it may well not have worked out. but god bless alphys for bringing them together. actually now that i think about we don't give alphys nearly enough credit to her contributions towards their bond -- like she's the whole reason they went in the first dark world together in the first place.
and it's like susie has a sixth sense for kris feeling vulnerable or afraid. after defeating spamton neo, their talk outside the bunker in chapter 2, them and noelle talking outside rudy's room in the weird route (in that case i guess it was the feeling from both of them), the thing after the shadow mantle boss fight... she always comes by, or if she's always there she stops to ask kris if they're okay. and if you answer "yes" for them, susie doubts it immediately. she's got incredible emotional intelligence, even if it doesn't seem it sometimes.
and kris... it's so clear kris is hell-bent on ensuring susie is safe in turn. utilizing what autonomy over themself they have to defend her with their shield after the shovel king's fight and the gerson statue fight, and to pull her away from the pixel kris if it reappears during the dialogue options, to immediately check if she's alright after the knight's first attack in ch4..... whatever deal they've got going on with carol, there's no way it involves putting susie in danger. that i can guarantee. and that could well have to do with why they want to keep her out of the bunker (even if it means ruining susie and noelle's special moment together...... still haven't forgiven kris for that tbh). not to mention how much happier they're said to be around her -- the mirror dialogue in chapter 4, the diner convo, how they preferred to seek comfort from susie after the susie fight, the susie tea healing them the most by a large margin.... she's literally their spiky, gruff, comforting rock in this world and it makes my heart hurt every time they convey that.
i think i've run out of things to say here right now. all i'll end with is how much i cherish their friendship and i am placing immense trust in toby fox to ensure they remain well-bonded. they literally mean so damn much to me bro they always have but chapters 3 and 4 have increased that immensely.
this went a little off-topic from the subject of krusie, but i think their trust and bond is a major aspect of that ship. regardless, them blushing around each other and stuff is really fucking cute but what's exponentially more important to me is literally everything else they got going up. the shenanigans too. hell yes kris use susie as a lawnmower so she can shovel up those cheese crackers hell YES.

just got reminded of chess theory, frankly i think its one of the biggest theories thats just totally bunk. sure chapters 1 and 2 line up incredibly well but like. theres no way the chapter boss of ch3 is called rook right?
then even when we get down into the more metaphorical meanings of chess piece names, how exactly could a character represent the traits of a rook? king and queen match great because king is static at the end of the board and queen is constantly moving around and making attacks on the lightners. but how could that possibly be translated over to a rook? the rook only shows up in certain parts of the dark world, and the lightners have to move "diagonally" to avoid him more...? how would we even know if that was the case? no seriously, how would we? if its too strict of a test then theres no character that could ever possibly pass, but if its too lenient then practically anything could be considered rook-like behaviour. im guessing people who believe in chess theory now and refuse to accept if its wrong will choose the latter option.
and as for ch4, i suppose the chapter boss could be named bishop considering the growing likelihood that chapter is in the church, but if not we have that definition issue again. how does a character behave in a bishop-like way? at the most i could see the hypothetical bishop chapter boss only showing up in areas that are either themed black chess tiles or white chess tiles. idk. seems Suspicious(TM).
one last thing to note, i do think its interesting that the common chess board theming is around dark pieces vs light pieces. dark and light.

! Heads up for Deltarune Spoilers in case anyone wants to avoid those !
Okay so first things first I haven't actually beat the 4th chapter yet, I got right to the end but I wanted to go back and replay from ch3 just to get all the secrets and stuff (the Knight keeps kicking my ass but the boss fight is so fun that I don't even care atp.) I missed almost every optional thing in my first playthrough whoops, I'm a fake ass gamer
Anyways onto the actual kinfession part of it. Idk if this is just me but WOW the entirety of chapter 4 made me viscerally uncomfortable. Like I should not know this much about these people I should not be here! And honestly a bit of chapter 3 too. I shouldn't know this much about Kris' family. This game never fails to make me feel like I'm eavesdropping.
This did make me realize I very clearly remember what Dess' voice sounded like. Which is strange, since I only started being Noelle's friend after the spelling bee/Dess went missing. Hometown's small though, I probably saw her around a couple times so I guess that makes sense.
I'm not even going to touch That Route with a 10 foot pole. I've already decided that I'm not doing it back in chapter 2 but the stuff I've heard about it in chapter 4 makes me nauseous. I watched that one scene before the graphic got changed and I genuinely felt sick to my stomach, I could never do that to Noelle and Kris.
Anyways I thought I'd have more to say about Myself but I'm so irrelevant and only showed up in 2 scenes and I don't have anything to say about them. Sorry for rambling so much this was longer than I meant for it to be -Berdly (fictive)
those people have already unfollowed the blog, trust me, you don't have to say things like this, your life is not a spoiler, you don't have to hide yourself out of shame for making others know things about you, you are not a bad thing to exist free yourself from shame.

deltarune ch3 spoilers
it's like they heard me going "wow, spamton fight wasn't that bad!" and decided to make the requirements for the next one hell on earth and even deeper. why are chapters 1 and 2 so easy to get the optional boss stuff (hard part is beating them) and then chapter 3 is like "we're skinning you alive. WORK, peon!!! WORK for it!!!"

“We- You- have a decision to make.”
“What do you mean?” you asked, puzzled as to what you could possibly have to choose from in this situation.
“I can’t control myself around you. If we continue these weekly meetings, you’re not going to survive much longer.”
You didn’t doubt her words. The effects of her bites were more than obvious.
“So we either end this and you never speak of what you’ve learned, I turn you, or…” she trailed off for a moment before hesitantly meeting your gaze. “...or you become my blood servant.”
Your brows rose high. The first two options were honestly not so surprising, and pretty straightforward, but what in Janna’s name did she mean by ‘blood servant’? You supposed it was just as it sounded, but you were intrigued as to the details of what that would entail.
“Blood servant?”
“Yes. You become my main source of blood, but with the regenerative benefits of a full vampire, so you recover quickly. No other vampire may feed off you and you’ll be required to stay near me.” She averted her gaze again before continuing. “Basically a form of an eternal bond.”
Chewing at the inside of your cheek, you thought over the options. If it were entirely up to you, the first option was definitely out of the running. You were head over heels for this woman and the thought of no longer seeing her made your chest ache and throat swell. The second option wasn’t that much more appealing. You’d be forced to feed on others as a vampire, something you had no interest in. Being her ‘blood servant’ honestly sounded incredibly appealing. Having to be near her at all times, allowing her to continue feeding from you, being bound to her- that all seemed incredibly enticing. But this decision shouldn’t be up to just you. She had just as much a say in the matter.
“What would you want?” you asked.
Sevika turned back to you, eyes wide. “It- it’s not up to me,” she said, almost angrily.
“I think this is up to both of us,” you said and rose to your feet. You stepped closer to her, eyes locked on hers. “You have just as much say as I do. So what do you want?”
She peered down at you, stunned that you cared what she thought. That you were even considering some of the options. Her eyes searched yours, and you were certain she was trying to read your thoughts. She was afraid to admit her desires. Afraid you’d reject her.
“Do you want to continue seeing me?” you asked, hoping to help her voice her opinion.
She stood silent for a moment, her brows pulled tight. Her throat bobbed and she licked her lips.
“I’d like to keep seeing you,” you admitted with a shy smile.
Her lips slowly curled up at one side. Clearly that was what she was hoping for.
“So, what do you want?” you asked again.
“You.”
Your cheeks warmed. Such a simple response, but said with such finality, like there was no doubt in her mind she wanted to be with you.
“Well, I’d be more than happy to be yours.” Your smile grew along with hers and you stepped closer, wrapping your arms around her waist beneath her cloak. “Your servant for whatever you need.”
She wrapped her arms around your waist and pulled you against her rigid body. “There is some risk with the conversion,” she said quietly, watching your expression carefully. “I’ll have to be careful not to remove too much of your blood, otherwise you may become a vampire instead. You’ll also have to drink some of my blood. Are you sure this is what you want?”
“Yes.” You stretched up on your toes and kissed her scarred cheek. You swore for a moment you saw that rich brown skin blush, but before you could confirm, she leaned down to press a chaste kiss to your lips.
“I’ll be sure to distract you throughout the process,” she said with a smirk.
A warmth spread through your body at her words. That sultry, sexy voice made your core ache with need. You had no doubt she could distract you. She’d done it plenty of times before.
Sevika stepped back and slipped her metal hand around to the small of your back, gently guiding you out of the bedroom.
She took you to the mysterious adjacent room. Removing a key from her satchel, she unlocked the door and allowed you to step inside first. She turned on the light, illuminating the surprisingly near-empty room. She stepped past you as you scanned the room.
Along the wall directly across from you was a large wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The small window on the adjacent wall was completely covered by dark drapes. Though you assumed that was to block any light that might make its way into the depths of Zaun while she slept, you found no bed whatsoever. But what it did have, to your surprise, was what appeared to be a very large coffin.
Oh Janna, does she sleep in that?
Is that what we're going to–
Your thoughts were interrupted by Sevika's smirk when she turned to face you. “Frightened?”
That was a loaded question. Despite you agreeing to this, you were no doubt a bit frightened. This entire situation was anything but calming. Yet, you'd be lying if you claimed it didn't also excite you.
“I'm not scared of you, if that’s what you mean,” you said softly, a shy smile pulling at your lips.
Sevika stepped closer, the toes of her shoes touching yours. With your chin between her thumb and forefinger, she tilted your head back.
You met her gaze, breath catching at the gentle touch and concern in her eyes.
“Having second thoughts?” She asked quietly, her eyes searching yours.
“Not at all. I want this. I want you.”
The little crooked grin she wore made your legs weak. She was so damn charming.
She must have sensed your desire to kiss her, as she slowly lowered her head to bring her lips to yours.
You sighed contentedly against her and slipped your hands up her chest to grasp at the fabric of her cloak.
Her prosthetic arm slid around your lower back, pulling your body closer to hers as she deepened the kiss.
Any bit of remaining doubt or worry quickly began to fade away beneath her touch, her kiss. Despite the dangerous nature of her kind, you’d never felt safer than you did in her arms. As if nothing could harm you so long as you had her. She would be your protector, and in return you would gladly be her source of nourishment.
When she broke the kiss, your half-lidded eyes met hers briefly, both of you full to the brim with adoration and lust.
She took a half step back and slipped her fingers beneath the hem of your shirt, tips ghosting over your skin and leaving goosebumps in their wake. Her gaze met yours briefly, and with your nod of approval, she carefully pulled your shirt up over your head before tossing it aside. She took a moment to appreciate the swell of your breasts from where they peeked out of the top of your bra. Metal and flesh thumbs gently grazed the supple flesh along the edge of the thin material. Those gray eyes slowly bled into a glowing mix of purple and red. Her lips parted, her warm breath and the scent of smoke and spices washing over your face.
Her eyes closely watched your expression as she stepped closer again and reached around your back to release the clasp of your bra. The feeling of her clothed chest pressed to your nearly naked one had your fingers twitching at your sides, dying to pull her even closer. But you remained still, allowing her to remove your bra and add it to the growing pile.
Her fingers trailed down your back and sides, nails lightly scratching along the sensitive flesh and sending a chill down your spine. She chuckled lowly at your visible reaction.
Janna, her deep, sultry laugh made your legs weak. The anticipation of what was to come did nothing to ease it either.
She slowly released each of the buttons on your pants. As she pulled them down your legs, she dropped to her knees before you. Her mouth was dreadfully close to your aching cunt, her hungry gaze locked on that exact point.
You had to reach out and grasp her shoulders as she helped you out of your shoes and pants, not trusting yourself to stand on your shaky legs. That was when you realized you weren’t wearing the same underwear you’d had on earlier that night.
Noticing your puzzled look, Sevika smirked up at you as she smoothed her hands up the sides of your legs towards your waist. “Got a little impatient earlier. Ripped ‘em off. Had to get you a new pair,” she explained.
Heat crawled up your neck and flooded your cheeks.
That definitely explained the bite marks on the inside of your thigh.
You said nothing. Just watched in anticipation as her fingers slid beneath the waistband of your underwear. For someone who claimed to be so impatient earlier, she sure as hell was enjoying torturing you by taking her damn sweet time now.
She deliberately pulled them down bit by bit, her attention flitting between your flustered expression and the apex of your thighs. But as she pulled them past your knees, something caught your eye. A fairly large red spot stained your clothing. At first, you assumed it was left over from the bite, but as she pulled them further away, you realized that was not at all what it was.
You gasped, eyes going wide and cheeks burning. “Sevika,” you gasped. You were met with red eyes, but they weren’t nearly as red as they had been seconds ago. They had become nothing more than a small ring of color, overtaken by her widened pupils. You swallowed. “Sevika, I- I’m…” you trailed off, your body aching at the feral look in her eyes.
“You think I didn’t know? Couldn’t smell it a mile away?” she asked, voice sinfully deep and laced with lust.
You gaped down at her in utter shock. Was she implying she was okay with it? Or, considering the way she looked downright starving, that she was well more than just okay with it?
She pressed a lingering kiss to your mound before rising to her feet.
You know stood entirely nude while she towered over you fully clothed. It felt intimidating. You were her powerless, vulnerable, helpless little prey. But as she scooped you up into her strong arms and against her chest, you gave yourself to her willingly.
She carried you over to the coffin, using the tip of her shoe to kick the lid open. After pressing a chaste kiss to your mouth, she carefully knelt down and set you inside. “Don’t go anywhere, sweetheart,” she said with a predatory smile, revealing those sharp fangs.
You smiled up at her bashfully.
When she walked away, you took in your surroundings. The coffin was surprisingly large. It was almost as if it was intended for two, even with Sevika’s larger-than-average build. Not only was it considerably wider than normal, it was also longer and deeper. To the point you couldn’t see Sevika as she headed towards the opposite end of the room. It was comfortably lined with soft white linen and padding. In all honesty it felt more comfortable than your own bed, if not a bit creepy and macabre. Though admittedly that only added to the excitement.
From across the room you could hear Sevika shuffling through a drawer. Curious as to what she was doing, you sat up and peered over in her direction. Her back was to you, but you could see she had removed her cloak and satchel. Then she pulled out a harness and strap-on from one of the drawers. You rubbed your slick thighs together in an attempt to ease the ache that was quickly growing stronger with every passing second.
Sevika turned, a smirk pulling at her lips when she caught you staring at the strap. “Eager?” she teased.
She had no idea just how much.
You bit your bottom lip and nodded as she strolled towards you. She stood beside the coffin, smirking down at you for a moment before stepping into the harness. You found yourself unable to look away from the thick, black faux cock as she deliberately ran her large hand up and down its length, spreading a generous amount of lube. It was incredibly erotic and did nothing to calm your desire. She wiped the excess off on the side of her pants, then kicked off her shoes.
When she moved to step inside, you lay back down, body nearly trembling with anticipation. With her feet planted on either side of yours, she intentionally lingered there to watch you squirm beneath her. She was fully clothed except for that tauntingly delicious stretch of her abs, waist, and hips. And Janna, she was so damn big and powerful. She towered over you, casting you in complete darkness under her shadow. The size of her faux cock was just as intimidating. Thick, dark, and long.
The desperation to feel her became too much. You peered up at her with pleading eyes. “Sevika, please.”
She chuckled softly. “Make room for me between those pretty legs.”
You opened your legs, cheeks burning hotter when she eyed the mess between them. “Are- are you sure about this?” you stammered as she dropped to her knees between the spread of yours.
Resting the palm of her augmented arm beside your head, she leaned over you with a lopsided grin. “Already forget what I am?” she asked with a raise of her brow.
Of course you understood her desire for blood, but this was a bit different. Wasn’t it?
“No. I just- I mean we’re going to make quite a mess,” you replied with an airy laugh.
Her human hand smoothed up the side of your leg before slipping beneath the knee to lift it higher and open you up more. “I’ll clean you up.”
Before you could reply, her mouth was pressed to yours. You reached up to thread your fingers through her dark, silky hair and pull her closer. You prodded at her lips for entrance. The moment she parted them, your tongue darted inside to run along her teeth. When you passed over one of her sharp fangs, you gasped. The way she smirked against your lips in response only served to make you all the more desperate for her.
Sevika slid her hand further up the side of your thigh, over the soft curves of your hip and waist, all the way up to your breast. She wrapped those delightfully large fingers around it, groping roughly while you moaned beneath her. Before she pulled away from the kiss, she sunk those sharp teeth into your bottom lip and tugged.
The metallic taste of blood hit your tongue. A soft whine fell past your lips, but not from the pain. From the way her tongue teased along the tiny marks. The way she growled hungrily. The way her hand squeezed your flesh as she tasted you.
“You’re so fucking addictive,” she growled.
You peered up at her through half-lidded eyes. She met your gaze with pupils blown wide. The ache between your thighs was damn near excruciating. Never had you needed something- someone - so bad. Nor had you ever felt needed by someone so bad.
“I’m going to have a hard time controlling myself with you,” she breathed, “but I want you to tell me if you need to stop any of this.”
You swallowed and nodded, heart swelling at the sweetness this woman could exude even when she looked like she wanted to eat you whole.
“Tell me,” she insisted, eyes narrowed.
“I’ll tell you to stop,” you answered breathlessly, but you were certain you wouldn’t want her to stop anything she did to you.
She dipped back down to lick across the inside of your bleeding lip one more time before releasing your breast to reach down and line the head of her strap up with your entrance.
You watched as her pupils widened again, her heated gaze focused between your legs. Gently, she pushed just the tip inside, and it was a damn battle not to tense your muscles in anticipation. Her hand moved to join the other on the opposite side of your head. Her attention darted between your strained expression and the sight of her cock pushing deeper and deeper inside you.
“You’re so fucking beautiful,” she murmured.
Those adoring words combined with the sensation of her slowly filling you had you mewling in bliss.
She only got about a quarter of the silicone cock inside you before pulling back out and easing back in again. She took her time working it in further and further, pushing in until you moaned, pulling back until you whined.
You weren’t sure if her pace was intended to drive you insane or to prevent any harm. Either way it was driving you insane. It felt so fucking good, yet it just wasn’t quite enough. One hand dug into the bedding beneath you, the other clung to her bicep.
“Sevika, please!” you begged.
“You’re taking my cock so good, sweetheart. Almost there,” she grunted as she gave one final push, sinking her cock all the way to the hilt.
You keened, overcome by the sensation of being filled to the brim. It was a perfect fit, as if made just for you. Janna, you weren’t gonna last long if it felt this good and she hadn’t even started going at it yet.
She gave you time to adjust while admiring how worked up you were already. The tiny beads of sweat forming along your brows. Your chest rising and falling with deep breaths. How your fingers clawed at her arm and the soft lining of the coffin. And your eyes, flitting between hers, silently pleading for more, and her plush lips as they curled into a haughty smile.
When you started to squirm beneath her, she finally took mercy on you. She dragged her cock out slowly before burying it all the way with one powerful snap of her hips.
You cried out, but Sevika was less accommodating this time around, giving you no time to recover before repeating the motion. Though the pace she set wasn’t brutal- at first-, each time she thrust inside you it was hard enough to rattle the coffin and quickly build up the pressure in the pit of your belly.
The moment she kicked up her rhythm, you lost all ability to hold back the sounds of pleasure fighting to break free. Moans, whines, and her name echoed off the walls of the room. You threw your head back against the padding of the coffin, mouth hung wide open and eyes rolling back.
Seeing your neck stretched out like that, Sevika took it as an open invitation. She leaned down onto the forearm of her metal arm while her flesh hand snuck between your bodies to play with your swollen clit. Her sharp teeth grazed along your neck, and you could feel her muscles tense as she fought the urge to sink her teeth in.
Every swipe of her finger across your clit in time with her cock slamming inside brought you closer to the edge. Your head swam with the pleasure, your body blazing despite your lack of clothing. Then she brought her mouth to your ear and you feared you might lose it right then and there to her intoxicatingly sexy voice.
“Ready?” she grunted as she thrusted inside you.
You bit your bottom lip and nodded, not trusting your voice.
Another thrust.
“You sure?” she asked as she lifted her head.
“Please Sevika. Make me yours,” you begged, damn near crying with need.
You tilted your head forward to meet her pupil-blown eyes just before she dipped her head down and sank her fangs into the swell of a breast.
Pain and pleasure hit you like a freight train. Every muscle and vein in your body felt as if it were coursing with fire. You sobbed her name as you shook beneath her. Wave after wave of pleasure rolled through you as she continued to fuck you and have her fill of your blood. Her frantic grunts and growls barely audible over the wild beating of your heart.
Just when it seemed your climax would never come to an end, Sevika released your flesh from her mouth, pulling back to stare hungrily down at you. The vision of her above you blurred, your eyes brimming with tears from the overstimulation. Her thrusting and teasing across your clit had stopped at some point without your realization, yet the pleasure remained. Her hand moved to her blood-coated lips. She sank her fangs into her wrist, then brought it to your parted lips, allowing the blood to fill your mouth and drip down your throat.
The metallic taste coated your tongue. You swallowed blindly, putting all your trust in her. Your body thrummed, the effects of the conversion already taking over. It was as if the sensations you’d felt while she drained you were now running in reverse, a warmth spreading throughout your veins.
With the ritual complete, Sevika removed her wrist from your mouth. She loomed over you for a moment, her eyes raking over your dazed expression and the marks she’d left on your breast. Several trickles of blood trailed down the side and into your cleavage. She lowered her head, running her warm tongue across your breast and cleaning away the remnants of blood.
You moaned weakly. You felt light-headed, dizzy, almost drunk on your post-orgasmic bliss and the aftereffects of the conversion. If you had needed to move for any reason, there was no possibility you could on your own. Every limb felt weak, a constant ache pulsating throughout them. You were spent.
Apparently, though, Sevika was not done with you yet. She slowly slid her cock out, pulling a disappointed and overstimulated groan from you as she did. She slipped off the strap-on and tossed it aside without care for the mess it made.
Though you couldn’t see it, you were certain the lining of the coffin beneath you had to be stained. Surely Sevika’s pants must have suffered the same fate. You could feel the wetness coating the insides of your thighs. Not only did Sevika not seem to care, she openly welcomed it.
She easily maneuvered your listless body further up the coffin, leaving her more space to move down between your legs. Metal and flesh hands slipped beneath your knees and pushed them up to spread you open for her.
If you’d been in your right mind, you’d have been more than a little embarrassed and flustered knowing the state of ruin you presented her. But when she lowered herself, settling between your thighs, you had a brief moment of clarity.
She’s not really going to…
“Sevika,” you said breathlessly. You tried to lift your head to peer down at her, but failed, simply too weak.
She said nothing, growling as she licked a thick stripe up the inside of one of your thighs.
You shuddered, overly sensitive to her touch. Another swipe of her tongue and you were mewling with shaky breaths.
She lapped at both of your thighs, cleaning every last drop of blood and release.
You attempted to close your legs when you felt her hot mouth press against your entrance, but her fingers pressed tight against the flesh of your thighs, forcing you to remain wide open. A pathetic whimper was all you could manage as she started lapping at your sensitive cunt.
Your head flooded with thoughts of how filthy and crude the action was. How depraved you must be to allow her to do such a thing. But Janna, her mouth felt so damn good. And the sounds she made- deep, animalistic growls, grunts, and groans- made your body ache more. It took no time at all for her to have you nearing your peak once again.
You came with a pathetic cry, your body shuddering as you rode that heavenly high. It didn’t end there though.
Sevika continued to lap at your weeping cunt like she was starved, ripping orgasm after orgasm from your ravaged body.
With no end in sight, all you could manage to think through the daze of your bliss was how Sevika was just so utterly and irrevocably–
Insatiable.

whatever. go my semi-live commentary as recorded on notepad
6/4 8:38 am. i feel like a kid on xmas morning. lets go-
11:06 taking a short break. i still cant believe this shit is real even though i'd been in the fanon boiler for less than a year. also transphobic deltarune fans found dead by suicide after seeing kris' outfit in the cooking game. their fit was so cool i lost like 12 times out of distraction and DEFINITELY not a skillet issue. fat butch tenna will always live in my heart but ive warmed up to the twink. one more thing before locking back in: 199X/200X setting truthers are DEAD considering the way tv keeps getting talked about🎉
11:51 how the fuck do i do the stupid 6 screen puzzle. nvm 1225
12:51 pm things got kinda sloggy from the puzzle i whined about above but picked up during the rouxls fight. despite what you'd think of a character like him rouxls makes the game like 10% funnier. also atp lanino and elnina as a strong toriel/asgore parallel would be Weird so i hope that isn't a hill the fandom is going to die on
1:16 i made the mistake of glancing at reddit to see whether this chapter even has a secret boss and got a potential spoiler. logging back on now
2:19 been procrastinating playing again because im pretty sure ive progressed too far for the secret boss and my other saves aren't great.
2:42 im so lost dude.
5:07 i decide to replace that save with a post-round one save. now im post-round 2 trying to get s-rank so i can get the secret boss. i have the points to buy it though so that's plan b. back to suffering!
6:01 waow im at RANK B in the stupid cooking game!
7:26 the guy selling s-rank or whatever isn't here anymore. i suck way too hard at both of these minigames to get it on my own.
7:46 goodbye. will probably reset yet again
I'M GOING TO HAVE TO START FROM THE BEGINNING
11:07 so i started from the top, scraped together enough points to buy the s, and explored that room. ofc i was then brought to that game room thing and it checked enough secret boss flags for me to keep going. i just played the minigame intuitively; it roughly went from "hmm maybe toby wanted to play jrpg violence straight for one small second?" > "ohhh god no mercy route parallels galore. maybe this is a half fakeout where it's not what it seems but is still serious ie kris at the end of ch1?" > end the game with finding the ice thingy > "oh this is like the ol speculation about us playing dragon blazers in universe. wonder where this is headed :)" > talk to the british plugboy and Realize > go back into the game room to see if i missed anything > check kris in the menu > Fully Realize
so that's where i am as of typing this. i haven't saved yet. i'm torn on saving to my designated weird route slot and then exiting/reloading my untouched pacifist save or stupidly deciding this in fact has no real negative consequences and google whether this is secret boss-related. i'm gonna look around just a little more before deciding but im leaning towards option one.
checked the room and nothing special really happened. i saved over my wr slot. anyway it's too late to think too hard about my next move in this game. unless the boredom gets the better of me im going to bed now. 11:27 pm
6/5 2:30 pm so the thing about jumping off the face of the internet was an exaggeration; i'm in and have been regularly checking a deltarune watch party server. with the help of someone in there i figured out i was right the first time about it just being a secret boss thing + how to fully trigger it all. i also realized i turned my ch3 weird route slot into a pacifist save with a partly completed sidequest on it so it's time to copy and then erase. i also accidentally exposed myself to a spoiler juicy yet vague enough to further intrigue me. more on that later.
3:17 I NEED TO RESET A THIRD FUCKING TIME. WHY DID I SAVE RIGHT THEN.
5:56 ok i did the game thing twice. the advice i got was slightly unclear so now im just going through what i assume to be the castle equivalent segment without saving and assuming i have to go back there via the Door before what i also assume to be a proper tenna fight
6:22 i think i did it for real this time. i saved.
7:03 THIS SHTI IS NOT REAL WHAT
7:15 i'll try again later. just wow.
10:41 finally beat them. looks like jevil's simplicity as a character is only going to get funnier in hindsight with how fucked up THIS one was. also i have analytical Thoughts on this that are just bubbling in my head
"i was not very chuffed by that dart" we need to kill toby fox NOW
would tenna be pissed off if he found out his whole act is half-recycled from that of some rando lightner in another universe
being nice about tenna time is over; if he gets twice the fandom hype queen did (which he will) i am going to start killing you misogynist fucks. anyway i'm tired 11:19 pm p.s: is kris knight officially dead? soo the light-yet-juicy spoiler i got earlier was where i saw someone casually mention "the knight" in the context of something that happens at the end of the chapter. the way they phrased it made it unlikely to me that kris was sposed to be them and the secret boss gave me and even clearer Idea but a part of me still went "maybe the game and/or that person is being kind of roundabout about it?" oh well i'll find out in the morning. p.p.s: i just remembered my queued posts about that very topic started publishing this evening. :)
6/6 12:24 pm both spamton and tenna want mettaton's tboy swag sooooo bad
12:51 this fucking thing is either a) a titan b) a secret third thing) c) DESS KNIGHTTTTTTT in that order of likelihood
12:59 finished chapter 3. also im checking my blog and why aren't any of my kright posts publishing. if i need to sign in to main tumblr i swear to fucking god. ok i forgot that i scheduled them for FRIDAY evening
1:09 it's almost like we're in some kind of Under Tale…
1:11 lmao kris Really wants you to know that ralsei doesn't look like asriel
1:18 catty cattenheimer
2:24 just hopped on after taking an unrecorded break. the face of cartoonish disgust i made when asgore popped out
8:53 im back :3 checking out castle town rn
8:55 "kingy-doodle" has every deltarune big bad fucked the other at some point
"hit me." did susie have to explain this one to ralsei offscreen so he wouldn't 🗡️FIGHT her with a hilariously concerned look on his face
(about the upstairs castle town npcs' computers with the red heart symbols and them saying they're trying online dating) you all want me soooo bad
(about the hat rack npc losing ralsei's hat forever) HAT RALSEI INSISTERS LOSTT LETS GO
thinking about what seam as well as someone in the server said. i think im gonna eventually dedicate my designated wr slot to trying to beat the knight
i've cried at ch3-4 once or twice and wanted to cry a few more times. this text triggered by checking the mirror with susie following you has counted towards the latter
METTATON TRANSGENDER AWAKENING IN REAL TIME. also im 50/50 on this being the authorial intent but the idea of tenna taking one look at mtt and going "yeah this is an egg time to crack him" is so funny
10:36 yet another unlogged break but the respective trans awakenings for like, mettaton vs the lioness dress/waitress npc is a good representation of the yin-yang way undertale and deltarune interact with each other
"(about the pic of noelle in goth makeup) catti wanted a custom cover for her cd" yk that face of disgust i made at asgore earlier? imagine that again but out of HOMOPHOBIA🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈
i'm starting to feel weird again so good night 11:15 pm ps: i just scrolled ONE REPLY IN on toby's hotfix post and some dipshit mentioned the original starwalker turned into stone. if the roaring happens in this chapter i will find that unfunny motherfucker's location 6/7 11:27 am today, we will delta that rune. isn't that right, pluey?
ok so the Berdly Newsletter Dialogue wasn't optional but it wasn't actually directed at kris either. im sorry to do this to you kris but it's for science (❤️Go with Berdly)
fellow himejoshi we need to start hating on berdly for "getting in the way of" suselle. we need to level the playing table
WHITE WOMAN JUMPSCARE
temmie put her whole temussy into this dark world dude
taking a break 12:49 pm
when you get to the dark world but it's chinese 1:46
"you are filled with the power of not reading the text" do i even have to say it
i've already died like twice to this pumpkin fuck
saved not too long after beating him and took a break but im back 4:12
5:18 piles of gersons dusttt
the philosophers' dialogue is giving old jrpg npc
the war flashbacks i got when ralsei started insisting he could do everything for susie and kris
adds another tally to the deltarune cry count
"[susie is] supposed to equip the ribbons" REALLY? SUSIE'S BUTCH SWAG AND NARRATIVE DEFIANCE IS OFF THE CHARTS
FUCK this climbing gimmick. time to whip out the old cheat engine
"PURIFIED"????
*everyone is behind you.
ch4 finished 7:40 pm 6/7/2025. still have a few more secrets to cover and story to mentally take in before abandoning grass though
(2 or so hours later) i can currently manage a little sliver of the knight's hp with optimized healing items and speedhack 0.5. wait the devil works hard but deltarune fans, particularly the ones running the spamton save editor, work harder
11:22 pm ok the previous setup was actually easier. i refuse to make my base defense even higher (currently 20 for each) so speedhack + file editing it is i guess
6/8 2:56 am after a good amount of cheating i finally beat them. honestly i don't have the patience to see what this prompts in ch4 so WEIRD ROUTE TOMORROW. not looking forward to having to go through chapter 3 on that slot though ughh
1:11 pm i rushed through the last of ch3 and now im weirding out on ch4. "maybe things took a weird route right now" it's almost like they're in some king of snowgrave…
IT'S ALMOST LIKE
taking a break 2:01 pm
4:54 ok fuck this. i'll get spoilered for the end of the weird route and the ch4 secret boss and the morbillion obscure secrets idc anymore.

Does Kris bearing the knife at the end of ch1 intend to imply that, with out the soul, Kris can operate independently from us? As in, OUR choices don't matter and are trailed along a set script, but Kris's are important to watch for?
Is it Susie's hopes/dreams/choices that influences the game such as her s-actions and healing blast as well as diverging the route in ch2? Is it the player truly taking the path of the weird route as their own decision or through an Intended Exploit using Noelle's same freedom of choice to gain strength through execution and progress the story in such a unique way? And, with the application of independently interacting /games/, what data will be transferred between and be buried within pinged triggers from other chapters?
..... Is this why the shadow mantle is missing?.. That's why ch3 & 4 will be going together, I think. Unused or discarded concepts like those that form Jevil and Spamton is equivalently corrupted, obscured and optional. The game itself is also not fully complete, with each chapter literally building on the last in its game. We currently have a way to obtain a piece of the shard and its corresponding secret boss item in Castle Town, and considering the... I don't know. Intentionally self referential and buggy and literally game-changing nature of deltarune already, how surprised would you really be to find an item you can actually bring back? If it were related to whichever companions or characters in the next chapters, or potentially within chapters we've already combed through?

Deltarune 3&4 Spoilers (Ch5 Theorizing)
Flower King & Friend theorizing cause I think I'm onto something: Asgore & Friend will be a Duo Boss in Chapter 5
We know Chapter 5 is (probably) going to take place in flower king and will involve friend due to Gerson's dialog about the lord of the hammer. "Fields of pink and gold". There's a prophecy which seems to be in reference to friend which says "THEY'LL SEE THE TAIL OF HELL TAKE CRAWL." with an unused asset of a spiked spade-like tail (seen here) which seems parallel to King's mouth spear attack. (Thus making a connection to kings). [Though it's unused and the actual version only has a normal looking tail in the actual game.]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Friend has been shown to be a corrupting influence throughout the game. It seems to be what drove Spamton to insanity and is connected to Eram due to appearing in that boss fight. Additionally Friend acted as an introduction to the depths as a concept in ch3.
Tumblr media
So far Friend seems like a background influence that's meant to be the player's actual in game introduction to the depths as a concept. So I feel rather confident in saying Friend is going to be apart of the normal route in someway BEFORE we get to Gaster & the Roaring. So this leads back to the Flower King issue. Asgore loves Kris he would never knowingly put his kid in harms way nor would he try to hurt Susie. So if Ch5 is flower king there are only two real options. 1. Asgore is deposed as the flower king upon the fountain opening (knight or carol?) or near the end when he finds out Kris is present and doesn't want to go through with the plan since it would lead to them getting hurt. 2. Asgore is still the king but just like in Undertale he's acting in a way that he thinks will help make things better even if it's worse in the short run. Of course being influenced by Friend. This would be consistent with his characterization in Undertale and Deltarune along with his need to show the town that he only had good intentions with his unknown action. But how would that want make him turn evil enough to fight Kris? Friend. "You can not defeat us, let's rumble." To my knowledge does not appear in Ch3 or 4 (It might've and I just haven't seen it yet but-) assuming it hasn't this line could be from the start of that duo fight. Friend has convinced Asgore that the only way to prove his innocence and to fix everything is to go forward with some sort of plan. Asgore might not even know what's going on with Kris until they meet face to face at the end and by then his determination to complete this plan could lead to a fight. Additionally Deltarune has had a running theme of interpretations and just being a version of another story. We've seen this with Spamton and Gerson who are embodiments of fights that never happened in Undertale. (Mettaton Neo and Gerson respectively) This could be the equivalent to Geno!Asgore which is another fight that never happened despite it making sense to have. (Obv sans is a more impactful final boss in Undertale compared to just Asgore again which is why it didn't happen). This fight could end up taking Motifs from Ut!Asgore and Ch1's King fight for this theoretical chapter 5 boss fight. Additionally Asgore is in possession of some sort of "Black Shard" as we learn in chapter 4. This seems like a Shadow Crystal but it could also be something similar to the weapon you get for defeating the knight in chapter 3. Hard to tell based on what little information we have. Regardless of what it is, that shard links Asgore to the Knight and secret bosses SOMEHOW. No evidence for this last bit but I feel like friend being draped around Asgore's neck could be really cool smth like this. (I feel like Asgore will look similar to UT since Toriel has a queen like outfit in the dark world presumably the same or similar to her unseen queen outfit in undertale.)

Deltarune Chapters 3 & 4 Review
I played through it on day 1 and here's my thoughts. This is less of an in-depth game review and more my scattered thoughts on the experience. I played on PS5, as an aside that probably doesn't matter. MASSIVE DELTARUNE SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT, INCLUDING DIRECT DESCRIPTIONS OF IMPORTANT SCENES, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Overall Thoughts
For starters, I strongly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. I'd finished the demo for the second time in the last couple weeks prior to release specifically so I'd have things fresh in my head, so I was primed to witness Peak Fiction.
As people smarter (and occasionally stupider) than me pieced together, the overarching theme of Deltarune appears to be Escapism, Entertainment, and how we interact with those things. The Dark Worlds have been themed after Board Games/Toys, Computers/Internet, Television, and Religion/Books/Music, and each one touches on the ideas. This is important to say first, because this theme colors how I will be discussing the story.
On the game end of things, the new chapters are very heavy on new gimmicks, minigames, and other new mechanics. This is not a bad thing in my eyes, as they either break up the otherwise fairly simple base mechanics (or make for interesting situations that I'll touch on in the chapter reviews). Some of them I wasn't a fan of, but I think it was a better call than just retreading old ground constantly and not trying to force players to keep learning and adapting. Difficulty was pretty much about right, maybe a smidge harder in specific places than I would have tuned it, and the new bosses were excellent.
Chapter 3: IT'S TV TIME!!
Chapter 3 picks up more or less right where Ch2 ended, and swiftly puts us into Tenna's gameshow that I always forget the name of. I'd done two playthroughs since I missed the Shadow Crystal on my first blind run, but I failed the quiz twice.
The new Zelda-esque minigame was very cute in the regular playthrough, charming and just barely avoids overstaying its welcome. There's some fun banter, a notable Ralsei character moment that sees follow-up in the next chapter, and the puzzles are enjoyable enough. I liked how during the quizzes, Kris will actually drift to the correct answer on their own if it's a personal question they'd know. These attentions to detail matter a lot, and they pop up a lot in Deltarune in general.
On a similar note, the other new minigames (excluding the last Ch3 minigame, which I think exists but is entirely optional) were fun enough. I think the cooking one could have been better with the fireballs being more visible, there were a couple instances where I got blindsided, and I didn't do great with the rhythm one
Tenna himself is the only new character to get significant development, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. He serves as an exploration of how Escapism/Entertainment exists in a state of impermanence. He's being forgotten, losing all of his beloved viewers and growing desperate to hold onto them forever, even though this is driving them even further away. His viewers grew up, drifted apart, and his spotlight has grown dim.
Tenna as a character is charming, his typing quirk being really fun (if nigh-impossible to replicate without taking an eternity). You can tell Toby Fox had a blast writing him, with his over-the-top yet pathetic personality shining through frequently. I also adore his design, using a digitized 3D model ala Donkey Kong Country that makes him stand-out in a wonderful way that nobody could've predicted prior to release.
On a specific scene I liked, the creepypasta-esque Round 3 sequence was unsettling to a fault. It sells just how desperate and broken Tenna has become, and how little control he actually had.
For a fourth paragraph about Tenna (I promise it's the last, he's just the primary stand-out of Ch3), his boss fight was immaculate, tied for my favorite in the whole game (with it, the actual Ch3 final boss, and the Ch4 Shadow Crystal boss). The music is wonderful, the dialogue is excellent, and the Warioware-esque minigame gimmick while bringing back Mettaton's ratings mechanic from UT made for an engaging finale.
On non-Tenna related notes, this time the Shadow Crystal is pursued through a rather unorthodox method. It's signposted just as well as previous ones... to a point. Some might complain, I saw a lot of people who were annoyed about how it was handled, but I actually felt it was the strongest segment in Ch3.
(describing it bc I really liked how it was handled) S-Ranking the Tenna gameshow rounds will net you access to the "original version" of the Zelda-esque minigame Tenna puts you through, which gives you a simple command. "Become Stronger", a phrase that's sure to set off some alarm bells. Through viciously hacking your way through every enemy, you're able to eventually destroy even the trees that fence in chunks of the level. Round 1 culminates in acquiring the Ice Key, and ends there. There's a generally unsettling atmosphere around these segments, and gives that feel of gaming late at night with nobody up (even when you're doing it in the afternoon with your family watching TV downstairs).
It's only after you do Round 2 that the minigame really starts hitting peak unsettling. After making your way up to the 'unfinished' portion of the map from the Tenna-version, you find the phrase "FORBIDDEN PATH BEGAN WITH ICE MAGIC", which is the first direct allusion to the Weird Route in the game, followed by an encounter with a white-robed girl. This sequence, aside from the allusions to the Weird Route, is also a direct reference to a post on Noelle's character blog from the Spamton Sweepstakes. It ends with the Ice Key, the white-robed girl, and you being used up before acquiring the Shelter Key. I was floored reading it even after having already been spoiled on the subject, for how unsettling it is. I've seen at least one poster theorize that Kris/the player and Noelle being 'used up' is the end-game plan of whoever's in the shelter (Gaster, presumably), but that's a discussion for another time.
The final visit to the minigame is even more eerie, forcing you to kill in-minigame versions of Susie+Ralsei to progress. This would have been more messed up if it wasn't for the fact that I accidentally killed them with my first test swing of the sword, which makes Kris' reaction feel more "Oh, god, this person is a moron" than horrified.
Kris actively resists your attempts to enter the Shelter in the game, attempting to force the in-game character to go in the opposite direction, which continues the important detail of how Kris has an agenda of their own (and foreshadows the end of the chapter and revelations of the next, considering the specific subject).
The 'Secret Boss' is split into two pieces in Ch3. In the Zelda minigame, you face off against a shadowy entity that nets you an item needed to realistically beat the actual Shadow Crystal holder. This entity doesn't get named in-game, and summons the scary face that appears during the normal route Spamton sidequest for an attack, and otherwise is just a moderately difficult 2D Zelda boss.
And now we can properly get to the big thing that drowned out most discussion regarding the chapter. The Roaring Knight finally makes an in-person appearance! Their design is suitably intimidating and cool, featuring a pair of antlers that are awfully familiar, and they make themselves known by butchering Tenna for their very first action. Seemingly this deconfirms Kris being the Knight (a theory that I was all-in on, especially with how utterly dogshit the "Random Undertale Character is the Knight" theories were), but Chapter 4 elucidates us in ways that make things very very interesting.
The actual fight with the Knight... can be beaten. It's actually the Shadow Crystal holder for this chapter, and is a very tough fight. The battle theme, "Black Knife", is appropriately intense for the deadly encounter with the game's seeming main villain. The Roaring Knight's attack patterns are complex, difficult to sight-read and exactly random enough that you can't memorize them completely (despite each attack being done in a scripted order). It took me a lot of effort, but it was also extremely satisfying when I finally claimed my victory.
But it doesn't matter in the end, because the Roaring Knight is well beyond our current abilities. The secret cutscene for 'winning' gives some further hints towards "things" that I will discuss later. The Knight escapes to the shelter, and we head into Ch4... after seeing Kris seemingly demonstrate the ability to open the shelter on their own.
ALSO ROUXLS KAARD IS A BISEXUAL POLYGAMIST WTF
Chapter 4: Hammer of Justice
Chapter 4 is where the meat of the overarching story is included. Where Ch3 feels like a refresher to get you back into the swing of things with a handful of character moments up until its end (where shit goes bananas), Ch4 goes all in with furthering the plot.
The first one is confirmation that Kris has an agenda. They might be non-binary, but they definitely got agenda (bad pun, I know). Conspiring with an unknown Phone Person (I'll get to that in a bit), they're working on something that's coordinated with the Roaring Knight.
The entire Holiday household section was great, too. From little snippets regarding Dess, to Susie and Noelle's interactions, to seeing Asgore cleaning the place, the entire sequence of sneaking around as the SOUL, asking Berdly out for the festival, and of course finally getting to see Mayor Carol Holiday. I really like her design, and I expect her to be very important in the coming chapters. I love how it is implied that Carol is a weeaboo, or at least really into katanas at the minimum (owning at least two based on the glimpse of her bedroom you can get and the one in the kitchen), on top of her interest in Christmas-themed decor.
Moving into the Dark World, we only have two new characters, one of them being the Old Man... later revealed to be the late Gerson Boom from Undertale (who died in Deltarune's timeline before the story started, technically this is the Darkner version of his hammer, but it's still him functionally). He was a pretty minor character, with no battle to his name (nor a battle theme), and generally went forgotten outside of "Alvin is the Knight" theorists, so it's nice to see him get a nice time in the limelight. I've made many a jab in my time towards people begging for UT characters to take over the narrative like a tumor, but Gerson is a welcome returning character because he never really got a big spotlight. He proved to be really charming part of the story, acting as Susie's mentor and helping her fully realize herself as a hero, and was one of the big highlights of the chapter.
On that subject, he's also the Shadow Crystal boss for this chapter! That battle is one of my favorites in the whole game, bringing back the underused green SOUL mechanic from Undyne's boss fight. From the wonderful music (that nobody has uploaded to Youtube as of this writing, annoyingly), to Gerson's dialogue throughout the fight, to Gerson's expressive animations, to the unique stipulation of it being a Susie-solo battle with no items, to Gerson parrying Rude Buster and forcing you to engage him a game of tennis with it. The battle has some nasty attack patterns, when those shells start getting tossed it is very hard to keep track of them, but like the Roaring Knight it makes the victory all the sweeter.
The other new character is Jackenstein, whose boss fight gave me a new brain parasite in YOUR TAKING TOO LONG, which rapidly turns into a Youtube Poop. The actual character is a fairly charming miniboss, with a fun speech pattern, though the fight was a smidge longer than it needed to be IMO.
The actual Dark World within the church is visually very pretty, with some gimmicks that are fun (the pianos, climbing) and some that are less (all the darkness mechanics). Visually, I'd say it's my favorite Dark World thus far (or at least tied with Cyber World). Mechanically, my least favorite just because I really don't jive with the darkness gimmick. It's just a kind of obstacle that I never like in any game, and while Deltarune does something novel with it... that doesn't mean I like it.
There are a lot of important character moments throughout this chapter regarding Susie (who appears to be the story's "true" protagonist, despite us being in control of Kris) and Ralsei, which I won't go into exhaustive detail about. They're really good, and really do solidify that I like these characters a lot.
The entire chapter's last acts was insane, featuring us having to fight a Titan! A lot of people were saying this (and the Knight) happened too early (or would happen early if they were in these chapters, before they released), but I think this is the perfect time. We have fully established the threat of the Roaring Knight and the Titans, and even with our victory against the one Titan we clearly are not equipped if the Roaring properly happens. "Nothing ever happens" has been proven false!
The prophecy is interesting, to say the least. There's a lot of questions raised, and its thematic relevance ("Nobody can choose who they are in this world") cannot be questioned, but what exactly the answers to it are... I couldn't tell you. From the identity of "the girl" to the SOUL being singled out but Kris themself going unmentioned to whatever the final prophecy is that Susie smashed... we are drowning in new questions without solid answers.
Also Sans Undertale is boning Toriel.
ALSO ALSO SUSIE CAN BLEED, WTF, MONSTERS AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BLEED
Theory Time: Featuring DONTSALTME69 probably being wrong
We've got much to discuss, so let's bullet-point this shit bc I love bullet-points:
Kris is conspiring with a mysterious Phone Person, who is either the Roaring Knight or working with the Knight (the exact phrasing of the conversation is murky enough to make that unclear). The Phone Person calls at the end of Ch4, and says that Kris "promised" something.
The Roaring Knight has antlers, a slightly feminine figure (like, on the spectrum it leans more fem than masc if we're gonna gender binary this), and the battle flavor text makes references to the north wind repeatedly. Also the east wind, which I'm blanking on what that represents.
Carol Holiday has a positive relationship with Kris, and says that YOU are welcome to visit whenever. The red text is in the game, too, so it is important in some way.
If you beat the Roaring Knight in Ch3, they don't actually dispatch Kris in the follow-up cutscene. They just put their sword on Kris' shoulder, and Kris kneels. This means that Kris and the Knight have at least some level of alignment, though the specifics are unclear.
Dess Holiday is conspicuously absent from the story, which has caused Noelle enough trauma that she froze up during a spelling bee against Berdly when prompted to spell "December".
There is a prophecy that predicts the entire story, and Kris is conspicuously absent from it in the Ch4 depiction of it.
My primary conclusions are that Carol Holiday is the Phone Person, and that either Carol or Dess Holiday is the Roaring Knight. The former I think is the current most popular theory, and unless it's Gaster there aren't really any good alternatives.
For the Roaring Knight, the primary question in my mind is which one of the two is it between Carol and Dess. Carol is a canonical katana-owner, which is a sword that looks kinda like the Knight's, has access to the shelter code (hence why the Roaring Knight hasn't made a move in her direction), is highly likely to be the Phone Person, and is obviously important in some way.
Dess, on the other hand, is conspicuously absent. She was good with a bat, which the Roaring Knight's sword resembles, and her antlers look closer to the Knight's (based on the Tenna flashback) than Carol's do.
Both feel realistic and appropriate for the kind of story and themes we've gotten so far, so I won't argue in either direction. I personally prefer Dess as the Roaring Knight, with Kris+Carol conspiring together independently of Dess, but that's more so "I think the story would be more interesting that way" than an actual "this is supported by in-story textual evidence" reading.
(also, during the process of writing this, I ended up discovering an Asgore scene in the Holiday household sequence where he's up to something, and mentions having a "black shard", which is also likely very important but probably not an indicator of him being the Knight or Phone Person)
The Shadow Crystal battle with the Hammer of Justice also directly signals that we will be heading to a "garden of pink and gold" for Chapter 5 (as the rest of his story is directly referencing the chapters of Deltarune), which is likely Asgore's flower shop. It gets charred by the flames of jealousy, though assuming that it's Asgore doing the charring feels a smidge hasty (especially with how Toby Fox tends to heavily recontextualize lines later in the story).
For a final note, I feel like a lot of people are being really hasty in how they're treating Carol Holiday. People immediately zero in on her being outright evil with Noelle and especially Kris as innocent victims in whatever plan she has cooked up, and while she's certainly not a nice person... I also think it's an assumption to avoid. It's very easy to just assume that the likely Phone Person who was mean to Susie (for admittedly pretty justifiable reasons, if I were a parent and I saw some kid I at best barely knew playing around with my dead/missing daughter's guitar, I'd be pissed) is also super evil, but that doesn't mean it's true.
This isn't to say that Carol is actually a darling angel, or that one is wrong to think she's a bad person (or a bad mother), but rather it speaks to how fandom does sometimes sand down characters to fit into the round hole. Berdly received this back in Ch2, where people assumed he was an incel with a crush on Noelle even after the text literally confirmed the opposite, because that's easy to conceptualize and simplify down because they don't like the character.
But that's all I really want to say right now. There's some other stuff concerning Sans that's very very interesting, but I'll leave that for another day. We also have not found any new Weird Route beyond the Ch3 minigame (which appears to just be evoking the route, rather than being it), so it's possible that we'll find some new information that recontextualizes everything in a couple days (IIRC, the Weird Route took a hot minute to discover, so it's not impossible for the fanbase to be missing something).
