🦠Hi everyone, Katastrophe here! This is my first “normal” post here, I’m a bit nervous to share this to be honest. Here you can see my M4fi0s0 design that me and a friend made for fun! It’s based on a giant pacific octopus. The arrow-looking thing on his head is supposed to represent a beak :>

It seems increasingly clear that John will be the only member of his team to bear the mantle of godhood. We still don't really know what boons this grants you, but I can make some educated guesses.

I assume, at least, that your aspect powers are greatly enhanced, and you gain more conscious control over then. For John, this will mean full command over The Windy Thing, which was incredible enough to start with. He has the potential to be a serious powerhouse.

What would a God Tiered Dave look like, though? He hasn't displayed any aspect abilities yet, as all of his time shenanigans have been the result of alchemy. It's possible he'll simply unlock time travel without the turntables, but that's a little boring. There's a whole world of other time manipulation abilities out there, and I hope he'll be able to broaden his repertoire eventually.

The trolls streamrolled their entire session without the God Tiers - which is kind of weird, when you think about it. If you can trivialize the game with alchemy and Echeladder levels alone, what are the God Tiers even for? They're starting to seem like overkill.

I suspect, then, that they're intended to be used in the postgame.

Even before ascending, John was able to create hurricanes on the scale of cities. As he is now, I wouldn't be surprised if he could affect the weather of an entire planet at once - which is something a God Tiered player may have reason to do, after entering their new universe.

Yup - it's the old 'Sburb is for terraforming' theory again, on a much grander scale this time. The God Tiers might just be for sculpting planets.

You need your dream self in order to ascend, which explains why John's the only one who pulled it off. Jade's is already dead, and Rose is planning on sacrificing hers to the Tumor. Dave's the only other person who could do it, but we now know that he won't.

Come to think of it, Jade might actually have a shot, since her dead Dream Self is a candidate for prototyping. The problem is that if Dream Jade comes back to life, she might not be a Dream Self anymore. Trying to perform the God Tier ritual with a sprite is exactly the sort of rule-bending that got them into this mess in the first place.

Hell, Terezi forewarned us against exactly this scenario!

what is the Ch4nc3 AI AU?

this is an AU is where my Oc is originally an AI, like Caine. She’s a malware AI, used for support and to be used as a firewall to avoid glitches and abstractions. Of course- she’s not perfect, and can’t fix everything

Ch4nc3 now has a D8 instead of a D6 head, and a partial suit instead of a leotard and tutu

She has thigh high boots and a kinda-floating pearl necklace to match her bracelets!

She is coded with human-like empathy, and has a purpose of support. She is a wonderful listener, and loves to fix problems!

Alright so this isn’t a usual post, but I wanted to make things clear rq.

I will not be posting any Gunshow (Mr. Puzzles x Mr. WPNZ) art for right now. I might change my mind about the ship, but currently I don’t like it. Why?

1- Mr. WPNZ just technically got introduced and I just personally don’t like it. (I understand the post SMG4 made and the end of SOFC [Silence of the cats] makes you guys wanna ship them.)

2- Mr. WPNZ hasn’t had a lot of character development, I guess you could say. He’s just got introduced (as I mentioned before) and I’d rather wait and see how him and Mr. Puzzles intereact.

That’s all, sorry if I hurt your feelings and please don’t hate on me for this! I might warm up to the ship, but right now I don’t like it.

We start by seeing the convo before John PCHOOOOOs off from Daves side now that he is in the Medium. His building is nothing but scaffolding which helps in understanding more what Sburb counts as a house. Rose and John are lucky compared to Dave, their whole house plus some of the yard area were brought to the medium. As we see, the only thing available to Dave is the floor he lives on, not even the neighboring roof the bird landes on or the many stairs he was launched down. I oh so desperately need to see Jades land now because I have an idea brewing about them that will be incomplete without it.

Getting back to the point, there is a change right before John captchas Casey. Dave tells John to wait as future him arrives. And here shines Johns skepticism. Gee, where was that when Gallows told him the plan?

John obviously thinks Dave is messing with him and using his phone and computer to message seperately which is uncharacteristic of Dave. In turn, that does give John some pause and his following remarks dont read as having the same level of of incerdulousness and bravado. Future!Dave unequips his suit and places all his loot down and then backflips into the half prototyped kernel. We see John PCHOOOOOing off again but this time labeled 'THIS IS STUPID' taking away some of the cool points from the previous rendition.

We get a small moment rehashing the convo with Rose and Jade from Roses side before she makes a nest of knitting for a nap. We get a flash of what can only be Future!Roses dream self before Rose readily falls asleep.

Davesprite takes the time to troll Gallows with his cool Apple shades. Gallows talks a big game about 'GU33S[1NG] TH3R3 W4S 4 CH4NC3 SOM3TH1NG L1K3 TH4T M1GHT H4PP3N' when being schooled by Davesprite about what exactly her actions lead to. Davesprite really gets on her about how bad the actively trolling aliens are about considering timeline possibilites and demands to speak to whoever they have in charge of time. Apparently there is one so add another Time player to the list of known types but shes also in the camp of "rather not bother with the humans". Gallows lets slip the selfprototyping is very much a thing that can happen normally its just not something any of them thought of and is technically a bending of the rules. I like this info because that means we can start looking for more of these moments or even just considering them as possibilities. Its not hacking the game if the game doesnt explicitly deny it.

They then exchange some almost flirty banter, if you can call it that, after Davesprite tells Gallows off from messaging John anymore about making him do things. After he and Dave have a chat where it's confirmed Sburb is the reason all the sprites crypticly relay info. The fun part is every sprite so far already has a reputation for speaking in roundabout terms so it's hard to tell what part of what they are sharing is genuine game fuckery and what is their own terrible communication skills.

Its so interesting reading Davesprite answering Dave and realizing not a single question got a straight answer. None. Either its a sidways answer like 'telling a troll to step off' rather than naming Gallows directly, not answering at all, 'thats the best fucking question anybody ever asked', or an answer that isnt an answer, 'but yeah i know more stuff now'. Especially with this last one and regarding John, you would think itd be easy enough to say "yes, but i gotta be cryptic" or "maybe, but John is John so who knows". They sound like answers until you think about it and realize that you gained next to nothing from them. Its facinating and now I wanna go back to Nannasprite and Jaspersprites convos to see if the same thing happened.

John very nearly makes it back to the seventh gate again before he flashbacks to the present Dave sent him pages ago. This time around we actually get to read a note that was sent with it that we didnt know existed. Its so very Dave. Reading it really highlights how much the 'irony' shtick feels like a cover for some very unhealthy performances of masculinity. Like, break it down a little.

First paragraph he thanks John for his cool shades but derides the bunny. Surface level is douchey, but reading deeper he acknowledges this is Johns passion and the same level of cool for John as it is for him even if he cant understand and genuinely a super cool thing to get a friend. Its further doubled down on in the second paragraph where he suggests displaying it but knows John is not that sort of person. We have seen John act with his posters so Dave is fairly sure John is gonna do something similar with the bunny. Then the third paragraph has the most level of sincerity Dave can muster in showing how much he finds John cool for being able to be his own genuine, dorky self. And Dave will do anything to keep John able to be that dorky. Lastly, because Striders are emotionally constipated, he leaves off with just the most random joke he can muster about their first meeting to cover for how he basically poured his heart out.

And this letter is what makes John reconsider his plan to reach the seventh gate. Because he knows Dave, better than we ever could. Dave is his friend, probably his bestest friend. Dave pesters him to see if he still went on that suicide mission and nearly yells at John, the best he can through a text medium, because he cares and he doesnt want John hurt. And maybe John cant understand exactly what is going on with the whole future selves, but he understands that Dave cares. A lot. So hes flying around and thinking about what he almost did to hurt his friend and realizing he was kinda dumb. But it wont stop him from continuing to talk to others. Hes just doing it with the knowledge hes not alone and he has friends who are there for him and with him. And thats what hes been missing in his whole attempt to get his dad. Hes been so single minded he forgot hes not alone.

John talks with Carcino, who has noticed along the timeline there are moments where John makes seemingly random decisions. These are probably moments where he remembers there are others who want to help because they love him. Thats why he tells Carcino 'you're learing the meaning about this human emotion called friendship.' Because while past him thought it was nonsense, current him now sees why the future him said that. He sees and understands it now.

Also in this conversation we see why future Carcino hated the idea of copy pasting. In Johns future he trolls Carcino about human babies and that probably made Carcino feel stupid. The whole past and future communication on the timeline is wild. But in a sense I see why John starts to find Carcino endearing enough to be a friend. Because he is so much like Dave when you get into it. They both care for this goober. In different ways yes, but after remembering Daves letter John starts to realize Carcino is also putting up a front. A shouty, angry front but one that is used to cover his true feelings none the less. Especially when Carcino starts to give John more insight into the game.

While we still dont get to learn what the games purpose is, we do get some other information. The dark planet is indeed called Derse and the name drop previously, now for sure confirmed, is kinda dissapointing when Prospit got such a cool animation for it. All the trolls are in their own game session hiding on a meteor of the Veil which seperates Skaia and The Furthest Ring, which is a new term. Im gonna breakdown each part of the lore we get from Carcino in a seperate post as well as some timeline thoughts because this is long and very late. Carcino lets John know the Veil isnt entirely barren. Some of the meteors have 'SEEDS' which are labs that help to engineer new soldiers and agents for both sides and are neutral ground much like the Lands. So this adds further to Carcino and John being able to use some sort of science to create... something. We know Rose will need to repopulate the fish and now that John knows these exist and was there last Carcino talked to him, its very likely Rose will get his help in doing so.
