30 Day Productivity Challenge - Day 1 (morning) - 05/07/2020

Okay, the first day of the challenge...gonna ease myslef into it
Sunday, July 5th, 2020 To Do:
Start Six of Crows - At least 2-3 Chapters
Finish Week One of Becoming a Teacher Course
Intoductory Unit for TEFL Course
Read and edit current section of thesis
Video for either French or Korean

Also first day of the challenge and first day of Chloe Ting's 2018 Summer Shredding Challenge! I want to start out light on the first day and give myself some time to adjust to this new challenge. I don’t have my French or Korean books with me at the moment becasue I am staying at my mom’s place for the time being, might be able to get them this weekend or something like that, so for the time being YouTube and maybe some free language learning sites will be my best friends. I’m also chose the above work out challenge because it’s was the longest program Chloe offered for free and becasue I really want to get in shape and do more than a monthly challenge.

So here I am. About to embark on the Chloe Ting Fitness challenge, which will be my first step towards a healthy me!!
I’ll be blogging my thoughts on the same so that I keep up with the challenge also the changes I’m going through, and finish the on time. and not slack off ;)

Day 1 - Part 2
Hey guys,
I guess I should catch you up on what I’ve gotten up to with this journey while procrastinating writing this blog. Starting with my anxiety. I realised that I needed a lot more help that didn’t involve Kalms. I know people who are reading this might say that ‘it must be easy to realise that you needed help straight away.’ But to be honest, I knew this for a long time. I just thought that I could handle it myself. I realised that it’s harder to do that.
I used to be so confused and frustrated as to why my friends were scared to see someone about their mental health but at the same time, I was also avoiding the same problem. The pot calling the kettle black, right? The idea of having to talk to someone professionally would send me running for the hills. But then my friend did and I was like if she can do then I can as well. So I did and I’ve been on Sertraline for about a month now. It’s helping me feel normal but I do get days where my anxiety come back at full force. I’ve gotten past most of the side effects. The only side effects that I have is bruising on my legs. I was worried at first but my best friend, who is on the same thing, said she’s getting them as well. That we’re twinning, which is cute.
Apart from this, I’ve also started exercising. I’ve started doing Chloe Ting Summer Shred 2021 challenge. Let me tell you something, The first day was sooooo hard. I nearly collapse at the end of the 2nd video cause my legs were like jelly. I had to skip the 3rd video. Normally I would beat myself up with that but I reminded myself that I just did 20min h.i.t exercises on the first day and It’s okay if I’m struggling with it. As long as I keep up with it, I’ll get better. That’s it so far, I’ll keep you updated.

Also side note, I swear Chole Ting is on another level. I was doing the cool down video and she said that she’s not that flexible. She then proceeded to put her legs in an L-position (sitting down) and touched her toes. I’m here, barely able to reach my calf. I actually swore at her hahaha

i feel so bad because i had a workout buddy too. i forgot their user but all i remember is that they had a green pfp and i think their @ said something along the lines of green boy.
i don’t want them to think that i up and left. ghosting them and forgetting about our workout challenge. please help me find them. i feel so bad and want to apologise :(
we was doing a chole ting workout challenge together as well. it was a 4 week weight loss program. fuck man, i’m having such a shitty ass fucking day. a day from hell i might i say

Got everything done but the workout, ain’t that just the way (to steal a line from Over the Garden Wall). It was a rough day today, but I was able to get stuff done. Not as quickly as I would have wanted but that’s okay, I wasn’t in tip top shape mentally or physically so I can give myself a break.
Not really to do with my tasks but I was just thinking that we spend so much time in school doing homework and hating it, from ages 5 to 18 for most and then more if you go to university or college, only to graduate from school and then essentially give yourself homework in the form of little tasks or goals you want to get done, or things you want to learn at your own pace. I guess I’m saying that as humans we never finish with wanting to change and better ourselves, not really. We are constant works in progress and unlike homework for school, you can’t hand youself in and be done. You as a person will never be finished, even if you die well into your hundreds, I’m sure there would still be things you wish you could accomplish. Comforting in a way, that people can only be the best possible versions of themselves in that moment, because no one will ever be perfect or what they consider to be the perfect verisons of themselves. Things to think about I guess.

8/22/20
day three of the chole ting two week shred challenge. didnt do so well today, ate alot and had trouble in the workouts. went to the farmers market and got lots of fruits and veggies so i can eat those instead of carbs. i read alot today, studied a bit, and cleaned my room. overall it was an ok day but tommoroww will be better. <3

3pm - two sweet potatos :(
dinner - too much pilaf and sausage ew

I've decided to commit to being a morning person. Inherently, I am a true night owl. But I want to stop eating at night without having to break my fast early. So I decided to start working out at 7am, eat between 5-8pm and be asleep by 11pm. It feels like a happy middle, but waking up is going to be hell on earth.
Update: My workout playlist has been updated for the Chole Ting 21 hourglass challenge, I'll be doing 15 minutes of jump rope and 30 minutes of walking in addition to the challenge.

I got everything done....mostly. Forgot how interesting my thesis is, I’m looking at the history of mental illness and asylums but through 12 personal accounts of people who actually experienced living in an asylum in the 1900s, 6 female accounts and 6 male. For the workout challenge, I tried it with my mom and she wasn’t really into the Chole Ting video so we tried a couple others and I think got a good 20 minutes in. I think I will try the Chole Ting video tomorrow by myself and see how it goes. Only got one chapter in to Six of Crows but I took a weed pill and it’s hitting me now so may as well call it a day! I’m really happy i more or less got everything done. May not have completed everything perfectly but at least an attempt was made and a portion was completed for everyone of my goals!!

30 Productivity Challenge
Okay so I started one of these ages ago, but never stuck with it. So I am starting one again. Corona kinda got me in a slump and I figured out some goals I have so I think I better get started with them!
Rules of the Challenge:
Post every morning with list of goals, post again in the evening with what has been completed. If something isn’t completed then I may tack it on to the next day or add it on to the weekend, depending on the task.
Monday-Friday (Unless a day off)
Must get 3 things done
Duolingo for French and Korean
Chole Ting Work Out Schedule
Saturday & Sunday
Must get 5 things done
Duolingo for French and Korean

*Those 3/5 things can be reading, thesis, Tefl, language learning related*

I need to get my thesis done before 2020 ends, which I think is a reasonable timeline given that I am over halfway done, just haven’t so much as looked at it in months. I am also doing a tefl/tesol course because I would like to teach English in South Korea maybe as soon as January. I have so many languages I would like to learn but I am focusing on French and Korean at the moment as I am from Canada and it really opens up a lot more doors career wise if you know our two official languages and I am learning Korean because I started learning it in Univeristy and really liked it and of course it would come in handy for when I go over there to teach. Finally, I want to start reading again, I had been reading so much before Corona and even set a 100 book challenge for this year and so far I have read 12. I wanted to add it to my list of options for productive things to do so I have a fun option as well so it’s not just work, work, work all the time.
So those are my goals and rules to this challenge, though if I find that this is too much for me with full-time work I will revise. I want to be able to make it through this in a healthy and sustainable way, not just over-work myself and then burn out and end up resenting this or feeling guilty and unhappy with myself becasue I couldn’t complete the challenge.
First day is today so let’s go!! Allons-y!! 가자!!
