ok i beat pyre and i’m super emotional, i just wanna like list out who i freed in each order (spoilers obvs!) i’m so emotional about it!!!

1. Jodariel, I knew I wanted to free one of the original three first but she was the only one with enough enlightenment to go. It was sooo hard and I missed her the entire game, I also never got to hear her backstory. Hedwyn’s dialogue after made me cry lmao.

2. Rhae, I was thinking in terms of the ~revolution and I felt like her optimism and brightness would be a good balance to Jodi’s practicality and sterness, they would work well together to unite ppl

3. Rukey, I was planning on Hedwyn first but then Rukey told me his story and literally begged me to let him go home and see his mom...I couldn’t say no :’(

4. Hedwyn, which I rly hated to do bc I really valued and needed his friendship the whole time! But you know, if you love them let them go etc etc. Wish he didn’t end up with the bird girl tho, his backstory was kind of underwhelming to me tbh.

5. Pamitha, we were winding down by this point and I just felt like I could trust her to handle things up there.

6. Sir Gilman, I love my muppety worm!! Poor dude didn’t even deserve to be down there in the first place (not that anyone did, but u know), and it worked perfectly bc he hit his full mastery right before getting sent up

7. ......I chose Sandalwood for our last liberation rite. But then, then that supergiant choice at the end!! Honestly I was half considering throwing the match from the start to let oralech go, but then he said he wouldn’t help the revolution and i just felt like this was more important. and then! i just was so torn about the end, i wanted to free all of us, in the end i took it for myself. i feel kind of terrible about it. but my reasoning was that sandalwood offered it to me, and why would the scribes be giving us this opportunity if i wasn’t meant to take it? 

man i’m so upset tho bc then oralech killed himself......and apparently if i had let him win i would still have the chance to ascend myself and he wouldn’t die?? so i’m v distraught about that lolol. i feel so guilty! honestly...i’m gonna pretend in my mind that that happened, bc besides that the ending was pretty much perfect. sandalwood is gonna make the downside a better place, with his buddies betrude and oralech and tizo. my reader and sandra hook up which is amazing. the original three plus reader are all free together! 

wow ok i’m sorry i really loved this game so much. supergiant games are always good but this one was next level for me. i think bc bastion and transistor are both very lonely games, which is a great atmosphere, but this one is very found family and all about the bonds and three as one!!!! and it kills me! i’m so intrigued, there were a few times i wanted to throw the liberation rite, it would be so interesting to see the different ways the story could play out. i played it on easy bc i was too scared of losing lmao but i think it would be ideal to play it at a  not impossible challenge and take your wins and losses as you go.
