my first art fight has come to an end! I didn't draw each day, but still managed to draw exactly 31 attacks; most of them in this lineless style of mine that I wanted to practice. I had lots of fun both attacking and receiving attacks, big thanks for anyone who drew something of my characters!!!
owners of the characters, from left to right (tagging people who have a tumblr account, untagged names are from art fight site): @zaraku, hech, @sylph--scope, @jordvnnoel, Laffodil, sagewisp, LugiaXawesome, champbot, AllanaJinx10, sunshinegremlin

Well, we’ve all heard of Glamping, but have you heard of Champing? It’s camping in a church that is no longer used for regular worship, and your hosts are called “ChampBots.” It’s a way for the historical trusts of the magnificent churches to earn money to maintain the buildings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is St. Cuthbert’s, a medieval sandstone beauty just outside the quiet village of Holme Lacy in Herefordshire.
Tumblr media
Frankly, I’m not so sure about spending the night with crypts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Children are welcome, b/c there’s so much space to run around.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ChampBots are even kind enough to provide teabags, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and all your cups and cutlery. Bottled water is provided, as are camping lanterns and battery candles for when it gets dark at night.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ChampBots will clean up after you leave. If you’re wondering about the bathroom, there’s ChampLav, set up in a pretty cabin in the churchyard, w/a dry separating toilet. So, what do you think?

Tips to choosing coding robots for kids
It’s easy for parents to spend a ton of money on seemingly great toys that quickly end up in the trash. Instead, look at some of the great robot toys that you can get for your aspiring inventor. These robots for kids can introduce kids to STEM concepts, activate their inner “maker”, and even teach them some coding. Plus these toy robots are also, you know, a hell of a good time.
Plus, they can help kids learn cognitive skills like critical thinking and problem solving. When choosing robot and coding toys, parents should make sure they’re age-appropriate, first and foremost, because if you get them something that looks really good but is far too advanced, they’ll only get discouraged. And bored. Some coding toys require apps and screens, while others do not, so choose whatever option works best for you and parenting style. You’ll find that some of our robot toys are modular, meaning they pair well with existing toys like Legos, so their shelf life by definition will be longer. remote control car with night vision https://www.robotsden.com/best-remote-control-car-with-night-vision
No, there’s no one toy that will magically make your kid smarter. But robot and coding kits can teach them about creative problem-solving and instill in them a love of science and math. So if you’re looking for a high-tech robot toy for your high-tech non-robot kid, look no further. We’ve rounded up a bunch of cool robots kits for kids that are beloved Fatherly staff and their offspring alike.
Kids get bored with toys. That’s especially painful when said toys are on the pricier side. Here’s a coding kit, for kids five and up, that aims to keep them engaged by giving them 23 parts to build their dream ‘bot. Oh, and best of all, this set works with Lego bricks, thanks to adapters supplied with the kit. Lego builders ready to up their game can combine the blocks with the interconnecting rods and parts, and build ever more functional and complex robots.
It’s a gorgeous classic toy train, but with smart features for savvy young kids. Younger children play screen-free, just like with a regular toy train, and learn to control the smart train’s navigation and speed by using colored plastic tiles that snap on and off the tracks. If you do opt for screens, download the app and they can really go wild with the train. Do Robotic Pool Cleaners Really Work https://www.robotsden.com/do-robotic-pool-cleaners-really-work Kids eight and up can connect the buggy with regular ol’ Legos, and can turn it into anything from a ladybug to an alien to a sloth. They learn Scratch, Python or Arduino (C++) programming to make whatever they create come to life. And because this is Lego-compatible, it never gets old or boring.
This pocket-sized coding robot toy can follow you, play music, or escape using its sensors. Kids can teach him more tricks using the OzoBlockly code. Or else kids (meaning you) can choose to go screen-free and code Evo with color and markers. We like that you’re not tethered to a device when using this robot.
This is the perfect gift for fans of the NBA or the WNBA. The ChampBot coding kit lets kids program the robot to score points and shoot baskets. It has three servo motors, two DC motors and an IR sensor, and is meant for kids eight and up. A compatible iOS or Android device is needed to work this robot. arduino robot arm source code https://www.robotsden.com/7-arduino-robotic-arm-project-ideas-tutorial-plus-source-code
Kids three and up enter different codes to control the robot’s movements, teaching kids about early math concepts, colors, shapes, and letters. Plus, kids program the robot to move in different ways. There are three ways to play: free coding, learning challenges, and by using secret codes.
Once kids connect the board, button, and bits, they move their hands to swing lightsabers, levitate X-wings, pilot starships, make lightning, and fight stormtroopers. It works with Apple and Android products. It’s great for kids six and older. You need a tablet to really get the max use out of this coding toy, so if you’re not into screen time, think twice. The idea is simple yet brilliant. Kids love music, and now, they can can compose their own tunes by arranging Osmo’s coding blocks into patterns and sequences. It’s great for kids six and up. Worth noting: This doesn’t work without the Osmo base, which is sold separately. Kids can play games with Cozmo, sure. But what’s really cool is switching him into explorer mode and guide him to places, and see what he sees on a smartphone or tablet. He’ll even greet people on command. He’s great for kids eight and up. best robot toys for 10 year olds https://www.robotsden.com/best-robot-toys-for-10-year-old
Kids built the robot of their dreams with these cubelets. They are little blocks of software inside little blocks of hardware and because block has a special function, how kids assemble their robot changes its behavior. Every single time. It’s great for kids four and older.
Kids eight and up can construct the construction truck of their dreams, and then code it to do whatever they want. They can create buildable, codable robots like Dozerbot and Dirtbot or design their own. They then download the app and get step by step instructions on how to build the thing and make it work. They use the Blockly coding platform, which lets kids build and code these robots to perform programs and tricks.
This great set teaches electrical circuits with conductive and insulating dough, letting kids squish, mold, and sculpt the dough while learning about engineering and tech. This is better for older kids, because you need to be somewhat careful when using it. are robotic pool cleaners worth it https://www.robotsden.com/do-robotic-pool-cleaners-really-work
Great for kids five and up, Botley is a fantastic solution for parents concerned with screen obsession. Botley is operated via a remote and kids have him navigating obstacles, moving in patterns, or completing simple tasks. They can also build their own challenges. The one caveat is: Botley looks cute. Botley is fun. Botley is also a lot like a remote controlled car.
Suitable for kids eight and older, the Bolt is the size of a baseball. It has an LED light matrix that lets kids program the robot to show characters, vector graphics, sensor data, or play games on the matrix itself.  Coolest of all is BOLT’s built-in compass that allows kids to drive the robot, and program it to follow real-world directions on a map.

UBTech drops Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on codable robots
UBTech, the maker of the top holiday toy of the year, has just announced that it is dropping the biggest discounts ever on its line of codable kits at major online and physical retail outlets including on Amazon.com, Target.com, BestBuy.com and Walmart.com. UBTech will knock off the prices for the JIMU Robot Mythical Series: UnicornBot Kit, the Marvel Avengers: Endgame Iron Man Mk50 Robot and the recently released JIMU Robot Mythical Series: FireBot Kit and JIMU Robot Competitive Series: ChampBot Kit. These robots help enhance kids’ thinking skills. Perhaps the most important knowledge to hone — aside from values taught at home and at school — are basic STEM skills: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. These skills are the key academic disciplines that produce the next scientists, programmers, engineers and doctors. This year, UBTech’s Marvel Avengers: Endgame Iron Man Mk50 Robot topped the list of the 50 Best Holiday Toys to Gift after it was unveiled in April. This Iron Man collectible is more than just a toy. You can control the robot's motors, lights and sounds using a mobile device.  When it was released, it was priced at $289. Now, UBTech has dropped the price to $199 for Black Friday on November 29. UBTech is also slashing the price for the JIMU Robot Mythical Series: UnicornBot Kit, a radiant white unicorn with purple tail and mane that kids can program to see its LED horn change colors. From its release price of $119.99, UnicornBot will only cost $89.99 through the deal on November 29. During Cyber Monday on December 2, parents and kids can check out the deals on the recently launched JIMU Robot Mythical Series: FireBot Kit and JIMU Robot Competitive Series: ChampBot Kit. The JIMU ROBOT Mythical Series: Firebot Kit was released at $129.99 back in October. On Cyber Monday, shoppers can purchase it for only $99.99! Kids from age 8 and up will be able to code the dragon-looking Firebot robot via the JIMU Robot app that's available for iOS and Android devices. The app features step-by-step, 3D and 360° instructions to help kids build all 606 pieces together. The pieces include two different sets of wings for customization. Users can program the Firebot's LED snout to glow red or blue. The other deal on Cyber Monday is on the JIMU Robot Competitive Series: ChampBot Kit. It was released alongside the Firebot at $129.99. On Cyber Monday, you can score it for only $99.99. As with the Firebot robot and all the other JIMU robots, the Champbot Kit requires no tools to build. With the Champbot Kit, kids can build either Champbot itself or ScoreBot or BasketBot. If they are creative enough, they can also choose to build a robot of their own. Check out all of these deals on UBTech’s codable robots on Black Friday, November 29, and on Cyber Monday on December 2. They will be available on Amazon.com, Target.com, BestBuy.com and Walmart.com. Get ahead of the Christmas holiday shopping rush and check out all the Black Friday deals from major retailers like Walmart and Amazon. You can find all of Walmart's Black Friday 2019 deals in the official Walmart Black Friday 2019 Ad. The Amazon Black Friday 2019 deals are featured again in the popular Amazon Black Friday 2019 Deals list. See also the Black Friday 2019 ads from other stores. JIMU Announces Dragon and Sports Robotics Kits
We checked out Jimu’s Builderbots last year and were impressed with these amazing construction and coding kits. Jimu has even more exciting products out now, from a dragon to robotic champions!
If you’re going through Game of Thrones withdrawal, check out the FireBot Kit. It’s a robotic dragon, complete with an LED “fire” that can be set to either red or blue, plus you can program it to flap its wings. My son, who is 6, has already told me 4x that he now wants a robot dragon after seeing the press materials, so it looks like this should be a hit with the target audience!
Admittedly, it looks cool, especially with the cinematic music:
youtube
If your kid needs an edge in the world of robotic sports, check out ChampBot Kit. Depending on the configuration, it plays basketball, or apparently soccer, based on the description of being able to dodge obstacles and score goals. Honestly, it sounds like it might make more sense for me to send out ChampBot for my son’s next baseball game, considering he attempted to have a nice, relaxing lay down on second base last time.
Check out these fancy moves:
youtube
Both kits come with motors, snap-together pieces, and there’s a free companion app for programming as well as instructions on how to build the various configurations. They’ll be retailing at Target, Amazon, and ubtrobot.com for $129.99 each.
