Well, we’ve all heard of Glamping, but have you heard of Champing? It’s camping in a church that is no longer used for regular worship, and your hosts are called “ChampBots.” It’s a way for the historical trusts of the magnificent churches to earn money to maintain the buildings.

This is St. Cuthbert’s, a medieval sandstone beauty just outside the quiet village of Holme Lacy in Herefordshire.  

Frankly, I’m not so sure about spending the night with crypts. 

Children are welcome, b/c there’s so much space to run around. 

The ChampBots are even kind enough to provide teabags, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and all your cups and cutlery. Bottled water is provided, as are camping lanterns and battery candles for when it gets dark at night.  

The ChampBots will clean up after you leave. If you’re wondering about the bathroom, there’s ChampLav, set up in a pretty cabin in the churchyard, w/a dry separating toilet. So, what do you think?

JIMU Announces Dragon and Sports Robotics Kits

We checked out Jimu’s Builderbots last year and were impressed with these amazing construction and coding kits. Jimu has even more exciting products out now, from a dragon to robotic champions!

If you’re going through Game of Thrones withdrawal, check out the FireBot Kit.
