The evening sky was already darkening when you heard the distant rumble of thunder. A storm was brewing, the kind that would take a while. Chan and Felix were sprawled on the couch, lost in their thoughts. Chan was tracing patterns on the coffee table, a clear sign of his deepening worries. Felix, always the light of your trio, had his eyes fixed on the window, watching the sky.

“Looks like a big one,” Felix murmured his voice a soft echo in the room.

You moved to sit between them, taking each of their hands in yours. “We’ll be fine. It’s just a storm," you giggled softly. 

But as if on cue, the lights flickered, then died, plunging the room into darkness. A collective sigh escaped the three of you, a mix of frustration and resignation. Power outages were rare but always unwelcome. None of you was a fan of sitting in the dark, unable to do anything productive, and waiting around until the lights went back on. 

Felix fumbled around for his phone, the flashlight cutting through the darkness. “Well, this is cozy,” he tried to joke, but his smile didn’t quite reach his eyes. They wanted to watch a couple of movies tonight since both Chan and him had a day off tomorrow. 

Chan’s brow furrowed, the weight of the world seeming to press down on him as so often. “I had so much work to do,” he muttered, more to himself than anyone else. His laptop wouldn't make it that long anymore. 

You squeezed his hand, offering silent support. You knew how much pressure he put on himself, always striving to be the best leader, artist, and partner. “Let’s make the most of it,” you suggested softly.

Felix’s face lit up with an idea. “Storytime!” he exclaimed. “We’ll each tell a story. No lights, no distractions. Just us and our imaginations.”

Chan seemed hesitant at first, but at your encouraging nod, he gave in. “Alright. But I’m going first, and it’s going to be a scary one.”

The stories began, each taking turns. Chan’s tale was indeed scary, filled with ghosts and unexplained noises that made Felix jump, and the two of you giggle at him. Felix’s story, in contrast, was a fun adventure full of strange creatures and magical lands. Your story was a sweet one, a tale of love and hope that left you all feeling a bit warmer inside and made you scoot closer to each other. As the stories ended, the storm outside grew stronger, the rain hitting against the windows like a scary symphony. 

Felix was the first to break the comfortable silence. "You know, I'm actually glad the power's out," he whispered, his voice soft but earnest.

Chan turned towards him, a question in his eyes. "Why's that?"

"Because it's moments like these... when everything else fades away, that I remember what's truly important," Felix explained, his gaze flickering between Chan and you. "Us, together, making the best of any situation."

You felt her heart swell at his words, and you leaned in to kiss Felix's cheek gently. "You're such a sap," you teased, but your voice was thick with emotion.

Chan let out a small chuckle, his earlier tension easing. "He's right, though. We get so caught up in the rush of our lives that we forget these quiet moments. I'm grateful for this... for both of you."

The storm outside raged on, but the atmosphere was warm and gentle inside. You shared stories of their past, dreams for the future, and little confessions that only came out in the safety of darkness.

The storm began to lighten as the hours passed, the rain growing soft. The power, however, showed no signs of returning. You suggested building a pillow fort, to which your boys agreed almost immediately. You gathered some blankets and pillows, building a small sanctuary in the middle of the living room.

Inside your fort, the outside world felt miles away. You spoke in hushed tones, shared gentle touches, and let the simplicity of the moment embrace you.

"I wish we could stay like this forever," Felix whispered, his voice barely audible over the sound of the rain.

You felt a pang of longing at his words, knowing that this cocoon of warmth and love couldn't shield you from the world forever. "We'll always have moments like this, no matter what happens outside," you reassured him, your hand finding his in the dark.

Chan, who had been unusually quiet, spoke up, his voice steady and certain. "We'll make time for this. For us. No matter how busy we get, we need these moments to remind us why we're doing all of it in the first place."

Your agreement was a silent vow, a promise to cherish and prioritize these shared experiences and sparks of joy amidst the chaos of your busy lives.

As the night progressed, the storm finally ceased. The power was still out, but in your little fort, it hardly mattered. You lay together, a tangle of limbs and soft breaths, drifting towards sleep with hearts full of gratitude.

Feeling the steady breathing of Felix and you, Chan realized that this was what true strength felt like. Not the neverending demands of his professional life but the gentle, unwavering support of the people he loved.

Nestled between the two most important people in his life, Felix let go of his usual excitement, finding peace in the quiet.

And you, the heart of your little trio, felt a deep sense of happiness, knowing that everything was perfect in this small, fleeting moment.

As sleep took over, the power flickered back to life, the lights casting a soft glow on the peaceful scene. But inside your fort, shielded from the world, you stayed in this blissful darkness, proof of the power of your love and connection in the midst of life's storms.

Chan let out a sigh, you said this would be the place you find Felix. Gripping the bottle tight in his palms with his head hung low. Chan can’t help but feel bad. Felix wouldn’t be feeling like this if it wasn’t for him. Maybe you and Felix could’ve worked it out. As much as he loves Felix, Chan could see life slowly drain from your eyes. He couldn’t sit around and let it go on longer.

Felix brings his bottle of beer to his lips taking gulps, letting the sensation cool his scratchy throat from all the crying. Felix could hear the footsteps slowly making their way toward him. Felix slowly shifts his weight so the person coming up to him will only be able to the back of his head.

���I'll have what he is having.” Felix recognized Chan's voice, he didn’t know whether he wanted to punch him or ignore him.

“How did you know I was here?” Chan could barely hear the weak question that he was asked. Chan thanked the bartender, taking a sip of his beer. Chan rarely drinks, but at this moment he hoped that this could open up a doorway to heal his and Felix friendship.

After a few moments of silence Felix turns his head back towards Chan to see him picking at the label on the bottle. “They told you where I would be right?”

“Yes. They were worried about you.” Chan finally got a look at Felix's face. Felix always had this glow that would follow him, everywhere he stepped a room could like up. But right now in this small, smokey bar Felix looks absolutely drained. Like he spent hours going over what happened between you two. How he let you turn into a shell of a person. How he failed you. But what really shook him to his core was how could his best friend be there to pick up the pieces. How Chan can take you and ignore how he still loved you. How you moved on so quickly from a relationship that ended only a month ago.

“Let me guess you are worried too?” Felix scoffs, rolling his eyes, taking the last sips of his drink, slamming it down. Calling the bartender for another. Chan could only watch with sadness at the mess his friend has become.

“Felix man, this isn't a good coping mechanism. You need to go seek someone to talk to. You are gonna drink yourself away.” Chan reached out his hand, gently patting Felix's shoulder. Throwing Chan’s hand off of him he stands up, “Do not touch me chan.”

The bartender getting ready to stop the argument and tell them to leave. Chan just offers a soft smile and a simple wave hoping it gets the message through. The bartender nods, walking away to help the other customers.

“Sorry, I just want to make sure you are okay?”

“Ill be okay when you break up with yn. They were mine first, how could you.” Felix was starting to get frustrated, he trusted chan. He trusted you. And you both played him in his face. He felt dumb, hollow, alone.

“And look how you treated them lix. I had to save them, they were dying.” Chan could remember how full of life you were when you and felix started dating, he could remember when you started losing your spark, when you started living in the shadow of felix.

“Yeah but you ended up killing me instead. You are my best friend, do you know how painful it is to watch them fall in love with you. To watch the way they look at you how they used to look at me?”

“You can’t keep blaming me for your mistake felix. I did nothing but help them and I'm coming to you to try to help you. Please let me help you.” Chan watches the tears slip out of Felix's eyes, running down his face.

“I'm envious of you chan, because the love of my life is now the love of your life and i can’t compete with you. Just leave me alone, seeing you is just reminding me of a shit person I was and I can’t deal with that right now.” Felix sits back on the stool, drinking out his bottle tears staining his cheeks.

Chan nods, placing money on the table to cover his and Felix's tab. Chan gives one more glance at Felix hoping that he may have changed his mind. But Felix continued to ignore Chan, staring out at nothing.

Felix only looks back when he hears the doors open, he wishes he didn’t because there stood you, staring at chan hands clasped together hoping for good news. Felix could see the way your head droops, between the swinging of the door going in and out. And right before it closes, he sees it. Your smile, the one that always dazzled a room.

That is when Felix realized you are the lost of his life.

“Should we go trio again?”

Chan, who was watching tv, paused his video. “It’s one of the fun things about being together. You have to take advantage of it.”

You nodded. “Important question: are either of you opposed to wearing dresses?”

Chan seemed confused but Felix just shrugged. “Nah.” Chan echoed the same sentiment after a moment before adding “Do you have a good idea or do you just want to see us in dresses?”

“Yeah,” Felix added. “Because we’ll do it anytime.”

The thought made you giddy but you refocused. “In that case, we could always go classic trio. Powerpuff Girls!”

The men seemed less than enthused. 

You shrugged “Just a thought.”

“Hmm,” Chan hummed in thought. “What about Ghostbusters?”

“There are 4 Ghostbusters.” You frowned.

He groaned, rolling his eyes. “Ok maybe we just say Stantz is sick.”

Felix shook the mattress as he jumped up and down in excitement. “O! What about Batman, Robin, and Batgirl!”

Your eyes light up. “That’s a great idea!”

Chan sat up, now excited as well. “Good idea, Lix!”

“I wanna be Robin!” the younger says.

“I’ll be Batman. Robin shouldn’t go kissing my girl though.” Chan jests.

He starts searching for costumes on his laptop as Felix protests next to him. “Actually Dick and Barbara were together-” 

“Sure, Boy Wonder.”

Felix jumps on Chan as they begin to play fight. You laugh as you take the laptop and peruse through a list of trio costumes. Some are interesting though less fun than Felix’s idea, others have you cringing at the suggestions.

“Oh what about Woody, Buzz, and Jessie from Toy Story!”

Chan sits up from where he has Felix pinned under him, holding the boy’s wrists in his hand. “Oh that’s a good one too!”

Felix squirms under him. “I wanna be Buzz!”

“Trying to get with my girl again, Lightyear?”

“Buzz and Jessie are together!”

Chan knows that but has fun egging his boyfriend’s ranting on.

Next to them, you add both positively received ideas to the list, knowing you might have to deal with it more later since your boyfriends seem riled up now.

Part II: Party Party...yeah?

Three drunks at party can get rough.

Part of the time you three are glued together, somewhere in the middle of where the dancing is happening, grinding on each other in a way that has people that don’t know you questioning if they’re going to see a threesome and the three of you about to give them that show.

The other times you are all lost in the dim party lighting unsure of when you separated. You become aware of the lack of warmth you’re used to and drunkenly look for your boyfriends. He seems to sober up ever so slightly, recognizing you’re at the point where you can’t handle being around other people like this. Last time he and Felix insisted on you staying with them you ended up passing out in a linen closet and they couldn’t find you for three hours.

He takes your hand intending to lead you but you walk much faster. You want to find your third before you start crying. Alcohol and your emotions make for a rollercoaster when you aren’t careful. 

And with the way the three of you were downing "ghost shots" when you arrived, you weren’t careful at all.

Chan spots the blonde in his Robin costume. You didn’t see him at first but saw the man sifting through the bowl of candy as you approached. 

“You remember we have candy at home right?” Chan says making Felix jump. He was barely phased by the older being strangely close, instead, his attention turned to your purse. “Yeah, but this is free candy.” He gently tugs you closer to him by the strap. You’re confused for a second, not having paid attention too much thanks to how good he looks in his costume, until you realize what he’s doing. He unzips your bag, dumping his loot in. The purse is more decorative than anything else but he doesn’t seem to care much.

“Technically our candy IS free for you because I bought it.” Chan chastises though doesn’t try to stop him. Clearly, he wasn’t listening anyway as he took a final mini snicker before zipping the bag.

He finally looks up at you, whining. “Can we go home now?”

Chan rolls his eyes probably muttering how that is why you both came to find him but you're so endeared by him you just nod and take his hand.

Part III: Back to Bed

Coming into the house was already alleviating the pressure you felt. As if you couldn’t stand it anymore you started to strip as you made for the bedroom immediately. Felix follows suit, mask then cape, before basically breaking the back of the outfit to pull it down around his waist. Chan starts cleaning up behind you two silently.

By the time you flop back on the bed, you’ve somehow managed to pull yours completely off.

Chan sees Felix struggling with the tightness of the pants. You open your eyes at the grunt Felix lets out. As you watch Chan start to strip Felix you feel the sparks of arousal. Felix in turn helps your Batman do the same. Your mind starts to delve further into desire as he fixes Chan’s hair after undressing him. It’s short-lived as Felix pouts, putting his arms out to hug you but tackling you backward onto the bed instead. You laugh as you stroke his head. Silently, he’s picking up everything on the floor. You watch for a moment as he flints around the room like a fairy, cleaning the tornado that is his drunken partners. You laugh to yourself as you get up. Doing as you did earlier, you take the discarded costume from his hand. He looks confused but lets you lead him to the bed. You sit on the bed, holding his hand to drag him with you as you scoot back. Felix finds you again with his eyes still closed as Chan lays on his back with a deep sigh. 

The alcohol settles in your system again as you feel how tired you are. 

Chan seems to feel the same. “Only two more to go.”

“Huh?” you look over to him, his hands behind his head and his eyes closed.

He opens an eye to peek at you. “Minho’s party is next week.” Chan states.

“And our company party is on Halloween.” Felix adds.

You groan loudly rolling to your side to curl into a ball. Somehow you’d forgotten it was only the 20th. “We shoulda just gone as ghosts.”

Felix laughs and he sits up resting on your side. “Sounds like more free candy to me.”

The sun was setting, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink as you, Chan, and Felix made your way to the beach. You had decided to escape the hustle of their daily lives for a quiet evening by the sea with the rest of the group. The air was filled with the salty scent of the ocean and the gentle sound of waves hitting the shore.

As the others set up a place for later, the three of you decided to go for a walk. You kicked off your shoes, feeling the still warm sand between your toes. Felix immediately ran towards the water, his laughter echoing in the air. Chan watched him with a fond smile you've seen so often before. 

"Come on, you two!" Felix called out, splashing water in your direction.

You laughed and grabbed Chan's hand, pulling him towards the water. "Let's not let him have all the fun!"

You spent a few moments having fun in the shallow waves, the setting sun casting a golden glow on your boyfriends' faces. Felix attempted to splash both Chan and you, leading to a playful water fight. The sound of your laughter mixed with the soothing rhythm of the ocean. 

As the sky slowly darkened, you decided to walk back along the beach, the sand now cool under your feet. Felix found a stick and started drawing in the sand. He sketched a simple heart, adding their initials inside, and smiled at you. 

Chan stood beside you, watching Felix with an affectionate gaze. "He never stops surprising us, does he?" Chan said, his voice soft.

You nodded, heart swelling with love for the two men who meant the world to you. "He's our little bundle of surprises."

"Shut up," Felix smirked.

You continued your walk, the stars beginning to sparkle in the night sky. Chan wrapped an arm around your shoulder, pulling you close. Not wanting to be left out, Felix wrapped his arm around Chan's waist.

As you reached your friends, they already set up a small bonfire. You loved spending time with all of them. Minho was preparing some dinner with the help of Jeongin, Seungmin and  Changbin were playfully arguing about a current song. Jisung was staring at the fire, peacefully leaning against Hyunjin, who also didn't pay much attention to them. 

As the night went on, the fire began to fade, and the group started to leave. Chan, Felix and you decided to make your way back to the car. 

The moon was shining bright, casting a silver glow over the water. Sitting on the cool sand, you gazed at the ocean. Felix rested his head on Chan's shoulder, his eyes reflecting the moonlight. You leaned against Felix, your hand finding Chan's, intertwining your fingers.

"Moments like these make everything worth it," Chan said softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Felix hummed in agreement, his eyes closing. "I wouldn't trade this for the world."

You looked at the two most important people in your life fondly. "You guys are my world," you said, voice thick with emotion.

"And you are ours," Chan answered lovingly. 

You sat there in silence for a while, each lost in your own thoughts. Eventually, Felix sat up. "I dare you both to race back to where we started," he challenged, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Chan raised an eyebrow, a competitive spark lighting up in his eyes. "You're on, Lix."

You laughed, standing up with them. "Alright, but no cheating!"

With a countdown, you took off, running along the beach, your laughter echoing in the night. The race was less about winning and more about enjoying the moment. You all knew Chan would win easily. 

Chan reached the destination first, throwing his arms up in victory. Felix and you arrived moments later, out of breath but beaming with happiness.

"Okay, you win," Felix laughed, ruffling Chan's hair.

Chan stuck his tongue out playfully. "I always do."

You put your shoes back on and began the walk back to your car. As Chan drove back home, you knew that these moments were the ones you would cherish forever: the laughter, the ocean, the race. 

Chan glanced at Felix, who was already dozing off in the backseat, and then at you, your eyes reflecting the streetlights as they passed. He felt an overwhelming sense of love and happiness, knowing that you had each other no matter what the future held.

And in the end, that was all that mattered.

Your feet have been killing you all day. You recently became a team leader in your job and your boss has you doing so much more work. More work than a singular individual can handle, that’s for sure.

It doesn’t help that the time you spent not sitting down, you were dealing with hotheaded customers and irritable colleagues. You honestly could feel like crying, it was just becoming too overwhelming.

You don’t see Chris’ car in the driveway and for some reason that made you even more upset. You knew he and Felix were at work, they always are until late. Yet here you are, selfishly wanting them to drop whatever it is that they are doing and come and dote on you.

After several attempts of failing to get the house key in the hole, the dam broke and you burst into tears. To anybody driving by, you look ridiculous as you throw your keys carelessly and put up a fuss.

You are much too old to be acting out like this, but you feel as if you deserve to at least. Who cares what anybody thinks about a crazy person sobbing and hyperventilating by their front door? Not you! Maybe the world should have been nicer to you and not drive you to having a breakdown before you even reached the confinements of your own home.

You simply do not care.

What you should care about however is the look on Chris’ face as he opens the door to see you…well…having a tantrum. Lucky for him, you miss the way he covers his mouth to stop himself from laughing at your antics before grabbing a hold of you as he gently caresses your head.

“Shh, breathe Y/n, breathe. What’s all these tears for hmm?” Chris asks as he pulls away to look at your tear stained cheeks. He moves you inside before he grabs what he assumes are your keys that dangle in the bush.

You take a deep breath and you inhale his scent, it immediately calms you down as you release a shaky breath. He crouches down and unlaces your shoes, tapping your calf lightly to let you know that you can take them off.

"I thought you were at work. Your car isn't here." You say, sniffling.

"Mhm, we had to be escorted out of work early today. They said they would tell us why tomorrow. So Felix and I got dropped back." Chris says after putting your shoes away neatly.

You let out a noise of surprise as Chris lifts you up and carries you to your shared bedroom. Sitting down and pulling you into his lap as he sits up against the headboard, lightly swaying you.

“You gonna tell me what all that crying was for now?” Chris coos, wiping your tears. You let out a big sigh before responding.

“I feel like my feet are going to fall off. I’m dealing with complete assholes at work. I barely get a break, I feel like the ant that everybody keeps stepping on!” You complain, using your hands to exaggerate as you get worked up again.

The door suddenly opens and you see a head of blue hair poking in.

“Oh, I knew I heard your voice in here.” Felix says coming into the room. You can see his headset wrapped around his neck so you assume he has just finished a gaming session.

“Hi angel” Felix says before jumping on the bed to rest his head on your thighs. It takes Chris to lightly kick him on his leg for him to look up and see your wet cheeks.

He immediately frowns upon registering your mood and crawls up the bed to sit beside you and Chris, putting his headset on the bedside table.

"What's wrong sweetheart? What happened?" His face turns from concerned to a scowl. "Do I need to hurt somebody?"

That makes you laugh slightly, breaking his sudden harsh exterior back to a bright smile.

"Y/n has been feeling quite unappreciated at work."

Felix's eyebrows raise slightly and sits up, facing both you and Chris.

"Oh we can't be having that can we Chris," To which Chris shakes his head no, rubbing your stomach in slow circles. "Do you know what will make you feel better doll?" Felix asks with a tilt of his head.

"Cuddles?" You suggest.

"Pfft, not just any cuddles. Cuddles with me."

Felix then grabs you from Chris' lap and wraps his leg around both of yours, trapping you as he smothers your face in loads of kisses. You let out a fit of giggles as you feel him pulling you away from Chris.

"Oi, my cuddles work just as well, if not better than yours." Chris frowns.

"If that was the case, then my precious angel wouldn't have still been crying when I came into the room." Felix retorts, throwing a cocky smirk Chris' way and unwrapping his body from yours so that you can breathe.

Whilst you know that they know you adore them both, sometimes they have impromptu 'who's dick is bigger' arguments when it comes to loving you.

You scold them both for doing it, mainly Felix since he's a little shit and starts them. Though you know he doesn't mean to hurt Chris' feelings, he just gets a bit too excitable sometimes which triggers his competitive side.

"Both of your cuddles make me feel better." You grab Felix's chin in one hand and Chris' in the other. "But when we all cuddle, then that's when I'm happiest." You say smiling and placing a soft peck on Chris' lips then Felix's.

You pull both of them down and wrap your arms around their backs, your hands settling in their hair as you gently caress their heads. Chris snuggles his head into the crook of your arm and Felix wraps his leg around yours.

It quickly became a peaceful couple of minutes before Felix spoke quietly.

"Okay, but my cuddles definitely work better than Chris' right?"
