Since I'm injured a bit, I skipped the gym today, but my husband didn't AND HE TOOK THE KIDS WITH HIM. Today was beautiful outside--chilly but beautiful. So we loaded up the SUV and went to @loweshomeimprovement for a piece of wood and some lamp parts so I could work on something in the garage while the kids played outside. I got neither items I went for, but plants, soil, and seeds instead. I'm easily distracted at Lowe's and Home Depot. Almost as bad as I am at the craft stores. I can't help it! I want to do all the things! Let's see if I can keep these alive. I don't have a very good track record of keeping plants alive that are in pots. I have met some fantastically amazing people since I started crocheting. I met Becki from @chloerebeccaboutique thru a series of unfortunate events, but I'm so glad I did! I had a bunch of projects I needed to complete, some repairs to be made, and some things on my wish list I wanted to start today. Got almost all of my sewing projects completed that were on my 'immediate to-do list.' I really need to be crocheting right now, but I ran out of the only color I need to put the finishing touches on my giant FRIENDS CAL graphgan and I can't pick it up until tomorrow. In case you haven't done a CAL with me yet, I loooove to add appliques to my graphgans. It gives a little more visual and textural contrast. Plus it's a way to add more meaning to the entire project without ending up with a blanket big enough to cover your house. Aaaaand, you get to try out some different techniques than you are using in your graphgan. This #UnionJack applique symbolizes the gang's trip to London for Ross's memorable wedding to Emily and the start of Chandler and Monica. We used a combination of crochet AND cross stitch to create this unique crocheted applique.
