trying to brainstorm canon friends for my pmd teams….

-dante (working name for gti hero) is really good friends with gurdurr, they’re closer in age and dante has also experienced ableist discrimination so the two hype each other up a lot

-chip (rt partner) and absol might be gay idk. cute little fiesty cat and big emo dog

-bidoof being close with rin and nimbus is an obvious one since theyre closer in age and hes their buddy, but i also think rin gets along well with croagunk as well. she thinks hes funny

-kit and nova are each other’s bestest friends forever and ever and i dont think the other schoolkids are as close to them as they are with each other, but theyre all really close knit after psmd, them and espurr especially. they’re all actually the second generation of the expedition society :3

-i kiiinda wanna overhaul the second half of psmd to make the schoolkids relevant throughout but i still think archen is very close to the kids

-dante marries hydreigon btw they’re endgame. imagine your mom goes missing for several months and he comes home with a dragon god and hes like “heres your new stepmom he kidnapped me and turned me into a pig”

Hey, I'm Aspen (he/him 👍) and I'm a junior at Naranja-Uva Academy! (i'm typing this with like proper grammar for readability purposes but i DO NOT fuckin type like this regularly lmfao) Rn I'm in the STEM track with a primary focus in veterinary sciences and a secondary focus in battle studies. And I'm vice-captain of our Cyclizar racing team! If you haven't noticed by now, I like Dragon-types.

Other than my Cyclizar (her name's Spitfire!) I have four Pokemon, my Alolan Raichu (named Chip), my Dreepy (named Zeppelin), and my Alolan Vulpix (Flos).

...And there's point in hiding it anymore, is it? I also have a Silvally, entrusted to me by the Alolan and Paldean governments (read: I caught it when I wasn't supposed to and it got attached.) referred to as 04.

AND in addition to them, I have five other Pokemon, but they're kinda retired and live in Alola with my parents, but they're Pebble (Lycanroc), Jitters (Golisopod), Chloro (Lurantis), Grampy (Drampa) and Hibiscus (Kommo-o). I call Chip and those five the Big Six, 'cause they're the Pokemon I used while on my Island Challenge.

Speaking of my Island Challenge though, I was born in Nimbasa City, but I moved to Alola when I was... I wanna say maybe two or three? I dunno, I don't remember the moving part. Also, I've got an older brother (23) and a baby sister (3).

Pokemon Card of the Day Schedule: Unbroken Bonds

Unbroken Bonds was the second set to feature Tag Team Pokemon. It brought some very notable ones, with Reshiram & Charizard-GX seeing top-level play for quite some time. Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX was good for a while after it first was released, while Lucario & Melmetal-GX was one of the few Tag Teams that was quite successful playing things more slowly. The other Tag Teams had more minor uses.

Some of the other Pokemon here had big impacts as well. Blacephalon and Spiritomb both had impressive decks built around them despite being single Prize Pokemon, for example. Dewgong had a short run at the top of SUM-On with Zoroark-GX. Dedenne-GX was one of the most used supporting Pokemon for its draw power, and Mewtwo could recover Supporters.

Even the Trainers were good. Chip-Chip Ice Axe and Lt. Surge's Strategy are even banned in Expanded now due to their role in disruptive decks there, and were useful in Standard decks of the type as well. Welder was a huge form of Fire-type Energy acceleration, especially when paired with Fire Crystal. Green's Exploration provided Trainer access if not using Abilities, while Power Plant could shut Abilities down for some Pokemon. There were other notable cards as well, as this was a very deep set that changed quite a bit about the game.
