Simple Chooda Designs
Chooda, an integral part of Punjabi and North Indian bridal traditions, has evolved significantly over the years. While the traditional red and white bangles remain iconic, modern brides are redefining how they wear and style their chooda to reflect personal tastes, contemporary trends, and cultural values. Here’s a look at how modern brides are styling simple chooda designs to create memorable bridal looks.
Tumblr media
1. Choosing Simple Chooda Designs for Elegance
Simple chooda designs are gaining popularity for their understated elegance. Modern brides are opting for choodas with minimal embellishments, avoiding the overly ornate styles of the past. These designs often feature:
Sleek patterns with plain red and white bangles.
Subtle gold or silver accents for a hint of luxury.
Minimalistic detailing such as tiny rhinestones or engraved motifs.
This simplicity allows the chooda to complement rather than overpower the bridal attire, making it versatile enough for various wedding functions.
2. Pairing Chooda with Modern Accessories
Modern brides love blending tradition with contemporary accessories to create unique looks. Here’s how they are styling their chooda:
Kaleeras: Brides are opting for personalized kaleeras with minimalistic designs, tassels, or even charms that hold sentimental value.
Hand Jewelry: Adding haathphools or statement rings enhances the chooda’s appeal.
Watch Pairing: Some brides choose to wear a stylish wristwatch alongside their chooda for a chic and functional touch.
3. Playing with Colors
While red and white remain the quintessential chooda colors, modern brides are experimenting with additional hues. Popular choices include:
Pastels like blush pink and peach for a softer look.
Bold colors like maroon or magenta to add depth.
Contrasting shades like mint green or blue to match contemporary bridal outfits.
4. Incorporating Modern Chooda Trends
Modern chooda designs embrace both tradition and innovation. Brides are gravitating towards:
Customizable Choodas: Names, dates, or meaningful symbols engraved on the bangles.
Metallic Finishes: Gold-plated or rose-gold choodas for a glamorous vibe.
Mix and Match: Combining traditional bangles with glass or metal bangles in complementary shades.
5. Styling Chooda with Bridal Outfits
Brides are now coordinating their chooda designs with their wedding ensembles. For instance:
Traditional Bridal Wear: Simple red and white choodas are paired with heavily embroidered lehengas.
Contemporary Gowns: Pastel or metallic choodas are matched with modern bridal gowns for a harmonious look.
Fusion Outfits: Mixing chooda designs with Indo-western outfits, such as dhoti pants or cape blouses, offers a unique style statement.
6. Combining Tradition with Minimalism
Many modern brides embrace the cultural significance of the chooda while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic. By selecting unique chooda designs that align with their personality, they’re able to honor tradition without compromising their individual style.
Final Thoughts
Modern brides are transforming simple chooda designs into a style statement that perfectly balances tradition and contemporary fashion. From experimenting with colors to pairing them with modern accessories, the possibilities are endless. Whether it’s a traditional chooda design or a unique take on this iconic accessory, today’s brides are making it their own, ensuring that their wedding look is as special as their journey into married life.

The night was filled with dancing and joy as the couple exchanged rings and celebrated with their loved ones.
Chooda Ceremony: A Modern Twist on Tradition

Her minimal makeup and open tresses added effortless charm, while statement jewellery, including a maangtika and choker, completed her bridal ensemble. Her golden kaleeras were crafted specially to reflect their love story, adding a personal touch to her attire.
Karan matched Surbhi’s elegance in a sea green wedding sherwani, paired with a jacket and turban. Together, their outfits created a harmonious and stunning look, drawing admiration from everyone present.
Tuxedo Night: Glamour, Glitz, and Romance
Breaking away from traditional wedding customs, Surbhi and Karan opted for a stylish tuxedo night instead of a Sangeet function. Surbhi looked stunning in a sequined one-shoulder dress with a dramatic train, accessorized with elegant gold danglers and black strappy sandals. 10 Elements We Loved From Ranbir & Alia's Intimate Wedding!
Following quite a while of hypothesis and media furor, Bollywood's most recent two or three has at long last secured the bunch in a cozy wedding service.
While the couple and their friends and family were hush when it came to sharing the wedding subtleties, a few inside subtleties advanced toward us and the media. Also, a portion of the components of this couple's wedding have us shocked and fainting.
Tumblr media
For the most extensive length of time, we've looked toward Bollywood ladies that not just hug a wedding look that mirrors their character yet additionally put forth a few significant objectives for different ladies. Leaving knickknacks of motivation left and right, the couple's wedding has shown specific components that are totally famous and inspo commendable.
In this way, to figure out what's going on with all the buzz, look down to look at every one of the components we adored from Ranbir and Alia's wedding!
Components We Loved From The #RaLia Wedding
The Elegant Ivory and Gold Ensemble Wearing the widely adored, Sabyasachi, both Alia and Ranbir looked radiant in their ivory and gold outfits. For the wedding service, Alia Bhatt was wearing a hand-colored ivory organza saree weaved with fine tilla work. Ranbir, then again, wore a weaved silk sherwani with Sabyasachi whole precious stone fastens, a silk organza safa and a wrap with zari marori weaving.
Detailing On Alia's Blouse Perhaps of the prettiest thing we spotted on the lady of the hour's outfit was the butterfly theme weaving in fine tilla work on Alia's shirt. While the saree and the tones are inseparable from Sabyasachi's past work, the consideration of butterflies in her pullover's weaving certainly seemed to be an exceptional, modified component.
The Couple's Heritage Jewelry While the couple picked an exceptionally negligible group for their wedding, their gems were tied in with sparkling in superb legacy work. Alia matched her outfit with Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry including whole precious stones and hand-hung pearls. Her wedding chooda then again comprised of a blend of enormous kadas and red bangles. Ranbir, comparably, finished his look with a kilangi by Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry highlighting whole precious stones, emeralds and pearls and a multistrand pearl neckband.
The Ethereal Kaleeras From Khrisha Shah's silver kaleeras to Katrina Kaif's bird and red tuft kaleeras, everything revolves around making famous searches for these Bollywood ladies. Also, this time, we were fainting over Alia's insignificant, rose gold kaleeras! Planned by the astonishing Mrinalini Chandra, the kaleeras should be visible spotted with components like mists, stars, butterflies and birds.
Matching Her Saree With A Sheer Veil One of the greatest patterns of 2022 is the saree with a cloak. Numerous ladies have embraced this pattern and many will undoubtedly continue to embrace this look. For her wedding pre-marriage ceremony, Alia matched her ivory and gold saree with a handwoven tissue cloak that had a scalloped line
Green filler's and Jasmine Jaimalas Jaimalas are a particularly crucial piece of any wedding service. Also, now that we've seen different sorts jaimalas like marigolds and even foliage varmalas, we're estatic to detect these green filler's and jasmine jaimalas worn by the couple.
Fortunate No. 8/Infinity Mangasutra Integrating Ranbir's fortunate number into her group, Alia picked a lovely and modest mangalsutra that has the number 8, which likewise functions as an 'endlessness' pendant.
Insignificant Makeup and An Open Hairstyle Likely what really shocked us was Alia's decision to go with absolute minimum cosmetics and an open hairdo with light waves. While this look will undoubtedly rouse rushes of future ladies, we're not exactly stunned by Alia's decision of cosmetics and hair for she had forever been an individual who appreciates insignificant cosmetics looks.
The 3-Tier Floral Wedding Cake Never did we at any point expect this big name wedding's celebratory cake to be a particularly negligible and provincial pleasure! This three-layered goodness was iced with scrumptious icing and designed with dried blossoms and leaves.
Ranbir Carrying Alia Bridal Style! Presently to close this blog, we might want to add a second that truly prevailed upon us. At the point when the couple ventured out as man and spouse without precedent for front of the media outside their scene, Ranbir scooped Alia up in his arms and conveyed her back into the wedding setting marriage style with the most cheerful and eccentric grins on both their countenances. Truly women, get yourself a man who conveys your wedding style!
If you are looking for wedding venue in Mumbai, then there is option of Banquet hall in Mira Road.

Red Chooda – The Eternal Symbol of a Bride’s Grace and Tradition
Why Red Chooda is the Heart of Every Indian Bridal Look
Among the many wedding traditions that define Indian culture, especially in Punjabi weddings, the chooda holds unmatched emotional and symbolic value. Worn by the bride on her wedding day and beyond, this set of bangles signifies blessings, prosperity, and the sacred bond of marriage. And while modern brides now explore pastel tones, the red chooda continues to reign as the timeless favorite—a choice that never goes out of style.
The vibrant hue of red chura represents love, energy, power, and a deep-rooted connection to tradition. Whether it’s called red chooda, red chura, red chuda, or red choora, the essence remains unchanged—it is a visual emblem of a bride’s devotion, dignity, and journey into a new life.
The Cultural Importance of Red Chooda
In Punjabi traditions, the red choora is gifted to the bride by her maternal uncle during a special ceremony known as the Chooda Ceremony, usually held on the morning of the wedding. It is worn for a specific duration after the wedding, sometimes up to a year, to reflect her newlywed status. These bangles are not just jewelry; they are woven with family blessings, love, and the warmth of traditions passed through generations.
Today’s brides embrace the red bridal chooda not just for its beauty but for the story it tells. Red enhances the bridal aura, complements any lehenga—whether traditional or modern—and upholds the sanctity of the wedding customs that connect her to her roots. Decoding Deepika Padukoneâs Wedding Looks
We all know that when it comes to fashion, Deepika is always on top of her game. We knew that we won’t be disappointed seeing her wedding looks as well. And even though the couple had an intimate wedding in Lake Como, Italy the two made sure to share the happy news with their fans. Soon after, the internet was flooded with the couple’s pictures. For almost all her wedding festivities, Deepika chose to wear her favourite designer Sabyasachi, he even styled the actress for some celebrations. And there is no doubt that both, Deepika and Ranveer looked nothing but royalty for their wedding. Even though her smile was the one that stood out for us, we have decoded Deepika Padukone’s wedding looks. Scroll down to know more...
Pre-Wedding Pooja
To start the wedding festivities the actress had an intimate pooja at her residence. Deepika opted for a simple orange suit by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. While she opted for subtle makeup, she kept her hair in a bun and accessorized her look with big statement earrings by the same designer.
Mehendi
Nothing can beat pink. Are we right or are we right? Deepika opted for a blush pink kurta by Sabyasachi. The outfit featured a thread work kurta, paired with a dupatta with the same detailing, and Deepika wore a red shawl to add color to her look. To accessories her look the actress went with a satlada haar and big statement earrings. While for her makeup she went with soft glam and nude lips and for her hair she went with a bun. For us what stood out the most was the trendy shade of pink and how well she carried it. This look is perfect if you want to look classy and enjoy your wedding functions.
Konkani Wedding
For her Konkani wedding Deepika went with a traditional South Indian bridal look. The actress looked elegant as ever in a dull gold and red Kanjeevaram saree which was gifted to her by her mother from House of Angadi, Bangalore, which she paired with a Sabyasachi silk dupatta. Accessorizing the outfit, the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actress wore traditional jewellery with a temple jewellery touch, a mathapati, a small red bindi, matching earrings and bangles. As for her makeup, Deepika went with smokey eyes and nude lips. Her hair was in a middle part bun with flowers around it. We can only say that she made a perfect traditional South Indian bride.
Sindhi Wedding
Both Deepika and Ranveer color coordinated in red Sabyasachi outfits. And Deepika totally killed the North Indian wedding look. The actress was dressed head-to-toe in Sabyasachi, quite literally! We saw Deepika donning a heavily embroidered lehenga with a matching dupatta. What caught everyone's attention was her dupatta which had Hindu Mantra ‘Sada Saubhagyawati Bhava’ embroidered over it. As for her jewellery the actress went all out, she opted for heavy kundan jewellery with a maang tikka and nath. She can also be seen wearing a red chooda and kalire latkans. She even wore red thread work juttis by Sabyasachi in collaboration with Christian Louboutin. Even though Sabyasachi’s creations are always jaw dropping, Deepika made his creations look even better.
Bangalore Reception
After the newlyweds got back from Italy, they hosted a reception at Deepika’s hometown. The couple opted for ethnic wear for their reception. Deepika was styled by Sabyasachi and was seen wearing a stunning gold saree gifted to her by her mother from House of Angadi, she paired it with a white full sleeved blouse. To add more glamour to her look Deepika opted for an OTT emerald choker paired with matching earrings, a long pearl necklace, small red bindi and sindoor. For her makeup she went with smokey kohl eyes and red lips and for her hair she opted for a sleek bun. This look surely gave us full newlywed vibes and we are loving it.
Post Wedding Party
This party was hosted by Ranveer’s sister Ritika Singh Bhavnani. And for this event we saw the actress in an experimental but fresh look. Her look for the night was inspired by Frida Kahlo. Deepika was seen donned in an embroidered floral lehenga by designer Sabyasachi. While for her makeup the actress went with dark smokey eyes and nude lips, for her hair she went with a bun with a braid headband and red roses. Deepika accessorized her look with a gorgeous necklace, matching earrings and bangles. This look of the actress was so different from what we’ve seen on other brides and full marks to her for trying something new and fun.
Mumbai Reception 1
Onto the second reception which was held in Mumbai and was attended by close friends, family members and media. Breaking her streak of Sabyasachi outfits, Deepika chose to wear a gorgeous ivory and gold chikankari saree by ace designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The saree was hand embroidered with Swarovski crystals and gold zardozi and features a long trail and a long head dupatta. She accessorized her look with long statement pearl earrings and necklace which blended with the blouse. While her makeup this time was nude than her previous looks, she went with nude lips and a lot of highlighter. She even wore sindoor and red chooda to give the newlywed look, and that definitely added color to her entire look.
Mumbai Reception 2
The duo definitely finished their wedding celebrations on a stylish note. For this night, Deepika stole the show in her dazzling red custom made gown by Zuhair Murad. The gown featured a long train and this look is still one of our favourites. To accessorize her look the actress went with her eye-catching engagement ring and mangalsutra. While for her makeup she went with smokey eyes and nude lips and she kept her hair down in soft waves. As the night was fun and long the Bollywood diva ditched her trail and swapped her red heels with white sneakers.
