(also feel free in the tags to clarify Why you made the choice you made!! :0c)
#polls#tumblr polls#For me I think the top ones would be the House. The Money. or the Friend Group. But I ultimately might would go for the house#JUST becuase it would be my Dream House which means it would already meet mostly all of my specifications#and what I might be looking for. which would save a lot of time searching or customizing/rennovating.#Also because I could use that as a way to leave the US lol.. like .. if I get to choose my dream location.. couldnt I just choose some othe#country?? But I wonder how that works. Can you legally 100% have full ownership of a property in a country yet not be a citizen of that#country?? Would you show up and be like 'erm.. i own this house.. so i shall now live in it' and theyd be like 'uh no. you cant live here#despite owning the house. leave.' ??#So I think the initial process of 1. scraping together funds to actually MOVE myself and my most valuable belongings physically#TO another country. and 2. figuring out how to STAY in that country . might end up being difficult.. BUT. if I could just work that#part of things out then.. dream house?? security for once in my life?? stability?? :0#Though the $1mil is enticing it's also like.. I feel .. with the way housing prices are now... that's not much???#it's a lot I guess if you plan on like.. investing half the money and staying in an apartment for 5 years while you grow your wealth#or something. but if you're a 'I Need Stability NOW' ready to settle down person who would be most interested in owning a property rather#than nice clothes or a car or whatever other investments you could make then.. eh..?? It seems like unless you're okay with living in#a small town or kind of far away from the city - even some SMALL houses in majorly populated areas in the US will be like#$600.000 - $900.000 or something. like that would be MOST of my money. Which I know you could just pay partially and make#payments on it but idk.. in the option of just outright owning the house it seems like it'd end up being cheaper.#Plus I would want to own it fully asap because I'd be afraid of losing it somehow otherwise. like it being taken for medical bills or#something. which I thought was supposed to be - not IMPOSSIBLE - slightly more complicated legally if you actually have#paid off the house in full. I guess the issue then would be utilities and property tax and such. But I feel like thats overcome-able??#Like I could just stipulate that my Dream House has a little furnished addition or something and then find someone#with money and be like 'Look you can live in this extremely nice area with amazing ameneties and updated everything and ALL you have#to do is give me money to cover the utilities and property tax.'' or something like that. Like the little furnished addition is nicer#than the actual house. they have their own pool and spa and movie room or something and Ill also cook all their meals for them#or whatever (how luxurious it would be depeneds on how high the property tax actually is/how much I would need to entice them into#why it's a good deal for them to pay it for me lol). idk... something like that.. ANYWAY#I asked a few people I know though and one of them answered they'd rather have a romantic partner. the other one said they'd like#to be able to choose someone to die lol.. So I'm curious what people value the most

Rating: M (eventual E for smut) Pairings: Eventual Tamlin/Eris Warnings: Patricide, Murder Chapter 1/2 AO3 Link
The forest burned.
Eris watched from the balcony of his private chambers as orange flames licked at the ancient trees surrounding Forest House. Autumn leaves, already crimson and gold, curled and blackened in the heat. The fire roared like a living thing, devouring everything in its path. His fire. His power.
His birthright.
For centuries, he had waited for this day. For centuries, he had endured his father's cruelty, had watched his mother flinch at Beron's approach, had seen his brothers broken one by one under the High Lord's heel. Eris had played the dutiful son, the cold and calculating heir, allowing his father to believe he had shaped Eris in his own image. It was the only way to survive in the Autumn Court. The only way to get close enough to strike.
Tonight, that patience would bear fruit. Tonight, Beron would fall, and Eris would claim what had always been meant to be his. The fire would draw away the bulk of Beron's guards, dividing his father's attention and resources. And it represented what Eris intended for the Autumn Court: the old order burning away so something new could grow from the ashes.
"Is this truly necessary?" asked a voice behind him.
Eris didn't turn. He knew who stood in the shadows of his room. The familiar voice of his exiled brother carried a hint of judgment.
"Every bit of it," Eris replied, watching the flames climb higher. "The court needs to see chaos before I bring order."
"And the casualties?" Lucien asked.
Now Eris did turn. His brother stood tall by the doorway, copper hair gleaming in the firelight that spilled through the windows. The mechanical golden eye whirred softly as it adjusted to the dim light.
"Those loyal to me were warned to evacuate," Eris said coolly. "The rest are Beron's creatures. Their deaths serve our purpose."
Lucien's jaw tightened. "You sound like him when you talk that way."
The words struck deeper than Eris would admit. His greatest fear had always been becoming like his father in truth—cold, merciless, viewing lives as tools to be used and discarded. He had spent too long cultivating that very image, the perfect mask to hide his true intentions. Sometimes, he wondered if he had been cursed like Spring, if the mask had begun to fuse with his face, forever hiding the male that lay underneath.
"I am nothing like our father," Eris said, a flash of genuine anger breaking through his composed exterior. "He burns for pleasure. I burn with purpose."
"Then prove it," Lucien challenged, stepping closer. "Revolution doesn't require slaughter."
Eris studied his brother. It had been centuries since Lucien had been exiled from the Autumn Court, centuries since he had last stood in these halls. There was something different about him now; a stillness, a predatory patience that hadn't been there before. The Spring Court had changed him.
"You've grown harder," Eris observed.
"We all have," Lucien replied. "Are you having second thoughts?"
Eris turned back to the burning forest, allowing himself a moment of honesty. "Not about killing him. But about what comes after..." He exhaled slowly. "Beron has ruled for millennia. The court knows nothing else. Rebuilding will not be easy."
"You've planned for this since before I was exiled," Lucien said. "If anyone can reshape the Autumn Court, it's you."
The words carried an unexpected weight of confidence. Eris hadn't realized how much he needed to hear them.
"Strategy is my concern," he said, his mask slipping back into place. "Your task is to play your part."
"Our bargain was clear," Lucien said, stepping to stand beside him at the balcony railing. "I help you claim your throne, and you end my exile officially."
"And I will honor it," Eris said. "Once I am High Lord."
Below them, shouts erupted as guards rushed to contain the spreading fire. Useless. Eris had spent centuries mastering his fire magic, preparing for this moment. The flames would burn exactly as long and as far as he wished. No more, no less.
An understanding between them settled into place. Whatever doubts either had harbored were irrelevant now. The path was set.
"It's time," Eris said, straightening his embroidered autumn-red jacket. "Beron will be in the throne room, believing himself safe behind his guards. He never did understand that the greatest threats come from within."
Lucien nodded, his copper hair gleaming in the firelight. "Lead the way." Read the rest here

Peak Gabv1el development (for me, at least) is when someone calls V1 an object and it's Gabriel who go off on this someone, like, he will not allow anyone to entertain that notion. This angle will defend V1's autonomy and sentience with his life.
I think it's sweet and it's a great way to show how far their relationship and bond (romantic or platonic) has gone. Gabriel going from calling them a thing to not letting anyone to call them that and even taking offence (probably more than them) to someone thinking of them like that? How can I not love this? He's the king of fast character development. XD

At this point in the game Fuuka is becoming the MVP of my party. What do u mean she can scan the enemies' weaknesses so i dont waste time and SP with trial and error? And she can map the entire floor so i dont have to waste time running around?? And her theurgy replenish my SP, HP, and give me buffs randomly at my discretion (aka it's not randomly triggered)??? Also she can give me an escape route in case that fuckass reaper shows up and i havent found the stairs to the next floor yet???? I havent played p4 so idk if their navigator is as useful as Fuuka but damn p3r is the first time im using a nav for utility and not just charming voicelines. Fuuka my beloved you are the gold standard for navigators everywhere

Solas: I take it you have unlocked the secrets of the Vi'Revas?
Rook: Ya Bellara got that shit worked out like, day 1.
Solas: Excellent. And how are the Shadow Dragons liking their new accommodations?
Rook: I mean... Neve's settled into her room I guess? She's got a lot of wisps bugging her tho.
Solas: And the rest of them...?
Rook: ...What?
Solas: What do you mean "What?"
Rook: ........
Solas: Have you not given access to the Lighthouse and Eluvian network for the Shadow Dragons to utilize in freeing the slaves of Tevinter?
Rook: I uh... were we supposed to...?
Solas: You're not using the pocket-dimension stronghold with infinite rooms that bend to the dwellers needs with access to a teleportation network that I specifically designed as a safe-house and headquarters for escape slaves and freedom fighters to assist the abolitionist group you've allied with?
Rook: Well-
Solas: Are you using it to gather your forces against the Evanuris? Housing refugees affected by the Blight? How many allies have you amassed here??
Rook: It's just the five of us right now.
Solas: Five...
Rook: Yeah, but we're reaching out to a couple mo-
Solas: I GAVE THE INQUISITION AN ENTIRE CASTLE THAT THEY IMMEDIATELY FILLED WITH REFUGEES, USED TO HOUSE THEIR ARMY, AND BECAME A POINT OF PILGRIMAGE FOR THEIR CAUSE, AND YOU ARE USING MY MULTIDIMENSIONAL SLAVE REBELLION HEADQUARTERS TO HOUSE FIVE PEOPLE???
Rook (sweating): I uh... I'll go reach out to Dorian...

musing on it and as much as i think let me bring pardon is an episode not so much about god as it is about belief, the ep's take on religion (or at least organized christianity)-- if it even has one-- is pretty cynical. i mean. the villain of the episode is a youth pastor, and as villains go, he's particularly despicable-- chosen hunting ground an environment filled with especially vulnerable women, who uses people's genuine belief in god to manipulate them into trusting him so he can be alone with his targets, rapes a girl in a coma and then when confronted claims that it wasn't even wrong because ellie, mediated by god, told him she wanted it.
though it's an episode full of sympathetic characters navigating belief, religious faith takes a beating from a story standpoint, too-- laura's (a woman who'd previously "had a falling out with god") turn to fevered, fervent christianity is progressively characterized by the episode as the act of a desperate, unstable woman who will believe anyone telling her what she wants to hear-- that her daughter is "in there", that there's hope ellie will recover, that she'll get her daughter back-- first, olivia in rorshach and then pastor hartwell in let me bring pardon. she’s sincere in it, but it's laura's newly reactivated faith that makes her vulnerable to manipulation and puts her daughter in danger in the first place, and later it's laura's reactivated faith that has her see ellie's fetus is a "miracle" and not evidence of something more concerning. and then the real kicker-- the damning juxtaposition of olivia and pastor hartwell both claiming the same thing happened to them in the pvp over the interrogation table: that ellie "spoke" to them by squeezing their hand in response to a question (note: it's established pastor hartwell learned about olivia's experience through the neurosurgeon and then later laura). damning, because between the two of them, the audience knows which one is telling the truth, and it isn't the person claiming to be a representative of god. score one for the reluctant saint, and a big l for this ep's version of christianity.
