Estuary Summary: The synthesized heart-shaped herb worked, gave Wakanda back it's protector.  But in her haste, Shuri had overridden a crucial part. So long as the herb worked, then she could do her job within the deadline given. And afterwards... home was too much to bear. She needs some time for herself to come to grips with everything that happened. Thanks to her 'Do Not Disturb', she never got the notification that Griot sent about the potential side effects of what is essentially a hybrid plant that she made. | So she had space and time to figure herself out. But that bastard floating out on the ocean waves was not helping.

Bah' te Summary: The tides ebb and flow as they always have. Attuma can think of no one else he would rather do this with. The glorious Wakandan warrior who drew his blood that night. There is not one else worthy. | Okoye desperately wishes it would just sparring and nothing else. That would be easier, to have her duty and service, to just leave the massive man behind in the ring without a second thought. But she keeps having second thoughts. Third and fourth ones too.

Why I Love It: How could anyone resist an epic with parallel storytelling? Complete with a Compendium to reference? If you are a multi-shipper with a heart for both Nashuri and Attoye, you can read them both in tandem. If you ship one over the other, making them companion fics with their own ship tags means that you can indulge in your preferred pairing without bumping up against the one you don’t particularly care for. The amount of work that went into crafting this series, and cataloging its research so that other writers can reference it for their own work in this fandom, is actually pretty breathtaking and praiseworthy. Character and story are handled with care, and each arc is appropriate for the narrative they are contained in. There is a beautifully constructed plot, with dramatic stakes, but also character study we didn’t get with the original media. It’s everything good fanfiction should be, and it was one of the first works I came across when I became hyperfixated.

Go forth and get lost in this dual epic that satisfies even the most ornery shipper’s secretly soft desires.
