Vanadinite and Onyx - Friends to Enemies

Vanadinite and Onyx - both originally Homeworld soldiers and close friends, they were separated when the War broke out. The next time they would see each other would be on opposite sides of the battlefield...  Vana is small and fiery, Onyx, strong and silent.

I don’t usually participate in contests but my friend @chromarrays had a really cool idea for one and I couldn’t help myself from making an entry 😋 I had a lot of fun making these two and thinking of their backstory and relationship  If you guys have the time you should definitely go check it out and enter, but hurry - there’s one week left!

The Gemsonas for @chromarrays's 2000k contest, congratulations!

Apatite is very active and fun, she is more adventurous and curious type. She likes her partner Jade very much because she saved her Gem when she was hit by the Yellow Diamond at the ball. Now she is free on an abandoned moon with her mate. Apatite is defective by her size, and the motive for Yellow to have burst her was why she fused into ball with Jade.

Jade is shy and cute, she's more of a "I'm into mine" type. She is very attached by Apatite to the rescue, and clearly by the first fusion. She likes the pranks of Apatite, she makes Jade feel not so lonely. Jade shows no physical error.

Their love is lonely 💙❤️

⭐🌈2000 FOLLOWERS CONTEST!!!🌈⭐

Hello y’all! I know I have abandoned Tumblr for a while. Not gonna lie, life has been a stressing thing lately and it won’t stop in the future, it’ll just get worst. Last week I almost felt like giving up at art forever, but I just realized that art is an important thing for me and that I have followers and other Tumblr users who love and appreciate my art and support me with everything. 

With this said, here’s the contest I’ve been planning!!!

Important info:

The contest is open from now until July 23rd MOVED TO AUGUST 1ST at 11:59 pm (GMT -3), so you have like a month and a half to publish your entry.

There will be 3 winners, may add more if I reach +2500 followers before the contest ends. The winners will be selected with the help of non-involved people, and is free of favoritism.

Only one entry per person.

Tag your entry as #chromarrays2000contest, no space in-between. Also tag me, it’s better for me to see it if you do both.

Not really a rule, but if you’re not following me already, go ahead and do it, it’s free ;)

So what is this about?:

This contest is about ship dynamics. 

You have to create two or three original characters (you can’t reuse an old design, sorry), one being part of the Apatite Group. The main gems in the group are Apatite, Mimetite, Pyromorphite and Vanadinite, tho if you want to work on another kind of apatite, or any gem that falls in the real Apatite Group, you’re allowed to.

Make a description of their dynamic. It is important to describe how the characters are and how do they interact with each other. That’s quite the whole point of this, right? The dynamic can be whatever you want, as you can see n the example links I put below!

Characters have no alignment restriction. Both can be Homeworld gems, both can be Crystal Gems, there can be one and one and they don’t even need to be aligned.

Apatite character can’t be a fusion, and there can’t be more than one. Just that, no fusion. Not two Apatites fused or two other gems forming an Apatite.

Non-Apatite characters can’t be more than two. These 2 characters can be fused, but there can’t be more than 3 non-fused gems in the whole group.

Non-Apatite characters can be canon or a gemsona. Remember! You can’t reuse a design, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use the same kind of gem...

Apatites (Group i.g.) are allowed to be Off-Colored. There’s no restriction about their physical forms, unless they are “well made” (in pre-Era 3 terms, of course), and there’s also no restriction on their outfits (neither on the Non-Apatite’s). Here’re 4 pairs as an example:

In the first example, we have an Aquamarine and a Mimetite, both “well made” HW gems; 

In the second example, the Apatite presented is overcooked, and both are HW gems; 

The third example is my character, Pyro, who’s an off-color, and Golden Labradorite, who’s also an off-color, and both are CGs; 

And in the last example, we have Wavy, who’s unaligned, and Eye-Bismuth, who’s a CG.

mimetite is extroverted and passionate. she has a lot of friends and loves spending time with them. she has an extreme crush on munchkin but doesn’t know what to do with it. so she asks a close, knowledgeable friend of hers for advice

cat’s eye opal/ “munchkin” is introverted and typically quiet, though she opens up and becomes more talkative when she’s with people she knows and trusts. she isn’t a crystal gem, but she lives near them and likes to visit them simply to talk with mimetite, sakura, and other friends shes made. her and mimetite’s friendship has waned over the years, and although they both want to become close again, they don’t know where to start

“sakura” star sapphire is quiet and caring, and helps others in any way she can. her future vision specializes in relationships (not just romantic) and how certain actions and interactions can affect them. she uses this ability to help her friends with their relationships by giving them small tips on making their relationships more positive.

dynamic: mimetite and munchkin have mutual feelings for each other, but they’re clueless and don’t know the other likes them back. meanwhile, sakura pushes her two friends in the right direction from behind the scenes :)

Matteddleite, Pearl and Sainfeldite

This is my entry for @chromarrays 2000 follower contest!

Relationship Description

These three are the representation of a healthy polyamorous relationship. They are currently unaligned. Matteddleite and Sainfeldite met each other first and fell in love with each other, at the dismay of their respective courts. Keeping their relationship hidden after warnings of being shattered, they found Pearl, wandering aimlessly without her owner and both grew very fond of her. They all lived in secret but now that Homeworld’s society has changed for the better, the three can live happy together.

Gems Descriptions

Matteddleite, Matt for short, is a happy-go-lucky, gentle gem who tries to see the good in others. This can be a flaw, as they can be very oblivious to pretty much everything.

Lavender Pearl lost her previous owner, Tiffany Stone, in a commotion that caused them to split. She is a gem of few words but has slowly but surely opened up since her relationship.

Sainfeldite is a little ball of energy. Her size means nothing as she is the strongest of the three, very similar to that of ants. She is also the oldest and most experienced.

I’ve never entered a contest before so I thought this would be cute for me to do! Thank you @chromarrays​ for having such a cool idea! Congrats on 2000+ followers and cheers to many more!

Purple Diamond and Pyromorphite, my entries to @chromarrays ‘s contest! (A bit late but still on time!!) 

Dynamic: Purple and Pyro have the dynamic of an abusive mother and daughter.

 Purple was an experiment to create a new Diamond, but she exceeded her incubation time by several thousand years causing the gems assigned to the colony to quit their failed project. But when an obsessed Pyromorphite refuses to leave, they simply abandon this rebel to the doomed planet she chose to stay on. Pyromorphite has a tight grip on her Diamond “daughter”, feeling as though she must raise her to be the perfect replacement and revenge plan to the gems who originally left her behind. However, she treats Purple unkindly and often rambles about how awful she is, to “toughen” her up. Purple wishes to meet other gems and finally take on a colony of her own, but Pyromorphite constantly shelters Purple into being manipulated easily.

Mimetite & Ruby

For @chromarrays 2000 followers contest (congrats!), I’m happy to introduce these two Homeworld gems: Mimetite (aka Dandelion/”Dandy”) and Ruby!

Mimetite has a very loud and proud personality, so she isn’t afraid of showing how she feels, especially when it comes to her feelings for Ruby. Their relationship is still relatively new, but they’ve always been close despite their differences.

Ruby is a bit on the quiet side. She can be stubborn and was unwilling to admit her own feelings for Mimetite at first. Eventually, those walls came down allowing for slight grins and blushes to make appearances.

Situation presented in the picture: Mimetite is (loudly) expressing to anyone who hears how much she loves Ruby. Ruby, struggling to keep her professional composure, lets the warm feelings get to her just this once. Maybe.

I had such fun creating these two, and I very well may draw up their fusion sometime. Thanks for the contest!

Chlorapatite and Black Pearl

Here is matte sapphire pearl and pyromorphite. They love each other very much. This is for @chromarrays contest. Matte sapphire pearl makes sure that pyromorphite doesnt make their relationship obvious. Pyromorphite has trouble hiding their love and cant stand not being with her. They often hang out in abandoned colonies or places gems never go anymore. They also like to fuse sometimes to help with work. Sometimes they just fuse for the fun of it.

Hey guys this is my entry for @chromarrays contest . This is all was made by me in a whole night . Pulled a all-nighter working on the designs . (Which May I be using for something else )

Alignment : Homeworld Rebels

Ship Dynamic they have a family type of relationship with each other . They seem to protect and care for each other .

Lava Fountain Agate is more likley the leader , due to her being the more responsible but fun type of leader . She’s very broad and huge , bigger than the others .

Apatite she is the more of the talkative silly one . Due to the fact that she very friendly-oriented. Her relationship with the other is beyond amazing but like to fight with them .

Andalusite she is the small sneaky type of person . She may look innocent but she’s not . She has a child like behavior . Her relationship with the others is very strange . She most likley to cause trouble and mischief but love both of them equally .

Hey, guys here I am to show my new gem couple!

They are Fluorapatite and Sulphur, they are both robot gems, and basically created just to catalog new discovers (Sulphur) and serve as GPS (Fluorapatite) or vice versa too. They were specially designed for the @chromarrays  #chromarrays2000contest 

I wish you guys and Pyro liked it, maybe I’ll put them in my writing episodes!

It was time to decided, huh?

Oof, tell me if I’ve been busy this month, what the heck. I’m so sorry to make y’all wait so damn long, it’s been 18 days, right? We’ve been opening a new shop with my dad (I mean, the cooperation was something almost imposible in general so I’m stressed af) and this is my first calm weekend since then.

Actually, who cares for a ‘lil backstory or a lazy-yet-useless explanation. Y’all came here for the winners and that’s what we are up to. Continue with caution please:

There were 18 entries in total (wow, actually the same quantity of days since it ended, how curious!) and they were all amazing, but I only got to chose 3 people. I have a little present for everyone who participated, since y’all weren’t as many people as I’d have wanted and you deserve at least something!

To be sincere, you didn’t get Apatite like I expected (I mean, some other people didn’t, don’t worry about it) and you literally expressed it was hard for you, but did an awesome job and she looks wonderful, and if there’s something you did fucking amazing was at your description of their personalities and their whole dynamic!! So complete, made me love them even more!

First of all, interesting selection for an Apatite! I at some point considered on disqualifying you because I said the gem had to be on the Apatite Group and you chose one on the Apatite SUPERGroup, but you played well, so you did it till the end! And you did a good work with this! I love how Seinfeldite has such an unique shape, and how Pearl was not intended to be tied to them emotionally like any other pearl I’ve seen!! Just majestic!

Just... awwwwwWWWWWW. Wonderful! Love it! Excellent! You got everything right! I love ‘lil Amber and how defenseless she seems to be, yet so goddamn powerful! I find it interesting how Mometite’s attempts to protect her kind of pay back for caring about such a small creature! It shows the spirit of a real mother, so nice nickname too! You got it, darling, you got my heart with their dynamic, so I guess you won!
