Baxter Bear’s spa day!

He was claimed to be previously washed, which I believe since he didn’t really leave any dirt in the water. I still washed him a few times because his old stuffing (torn up bits of ribbon and fabric) was super condensed, hard, and smelly.

He had a few holes and a lot of long threads as well as bare spots on him. His eye was barely holding on! He was from 1940, so I didn’t wanna change him much. I really just wanted to make him smell better and patch him up. I ended up falling in love with him in the process. He’s full of stuffing and I cleaned a piece of fabric that was originally inside of him, cut it in the shape of a heart, and placed it in his chest. I didn’t get a picture of that, since my art room was really dark at the time.

Here is Baxter Bear, cleaned, stuffed, sewn, and patched. He sits better now and he is lovely to hug. He may not be too fancy, but he is charming in his own fun way!

I spent way too much damn time making this. Photoshop deciding to be an ass didn’t help. But all in all it was an educational experience. Hopefully people will actually bother to read this tower of worthless flavor text. And if not I hope that they at least appreciate that it exists. Kind of like all those books in skyrim you never read. It’s the fact that the devs bothered to make shit no one will read that you appreciate. Cause just like the real world skyrim is filled with crappy books no one reads. Truly an immersive experience.

jellycat and bab are great, but getting a handmade friend really feels different.

if you have permission, be gentle and return it quickly.

if the person looks distressed, hand it back immediately.

unless they say it's okay, do not stim with the comfort object, even if you just saw the owner of said object stim with it.

if you are trusted enough with a person's favorite thing, that means you're doin' really great.

my mom really loves goats, so i made her one for her birthday!!!! it's limbs and bum are weighted with some pellets. i think this little guy turned out pretty spiffy and i hope my mom will like it!

i never wanted a long furby like i do right now. i desperately want to snuggle one and take him with me to get boba. and name him something ridiculous like.. mustard. i must invest.

he's here! my first jellycat. he's the medium bashful koala, and he's bigger (and softer) than i thought he would be!!!

i love him, his name is casper. he is very photogenic, despite not having a mouth!

i tried so hard to not give in to the squishmallow trend but I saw one today and couldn’t put it down. it’s ghost spider of all things, too. I know nothing about her but the little functional hood sold me. Now the texture is giving me life. I need more squishmallows. Potentially several ghost spiders.

my mom got him as a prize for a game she was running for a family reunion, but i bugged her so much for him, she let me have him. he could use a wash, and a lot of love! i'm gonna fix him right up tonight :-)
