Although not the worst of the worst possible updates for me or all of you, it is still with the heaviest of hearts that I write up this post for all of you right now.

For a lot of reasons that I mostly won’t get into here, this year has been very…rough on me, and the state of my mental health has fell very drastically since last I was able to update Cherish.

When I write for Cherish, one of the very most important fuels to my fire and which has helped me to emote properly with the dialogue and overall mood of the story was a certain prevailing sense of hope and faith in certain concepts regarding relationships that I currently cannot for the life of me bring myself to feel, no matter how hard I have tried.

I want this fic to be perfect when it is finally finished, and right now, I just don’t believe I can contribute the feeling and soul in this story that it deserves, so until further notice, Cherish is going to be taking a slightly more long-term hiatus.

This could change easily at any time; I have no way of knowing for certain that tomorrow, I won’t wake up feeling ready and willing to tackle everything again, or that a surprise chapter may not come out here or there relatively unforewarned, but I also don’t want to leave my readers hanging, wondering if the fic has abandoned, when it very certainly hasn’t, but is rather just taking a long slumber.

Nevertheless, I hope you’ll continue to stick around; just because the fic is taking a break, that doesn’t mean that I will never be making or finishing artwork for it, or that I won’t be talking about it, or sharing Cherish Development Notes, or anything else. Cherish was, is, and always be dear to me, and I have no intention of letting go of it just because of this; I’m just a little tired right now emotionally, and I need to take some time to recover, so that I might devote to this project the love and attention it dearly deserves.

Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to what the future can still bring for all of us and for Cherish as a whole.

It might have taken me a good six months, but I’ve finally managed to finish cleaning up and coloring the old sketch I’d made and released on the second anniversary of my beloved on-going fic, Cherish.

Although much time has passed since then and I’ve currently been on a bit of a mental health break, my gratitude and happiness at the successfulness of this story has never faded even a little.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you all once more, and I hope you’ll stick around with me to see Cherish’s bright and beautiful future that I know is ahead of it for many years to come.

aaaahhh im sorry if this seems all awkward, but,,,quite honestly, ive been wanting to look for rarer ships to like (which is hard because of everyone pushing two certain ships in everyone’s faces) since ive mostly just been sticking to dazatsu, as it was my very first ship. and i love it with all of my heart, its a comfort to me! but i also want to show appreciation to the ships that dont get very much attention, yknow? i hope this makes sense shdjsdbd

Are you asking for ship recommendations? That's not awkward at all! We're glad you came asking us.

The general policy of this blog is that everything goes and we don't want to shun any ship at all but naturally, we can't name every single ship in existence. It also depends a lot on what kind of ship dynamics would you like to see.

If you're looking for the rarest of the rare, we advise to look for crossovers. They are so rare they're not even allowed in the rarepair week! Interesting kind of policy, isn't it? This area is without any limits and you can either look for someone working on it or even come up with your own very original crossover ideas!

Another very often ignored area would then be oc ships. Many people in the fandom have a great number of witty, likable and brilliant ocs but only a much smaller number of people is open about their ships with canon characters, mostly due to the possible backlash they're afraid to get for "ruining" other people's ships.

If you're looking more for something closely in-line with canon, there's also plenty of ships that are canon or almost canon but the fandom chose to ignore them or deemed them not interesting enough to get more than maybe five or six fics and around ten pieces of art. Among these, you could count most Guild ships but also for example Kouyou and her mysterious past boyfriend, VerRim or AkuHigu. Those are just a few examples though and this area still needs to be much expanded.

Lastly, if you want to support the often insulted ships, the best would be to reach in the dusty shelf of heterosexual pairs or ships with Mori. A very special category here is also ChuuArt (Randou/Chuuya).

However, please don't forget to have fun. You shouldn't feel obliged to ship something just because it's not getting the attention it deserves. Shipping is all about putting together who you think fits. Shipping is about having fun and enjoying content, it shouldn't be a war, nor a guilt-trip because a certain pairing isn't getting that much attention.

In public, I have two nicknames I’m most comfortable with — Linkle, which is one used by everyone, and Tippi-chan, which is a nickname given to me by a dear friend of mine on another site and has only ever been used by him. I like both of these, but Tippi-chan I consider to be a more familiar way of addressing me that I associate with people to which I’m very close.

I’m a girl, so she/her pronouns, please, when you’re referring to me and not my muse.

Birthday?

That’s a secret to everyone except my closest friends, and I’d rather it stayed that way. ~

How would you describe yourself?

I would say that the way I present online and the way I present in person is very different; online, I enjoy socializing through writing and overall am just a very outgoing and talkative person, while offline, I am extremely introverted and would much prefer to speak and carry on conversation through text than audible words. In both cases I am shy in my own ways.

Don’t ever expect to audio or video chat with me, sorry; that’s completely off the table.

Hobbies/Interests?

I love writing analyses, meta, theories, etc. about my favorite series; I also write fanfics, RP, draw, play video games, watch my favorite shows, and run several different blogs. There are honestly too many things to list here.

Fandom wise, my biggest interests are Bungou Stray Dogs, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, Legend of Zelda, Ace Attorney, and Doctor Who (up until Series 10 of NuWho), and although I love them all nearly equally, it would likely be in that particular order if I had to choose. I am extremely opinionated and firm in my beliefs, but I also have no troubles socializing with people who have differing opinions and respecting them greatly.

I love music in general, and my tastes are all over the place.

Are you a fan of anime? If so, what are your favourite ones?

Um, am I the only one who thinks that’s kind of a silly question, considering I’m a member of the Awkward Squad? Yes, obviously, I am. My absolute favorite anime is Bungou Stray Dogs, without any equal. I also enjoy Persona 5 the Animation, Mushishi, and Noragami, though truthfully I don’t watch very much anime outside of BSD. 

I do like Diabolik Lovers as a series a little, but I wouldn’t list the anime as being one of my favorites though I’ve finished watching it, and I’ve only watched some subbed playthroughs of the games; I’m not that into romance and mostly just appreciate the characters themselves to some extent.

Do you ship? If so, what is/are your favourite ship(s)?

I do ship, although given I’m ace, for me most of my ships tend towards the platonic side even when they’re romanctic; I’m fairly innocent minded as a general rule.

You can learn most of my primary ships through a certain section on my main blog’s directory, but in general my biggest ships from BSD are Platonic! Odazai (Dazai x Odasaku), ChuuArt (Chuuya x Randou/Arthur Rimbaud), AkuHigu (Akutagawa x Higuchi), and Kyouka x Atsushi (which I’m not sure of the official ship name for). Yes, I know, most of my main ships are rare pairs and some a bit controversial, but I love them all dearly.

Favourite Character(s)?

Dazai, Odasaku, Chuuya, and Randou/Arthur Rimbaud are all my equally loved BSD babies. 💙

I also adore Yashiro Tsurugi from Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, Clay Terran from Ace Attorney, and Link from the Legend of Zelda.

If you could bring any character to life to become your best friend (or partner), who would it be?

I couldn’t possibly choose who to bring into this world, because all of the characters I love most have someone they deserve to be happy with, so I couldn’t separate them. 

Maybe Shad from the Legend of Zelda, because we could do Historical work together.

If you could have any superpower (it can be from an anime, movie, video game, or anywhere really), what would it be?

I’m happy with who I am and the abilities I have just to speak to others this way and do the things I do, but if I had an ability other than those, I think it would be one to peaceably stop wars and have everyone just be happy together. It’s corny, I know, but it’s true.

How many posts do you plan on posting a day?

I’m not sure. It depends on the day. I have a lot of drafts to clear out in my main blog, but I imagine it should be a fair number of posts even from here, so long as there’s content and people wanting to interact with me.
