✨Types of skaters✨

(This May not describe each individual perfectly, just a bit of fun and comedy)

1- Rink Rat

•skates at a roller rink (duh)

•owner / employees know them by name

•can do at least a little (if not a lot) of jam/dance moves

•will give up their place in the snack line if their song comes on

•bomb ass insta pics

•makes every new friend try skating at least once and tells them “you just need to practice! It’s not you it’s probably the rentals....” when they inevitably have a baby giraffe moment

•wants Moxis

•has incredibly cute skates that probably sparkle

•doesn’t wear pads or helmet

2- Outdoor / Street Rat

•knows every smooth pour road in the neighbourhood

•skating in the weirdest places (parking lots at night, random residential streets, Main Street of town, boardwalk etc.)

•has their skates in their car 24/7 just incase

•wants moxis

•skates are scuffed but you can tell they used to be beautiful

•learned the hard way that they should invest in soft wheels

•has tried a sketchy jump, spin, stall, trick on some random peice of public property at least once

•can probably 180, and jump, very good at sudden stops to avoid pedestrian collisions

•May wear pads/helmet, not usually both

•bomb ass insta pics

•dresses in skater clothes or modern fashionable clothes most of the time

•has tried to skate tipsy

3- Derby Girl

•HARD CORE

•some of the nicest most friendly people you will ever meet despite the fact that they have blood on 90% of their clothes

•pads and helmet are required

•has super speedy skates, that are duct taped together

•secretly wants moxis

•probably has awesome custom antik or riedells

•really wants you to come see a bout or give derby a go

•has had an incredible fall at some point where they pulled of a miraculous landing that they can never recreate

•has broken bones skating

•AWESOME DERBY NAMES!

•streamlined clothes, for peak aerodynamics

•bomb ass, bad ass insta pics (although usually captioned “check out the size of this bruise!)

4- Park Rat / Bowl Bomber

•usually wears pads and helmet (especially when trying new tricks)

•has grind blocks

•wants moxis

•skates are incredibly scuffed but you can tell they used to be fresh.... maybe a long time ago but still

•only feels a little bad if their stoppers leave black marks on the park

•CARVING LEGENDS

•cannot dance skate to save their lives beyond maybe two simple moves

•gets bored at a rink

•probably broken bones at some point

•has a bails compilation

•has a folder of tricks they want to learn but the local park doesn’t have a... spine, good vert, full pipe, hand rail, stairs etc.

•everytime they’re in a new city, the skatepark is the first place they go

•most likely in a CIB Facebook group

•bomb ass insta pics

•rainy days are the WORST

•”hey can you come to the park with me..... NO, it’s not just so you can film me!” (It totally is)

•has tried to teach a rink rat to go down a transition before and is still mending the friendship.

Sugar Pine 7 is no longer with Rooster Teeth

Hey yall, I’m not sure how much everybody already knows, but now that we’ve gotten an official statement from sp7, I thought I would put together a semi-coherent post about what’s going on.   

     In Beyond the Pine #92, it was officially revealed that SP7 was let go, and are no longer employees of Rooster Teeth. They are, however, still partners with them, and are on good terms.  They were contractually obligated not to say anything about the situation, but the most of it has been or will be addressed.        This season of Alternative Lifestyle is ending, and we will be getting more information in the next video, which should be coming out over the weekend according to Steve. There are two videos left this season, after which there will be a hiatus.  The boys will all still be working together  SP7 will still be producing music, but they are unsure about where they will be taking other content. Beyond the Pine will still be coming out as usual.  The boys had seen it coming and had had conversations with RT about the whole thing before hand, and said themselves that they had thought they would be done months before it finally happened. 

     In the meantime, Cib is working at another production company, Steven has been working on animations, Vicky has another job, and Jamie and Mimi are both working on other things, but all of them are still just as close as they always have been.

I’m pretty sure that’s about all we’ve gotten for now, but either way I know I’ll definitely still be following and blogging about the bois.  That being said, please be respectful to everybody involved and understand that this is a difficult time for them, and I hope you’ll all continue to support them going forward.

I don't even have words for the Sugar Pine 7 cancellation. It hurts like hell, SP7 has meant so much to me. Bit really I want to say thank you to the team. To Vicky, Jamie, Mimi, Autumn, James, Cib, and Steve. Without any them, I wouldn't have gotten so much enjoyment out of SP7. Even though their sense of humor is weird and many people may not get it, and even less people have stuck with the channel through all the ups and downs, Sugar Pine 7 has really changed my life. So thank you for the laughs, for cheering me up on bad days, for giving me countless funny videos and moments that I still watch over and over again. For everything, thank you. You will be missed, but loved. Thank you, Sugar Pine 7.

hey guys if you’re having a bad day then let me offer some solutions, fake sugar pine style

• autumn hates having her nails painted. they’re always bitten down to the nub anyway so she never found it useful to paint them.

• cib, however is not having that. he’s always one of the last to leave the warehouse with autumn (besides steve but that man doesn’t Sleep) and he’s been taking note of how sad she seems when she thinks no one is paying attention.

• cib is always paying attention.

• it’s futile sneaking up on autumn, so he just slides himself in front of her station one night, knocking over her notes and barely missing her laptop.

• autumn’s signature eyebrow is already raised before cib can even wiggle the small black bottle in front of her. she shakes her head. he shakes the bottle.

• ‘it’ll make you feel better,’ he signs clumsily, and she huffs, a signature autumn laugh.

• ‘i’m not upset,’ she signs back, but cib isn’t having that. and autumn is kind of too tired to fight back. she’s always too tired. so she doesn’t argue when cib plops the pen out of her hand and gets to prepping.

• and autumn’s never really been taken care of so tenderly before. cib is very gentle with her hands, and it’s dry against calloused, but it’s warm all the same.

• all of his attention is on her hands, and autumn can’t help but feel the heat of cib’s hands reach the pit of her stomach. she lets herself smile, and it’s not forced. it’s the most natural one she’s felt in a while.

• cib sees it spread out of the corner of his eye, but he lets autumn have the moment to herself.
