Non Canon Dark Au: Jaune has a dream where he meets the Rwby Chibi world and gets to talk to them.

If there was a word to describe the world around Jaune Arc, it would bright. Blindingly bright, even. Everything around him reminded Jaune of his childhood, sitting too close to the TV, and watching his favorite show, Pumpkin Pete's Pumpkin Patch. Every morning, he would watch as the titular cartoon rabbit hopped around, playing with his friends while also teaching the audience.

The lessons taught weren't the usual drek of the baby shows his younger sisters loved, but real lessons about how to be a good person. Don't tell lies. Help those in need. Love yourself. Looking back on it, Jaune realized he failed each and every single one of those lessons. And in his failures, he himself became a failure.

"Hi, Jaune~!" Ruby chirped.

"Hey, Ruby." He replied, voice dour.

"Me and Yang were gonna go take Zwei to the dog park." She gestured across a distance to where the tall, blond girl stood by, waiting with... some kind of grayish-blackish blob... "You wanna come? Weiss might be there~!"

"No thanks, Ruby." Jaune declined. "I'd... rather just sit here and... think."

"Okay..." She marched away, her red cape billowing in the non-existent wind.

Jaune watched the trio for a moment, then turned away. Turning back, they were gone. He'd only looked away for a moment. Or was it longer? The sun didn't seem to move from its position high in the sky. Come to think of it, he doesn't remember the last time it was nighttime here.

He looked down at his hands. It wasn't the first time, since it seemed to be what he'd always come back to doing after talking to someone that came by, or when he was simply admiring the colorful world around him. Some part deep inside of him knew this was just a dream, if only for the fact that his hands looked so small and pudgy. Still, even if this was a dream, at least it wasn't his usual nightmares of that awful day at initiation.

He'd never got the chance to know others very well before initiation. From what he remembered, Ruby was the nice girl he hung out with before orientation, her sister Yang was the tough, but caring older sister, Weiss was the beautiful, albeit stuck-up girl who ordered Pyrrha to pin him to the locker room wall, and Pyrrha was, well, aside from helping Weiss humiliate him, was also the one who helped him unlock his aura. Ren and Nora... he never really got the chance to meet them yet.

In here, though, it seemed they were all caricatures of themselves. Ruby's chipper attitude was amped to the nth degree while Yang ran around either helping Ruby or catching on fire and punching trees. Weiss still looked down on him, even from her even smaller height, and Pyrrha was a lot more affectionate to him. It was almost painful how much she let her intentions be known to him. He'd have to be a super dense guy to not get what she was saying.

"Jaune." A chill ran up his spine. Blake stood next to him. "It's time to wake up, Jaune."

He didn't move. He didn't want to move. Why would he ever want to move? Why would he face her? Why would he face her of all people? No, he couldn't move. He couldn't wake up. Not now.

"Jaune." He felt her hands grab his squishy face, a squeak like a dog's toy escaping his head. "Jaune." He pulled on his face, though he tried to resist it, and tense pain pounded his nose. She closed it as she pulled. "Jaune." He couldn't breathe. He tried to breathe, tried to thrash himself free of her grip, but she was too strong. "Jaune! Wake up, Jaune!" She wrenched his head to face her, and a flash of light filled his vision.

"AGH!" Jaune fell out of bed, panting as he looked around the room. Standing over him was his partner, Penny, and their more recent addition to the team, Ciel. In the latter's hand was a flashlight.

"Breakfast is secured at 0800." The somehow more robotic woman than the actual robot in the room explained. "Time now is 0737. I refuse you to deny us breakfast when it is a required meal." She turned away. "I expect you to be ready prior to 0745."

"Are you okay, Jaune?" Penny asked, reaching down. "Was it another nightmare?"

"Not this time, no." Jaune took her hand, noting how surprisingly warm it was. "Uh, did you do something different?"

"Oh, yes, thank you for noticing!" Penny smiled brightly. "I have decided to help ease your discomfort by applying friction to my palms at a rapid rate to simulate human body warmth." This earned a confused look from Jaune and a curious glance from Ciel, the latter of the two standing by the dorm room door. "Allow me to demonstrate~!"

With a near deafening clap, Penny's hands came crashing together with a metallic clang. Jaune winced and covered his ears for a moment while Ciel barely twitched, which was unsurprising since she took Penny's identity with little response beyond, "Oh, I see." Penny then began alternating her hands at an alarming speed, her fingers, palms, and even forearms becoming a blur. Only a few seconds after did she pull her hands apart to reveal her blazing orange palms.

"Uh, when do they cool down?" Jaune asked, feeling the feet from only a foot away.

"Approximately 30 minutes from now." Ciel answered. "Time now is 0740." She put emphasis on the time with a noticeable scowl.

"R-Right..." Jaune bypassed Penny, keeping careful not to get too close. Entering the bathroom, he went through his morning routine of brushing his teeth, putting on deodorant, putting on his uniform, not think about how he made an ass of himself on national television- Normal, teenage boy stuff. He stepped out with declaration. "Okay! Ready!"

"Time now is 0746." Somehow, Ciel's scowl deepened.

"I am breakfast ready~!" Penny saluted, her orange palm rivaling her orange hair. She hurried to the door, opening it for her team. Ciel followed her outside, casting a nasty glare at her leader. Jaune quickly exited the bathroom, and the dorm room, shutting each door on his way out.

"Alright, team, who's ready for our first d- AAAIIIE~!"

Note to self: never let the robot girl touch door handles while her hands are glowing.

STUDYING ABROAD is not for the weak—and unfortunately, CASSIUS was definitely one of them. constantly tired, homesick, and just barely holding it together, he was ready to jump down a building any second then. though NEW YORK CITY was one of his biggest dream, settling down there was definitely not a great choice that he chose to make. apartment prices as high as the building height, crazy people that tried to take over the world once in a week; cassius swore he was gonna end it right and there if it wasn't for BANGCHAN who was his house mate.

but everything changed one chaotic night at his friend’s birthday party, when he was bitten by a radioactive spider.

he found his wrists shooting out webs out of nowhere, his hands often got stuck onto the stuffs he touched. and suddenly, achieving not high enough grades and getting not enough sleep was the least of his problems.

because the lives of the new york city people— maybe the whole world, is now im the palms of his hands. okay maybe that was a bit exaggerated. cassius just couldn't help but think that it is his responsibility to help people who are in need or to fight the villains that appear a few times a week.

on an insanely beautiful night in HO CHI MINH CITY of VIETNAM, a boy was born. his parents, mostly his dad, were jumping around out of happiness that his family gave birth to another pretty baby. his brother, too, was so excited to see his baby brother that he almost trip down the stairs of their home. the baby smiled at everyone he saw though he had no clue what was going on at that time.

growing up in a family full of love, there was nothing cassius could really ask for anymore. he had both of his parents, his brother and lovely relatives from both sides, cassius only wished he could stay thirteen in vietnam forever without any worries about the future.

well, not every dream could be granted.

he moved to new york city at the age of FIFTEEN, right after graduating middle school. he didn't know what was waiting for him then so he agreed his dad's offer immediately, he wanted to explore the world anyway. he, at that time, didn't think he'd be breaking down in the middle of the night in the living room with his house mate because he was missing his home's embrace and his crush, JAY, was so maddeningly cool.

at times, he did think about leaving but he surrounded himself with wonderful people, met a crazy species of alien, had one well-paid job at the cafe and a talented, tony-stark-kind-of intelligent, good looking crush, oh and superpowers; even if it was the steps down to hell, he couldn't leave it all behind.

NOTE : i met an alien (just think of him of those blobs that can walk and function on its own) named ciel. he's like venom but he's not actually a symbiote. we merged after a while getting to know each other. he gave me another superpower which is to melt things with the warmth of my hands, creating acid out of them and also controlling the flow of it. i'm really bad at explaining things. basically just like marie monroe in gen v but instead of blood, it's acid. he also helped me with healing, and he was my personal therapist to be honest LOL. ciel went throught experiments and became human after a few years though.

this is my main dr of all time. half it's because i LOVE spiderman but half it's because of PARK JONGSEONG (enhypen) gosh i love him so much. this was also where i first shifted to, though it was only a few seconds... but either way i will always talk about this dr even if i was unconscious.

look i try to stay out of ship discourse as much as I can, but I can't even believe people would look at the musicals (specifically tango and circus, which have ciel as a tiny 11-13 year old child actor, a tiny tiny tiny little thing who my scrawny ass could probably pick up with one arm) and use them as awful ship fodder

like. straight up. that's a crime. i don't know where it says on paper, but on the basic premise of what divides us as human beings with kindness and self-awareness, and fucking bundles of harm, sexualizing someone that small is a crime. it's different when it comes to drawings and writing (this post isn't about that, its about the musical actors) (this is about the actor, not the character) (there are posts about that, that isn't one, nor do I feel comfortable going on such an angry rant about that), but imposing sexuality onto someone who barely learned fractions is completely ridiculous. you don't sound 'kinky' and 'dark' and 'invested in the true nature of BB' you sound like you need to be on a watchlist.

i don't care if it's black butler. it doesn't matter what fandom that's from, that's not okay. that's never okay. that's never going to be okay. that's a real child. If I found out a friend was viewing the musicals like that, I'm out. it's just revolting, I wouldn't trust anyone who thinks that around real actual kids. does it matter that he's on a screen? no! because he's a kid! that's reality! the. reality. is. that's. a. real. kid. a real kid. a kid that is real. a real kid that walked onto a real stage and sang a real song to a real audience about a fictional universe. thats a kid that had to do schoolwork on set and fell asleep in the greenroom and missed his parents and rehearsed an awkward little speech at the end of the performance. that is not 'ciel' the amorphous blob of eyes and bows, that was a real fucking child.

if anyones asks, if there was a season 2 musical, I would be JUST AS insistent that people leave whatever poor soul they force to play alois ALONE. thats why its important to cast adults, even as child characters, to protect them from people like that!! at least the later musicals did that. but it's ridiculous that that's even a protective measure, when these are at the end of the day children's stories

I can't make anyone stop anything, but I can say that's really weird and not cool at all. stop desensitizing yourselves to the point where that's a reasonable conclusion

i wanted to ask what types of game you like, both in style (point n clicker, rpg, etc...) and genre (horror, romance, etc....). also, do you like getting game recomendations?

honestly i don:t really "enjoy" games much any-more because everything sort-of bores me unless i:m randomly just super-passionate about something specific (a week back it was blob-type dungeon crawlers -- downloaded starcrawlers and beat it and had fun with it, first time i finished/enjoyed a game in awhile; then before that it was roguelikes, then before that it was shmups).

generally i like fighting games, visual novels, shmups, dungeon crawlers, roguelikes, and farming sims -- but (like mentioned) it:s mostly just if i feel passionate about something, otherwise playing games (or doing anything, really) is about as entertaining as vacuuming the house.

when i was younger i really loved dwarf fortress, elona; i played a lot of league, too; when i was even younger (a kid!) i spent most of my time roleplaying by myself in the warcraft 2 & starcraft map editors, & diablo (wc3 & diablo2 coming out were amazing moments for me -- vivid memory of going to office max w/ my mom to get diablo 2 when it released and playing it on the office computer).

think i used to roleplay as ciel on forums, from melty blood (only knew her from mugen though); ciel and richter from castlevania (richter was my brother that i made a sockpuppet account for so that people online wouldn:t think i was as lonely as i were).

then when i was in college i really wanted to be an eroge developer (cause i read the hiring-advertisement alicesoft put out and it inspired me a lot) & thought stuff like sengoku rance, violated heroine & ryonarpg were amazingly well designed; i wrote this massive setting for an eroge i wanted to make, and i still borrow a lot of the setting-pieces (+ research i had done for it) for this internal world i use for most stories (the gracecon setting).

i think pathologic is my favorite game overall, but now i mostly just read now (you:d think visual novels would fit-in well here but somehow reading visual novels is more 'slow' than just reading books).

genre isn:t something i really think much about, except for movies because i don:t like watching non-horror movies -- so the only real part this may-be plays for me is in my reading (visual novels or normal novels), but that:s mostly just "passion" stuff, too, ie: over summer i wanted to read hot-weather southerny writing (lotta flannery o'conner), but now i want to read autumnal stuff.

recommendations: i don:t really like getting them because i feel guilty if i look @ a recommendation & immediately write it off as boring (because i usually do, i:m a big contrarian when someone tries to get me to play/listen/look at something, "hey i think you:d like this" -> {automatic reflexive response} "this has to be awful"); but if you want to toss me burner recommendations with zero expectation of a response or follow-through: go for it >:-))
