jfc. a while ago i had a stomach infection and i went to my doctor and i didn’t know what was wrong, but i just asked her to please prescribe me some amoxicillin. she said that she couldn’t (bc why??) so instead she prescribed some other antibiotic medication that had a list of possible side effects as long as my forearm. most of the side effects were actually pretty severe and serious, but she was dead set against prescribing amoxicillin so i went with it. the one thing she said was, “listen odin, the side effect you’re most likely to have is strange weird dreams, and those can last anywhere from 4 to 6 months after you take the last pill in your regiment”
i was like lol wtf, but whatchagonnado when you need some immediate relief, right??
long story short, i took the pills she prescribed and they began to work almost immediately
but fam, the weird ass dreams !!!
i cannot even begin to tell you how weird they were
i usually dream about normal regular boring shit. you know, girls im currently crushing on (or ex girlfriends), being a superhero or being able to fly, the wellbeing or the death of loved ones, family squabbles, subconsciously working through problems at work … ya know, the usual boring mundane shit we all dream about
but man did these pills (clarithromycin?) really deliver on the “weird dreams” warning
i was dreaming crazy ass psychedelic shit like my feet being made out of cheese and/or bread(?!) or my ears emitting colorful huge balloons and people trying to put “sounds” in the balloons??
and the other day when i went to stay with my mom thru hurricane idalia, my mom woke me up in the middle of the night and i was literally screaming in my sleep!
i **know** that wasn’t a regular schmegular “nightmare” bc i don’t have nightmares (or at least, i haven’t had a real nightmare since my father died in my arms), and there was no feeling of fear or shock or anger that normally accompany nightmares
that weird shit ain’t my dreams
i’m certain it was the meds
like jfc, i’m only two months away from my last ingestion of those pills and i do not feel like another 2 - 4 months of this shit
i feel like i did drugs or shrooms or something
and this is coming from someone who has never done any drugs ever

Clarithromycin Prices, News, Trend, Graph, Chart, Monitor and Forecast
Clarithromycin is a widely used macrolide antibiotic, essential in the treatment of various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, skin infections, and Helicobacter pylori-related ulcers. The global clarithromycin market has experienced significant price fluctuations due to supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes, and demand shifts. Prices vary across different regions, influenced by raw material costs, manufacturing expenses, and market dynamics.
In North America, clarithromycin prices have seen an upward trend due to increased demand during the winter months when respiratory infections are more prevalent. The cost of raw materials and stringent regulatory requirements in the region have further contributed to price hikes. Pharmaceutical manufacturers in the United States and Canada face challenges in maintaining stable production levels, which has led to occasional shortages and higher costs for consumers and healthcare providers.
Europe has witnessed similar trends, with rising prices driven by increasing demand and regulatory changes affecting antibiotic production. The European Union has implemented stricter guidelines regarding antibiotic use, impacting market supply and influencing pricing strategies. Additionally, inflation and rising energy costs have played a role in pushing prices higher, affecting both wholesalers and end-users.

In contrast, the Asia-Pacific region has seen more volatile pricing, with significant variations between different countries. China and India, the leading producers of clarithromycin, have periodically reduced prices to maintain market competitiveness and clear excess inventories. These price adjustments have benefited importers from Europe and North America, allowing them to secure bulk purchases at favorable rates. However, regulatory interventions in China regarding environmental concerns and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards have occasionally led to supply constraints, impacting global prices. India’s pharmaceutical industry, known for its cost-effective production, has faced pricing pressures due to government-imposed price controls aimed at ensuring affordable access to essential medicines.
The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) in India has periodically revised price ceilings for antibiotics, including clarithromycin, affecting market profitability for manufacturers and distributors. The impact of these regulatory changes extends beyond domestic markets, influencing international pricing trends as well. Latin America and the Middle East have also experienced price fluctuations, driven by factors such as import dependency, currency fluctuations, and healthcare policies. Countries in these regions often rely on imported clarithromycin, making them vulnerable to global supply chain disruptions and price volatility. The fluctuating exchange rates and economic instability in certain Latin American countries have further contributed to inconsistent pricing patterns. Looking ahead, the global clarithromycin market is expected to witness steady growth, driven by increasing demand for antibiotics and ongoing research and development efforts aimed at improving drug formulations.
The fastest-growing markets are expected to be in Asia, where rising healthcare access and expanding pharmaceutical production capabilities will drive demand. The clarithromycin market remains highly competitive, with key players such as AbbVie Inc., Abbott Laboratories, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., and other pharmaceutical giants actively investing in research and development to enhance drug efficacy and formulation. Companies are also engaging in strategic partnerships and acquisitions to strengthen their market position and expand their reach. The rising trend of personalized medicine and the growing preference for combination therapies are expected to further shape the market landscape. Factors such as government regulations, patent expirations, and emerging generic competition will continue to influence pricing strategies and market growth. As new antibiotic-resistant strains emerge, pharmaceutical companies are under increasing pressure to innovate and develop next-generation antibiotics, which may also impact clarithromycin pricing and availability.

I made this post because I kept being woken up all night by a horrible taste in my mouth (other people describe it like metallic vomit and that's very accurate). I took the last of the antibiotics yesterday, in the morning, and luckily the taste is already completely gone now! I'm SO relieved lol, it was awful.
have I mentioned how much I hate taking antibiotics?
#still did not like any of the side effects... and I'm still not sure if it fully worked. might have to go to the doctor again next week#but the taste is gone and the stomach issues seem to be gone and that's good enough for now lol#the antibiotic was clarithromycin btw#if I have to take more of it I might actually cry lol#personal

RFK Jr. Tells CDC To Go All In On Bogus Vitamin ‘Cures’ For Measles
The health secretary has been promoting vitamin A and other unproven treatments for a disease that is highly preventable with a vaccine.
. . .
“Secretary Kennedy will be enlisting the entire agency to activate a scientific process to treat a host of diseases, including measles, with single or multiple existing drugs in combination with vitamins and other modalities,” HHS spokesperson Andrew Nixon said in a statement.
. . .
Research on vitamin A’s impact on measles in people without deficiencies remains inconclusive, but with Kennedy’s prompting, some parents in West Texas ― the center of the 900-person measles outbreak ― have given it to their children in high doses. Doctors in the area say many of those children have been showing signs of liver damage, a side effect of excessive vitamin A intake.
And on Monday, Kennedy said HHS was deploying doctors to Texas to treat measles with “aerosolized steroids with budesonide with clarithromycin and others.” Neither budesonide nor clarithromycin is proven to treat measles, and suggesting their use is dangerous, the American Academy of Pediatrics said in a blunt statement last month.

Clarithromycin Prices, News, Trend, Graph, Chart, Monitor and Forecast
Clarithromycin is a widely used macrolide antibiotic known for its effectiveness in treating various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, skin infections, and Helicobacter pylori-related conditions. The clarithromycin market is influenced by multiple factors, including raw material costs, manufacturing expenses, demand and supply dynamics, and regulatory policies. Prices fluctuate due to shifts in global production, availability of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), and trade regulations that affect imports and exports. Additionally, competition among pharmaceutical manufacturers plays a crucial role in determining market prices, as different brands and generic versions impact overall affordability and accessibility for consumers.
The pricing of clarithromycin varies significantly across regions, primarily driven by local production capacities, regulatory interventions, and market demand. In North America and Europe, clarithromycin prices have seen an upward trend due to increasing demand in both hospital and retail sectors, along with rising costs of production and compliance with stringent regulatory norms. Supply chain disruptions and higher raw material prices have further contributed to price volatility in these regions. Meanwhile, in Asia-Pacific, particularly in countries like India and China, clarithromycin prices tend to be more competitive due to the presence of numerous generic drug manufacturers and relatively lower production costs. India, being a leading pharmaceutical hub, produces large volumes of clarithromycin, helping to maintain price stability despite occasional fluctuations in raw material costs.
Get Real time Prices for Clarithromycin: https://www.chemanalyst.com/Pricing-data/clarithromycin-1387
One of the key factors influencing the price of clarithromycin is the availability and cost of erythromycin, which serves as a precursor in its synthesis. Any disruption in the supply chain of erythromycin, whether due to geopolitical issues, raw material shortages, or regulatory constraints, directly impacts clarithromycin production and pricing. In recent years, price hikes in erythromycin have led to increased clarithromycin prices, particularly in regions heavily reliant on imports. Additionally, the ongoing fluctuation in crude oil prices indirectly affects pharmaceutical production costs, as petroleum-based chemicals are used in the synthesis of many APIs, including clarithromycin.
Government policies and regulatory measures significantly impact clarithromycin pricing. In many countries, national drug regulatory authorities set ceiling prices to ensure affordability, especially for essential antibiotics. For instance, in India, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) periodically reviews and adjusts the prices of essential drugs, including clarithromycin, to balance affordability with fair pricing for manufacturers. Recent updates have seen minor price revisions in response to changes in production costs and market conditions. In contrast, in the United States and certain European nations, drug prices are largely determined by market forces, although government interventions and insurance policies influence final consumer prices. Patent protections and exclusivity periods for branded versions also affect pricing before generic alternatives enter the market and drive competition.
The demand for clarithromycin is another major factor shaping its market prices. Seasonal variations, such as increased respiratory infections during winter, often lead to higher demand and, consequently, temporary price spikes. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on antibiotic consumption patterns, initially causing supply disruptions that led to price increases. However, as the situation stabilized, production resumed normalcy, and prices adjusted accordingly. In emerging markets, the rising prevalence of bacterial infections, coupled with increasing healthcare awareness and improved access to antibiotics, has driven steady demand growth. Moreover, the preference for clarithromycin as an alternative for patients allergic to penicillin further contributes to its consistent market demand.
Competition among pharmaceutical companies plays a crucial role in stabilizing or driving down clarithromycin prices. The presence of multiple manufacturers producing both branded and generic versions leads to competitive pricing strategies. Generic drug approvals, particularly in countries with well-established generic pharmaceutical industries like India and China, often result in lower prices due to mass production and economies of scale. Multinational pharmaceutical companies that produce branded clarithromycin formulations, on the other hand, tend to price their products higher due to factors such as branding, marketing expenses, and perceived quality advantages. However, as more generic alternatives receive regulatory approvals, market competition intensifies, leading to cost reductions that benefit consumers.
Global trade policies and geopolitical factors also influence clarithromycin pricing trends. Tariffs, import restrictions, and international trade agreements impact the cost of raw materials and finished pharmaceutical products. Countries that rely heavily on imports for clarithromycin and its intermediates may experience price fluctuations based on changing trade dynamics. For instance, supply chain disruptions caused by geopolitical tensions or logistical challenges, such as shipping delays, can result in temporary price hikes. Conversely, favorable trade agreements that facilitate smoother pharmaceutical imports and exports help stabilize prices in global markets.
The future outlook for clarithromycin prices suggests a mix of stability and potential fluctuations based on evolving market conditions. Advancements in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, increased investments in domestic API production, and improved supply chain management are expected to contribute to stable pricing in major markets. However, uncertainties such as regulatory changes, fluctuations in raw material costs, and shifts in global demand could influence price trends in the coming years. With growing antibiotic resistance concerns, there is also ongoing research into optimizing clarithromycin formulations, which could lead to new product variations with adjusted pricing structures.
In conclusion, the clarithromycin market is shaped by a combination of supply chain dynamics, regulatory policies, production costs, demand trends, and competition among manufacturers. While price fluctuations are inevitable due to external factors like raw material costs and geopolitical influences, efforts by governments and industry stakeholders aim to ensure affordability and accessibility. The increasing demand for effective antibiotics and the expansion of pharmaceutical production capabilities in emerging markets will continue to drive the evolution of clarithromycin pricing trends in the foreseeable future.

by Suzanne Burdick, Ph.D.
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Tuesday cheered the use of what The New York Times called “unconventional treatments” for measles, noting that Texas doctors had seen “very, very good” results using the remedies during the recent measles outbreak in Gaines County.
Treatments included cod liver oil — a food-based source of vitamin A and vitamin D — budesonide, a steroid used to relieve inflammation affecting the airways, and clarithromycin, an antibiotic.
In an exclusive interview with The Defender, Dr. Ben Edwards shared the backstory on the positive results that he and other Texas doctors have recently seen using those treatments in responding to the West Texas measles outbreak.
The “standard of care” treatment for measles is supportive care including fever reducers, cough suppressants and fluids, Edwards said. Texas Medical Board Rule 200 allows for Texas physicians to also offer “complementary and alternative” treatment options, in which he is well versed.
According to Edwards, the Feb. 26 death of a Texas child who tested positive for measles might have been prevented if hospital staff had given her breathing treatments, such as budesonide.

Good morning! As the country reels from economic sabotage, international chaos, and billionaires playing messiah on social media, one thing is becoming painfully clear: California may be the last adult in the room, and Gavin Newsom just poured himself a triple espresso and started drafting his own foreign policy.
In a move that’s part constitutional dare, part soft-secession, Newsom declared that California won’t be following Trump’s "Liberation Day" tariffs, which have detonated markets, delayed critical imports, and introduced the largest tax hike on working families in over 50 years. “California is not Washington, D.C.,” he posted defiantly, as if someone had just challenged him to a duel with spreadsheets and carbon credits. He’s now openly courting China, Canada, and Mexico to forge trade partnerships directly with the state, treaty-adjacent, sure, but not quite treaties. It’s all technically illegal-ish, but deeply Californian.
With 40 million residents and a $3.9 trillion economy, California is the fifth-largest economy in the world, richer than India, the UK, or France. So when Newsom says, “We’re not standing idly by,” it’s not just political theater. It’s a constitutional stress test. Trump’s Commerce Secretary, Howard Lutnick, is unlikely to approve exemptions, but Newsom’s making clear: If D.C. won’t lead, Sacramento might.
And speaking of people who think they’re leading, Elon Musk is back in full martyr mode. In a 24-hour spiral of posts, Musk accused Senator Chuck Schumer of benefitting from “government fraud” and declared, during a Fox News segment, that unnamed forces want to “kill [him]” for stopping waste and corruption. It’s hard to keep track of whether Musk is fighting the deep state or just rage-quitting Path of Exile again after losing to a tutor. Either way, he’s tweeting like a man who thinks he’s Neo from The Matrix but is coming off more like Tommy Wiseau with WiFi.
Meanwhile, the real corruption Musk refuses to see is happening right next door. At a Democratic-led shadow hearing (yes, that’s a real thing now), former DOJ pardon attorney Liz Oyer testified that she was fired for refusing to help Mel Gibson get his gun rights back. What followed was a whirlwind of intimidation, including a letter delivered by armed U.S. Marshals while her teenage child was home alone. It was a scene straight out of a dystopian drama, only this one stars Todd Blanche, Trump’s former lawyer turned Deputy AG, playing enforcer for the regime. Oyer’s defiance was clear: “I will not be bullied into concealing the ongoing corruption and abuse of power at the Department of Justice.”
And just when you thought this trade war couldn’t get any more surreal, the Chinese Embassy itself joined the roast, quoting none other than Ronald Reagan to mock Trump’s tariffs.
“The most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’”
Yes, that’s a Reagan quote being weaponized by a foreign power to highlight the absurdity of Trump’s “America First” economic sabotage. When even Beijing is dragging you with conservative icons, maybe it’s time to admit your strategy is less “4D chess” and more “throw the board off the table and blame immigrants.”
Down in Texas, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. shocked his anti-vax loyalists by endorsing the MMR vaccine during a deadly measles outbreak, prompting howls of betrayal from the same crew that helped launch him into office. Dr. Magnetism herself, Sherri Tenpenny, said there was “no excuse” for such a “poorly worded statement.” Del Bigtree is in denial, insisting Kennedy’s post “got cut off,” while others are crying foul over what they see as a full establishment heel-turn. It’s a twist so sharp it could rupture a spleen. But don’t worry, Kennedy tried to make it up to them by promoting budesonide and clarithromycin, neither of which treat measles and both of which might do more harm than good. If this is pandemic Redux, we’re watching the remix with worse DJs.
And for those still wondering how all this affects regular people: Ask Bradley Bartell, a Trump voter who just spent six weeks fighting to free his wife Camila Muñoz from ICE detention after their honeymoon. Camila overstayed a visa during the pandemic lockdown and has no criminal record. That didn’t stop ICE from detaining her for 49 days without charges, without a court date, and shipping her to Louisiana, far from her home in Wisconsin. Bartell drove 15 hours to see her, paid a $3,000 bond, and now questions everything. “Why not use an ankle monitor?” he asked. It’s a good question, especially in a country where mass fraud is forgiven on Wall Street, but marriage to a citizen gets you imprisoned.
Markets are collapsing. Trade partners are retaliating. Measles is killing children again. And Elon Musk is broadcasting live from inside his own persecution complex while operating a federal surveillance agency with no oversight. Meanwhile, California is flirting with the idea of being its own country, and at this rate, who could blame them?
This is not politics as usual. It’s a stress test on every American institution, and the cracks are showing in real time. From public health to immigration to the rule of law, the system isn’t just wobbling, it’s being hollowed out, co-opted, and streamed for clicks.
Stay focused. Stay loud. Stay sane.
