#class 1a deserves to be treated better

That ask you submitted about NO ONE being happy/giving encouragment to Izuku during the interview exercise made me way angrier than I thought.

Like you said, it would have been one thing if a few of 1A didn't (Sero and Kota since they're canonically not as close with Izuku, maybe Jirou since she just don't give af), but for EVERYONE including Tokoyami and the Deku Squad? Absolutely not.

Like Jesus fucking Christ, Hori can't just throw Izuku a win every once in a while? All Might's the only one who consistently praises him and gives him encouragment, and the narrative likes portraying as this being wrong because it "encourages Izuku's self-sacrificing tendancies."

It's bad enough that Izuku has no other talents or hobbies to speak of, he can't even have his friends in his corner?

All this does to me is paint Hori as indecisive about what he wants to do with these characters that aren’t named Midoriya or Bakugou. And it’s absolutely infuriating because Hori wants us to think 1-A is a complete unit and family together yet scenes like this tarnish that idea.

Moments when Midoriya rallies the bulk of 1-A during the provisional license exam and they all back him up with NO hesitation, and Iida and Todoroki wanting to let him know if he needs someone to talk to when they see him stressed about something during the Overhaul arc. I LOVED those scenes because they demonstrated how high of an opinion most of 1-A had of him. At the bare minimum, even those who didn’t canonically interact with him a lot or at all, like Sero or Koda, they trusted and respected him. That’s why, while I understand the feeling and can get where people are coming from, I can’t get behind the notion that Midoriya doesn’t have friends. They are simply acting out of character for dumb reasons, such as, like I said in my post, a very cheap laugh.

Honestly, it’s like the entire dynamic between Midoriya and the majority of 1-A shifted by the time you know who started to get more and more unnecessary screen time.

As anti BKDK & anti Bakugou, can I ask why you hate him and Aizawa so much (at least I get it why you dislike Endevour)? Yes, Bakugou was bad at first, but he grew as character. Now, he is one of the best anime/manga character ever. When he 'died', many anti Bakugou overjoyed, but he came back alive !!

Thanks for your blog, I don't like to say rude things just because of fandom and fictional characters, but can I ask why you dislike Bakugou so much when he changed so much? Like, his devotion to Midoriya is real and he truly is a hero.

I have made a lot of posts about why I hate Bakugou.

It's not because he's a bad person. A bad person can be a great character. Shigaraki is one of my favorite characters in the series. I have a lot of issues with Bakugou as a character, not a person.

A big issue is probably how everyone treats him, especially in comparison to other characters. Bakugou can be as callous and spiteful as he wants and so many characters trip over themselves to praise him. Aizawa (I'll get to him in a second), All Might, and the other teachers don't see fit to correct his behavior, even when he's been violent towards his other classmates (mainly Izuku). Worse, Aizawa outright favors him.

Bakugou punched Izuku during the Final Exam and refused to cooperate. What did Aizawa do? Nothing. He passed him even though he failed Sero, who sacrificed himself to save Mineta. He doesn't even scold Bakugou for this even though he scolded Uraraka and Aoyama during the Training Camps.

Monoma isn't even half as bad as Bakugou. At worst, he gives 1A a hard time occasionally. But 1A absolutely can't stand him. Bakugou's friends- Kirishima and Sero- are Monoma's biggest critics.

Then there's how the narrative bends over backwards to make Bakugou seem like a better person. And why I hate Aizawa is that most of the time it's through him. Bakugou is accused of going too hard on Uraraka? Aizawa scolds the crowd to blatantly tell us- the viewers- that they don't know what they're talking about and that Bakugou respects Uraraka as an opponent.

Which isn't even true. He a) blatantly told Uraraka that she should have given up and b) assumed her plan was Izuku's doing. Aizawa was dead wrong, even though he's supposed to be a way to tell us what's going on. And this isn't even the only time he does this, he also defended Bakugou's behavior to the journalists and said that he would work on improving it.

Except he didn't. But this was a way to, once again, shut down criticism of Bakugou. Everyone who criticizes Bakugou even a little is antagonized to make him look better than he is: the pros at the Sports Festival, the journalists, Monoma, etc.

Izuku is also forced to be a tool to make Bakugou's development look better. He was forced to validate Bakugou's insecurities during Deku vs Kacchan Part 1. We're told, by All Might, that Izuku doesn't hold Bakugou's behavior against him. Even Bakugou's apology was less about Izuku- his victim- and more about making Bakugou look better. Izuku, as one of my favorite characters, deserves better than that.

Also, to me, Bakugou's "change" isn't all that significant. He still does most of the things he did before, it was just changed to be more comedic. Bakugou didn't actually change, he got a character shift to make it easier to redeem him. How can I say he's changed when none of the other characters hold him accountable?

I hate Aizawa because he's a bad teacher and a hypocrite. He's constantly scolding and berating Izuku, but says almost nothing to Bakugou. Accuses All Might of favoritism when he had a whole protege on the side he was trying to get into the hero course. Constantly berates his class for their faults while doing nothing to make them better.

Again, during the Final Exam, he had five other students who failed. Students he could have easily worked with prior to that exam. But he was fine bending over backwards to make sure Bakugou passed. He's a bad teacher that the series tries to make out to be better than he is.

Also, I do NOT hate mlm shipping. Zolu is one of my favorite ships ever. I hate yaoi shippers who feel the need to bash female characters for getting in the way of their ship (or being shipped with a male character in Katara's case). It's blatant misogyny, just because it's gay doesn't mean it's not prejudiced. Uraraka gets treated terribly by BakuDeku shippers, or she's shipped with Tsu or Toga, tucked away in a background sapphic ship where she can't interfere. That's just as bad as bashing her because it's using a sapphic ship as a tool to prop a gay ship.

I don't hate mlm shipping. I hate how some of my favorite characters are treated because of it. There's also an issue with it fetishizing gay men for straight women, but that's another issue entirely.

My hatred for BakuDeku is actually separate from this. It's a ship built off of abuse. The abuse even persists in their platonic relationship, it would absolutely maintain in a romantic relationship. BakuDeku benefits Bakugou and only Bakugou, not Izuku.

I think Bakugou is so well liked because his gimmick of tough and edgy entices a lot of people. He had a lot of fans before he started to get redeemed. And now with his "great" character development, it justifies a lot of people's love for him.

DECEMBER-FEBRUARY

you sat down in the 1b common room with juzo. your feet were tucked under you as you took a sip from your mug. “im sorry for finally being able to get to this conversation juz” you smile sadly and he waves you off. “its fine i love seeing you happy again” he smiles at you and you give him one back.

“so the day of the break up” you start and let out a huff setting your mug down on the table. juzo leans his head on his hand and stares at you intently. “i was a bitch” you said letting out a small chuckle. “i’ve apologized many times now and im sorry i humiliated you in front of both A and B classes” you said with your head hung low.

“i did love you juz, i still do feel that love for you” you said smiling sadly at him and he returned it to you. “i loved hanta at the time too, i’ve had this massive crush on him since our first year i swear” you said letting out a small laugh.

“know that i’ll always still have that love for you too” he said softly and you smiled at him. “first loves come on now” he said nudging your shoulder and you laughed. “youre my best friend and im sorry for how i treated you in the past” you said leaning your head on his shoulder.

“well when that day comes where you decide to give it a shot i better be the first to know not tetsutetsu” you giggle as you glanced over at tetsutetsu. he was bothering itsuka and neito with something. classic tetsu. “so plans for the holidays?” he asked and you shrugged.

“hanta and i are planning a joint christmas party with our families and be back here for new years with everyone” you nodded your head and he does the same. “sounds nice” he says and you look up at him. “and you? what are your plans?” you asked and he shrugs.

“still debating on it” is all he answers and you dont push it. “now missy there is one thing we havent gone over” juzo said shifting his body to turn to yours. “which is?” you said confused. “how good was shoto?” he whispered to you and your eyes widened.

you smacked his arm. “juzo how could you bring it up” you said playfully. “hmm” you said leaning back thinking about it. “i give it 8/10” you said giving juzo a smirk. “it was pretty good” you said throwing your hands in the air defensively.

“walk me back loser” you smiled and juzo followed you out as you waved bye to the others. he gives you a hug as he drops you off at the door of the dormitory complex. “bye juz” you squeezed him lightly as you both pull away. “i’ll see you later y/n” he said and turned around to start walking back to his dormitory complex.

you walked in to find denki, hanta, eijiro, and katsuki surrounding eri, showing her something. you sigh as you watch and decide to help the poor girl out. “alright thats enough what are you losers showing her?” you said placing your hands gently on eri’s shoulders.

“how to play on the nintendo switch” eri answered for them and you squinted your eyes at the screen. your eyes widened and you immediately took the controller away from eri and scooped her up. you covered her eyes and ears. “guys she’s 7 years old” you hissed at them and denki shrugged.

“whats the big deal its just a bunch of zombies anyway” he defended and you stopped walking. “imagine how mr. aizawa would feel if he caught your dumbasses” you hissed some more and walked away with eri. “means im in trouble guys” you heard hanta say and he followed you into the elevator.

you smacked his arm as the boys let out “oooh’ss”. you looked up at hanta as eri wrapped her small arms around your neck. “what were you thinking??!??” you scolded him and he shrugged. “it was denki’s idea” he shrugged and you squinted your eyes at him.

“what are your plans for christmas?” eri asked which made the two of you turn to her. “were going home and having a small christmas party with our families” you smiled at her and she gave you one back. “how about you? what are you and mr. aizawa doing?” hanta asked her.

“were doing something with uncle hizashi, uncle oboro, and auntie nemuri” she said nodding her head confirming it. “aww how nice” you smiled and she nodded. “we’ll be back for new years, will you guys be too?” she asked and you nodded. “planning a class 3A & 3B new year party, mina and eijiro are planning it” hanta said as the elevator dinged and it opened.

hanta led you to his dorm and you put eri down as she walked in. she immediately runs to the hammock and lays down closing her eyes. “now eri” you start and she looks st you, eyes widened. “do not tell your dad what these idiots showed you okay?” you told her and she nodded her head in understanding. you high-fived her. “atta girl” you said laughing.

eri came back and led you to sit on the sofa and she gave you a presentation of all the toys and clothes she received. she excitedly ran to hanta and dragged him over to sit down on the couch as she started once more. you went to go help the others as eri ran off with all her gifts back to her room.

within an hour and a half the common room was set up and ready for guests to start coming in. juzo, tetsutetsu, itsuka, neito, and yosetsu came in with the rest of class B trailing behind them. "thank you for inviting us" juzo said as he pulled you into a hug and moved on to fist bump hanta and the others. "OUR GIRL!" tetsutetsu yelled out and you laughed. "yup she's here" you said opening your arms for a hug.

“KEIGO TAKAMI IS AT MY PARTY” mina exclaims as she sees keigo and you laugh. “keep it together mina” you said bumping your hip into hers. keigo turns around and sends a wink to you and mina. you sigh adoringly as you watch him walk away and towards mr. aizawa.

“boo!” you heard and jumped up when someone planted their hands on both yours and mina’s shoulders. you turned to see yuga there as he throws his arms around the both of you. “a new year” he says somewhat sadly. you turned to him confused.

“why the sad tone yuga?” you asked kindly as you ran your fingers through his blond hair. “it means we graduate soon, off to different paths” he says and you smile at him. “we’ll make the most of it okay?” you said and he smiles and nods.

mina pulls him out to dance and you laugh watching them walk away. someone covers your eyes as two others grab onto your shoulders. “aw you caught me” you said sarcastically with a giggle. “guess who?” one said and you smile upon hearing his voice. “tenya i know its you” you said as momo giggled off to the side.

“shoto and izuku” you said and they pulled away and tackled you in a hug. “my favorite boys” you smiled so widely as you tried to hold them all in your arms. you failed considering they towered over you. you looked at everyone and your friends smiled at you. “we’ve missed you” tenya said nudging your shoulder and you look up at him.

“im sorry” you said with a sad smile. “its not my intention, you guys are my bestest friends ever” you said and they all stared at you with a smile. “dont apologize its okay, just you know you can bring hanta along right? we dont hate him” momo said pulling you into a hug.

My Hero Academia : You're Next reaction and thoughts

This movie has a couple of highlights, I think the main one being that Giulio saved Anna from her quirk. She deserved a chance to have a normal life and Giulio was had Class 1a to support him in not needing to kill her (I love this guy. He's so fucked up and adorable I want to squeeze him). This message actually carries over to the main story, and would make great fodder for why Deku, Ochako, and Shoto would want to save their respective opponents in the war (if only the latter two did actually get to take greater part in it tho...)

As usual though I wish that BNHA wrote their female characters better. The dream villain has no punch to her except for the dream thing, and I am damn sick of BNHA giving their female characters "softer" quirks. BNHA 2 and 3 had female villains who actually had fighting quirks (sharp hair and archer), so why was she just...standing there. At least we have Mirko kicking ass like usual.

Christ all fucking mighty you give Momo the role of being a genius strategist which is used in the show but never in the damn movies. God I hate just having to see Iida, Deku, Bakugo, Shoto, etc. do all the leading when she is RIGHT THERE. Her dream is...drinking perfect tea??? DRINKING TEA??? I'M SO MAD FOR MAKING HER THIS SHALLOW.

SHOJI, SHOTO, even OJIRO'S dream was so much more interesting and in character than whatever the fuck they gave Momo. This feels like a damn bare minimum why do they just not write Momo as a character dear god.

Shoto's dream was such a punch in the damn gut, and so was Shoji's and Iida's, but god forbid we are able to dive deeper into the meaning and feelings behind these dreams at all in the movie, or even TALK ABOUT THEM AT ALL AFTERWARD.

Ochako's quirk is literally made for dealing with collateral damage and falling debris, which this movie has a shit ton of, and she NEVER got her own cool sequence of doing it. Others in Class 1A have action shots but NOT YOUR MAIN GIRL??? I'll even add salt to my own wound in thinking about how Deku and Ochako don't have any deeper discussion about saving a normal girl from her horrible circumstances, or about their relationship at all.

Hell, I'd say that a whole problem I have with this whole movie is that the characters hardly had any interesting chemistry with each other??? Todobaku fighting side by side was an amazing treat to watch, and being in sync is amazing. Bakugo just being himself and even leading people, being so supportive, was really amazing. But some more banter, conversation, dialogue, about themselves or their circumstances or relationships is so lacking here...(if you chalk it up to just "oh they're too busy fighting" then hell no there was so much leeway for something more fun and interesting.)

This is absolutely not hate towards the character whatsoever, but I am legit struggling to see why Tokoyami is given so much cool screentime? Like narratively or thematically speaking??? He went with The Origin Trio to fight the final bad guys??? If they think he's so cool maybe they could have given something more deep about this character in general I don't know man alsdjkflaksd

As amazing as the animation is (which is incredible spectacle), I am baffled at the sheer lack of strategizing, especially from Deku. It mostly felt like a massive "beat the shit out of them" and it worked? I guess??? Not even being able to further decipher Dark Might's quirk and weaknesses and for the other villains (aside from tdbk, they funnily get the biggest win from all this).

I do quite like Giulio for being the horrendously duty-driven butler guy with only support items carrying him 2nd mc that he is. However I do also wish that Anna was written as a character more as well than being the definition of a damsel in distress I guess. Haiya...Dark Might never interested me much either and all the things Deku was saying to him were exactly what you'd expect from him, but honestly I thought there would be more depth to it especially after he just came back from being a self-destructive vigilante.

If you wanted your antagonist to be an All Might wannabe fighting against post-vigilante Deku, it could have centered more on how that is literally something you do not want to do (since it is killing Toshinori, hurt Deku, make society overly reliant, not empathetic to villains/victims etc). I feel like we're already over the whole "strength and fame doesn't make a hero" thing at this point, so this was honestly such a mid concept. The whole "making a villain with swagger and dance to make them more evil" and all talk about strength just feels old to me atp, especially it has a gayness in a bad way to it. Yeah nothing about him was interesting to me, even after revealing his past with his dad. He's so laughably straight-up evil and Anna is really just a sacrificial damsel in distress so...yeah that's that.

The thing I am personally most pissed about when it comes to this movie isn't even about the movie, it is that it's probably taking away the work and budget for Season 8, because GOD I hope they do the last season justice and stop putting this much effort into things really don't add to the main story. Please just work on Season 8 please I don't need this animators to suffer more for another movie okay.

TLDR: 6.5/10 It is a mid movie. Animation is great, lovely to watch to turn your brain off to. Best part was that Anna was saved by Giulio, but otherwise it is pretty bland in its story and characters if you ask me. If you think otherwise, do share what you like about it because it might help my enjoy it more.

I really hope we'll get more scenes of Bakugou calling Izuku by his name and not "Deku" because Izuku really needs it for his own well being. People think its only use is for Bakugou to show respect to Izuku but that's not all. It helps Izuku with his sense of self worth.

Let me remind yall why he's so self sacrificial and went on a vigilante solo rampage: he thinks his only value as a person is being One For All's holder.

All his life, he's been treated like shit, called "useless" because he didn't have a quirk. Because of that, he thinks he has absolutely no worth so his death wouldn't matter at all.

In the story, people are only showing love and respect to the hero he is. To his dedication to save people. Ochaco always says she admires how dedicated Izuku is to his dream of becoming a hero, Iida started to respect him after he saw him punch the big robot at the entrance exam to save Ochaco, All might chose him as a successor and almost became a father figure to Izuku since he saw the boy run into danger to save Bakugou from the sludge villain, Aizawa started to treat him better when he saw his potential as a hero, Bakugou stopped looking down on him and their relationship became better after he learnt the whole OFA story. He even helped Izuku train with Blackwip. Not to mention everyone, Izuku just became popular ever since he entered the hero course, which is totally different from middle school where he was mocked and bullied.

No wonder Izuku thinks people only love Deku, the hero, the OFA successor, the one who will save everyone, the strategic and smart hero with an awesome quirk. No wonder he's there and fights like the good hero he's supposed to be when society falls and he's given the weight of the world on his shoulders. No wonder he only responds "I'm strong" or "I'll get stronger" when people say they worry about him. Because if he's strong enough to win everytime why would anyone worry? Why would anyone worry about his mental health if he's being an awesome hero?

He doesn't know people also love Midoriya Izuku, for the human being he is. The "plain looking" socially awkward boy who mumbles all the time and will always stick to his red shoes. He doesn't know that. Or rather, he didn't know. Izuku was legitimately surprised when all class 1A came up in the 319th chapter, asking what even were they doing here because he didn't expect them to try to rescue him. He believed they'll just let him do hero stuff like the good hero he is. Izuku didn't imagine they'll worry for him.

So he almost cried when his classmates started to talk about memories they have with him and say they want him back for his own good. He really cries when Ochaco makes her speech saying Midoriya Izuku is just a high schooler, a kid who has a lot to learn and deserves to rest.

The fact that Bakugou calls him Izuku from now on could be very therapeutic in the long run.

"Izuku, we'll be there when you can't handle it all on your own." didn't only mean "Deku, 9th holder, we'll be there to back you up during difficult fights so you don't lose OFA". It also meant "Izuku, my friend, we'll extend you a hand to stand up when you fall and a shoulder to cry on when you're tired."

It means so much. Please may we see more of Bakugou calling our freckles boy by his name we all need it.

You're a student at UA, part of class 1A. You're Aizawa's favourite student. You're just so polite and so sweet. Always so eager to learn and try out new things. And even the class would notice his special treatment of you. "You forgot to do your homework? Hmm, alright you can submit it to me tomorrow. Denki you forgot to bring your homework? Go run 5 laps right now."

Hizashi would often hear about you from his husband. You sounded like a good kid. But he really became interested you when you came looking for Aizawa in the staff room, but you found him instead. Hizashi started talking to you, really just rambling about the most random things. He was expecting you to just leave and go look for Aizawa, but he was pleasantly surprised when you started talking to him too, easily carrying the conversation. Your eyes would light up when you were talking to him. And since then, you would always give him your complete, undivided attention whenever you guys spoke, no matter what the topic was. You'd sometimes be rambling, and then suddenly forget what you were talking about. It was just so cute!

Gradually, these two would become obsessed with their favourite student. They'd also become very protective of you. When it was time to choose an internship, Aizawa rejected all offers from different agencies on your behalf, lying to you that you didn't get any offers. And then you'd become so sad, near tears and then Aizawa would offer to train you himself, that he sees potential in you. Of course you'd accept, you'd get to train with Eraserhead, a rare opportunity!

When you'd be training with Aizawa, he'd go easy on you, but he'd still give you great tips on how to improve yourself and control your quirk. You still haven't been able to beat him once though. Since you'd be around Aizawa a lot, you'd also meet his partner, Hizashi, often. And since you would accompany Aizawa on his late night patrols, you'd have dinner (made by Hizashi, who's more than happy to cook for you) with them at their place a lot, and it always ended up with them offering you stay the night, and you sometimes did.

Their obsession love would continue to grow the more you spent time with them. And then one night, the couple would be discussing about expanding their family, and then they both knew it, right then and there. Its you. You'd be the perfect addition to their family, the perfect child! You're so kind, soft spoken. Outgoing yet shy and reserved when meeting new people. But you're just so naive, too innocent for your own good. And they've both seen the ugliness of the world, the worst in the people. They cannot afford to just stand by idly and risk you getting tainted by this filth.

It was decided that night that you had to become a part of their family. They'll make your parents disappear, they have both the money and the skills to do it. Maybe they'll say that your family was taken or killed by some villians, or better yet, they were caught doing something illegal. But don't worry, you can stay with them for as long as you want. When you try to refuse, that you can stay with a relative, they'll tell you that it's for your own safety. They don't want the villians to complete their unfinished business. Plus, they are more than capable of taking care you, and since you didn't want to risk another family member's life, you agreed.

You'll be having the best time of your life. They'll spoil the hell out of you, Hizashi especially. Aizawa does too, but he's just more protective of you.

Hizashi is a great cook! He'd learn to make your favourite dish too. And if you like something from a restaurant, he'll take it as a challenge and try to replicate the dish, or make a better one! At school, all 3 of you would sometimes have lunch together, you always bringing Aizawa's lunchbox along too, since he often forgets it. If you try to cook a dish for them, they'll treat it like its a Michelin star dish!

Aizawa would be the more protective one, always the harder one to convince to let you go out with your friends, especially at night. Hizashi would always convince him in the end, they're gonna follow you anyways so why stop you? Aizawa's a bit possessive too. He doesn't like it when you talk about other pro heroes, you're his little girl, you should be looking upto him. He won't say anything about it though.

Hizashi would love to just talk to you; you guys would often gossip. Oh and you always go to him for any fashion advice. Since he also has long hair that he styles up a lot, he can do your hair too! Just show him a picture of what you want, and he'll style hair exactly like it. Aizawa likes to do your hair too sometimes, but he only knows how to put it in a simple braid.

They're will be a lot fun activities for you to do with them. You can be having karaoke nights with Hizashi, Aizawa watching you guys with just pure adoration in hie eyes. You can play video games with Aizawa, which he is scary good at, especially at Among us. Family game nights are a must!

If you have any other hobbies or passions, you'll have 2 dads, cheering for you. They'll get you the best supplies available. If you win an award, any award, no matter how small, they'll tell you how proud they are and put your achievements either on the fridge or somewhere where everyone can see it.

Of the two, Aizawa would be the to quickly pick up on your mood. He knows when you're lying, when you're sad, or when you've just had a bad day at school. Hizashi would notice too, but it would be Aizawa who would know if you needed some space or if you needed to talk it out; they've always it clear to you that the latter option is always open.

Once they find out whats the reason you're feeling so down, they'll comfort you. You guys would often cuddle on the sofa as a funny movie played on the TV. Once you've gone to bed, they go and eliminate the cause of distress. Oh did you fail a test? Its okay, they'll tutor you personally. Oh did your favourite character die? Cry it out sweetie and let's go buy some of the character's merchandise . Oh did someone confess their feelings to you and you don't know what to do? Don't worry, he's taken care of.

Dating isn't an option. They'll be quick to reject him/her, listing reasons to you exactly why they're not good for you. Of course, nobody deserves their baby. But if you do go against their wishes, and still get an s/o in secret, they'll find about it. If they're thinking about how to separate you guys, and you walk in all heartbroken because your s/o broke up with you, with no persuasion from the couple; on the inside they'll be both glad and mad. Hizashi will be comforting you, cooing sweet nothings in your ear, while Aizawa would be standing with a "I warned you" look on his face at first but then he sees your red, teary face, your lips wobbling, your eyes full of pools of tears, and immediately his stern exterior would melt and he'll gather you in his arms and let you cry into his chest, while his mind will go to "MURDER". You're their sweet girl, their precious little baby. How dare someone play with your feelings like that. Your ex better sleep with one eye open.

If you do somehow find about what really happened to your parents, and you try to run away from them, not only will they have you back in their arms within the hour, they'll take you somewhere countryside. Its always been noisy in the city anyway. They'll try to explain to you, that they really just did all of this to protect you and that it should show how much they love you and care about you. No physical punishment will ever meet you. No, they can't bear the thought of hurting you! They'll use manipulation to control you, and they are master manipulators. They do so much for you, aren't they enough?

Just be happy they still allow you to roam around the countryside, and not had you locked up in your room. School would be off the table for a while, as will any connection to your friends. Its about time they all had a family vacation anyway.

Let's Talk About Bakugou's Apology

Jfc, I swear this wasn't meant to be an MHA blog but whatever. Let's get into this.

I wanted to give Bakugou stans the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to think that they would only hype something up if it was groundbreaking. I wanted to believe that Horikoshi was a halfway decent writer and would put actual effort into such a pivotal, revered moment in the series.

I was left sorely disappointed for multiple reasons.

1) A List of Excuses To be completely fair to Bakugou, he does take some accountability which was more than I expected. He does acknowledge that what he did was wrong a few times during his little speech. I have to give him credit for that. However, it's overshadowed by the narrative making sure to stress that it was the people around Bakugou who were at fault for that behavior. Which isn't true because even before he got his quirk, he still treated Izuku like garbage. He gave him the name Deku and acted like he was above everyone way before Izuku was deemed quirkless.

(I'd also like to add that the only thing that literal pre-school teacher said was that Bakugou's quirk could make for a fine hero. He was the one who ran with it and decided that it made him better than everyone and that he would be the best)

There's also the fact that every time he does point out what he did was wrong, there's always some kind of justification behind it. "I did... because I felt..." It undermines what's supposed to be a genuine apology because it's not about Bakugou's feelings, he wasn't the one hurt (more on this later).

2) Timing

So many people have brought this up and they're absolutely right; that was the worst possible time for this to happen. Izuku was injured, starving, and dirty. Not to mention his mental state is practically in shambles. He's been isolating himself for weeks in his attempts to walk a selfless, lonely path. The absolute last thing he needed was this shitty apology.

This was supposed to be an effort for Class 1A to show Izuku that they care about him and to convince him to share his burden and come back to UA with them and rest and heal. Instead that genuine effort is highjacked by Bakugou rambling on about something entirely unrelated. He could have done this during the bath scene or even right after that. Instead, it's shoehorned into Izuku's actual friends trying their best to help him.

Iida's words should have been the final ones. They had enough impact and were way more powerful. There was no reason for Bakugou's apology to be the finishing lines.

3) The Insults

It's wild to me that Bakugou apologized for insulting Izuku... right after purposely insulting Izuku.

This is something that has been detrimental to Bakugou's entire character "redemption". "Oh, he's changing!" Except he's still doing the same shit he's always done. It undermines the entire point of redeeming him.

(I hate to be pro Endeavor in any way, but at least when he decided to change he made the genuine effort to stay that way and didn't relapse into old habits)

Not only did him mocking Izuku do absolutely nothing to change his mind, it's just so shitty to do to someone who's clearly struggling. If you are incapable of showing empathy and kindness at a time like this, shut up and sit down because there's no reason for you to open your mouth. You're not helping, you're only making things worse.

And then he says, "I don't expect this to change things between us." Like bro, that's completely on you. All you have to do is not be a dick and act like your apology actually meant something by refraining from hurling insults at someone who did nothing to deserve it. But even after this apology, he continues to yell at and insult Izuku. Sato and Tokoyami even call him out on this, only it's just played for laughs.

Word to the wise kids, an apology means nothing if just keep repeating your bad behavior.

4) No Autonomy for the Victim

Not once do we get to see what Izuku's thinking. Not once do we ever see things from his point of view.

This moment is entirely about Bakugou. It's only a plot device to develop his character and make him come off better. And Izuku who was the victim gets no attention. He doesn't even get to respond, he just faints by the end of it.

In fact, the closest thing we ever get to an insight into Izuku's feelings is All Might saying that he wouldn't hold what Bakugou did against him. That's such a copout considering a) nothing Izuku did ever indicated he felt that way and b) another person is speaking for him. He doesn't even get to say this himself.

Horikoshi does this consistently. Izuku is never allowed to voice how he feels. We never get to see how things are affecting him. The only time he's ever permitted to show strong emotions is when it's in favor of someone else. You would think that by this point in the story that would be rectified. But no, everything has to be about Bakugou. Not even in his own rescue story can Izuku ever be the center of attention. No, it's all about making Bakugou better.

(Again I hate to be pro Endeavor, but at least Shoto, Fuyumi, and Natsu get to respond to Endeavor's attempts at atonement on their own terms. Natsu is allowed to be angry. Fuyumi gets to make the choice to forgive him. Shoto is allowed to ponder the decision. Both cases are terrible abuse narratives, but at least the Todoroki kids have a say in how they feel and are allowed to express it. Izuku doesn't even get that)

It feels like Izuku isn't even allowed to be a victim in any way, shape, or form. He's just there to prop Bakugou

what they’re insecure about in the relationship

featuring: midoriya, bakugo, todoroki, kirishima, kaminari, shinso, amajiki and dabi

all these boys deserve love no matter what!! some fluff, some angst, some possible (dabi) manga spoilers..

midoriya is afraid that he’s not good enough for you. it’s that simple. he wants to be strong and the best hero he can be, as there was a time when he felt helpless and weak. it comes at a cost though when he puts himself through too much and ends up damaging himself more than he’s helped. his self-sacrificing tendencies are hard to give up, but he wants to focus more on you. he can’t stand seeing you cry when he’s hurt. it only makes him feel helpless all over again or like he’s the reason for your pain. but he doesn’t want to lie to you and promise that he’ll hold back next time. you have to hold him tight and make sure he knows that you appreciate everything he does for you or for others but it’s okay to slow down sometimes. he can still give everything even when it’s not 100 percent. nothing he does is without effort and that’s more than you could ever ask for. 

bakugo’s tough and prideful exterior never ceases, but he worries that he can be too rough with you sometimes. he feels like he should be treating you differently than he does others, like not yell as much. his biggest fear involves you leaving him for someone who’s more gentle but can still protect you, like kirishima. he’s not used to having so many feelings for someone. you drive him crazy in both the best and worst ways but he wouldn’t trade any of that for anything. he likes to surprise you with cuddles, just holding you peacefully while occasionally pressing kisses to your head. he makes you smile more than he thinks, so you try to return the favor. you always strive to beat him to the ‘i love you’ so he knows and can make damn sure that he doesn’t have to worry. 

todoroki isn’t overtly insecure, but the gears in his head really turn when he hears that he’s deemed ‘class 1A’s pretty boy.’ he doesn’t understand what makes him so special, especially in terms of physical appearance. he doesn’t like to feel insecure about his scar but it only reminds him of his strife and trauma. forget about being ‘pretty,’ how could you deal with someone who once held so much anger in their heart? you’re so wonderful to him but he never wants to take advantage of your kindness and worries that it’ll all be too much to handle one day. it hurts to hear how much his past tortures him so you invite him to get comfy in his favorite spot, with his head on your shoulder. you stroke his hair and rub his back as you remind him that he is more than his past; that he’s funny, kind, caring, beautiful. you will never have a reason to let him go because he’s everything you ever wanted. 

kirishima is always confident in himself and knows how to turn things around into the positives, so you’re shocked when he admits that he’s surprised that you’re still with him. he wants to be a better boyfriend to you because sometimes he has absolutely no idea what he’s doing. sure, he’s manly but there’s always someone better, like bakugo: smarter, can use their quirk better, maybe even all around more manly. it breaks your heart to hear him have doubts because it’s totally the opposite so you like to tell him how wonderful he is to you. he gives you all his attention when he’s with you and makes you feel nothing but loved. you could never match it but you try to love on him with as many kisses and cuddles as he wishes. and he couldn’t ask for anyone better (or cuter) than you. you love spending time with him and would be happy to give him more if he wanted. 

kaminari feels he’s nothing special to you, especially when it comes to how much smarter you are than him. he’s at the bottom of the class, can’t use his quirk too much without frying his brain and therefore he just doesn’t deserve to be with someone as great as you. he’s afraid that you’ll grow so far apart that one day, you’ll be gone. he doesn’t want to drag you down. little does he know, you don’t care about how smart or dumb he is. he never ever fails to make you smile, even when you’re in the corner of your room crying your eyes out. he dotes on you, shows you so much love, like no one else has. you tell him you don’t want anyone else and he is more deserving of your love than anyone else. you actually like when he short circuits, because that’s your chance to take care of him and show him just how much he means to you. 

shinso questions your trust in him but then again, he’s never been in good standing with his own trust in others. they were almost afraid of him or avoided him because of his ‘villainous’ quirk. it’s not that he has doubts about you, but rather that he fears that he’ll do something that will scare or hurt you. loving him is different and while he loves your affections, you have to come at this with a different approach. you offer to let him brainwash you to show how much you trust him. he swore he would never do that to you but you reiterate that you know he’s not going to do anything he’d regret. you love him too much to watch him suffer in his head. afterwards you seal it with a kiss, printing all the love and passion you can convey with your lips on him. you physically feel him release all the tension, gifting you with a smile. shall i expand on this??

amajiki doesn’t strive to be manly like kirishima but he doesn’t want you to think that he’s a nervous, anxiety-ridden mess all the time. he wants to be cool and show you that he can protect you just as much as any ‘manly’ person out there. he knows you’re fine all on your own and that you can handle yourself. what worries him the most is that you’ll figure out that you don’t need him; he’s only a burden to you. but he’s so sweet that you can’t bare to watch him put so much pressure on himself. sure, he’s not always bold but he still has an amazing amount of courage when it comes down to protecting people. he truly amazes you every single day. although you love how shy he can be, that one day he kissed you on the lips, holding you impossibly close without any hesitation had your head spinning. you remind him that it’s moments like those that make you never want to let him go.

dabi just doesn’t understand your appeal to him, period. his burnt skin has to be held together by force, he coughs a lot and just generally looks weak. he can’t protect you without burning up inside, literally. looks aside, he’s done horrible things. he can’t rationalize how anyone could love him even after all the turmoil and destruction he’s caused. sometimes it makes him angry when he can’t figure out why you’re still there yet, he doesn’t want to let you go. he worries he’ll scare you off with his self-deprecation. he can’t fight how you feel for him and neither can you. yes, he has issues as result of a damning past but that doesn’t mean he isn’t worthy of love. he lets you hold him close to your chest as you tell him that you’re not afraid of him or anything that happens to him or you. he falls asleep to the sound of your heartbeat as you make sure he knows his persistence makes him strong, even when he feels weak.

MHA | The class 1A boys ’ Starbucks orders and their reaction to you remembering it

A/N: bit of a bland prompt, but I’m having a fun time writing for it! I intend for this to be a series so if you like this one, stay tuned for more. Links to previous parts of the series available below.

Series will include: Tenya Ida, Shoto Todoroki, Izuku Midoriya, Hanta Sero, Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima, and Katsuki Bakugo

Izuku Midoriya - Izuku takes his training very seriously and by extension, his diet and what he puts in his body - if he’s going to master All for One he needs to get his body in perfect shape - and if he’s going consume a lot of calories it better be katsudon - therefore he’s not much of a Starbuck’s fan - it seems expensive and a bit to overhyped - i mean, it’s just coffee after all and he’s always thought it was kinda of bitter - but you do know Izuku drinks a lot of tea, it seems All Might is inviting him for a cup every few days - drink of choice: venti iced green tea - it’s refreshing and tasty, without causing a sugar crash part way through the extra training he does after a day of classes - the world-renowned U.A. sports festival was only a few days away and Izuku was nervous about the event - he had been cramming even more extra training than normal into his schedule in order to prepare - he asked you to meet him after school so he could practice a new move he wanted to try with the comfort of a spotter nearby - you agreed without much thought, his tenacity always inspired you - he didn’t just want to be the best, he worked for it - constantly - you raced to the nearby Starbucks as soon as the bell rung, knowing you had 30 minutes until you were supposed to meet Izuku on the practice field - you got your usual order and plus a venti iced green tea - Izuku has been working so hard, but he would always think he could be doing more - that’s why you decided he deserved at least a little treat - you couldn’t get him anything too ostentatious or tell him how inspiring you find him without distracting him from his goal - so you headed to meet Izuku armed with an iced green tea meant to convey your emotions about him… to him… - you tried your best to ignore the fluttering in your stomach as you approached him on the field - he was currently flipping through the latest notebook in his library of hero notes but as soon as he saw you approaching he flashed his dopey smile and waved - you met him with your arm extended, offering him the tea - “Hi Deku! I figured if you’re planning on practicing a new move you should be sure to stay hydrated.” - his boyish grin briefly morphs to a look of surprise, but he’s quick to regain his composure - as he takes the beverage from you his calloused fingers softly graze the tender skin of your own, causing the kaleidoscope of butterflies to spin in your stomach once more - “This is great, Y/N! I didn’t realize you noticed how much I like green tea. Thank you!” his response the sweetest mix of excitement and sincerity - without realizing it you respond, “I notice a lot of things about you, Deku.” - your eyes widen as you register what you’ve said but Izuku is too preoccupied short-circuiting to notice - “You do?! I mean - I notice things about you too! But I just didn’t think that someone like you would be interested enough in someone like me to notice things about me. But I mean - I’m happy that you do! Notice things, I mean.” - you can’t help but let out a laugh, one of both amusement and relief - you sigh sweetly at the nervous boy in front of you, willing your checks to return to their original color - “Well um,” you begin, “let’s see this new move of yours! I’m sure it’s something amazing.” - “Oh right!” Izuku responds, one hand rubbing the back of his neck - you and Deku spend a few hours polishing his newest move and guessing what the sports festival will entail - he even gives you a few ideas on how to improve your own quirk - as the sun starts to set, he walks you to the bus stop - “Thanks again for helping me. And for the tea,” he says. - he opens his mouth to say something more but closes it again - he opens it one last time after a moment and says, “well I’ll see you tomorrow, Y/N!” with a smile, walking away without fully turning his back to you - “Yeah, see you tomorrow, Deku!” you say with a smile of your own - it took the whole bus ride home for the butterflies in your stomach to settle

Imagine: When they have a crush...PART 1

Contains: possessive behavior, rejection, mild obsession, some unhealthy behaviors, lovestruck boys.

Midoriya - Midoriya is, predictably, a stammering red mess around his crush. He struggles to get words out, or think of the right thing to say. He will often start rambling and just go on and on until somebody interrupts him. Midoriya struggles between either avoiding his crush due to his anxiety, or seeking them out in order to be close to them. And, as much as being near them sends his heart racing and has him breaking out into a panicked sweat, Midoriya really wants to be around them.

Midoriya is highly emotional and feels things deeply. Even before he realizes the truth behind his feelings, he comes to adore this person and admires almost everything about them. In his eyes, they are flawless. He often fights with the urge to confess his feelings to them...They could be sitting somewhere just having a casual conversation, and Midoriya may sense his emotions beginning to overwhelm him - and the words nearly spill from his mouth. 

He will often stare at them dazedly, with a soft smile on his face, while admiring something about them - it could be anything from their smile, the way they tuck their hair behind their ears, or something sweet that they just said. Midoriya admires kindness and courage. He admires someone who looks after others - someone who looks after him.

Midoriya may hesitate to confess his love simply due to feelings of inadequacy - what if he isn't good enough? Strong enough? What if his crush deserves someone better? These feelings give him further motivation to become both a stronger person and a more capable hero - this will especially be the case if his crush is also an aspiring hero. If his crush is a civilian, they imbue him with an even stronger urge to protect.

Despite his inner trepidation, Midoriya will try to at least talk and associate with his crush. If they ever need help with anything, he stumbles in with a solution and a flustered offer of assistance. 

Midoriya will likely start a separate journal dedicated solely to his crush. It’s inevitable. It's his habit to write about subjects that he finds interesting - so the young hero attempts to quell the feeling that what he's doing may be perceived as weird or creepy. 

But, yet again, he can’t help it - Midoriya's just so smitten, and collecting information about a subject, to him, simply means that he's passionate about said subject. He also writes about his friends’ quirks after all. The major difference is that, rather than just any information about his crush’s quirk (if they have one), Midoriya will additionally document every other little thing he manages to learn about them...Their favorite color, favorite food, their hobbies...Everything.

If his crush wound up with someone else other than him, or simply rejected him, it’s no understatement that Midoriya would be heartbroken. It would take him a very long time to get over this crush - he would always refer to them as his “first love.”

Todoroki - Todoroki will likely understand quickly when he has a crush on someone, as such emotions entail feelings of attachment, fondness, and a desire for companionship, all of which Todoroki is not accustomed to feeling. Also, Todoroki is not all that invested in romantic relationships - that is, until this person comes around. He will quickly come to realize that this person is special...

He will both consciously and subconsciously seek them out. Todoroki has spent much of his life isolated and starved for affection, so when he finds someone who makes him feel differently - warm and happy - he is drawn to them like a moth to a flame (ha).

He is genuinely a caring person, but he will be even more caring and attentive to his crush. He notices his crush falling behind in their studies? He will offer to tutor them. Not getting enough to eat amidst a hectic schedule? Todoroki will bombard them with information on the importance of proper nutrition and personally escort his crush to a restaurant to make sure they eat. He will be paying, of course, calmly stating that he invited them after all. Todoroki can’t even imagine having his crush pay for anything, whether or not the two of them are romantically involved. 

If his crush is a UA student like himself Todoroki will, of course, be constantly concerned for their well being, but will also be willing to help them hone their skills. He has the urge to protect them and wishes to be relied upon by them. At the same time, he understands the importance of them being able to fight for themselves. 

Still, deep down, he often wishes to be relied upon more by his crush. It may very well be the more domineering part of his personality coming through - a side that Todoroki wasn’t even aware that he had. However, even if he tries to deny it, Todoroki does have certain “alpha” tendencies; and they show in his actions and feelings toward his significant other.

Todoroki will often do certain amorous, or “romantic” things unknowingly. To him, he is simply being himself and being honest. He’s not necessarily shouting his feelings from the rooftops, but he is certainly being particularly nice to his crush - his feelings are pretty clear to most people observing him. His crush, even if they don’t completely catch onto Todoroki’s true sentiments, will still be flustered by his unusual actions. The way he smiles so kindly at them, his eyes focused on them as if they’re the center of his world. The way he just comes up and automatically takes something heavy from their hands, saying that he’ll help and that it’s no good if they hurt their wrists. The way he compliments them on modifications on their hero costume - a color change? It suits them. Matches their eyes. 

Todoroki takes his feelings fairly seriously, considering how rare they are for him. He doesn’t get frivolous crushes. He doesn’t want to lose touch with these emotions...For the first time in a long while, he knows what he wants. But these feelings come with fresh fear - will he able to protect someone who he cares so deeply for, after he failed to protect his mother? What if his beloved gets hurt? What if he wants to control and dominate them, force them into something that they don’t want, much like the cruelty that his father inflicted upon his mother? Once these fears surface he may start unwillingly distancing himself from his crush, but quickly discovers that he can’t - he just wants to be around them all the time, they’re his light in the encroaching darkness.

If his crush winds up with someone else, or denies Todoroki’s feelings, Todoroki will be left cold inside. He will be deeply hurt after allowing himself to feel such things - for having such high hopes, only to discover that they were nothing but distant fantasies. For some time he will lock that hurt away and pour himself into his hero work. But slowly, he will attempt to deal with the experience and how it made him feel. It would take him a long time to allow himself to feel that way again. 

Bakugou - Bakugou is in denial at first. Hard, steadfast denial. He isn't an idiot - deep down, Bakugou knows what these feelings are. Even if he’s never felt them before - he knows. But he will constantly deny them for a long time...He's a future pro-hero in training! He doesn't have time for stupid, meaningless crushes!

His denial will only make things worse as it will cause his emotions to boil over. As much as he tries to avoid looking at his crush, his eyes are drawn to them. As much as he tries to avoid contact with them, his legs automatically carry him to wherever they may be. As much as he tries not to admire ANYTHING about them, he finds himself doing the exact opposite - admiring their body, their voice, their jokes, their laughter, how their clothes hug their figure just so. Bakugou likes a spitfire, someone who doesn’t take any shit. They don’t necessarily have to be loud and abrasive, they can just as easily be someone quieter and intense. Point is, they’re strong and confident. 

With that attraction to personality comes a potent physical attraction. Bakugou is a very healthy young man - he has urges. And it’s not long before he finds himself fantasizing about his crush. These fantasizes both arouse and embarrass him. He feels as if he’s at the mercy of someone - that this person has the ability to hurt him, to affect him. And Bakugou Katsuki does not need mercy from anyone.

He doesn’t need them.

As a result of all these mixed feelings, Bakugou runs from the truth. He becomes further frustrated and angry. He takes all of this out on his crush, blaming them inside his head for all of his inner turmoil. Deep down - deep, deep down - he feels guilty for how he treats them. He almost wishes he could interact with them like the rest of his UA classmates - easily, in a friendly manner. But no, his pride won’t allow it.

Conversely, he becomes angry seeing his crush with anyone else, especially if the interaction appears romantic. He doesn’t consider how illogical his actions appear. One minute he’s making a fuss, berating his crush and whoever they’re with for spending time together. And the next minute, he’s belittling his crush and acting like they’re the scum of the earth. His crush is beyond confused. Some people in class 1A, notably Kirishima and Kaminari, may catch onto the fact that Bakugou has a crush.

Later on, when Bakugou matures somewhat as both a person and a hero, he may attempt to have a civil conversation with his crush. He may even try to hint at his feelings. But the damage will likely already be done. Bakugou would have to really put himself out there for there to even be a chance for his crush to accept him and his romantic feelings. But he’s persistent and will not take “no” for an answer that easily. He will attempt to wow them with his battle prowess and his hero work. And he will always be there to protect them and take a hit for them.

If denied, Bakugou is left angry and vindictive. Even though he’s aware that it’s likely his own fault that he was rejected Bakugou will still, in his bitter heart, blame his crush. They were a fool for rejecting him. Look at him. He’s famous, powerful, gunning for the position of the strongest hero in the world, he’s going to be making millions, he has so many admirers - who the hell would reject him???

Reluctant Regression

A/n: so I decided to write an age regression series with the 1A class and the many adventures of little you with the heroes in training! Mainly because I have always hated the fact I regressed, since mine was usually involuntary, but I’m trying to get better control and be on better terms with it. So more coping fiction basically. Once again this is not a kink thing and if you treat it as such or even think of breathing near my stories while believing it to be kinky, I will wring your neck myself and steal your kneecaps. Okie! On with the story!

Being a hero in training was hard. Being a student who age regressed while balancing school, hero work, and a social life did not make this any easier. All it did was add more onto your plate and you were starting to get overwhelmed again.

There was countless projects and tests due for each and every class, all of them able to either save or destroy your grade. Crime was on the rise as well, so more and more heroes and agencies were attempting to get interns to put into the field as a means to combat it. Not to mention you were practically killing yourself trying to look out for all your friends. Organizing study sessions and homework help for those who needed it, being a shoulder to cry on for those who were in a bad mental place, and doing your best to keep the peace in the dorms.

Everyone was on edge right now with all of the added work and it was leading to arguments and fights that otherwise wouldn’t happen. You tried your best to keep everyone’s spirits up and could normally be seen trying to help make dinner or snacks for everyone to stop them from being hangry.

“Y/n you’re such a mom friend you know!” Momo had told you one day after you had given her a cup of tea when you had seen how sad she looked. You smiled at her and shrugged. “That’s just how I am. I want everyone to be happy and healthy and the best way to do that is by making sure of it myself.” You said.

A few of your closer friends however were getting concerned. They could tell how you were weakening under the stress and how the smiles you gave people seemed to grow faker and faker. You thought you were hiding it well but they could tell something was wrong. You didn’t know that they knew however, until Bakugou cornered you one day after class.

“Y/n we need to talk.” He said gruffly. “Oh? Is it about the homework for Midnight? I’ve been having trouble understanding it myself but I’m sure we can figure it out together!” You said cheerfully. “No that’s not it. Dumbass, when was the last time yourself be little?” He asked.

You froze and bit your lip. It had been a while, especially since high school days felt like weeks. A week or two honestly, ever since the homework and other work started raining down on all of you with no respite. There was too much to get done and definitely not enough time for you to sit there and be little. “A week or two. But it’s not that big of a deal. I’ll be fine.” You said as you started to push past him.

Bakugou grabbed your arm and glared at you. “Y/n you’re not fine.” He said and you shook him off. “I am!” You argued. Bakugou just sighed and started steering you towards the door.

“You’re putting too much stress on yourself. Come on, the other idiots are already getting your room ready.” He said. This wasn’t quite surprising as you had given your caregivers, the Bakusquad, keys to get to your room in case you ever went too little to really open the door. It was rare but it had happened.

“Bakugou no! Tell them to stop it!” You yelled. He just groaned and clenched his fists. Why did his friends think he’d be the one for this job? He wasn’t good with all of this mushy gushy shit! “Why don’t you want to be little? You’ve never had a problem before!” He yelled back. Thankfully it was the end of the day and no one was around to hear you.

“I don’t deserve it, okay? There’s too much to do and too much that I haven’t been doing well enough on.” You said and he stared at you with an open mouth. “You’re dumber than I thought. Little you is basically a separate you, right?” He asked and you nodded.

“You’re a literal child when in that mindset. And what would you call it if someone wouldn’t let their brat play just because they didn’t ‘deserve it?’” He asked. You went quiet and looked at the floor. “That’s abuse. Isn’t it?” “Yes! You’re abusing yourself dumbass! Now come on, let’s go to your room.” He huffed out when he saw you finally were coming to an agreement.

You just frowned and let him lead you along. Even with the explanation, you didn't even know if you'd be able to let yourself regress fully like you needed to. You had spent the last few weeks trying your hardest not to, after all.

Bakugou frowned when he noticed how off you seemed. It didn’t take long for him to figure out what the problem was and he stuck his hand out to you. “Hold it. I know you tend to want to wander off when you start slipping. Kirishima and the others will kill me if I lose our kiddo.” He explained.

You just nodded and grabbed his hand, smiling at the warm fuzzy feeling that began to well up in you. He was making you feel safe and secure which was what you needed. It didn’t take long for the two of you to get to the dorm after you stopped fighting him every step of the way.

“Pebble! You ready to have some fun?” Kirishima asked as he opened your door. You nodded and he grinned as he stepped aside for you and Bakugou to come in. “There’s my little flower!” Mina cooed as she hugged you. You giggled and hugged her back.

The pet names and affection was all helping you begin to get little and your friends were loving it. “Such a cutie!” Sero said as he ruffled your hair. They all nodded in agreement.

Kaminari was practically bouncing in place as he looked at everyone. “Can we show them the surprise?” He asked. You perked up at his words and cocked your head to the side. “A surpwise?” You asked, the headspace you were currently in messing with your speech a little.

Mina nodded as she kneeled down in front of you. “We thought that since you’ve just been working so hard lately...” she started. “And because you’ve been doing so well on your tests...” Sero continued. “That you deserved a little something extra!” Kirishima cheered as he reached down to boop your nose. You giggled and reached out for his hand, making him grin happily.

“Give it to them already you idiots.” Bakugou muttered, earning an elbow to the side from Sero. “Be nicer in front of the baby. We don’t want them picking up your bad habits.” Sero hissed.

“Drum roll please!” Kaminari cheered as he looked at his friends. You started drumming on the floor, as did the rest of your friends. Except for Bakugou who just rolled his eyes a bit. “Aaaaand Ta da!” Kaminari yelled as he proudly held up your gift.

It was a squishmallow, one of the most adorable stuffie brands taking the world by storm. They’ve become a popular collectible and almost impossible to find in stores. This one was a grey dragon and you gasped in delight. “A squishie!” You cheered as you made grabby hands.

“Here you go kiddo! We got you the coolest one we could!” He said as he handed it over. Almost immediately you were hugging the toy and babbling excitedly. Sero smiled and began to stroke your head as you babbled to them.

“We got a squishmallow since they’re so popular even among adults that we figured no one would question it if they saw.” Mina explained and you smiled at her.

“What do you say y/n?” Bakugou asked, sounding exactly like a parent in that moment. “Tank youuuu.” You said and Kirishima grinned. “Of course kiddo! Anything for you!” He said as he scooped you up in a hug.

In the end, your friends always knew how to take care of you. It didn’t matter if you were big or little, they always had your back.

Bakugou Katsuki is not as bad as he seems.

Okay, fine. That's a lie. Bakugou is a loud and obnoxious asshole with little to no character development and will snap at anyone who breathes on him the wrong way.

Now that that's out of the way, let's move on to why he's like that.

You all know what PTSD is, yeah? If not, it stands for "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder". It's something that causes panic attacks, unnecessary aggression, trust issues, nightmares, anxiety, depression, and more. People will develop it after a traumatic experience. It takes years of therapy to recover... actually, most people never recover from it.

Fun fact: Katsuki canonically has PTSD. It's confirmed, and you know what? After everything he's been through, it's not much of a surprise. He's been through one tragedy after another and never seems to get a break.

When we first met Bakugou Mitsuki (Katsuki's mother) in chapter #96, we instantly realized how aggressive she was. I mean come on! She talked smack right in front of him and his teachers- in front of All Might who she knew her son was very fond of. Katsuki may be irritable, but to have your own mother backhand you in front of your own role model is a little much.

Later on in chapter #165 during the Provisual License Exams, we get a little more information that only points towards more abuse- and this time it's not so verbal.

Most people paid no real attention nor gave it a second thought in these panels, but remember when Katsuki suggested to use violence against the kids? Of course, you'd look at it and wave it off as "normal Bakugou behavior", but what he says next took me by surprise:

That's right. He was raised that way.

Which means either Mitsuki or Masaru (or both) had struck him in some way multiple times as he was growing up, and I doubt it was Masaru.

"Spoiled" my ass. He might have a strong quirk, but people don't turn into little monsters just by being praised. It'll definely boost his confidence, but not dramatically. This could also explain his aggression toward Midoriya. He realized how helpless he was and had power over someone else for once. But that's just a theory.

Okay, let's fast forward a bit. He's finishing up his third year of Middle School and is preparing for the UA entrance exams. He's pushed away his childhood friend to follow his own dreams and tells him to jump off the roof.

Literally.

And then he walks out the door only to regret it much, much, muuuch later in the series- y'know. The "character development" I was talking about.

Next time we see him though, he gets what he deserves.

One panel he's tramping through an alley with his friends, and the next, he's being swallowed alive by the most perverted-looking slime monster I've ever laid my eyes on.

While Izuku's dreams are being crushed by his own hero, Katsuki is fighting for his life in the middle of town. He's struggling, but all he could do was look back at all the dozens of fearful eyes...

Right there. Right now. Look at him:

He's terrified. He's humiliated and afraid and hurt and despite all of the heroes that were there, none of them had even attempted to save him.

And this is where it really starts. This is where it all begins. Next thing we know, Izuku's running straight for him... The boy Katsuki's bullied almost all of his life is risking his own in order to save him.

You know the story from there; All Might trains Izuku to withhold his power, they get accepted into UA, and then comes the Sports Festival.

Katsuki's already made up his mind: he's gonna win. He's willing to give everything he has to show the country what he's made of, and this may be his only chance to make up for the mishap several months ago. And Monoma, being a professional at making things worse by opening his mouth, rubs salt in the wound.

It was pretty easy to predict Katsuki's reaction: pissed off and more than ready to prove him wrong. He does, but it cost him his "first place" during the Calvary Battle. But that's okay 'cuz it's not over yet!

Welcome to the next and last stage of the festival: The Battle Tournament, where all the kids get to beat the shit out of each other until only one remains.

Turns out, Katsuki does win. It was a foolproof plan: get Todoroki to go all out on him so he can make a final impression before the end of the day. But it was obvious that Shouto was still unsure of himself, so Katsuki did what he did best:

He had to piss him off.

But instead of getting angry and bursting into flames like he had planned, Shouto threw away the battle at the last second, and everything Katsuki had worked for with it.

No shit he's gonna be upset! He worked his ass off to get where he was, and the whole point was to leave himself a footprint! His entire life had been dedicated to that moment, and it faded away right in front of him.

Midnight put him to sleep and he woke up and threw a temper tantrum.

Now this is was UA did wrong:

Why would you do that?! They were all aware of what happened to him only a few months ago, he obviously hasn't properly recovered from it, and they restrain him in front of thousands of people. They cover his mouth and gag him, lock his hands in a tiny metal box and expect him not to go insane. Helloooo?! Wake up! He's just a kid!

Several months go by and now it's time for camp. Katsuki is tired. They all are. It's been a long day of training and training and training, and suddenly villains come out of nowhere, and nobody is prepared. And who shows up? The League of Villains, and they're after certain students...

Tokoyami escapes safely, but Katsuki isn't so lucky.

Just think about that for a second. When we see Shigaraki holding a picture of him, it's the one where UA tied him up. He knows what this child has gone through and he pities him. To be honest, I think the LoV treated him much better than anyone ever has (except maybe Kirishima). They're hesitant, but they treat him with kindness. They didn't just want him for his quirk. They saw what the heroes did to him and wanted to help him get the revenge he deserved.

But when All Might showed up (more like "burst through the wall like the Cool Aid man"), Katsuki is instantly teleported in the strangest way possible... and the most traumatizing.

He chokes out this weird slime-like substance that devours him within seconds. Thankfully it only last that long, but then again, the Sludge Incident, remember?

Yeah, bet that brings back some memories.

But what must have hurt him the most was All Might's downfall and early retirement. He said it himself:

After several chapters, he finally burst. He's been holding all the pain inside of him until it bubbled over and he couldn't take it anymore. So he went to the only person he could- the person he hated and yet trusted the most.

Maybe the Class 1A concert helped him in a way. It seemed like it brought him down and maybe even relaxed him a little. And something incredible happens. Something we haven't seen from him at all until now...

(From here, I'll try to keep it short to avoid as many manga spoilers as I can. That and I'm tired...)

He began to change; started to support Izuku... in his own twisted way, of course. As chapters went by, he started to open up little by little. He admitted what he had done to Izuku in middle school to All Might, which had brought him some peace of mind. It wasn't quite the apology we had hoped for, but I guess it'll do.

And during the war, he made the greatest sacrifice, finally unlocking his quirk's full potential. Despite being unable to move, he used his quirk to throw himself in front of Izuku without thinking, taking a blow to his stomach. To his stomach.

He was impaled.

Holy shit.

Last time someone had been impaled was Nighteye, and he died from his wounds.

But Katsuki somehow managed to survive... And woke up ready to beat Izuku's ass if he didn't wake up.

Anyway, that's all I have to say (so far). However, I'm excited for Season 5 of the anime series! Can't wait to see our new story animated! I mean, I've been watching the episodes as they come out, but still.

MVA was disappointing to me, not saying it didn’t have its good moments. But they got rid of so many moments from the manga that just angers me that sets up certain elements in the future. I was looking forward to the shelter scene before Gigantomachia attacked along with Spinner’s narration but they fucked that up. And the sushi! It’s such a humanizing factor Bones erased, it’s just frustrating and then you have people wondering why we manga readers complain. MVA basically only got 5 episodes because of a filler and prolonging JT making it long then it needed to be. Ughghg, anyway sorry for the rant. It’s just unfortunate, Bones used to be faithful to the material but they screwed all that up thanks to the movie

I understand your frustration. Personally I did like MVA, but I wished I ended up loving it to bits. I do agree with the parts of the arc that made it appealing, besides twice's, toga's, and shigaraki's backstories, that ended up being cut. The more the arc got delayed, I knew that many parts were going to get cut.

Like these...

This was the perfect set up and introduction of the arc. The showing of redestro's commercial of 'promoting' his company, knowing it has a message about society treating people who are 'different'. And with Rikiya murdering his secretary Miyashita, after keep poking fun at the meta liberation's ideals, which caused Rikiya to snap. Showing that he was a threat. I remember being scared by him when I read that chapter.

And that introduction went in hand and followed up with these panels.

Spinner, I'm so sorry that you got done so dirty. 😔 you deserved better. Those moments showcased how quirk society treats people like spinner or people similar to him. And spinner wanting that change in society after being inspired by stain.

Not to mention, The arc perfectly shows that the villains were made not born. Unfortunately I have to agree with the complaining part which what makes it so frustrating.

Cause we still have people complaining how Tomura, Toga, Twice, and Dabi were just 'psycho's' from birth when it shows that they were literally descended to madness as children/teens by either the system and society abandoning them or the adults in their lives who were supposed to help them but failed and or it's both (technically both).

Final, I hated how bones is 'washing' away the humanity that the league is showing towards each other, showing that they are close and are literally a 'nakama'. In the anime, it seems that bones is showing them just as villains, not people who still have a shred of humanity in them. The only time it's a bit referenced in this arc is when twice looks for toga, twice defending everyone, shigaraki being angry at the meta liberation army for toying with twice's feelings. And when Rikiya says he heard that they were close. I mean that's good but I wanted the twice and toga making fun of dabi for being a terrible recruiter, tomura eating a 'cookie'?, and poor compress just wanting some sushi. and tomura giving his FAMILY sushi!

I hope that Bones doesn't make that same mistake in the war arc. And I hope another movie isn't being in development while season 6 is airing. The filler episode, extending the JT arc and majority of the focus on the world heroes movie was so unnecessary. It wasn't even needed.

I don't want anymore close moments of the league being 'erased'. Such as the panel of the league wanting toga coming back, compress admitting that he loves the league, dabi internally defending twice from hawk's claim and protecting spinner and shigaraki from nejire and toga being concerned on dabi's arm.

A lot of people like to point out that Class 1A are close and have bonds like a family but the league shows that they just have those same bonds as well.

one last thing is I remember way before season 5 premiered I saw a meme of the One fear comic. Of saying I have no fear and the middle said 'my villain academia not getting the treatment it deserves' and one fear. Whoever you are, you predicted the future.
