Another of Dewan’s longtime collaborators is Julian Koster, who once performed in Neutral Milk Hotel and currently leads the Music Tapes. In 2002, Koster tapped Dewan to narrate the Music Tapes’ 2nd Imaginary Symphony for Cloudmaking, a story-album set for release on the Merge label later this year and which Koster hopes to perform live in New York and other selected US cities. “Every generation has a few very special people, people who are makers of things and are waiting to be discovered,” says Koster. “And Brian is definitely one of those people.”

I'm going to schedule the backlog today for the next coming weeks.

Before that, here are my plans for 2025:

1) Finish my pony blog @ask-lola-cloudmaker

As to why this one specifically, well, I've written out the story I wanted to tell in ask blog form and I just want to share the story as I imagined it 10+ years ago. I'm notorious for not finishing my projects properly, and this is one of them. Currently aiming for late Spring 2025 release.

Here's a sneaky WIP

2) Make a new commission sheet + social media update

See that profile picture on the art blog? I hate it. I need a new one. Plus going to simplify my commission ordering process and I really need to make everything more presentable and easier to understand.

3) Make that YouTube video idea a reality

I'm in a unique position to make it happen, and I think it's going to be fun to do. For that I will need to draw 1 persona pose that I'll edit to be a representation of myself and write a comprehensive script. I already started the script itself, but I need to make sure it's not a pain to read and listen to. All of my microphones suck though, I'm not sure what should I stick to. The hardware issue is a real one and I don't quite know whom to ask for help. Internet research didn't help.

Other stuff is going to happen this year in my personal life that I hope will go fine. They better!

Anyway, I'll see you guys later, and please tell me about your hopes and dreams for 2025~

Aeris, the Cloudmaker

The last of a lineage of dragons capable of manipulating and creating clouds. Its majestic flight is a rare spectacle, which few mortals are lucky enough to witness. Anyone who dares to tell that he saw it is considered crazy or a liar.

I'm trying to update my portfolio, I'll do some illustrations for the cardgame industry, this is the first one. :)
