I’ve been sort of logging my thoughts into a note pad while I draw and it’s so interesting to figure out how I think when I draw. Anyways. No idea how I’m gonna render this but I’m gonna give it a hell of a shot :D

Some people are made for the sun.

That's what all the stories and songs and pretty poems claimed anyway. Some people are made for the sun, others are made for the night. It's a pretty bit of flattery, one he's sure he's used before, easy to mimic and true enough if rather empty. After all, the golden frame of daylight can make most anything appear beautiful when positioned just right. Even the night can make one shine when the cloak of stars forces you to lean in close to see all.

But as he tilts his head to the sky, it's suddenly clear he was made for moments like this.

Moments where the sky is a dull white blanket of clouds. Where everything is covered in that pale and dreary haze that dims almost all the world's colors. Where the air is full of mist that can't be seen until it settles shining over his closed eyes and that faint trace of a smile. Where everything is hushed to hear calm and easy breaths. Where there's a chilled breeze that runs fingers through honey brown curls and paints his cheeks and twitching ear pink. Where he stands so vivid. Where he seems so at peace.

He could stand just as beautifully under the sun, just as pretty veiled in night, but the light would seem so harsh in comparison, the dark so consuming. An ill fit.

He was made for this grayed world. Made, not to create them, but to bring out the still beauty and the sharp edges and the quiet and real life in this world.

Ooh, go on... what's your cosmic horror story about? You've got me intrigued

It's a cosmic horror, mystery, and tragedy all wrapped in one.

Breifest summary: it follows a private investagator named Thomas Taylor II whose curiousity constantly gets the better of him, leading him further and further down a neverending rabbit hole of horrific revelation after horrific revelation.

His curiousity, much like the cat, kills him, but not after he, and he alone, learns of the horrific fate that his world will be consumed by an alien lifeform in its life cycle of growth and spreading of itself.

Show and Tell Tuesday/WIP Wednesday

Thank you @queen--kenobi for the tag. Call it kismet because I have a Show and Tell and a WIP to give. 🤗

For the past week and a half I have been sketching some art to show what my Fanart challenge art will look like. I wanted the people who requested characters to see what they would look like. So I sketched two characters that weren’t requested and Rhagerys.

Then I have a little peek into where I am at in my story.

TW: Father/son relationship heavily implied the little snippet (nothing graphic).

Show and Tell. I want to precursor that these are ROUGH sketches. The other ones that I will draw will be more detailed. I just wanted to reacquaint myself with the realism side of art.

Just the three guys that rotate in my mind constantly. I have to give Rhagerys his braids.

I wanted to draw Rhagerys and Aemond together. Idk why Rhage has such pouty looking lips in the first picture but I like them. And the second I tried to draw a hint of Rhage’s eye but it looked weird…so, yeah.

Now the WIP (It may be a little rough. I wrote it this morning)

Daemon snaked his right arm around Rhagerys. He simply gave Rhagerys’s ass a light squeeze. “Get dressed.” He gently instructed. He moved his arm away from his son. Daemon lightly pushed Rhagerys towards his discarded undershirt and doublet that laid upon the floor. Rhagerys followed his father's instructions. He went over to where his clothing was dropped to earlier. He picked up his undershirt and quickly pulled it on. He reached down for his doublet. “Then off to bed, it’s late.” Daemon gestured to the door. Rhagerys glanced to his father as he adjusted his doublet and haphazardly buckled it up. “Yes, Kepa.” He started for the door to head back to his chambers. His mind was racing with many thoughts. He did not fully understand all that had happened. He was quite confused. He enjoyed what his father had done to him but he did not like how it was done. He knew in the moment it was something he found pleasurable. But now he felt odd. He felt almost...soiled in a way. “Rhagerys,” Rhagerys stopped just as his fingers brushed the handle of the door. A slight unease mixed with anticipation made a shiver creep up his spine. He turned to look towards his father. The chair was empty. Rhagerys's eyes drifted to where his father stood. His father had since moved from his seat. He was now at the table pouring himself some more wine. “Yes, Kepa?” Daemon took a quick sip of wine. “You were a good boy tonight.” Rhagerys could not help the smile that appeared in his face. “Thank you, Kepa. For helping me,” Rhagerys gave a slight head shake. “for teaching me the pleasures I have denied myself.” Daemon simply titled his head in acknowledgment. He motioned to the door once more. “To bed.” He watched his son bow his head and exit the room. Once the door was shut, Daemon sighed and shook his head. All of what he had done was more work than he had imagined. But he knew that each time it would get easier and easier. To where Rhagerys may not initiate it but he would eagerly accept and want it.
